Abstract

The development of communication and information technology has become an opportunity in the development of learning. Conventional learning is no longer effective in improving student learning outcomes. So it is important to apply technology integration as a medium and resources in a blended learning system. This study aims to measure how effective the application of blended learning in improving the learning outcomes in hydrocarbon compound. Using quantitative methods, this research is experimental research. The research object was divided into control class and experimental class, data mining was carried out with test and questionnaire. The analysis technique uses N-Gain Score and One-sample T-Test with counting technique assisted by IBM SPSS Statistics 22. The results showed that the application of blended learning to increase students' conceptual understanding in the category of "quite effective" with an increase in the percentage of concept understanding scores in the experimental class by 57.80% was far higher than the increase in the control class by 15.51%. Increasing the character development of students through blended learning is high. The lowest value (lower) is 3.6095 while the highest value (upper) is 3.6858 with an average value of 3.64 can be categorized as high.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the possibility of changes in the hair color on young sugar gliders (Petaurus breviceps) were given additional fruits in the feed. Research has been conducted in the Small Mammal Captive Breeding of Zoology Division, Research Center for Biology - LIPI, Cibinong, Bogor. Descriptive method used in this study with 10 days of preliminary and 90 days (3 months) of data collection period. The research material used is 16 young sugar gliders aged about 2-3 months, divided into 2 groups namely group I consists of 8 sugar gliders (4 male and 4 female) whose the parent is brownish brown color, while group II consists of 8 sugar gliders (4 male and 4 females) whose the parent are gray in color. Each group received 2 feeding porridge formulations T0 (control) and T1 (T0 + kepok banana (Musa balbisiana), watermelon (Citrullus lanatus), and red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus)). T0 feed composition consists of brown rice porridge, boiled chicken eggs, honey, calcium, and water. Sugar gliders is given live superworm (Zophobas morio) every Tuesday and every Thursday is given live crickets (Gryllidae). During the observation each pair  of young sugar glider is placed in a wire enclosure (60 cm x 42 cm x 42 cm) equipped with feeding box, drinking water bottle and a hammock. The results showed that the average of dry matter intake T1> T0. KII / T0 / enclosure 6 show higher of body weight gain and feed efficiency than KI / T1 / enclosure 4. The addition of fruits into the T1 diet did not show any discoloration in hair on sugar gliders in captivity.  Keywords: fruits, feed intake, hair/fur color, Petaurus breviceps

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Tokay gecko saliva on morphology and angiogenesis response on the healing process of skink tail wound and also to characterize the protein profile of Gecko saliva. Twelve skinks were autotomized and wound surface of tail smeared by young gecko saliva, adult gecko saliva, and human?s saliva twice per day and control. The morphological changes of the wound surface were observed. The angiogenesis response was observed in vitro using Chorioallantois Membrane (CAM) of the ninth day's chick embryos. Protein profile of gecko saliva analyzed with SDS-PAGE. Generally, treated wound showed a better healing. Young gecko saliva able to stimulate angiogenesis in wound healing stage of sun skink tail after autotomy. Saliva protein of young and adult Gecko differences was not only in the size (or density) but also in the number of the bands. The young and adult Gecko revealed a striking consistency of protein patterns, indicating a profound physiological stability of the whole saliva. This study showed that Gecko saliva able to accelerate wound healing, thus Gecko saliva may have potential me as a future therapeutic for treating infected wounds.Keywords: Tokay gecko saliva, wound healing, sun skink tail, angiogenesis, protein profile.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aims of the research was to analyze nutrient requirements, performance, and feed efficiency of porridge formulation on sugar gliders (Petaurus breviceps) based on daily feed intake and digestibility. The research was conducted at the Small Mammal Captivity of Zoology Division, Research Center for Biology, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) Cibinong, Bogor. Descriptive method was used in this experiment, with 14 days of preliminary period and 70 days (10 weeks) of data collection. The research materials were 16 sugar gliders aged about 3-5 months and randomly divided into 2 treatments ie. 8 heads were given porridge formulation I (P0 - control treatment) and 8 heads were given porridge formulation II (PI) plus superworm 2 times a week. Estimation of feed digestibility done in vivo with the method of the feces total collection. Variables of this experiment are daily feed intake, nutrient requirement, total digestible nutrients (TDN), daily weight gain, and feed efficiency. The feedstuff of the porridge formulation consist of siamese banana (Musa sp.), watermelon (Citrullus lanatus), sweet potatoes (Ipomoea batatas), grape (Vitis vinifera), pear (Pyrus pyrifolia), boiled egg yolk, baby porridge, calcium, honey, boiled chicken meat, and superworm (Zophobas atratus). The results showed dry matter intake was 5.82 g/head / day or 29.31 g/head / day BB0.75 (P0) and 7.31 g/head/day or 34.16 g/head/day BB0.75 (PI). The average of body weight gain was 0.55 g / head / week (P0) and 0.73 g/head/week (PI) with feed efficiency ratio was 1.36% (P0) and 1.43% (PI). The PI treatment of porridge formulation II has improved the performance of sugar gliders in captivity.Keywords: Daily feed intake, weight gain, porridge formulation, sugar gliders, performance

Abstract

Desa Bingkulu yang berada di Kecamatan Tambang Ulang memiliki potensi-potensi yang beranekaragam, tetapi belum begitu dikenal masyarakat luas karena kurangnya informasi. Belum adanya proses pemetaan partisipasif dan survey toponimi di Desa Bingkulu menyebabkan sulitnya mengetahui informasi berbasis geografis yang ada di desa tersebut. Ketiadaan peta desa menyulitkan perangkat dan masyarakat desa untuk mengetahui informasi batas administratif, penggunaan lahan serta informasi toponimi di wilayah Desa Bingkulu, Kecamatan Tambang Ulang, Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Melalui Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dalam rangka tridarma perguruan tinggi tahun 2019, Program Studi DIII Teknik Geodesi melaksanakan pemetaan desa dengan memanfaatkan partisipasi dari masyarakat dan aparatur Desa Bingkulu. Hal ini bertujuan untuk membuat Peta Administratif Desa Bingkulu yang bisa dimanfaatkan maksimal oleh perangkat desa khususnya dan masyarakat desa pada umumnya. Pemetaan partisipasif dilakukan dengan cara survei lapangan dan survei toponimi. Selanjutnya penyajian dari peta desa dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan Sistem Informasi Geografis sehingga dihasilkan peta administratif desa tahun 2019 dan hasil survei toponimi sejarah beserta fasilitas umum yang ada di Desa Bingkulu. Abstract

Test Antioxidant Activity of Dutch eggplant (Solanum betaceum Cav.) with FRAP method. This study aims to measure and determine the antioxidant activity Dutch eggplant (Solanum betceum Cav.) with FRAP method. Dutch eggplant was analyzed qualitatively by using the metod FRAP with FRAP reagent. Quantitatively mix with the sample solution was analyzed by FRAP method Uv-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength 596 nm. By using trolox as a reference standard. The results obtained in this research that Dutch eggplant has antioxidant activity with an total value of antioxidant activity, 0,9353 µmol Trolox/gr sample.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kebutuhan peserta didik kelas X MAN 2 Semarang dalam pemahaman materi dengan menggunakan metode praktikum berbasis kontekstual sehingga peserta didik dapat menghubungkan materi dengan kehidupan nyata peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang biasa dikenal dengan istilah Research and Development (R&D). Model pengembangan yang direncanakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D. Model pengembangan 4-D tahap-tahapnya yaitu Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Hasil penelitian di MAN 2 Kota Semarang (1) Pada aspek kognitif tingkat kelulusan klasikal peserta didik mencapai 93 % terhadap materi sehingga dapat dikatakan efektif. (2) Pada aspek afektif  diperoleh hasil sebanyak 94,36 % nilai afektif peserta didik untuk mengikuti pembelajaran dikatakan dengan tingkat pencapaian Sangat Tinggi. (3) Pada aspek psikomotorik hasil pencapaian diperoleh sebanyak 96,09 % dengan kriteria pencapaian Sangat Tinggi. (4) Pada uji kelayakan buku petunjuk praktikum melalui angket tanggapan peserta didik dengan tingkat pencapaiannya ialah 91,2 % berada pada kriteria efektif. Buku petunjuk praktikum kimia berbasis kontekstual materi elektrolit dan non-elektrolit yang dikembangkan ini terbukti efektif dan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk menganalisis keefektifan bahan dari biji dan daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) yang digunakan sebagai koagulan.  Pada penelitian ini mengambil sampel satu liter air sungai yang keruh untuk setiap percobaan. Sebelumnya air diukur dahulu dengan turbidimeter. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penjernihan Air sungai dengan bubuk biji kelor didapatkan hasil 8,67 NTU untuk bubuk biji kelor 0.5 gram , 4.29 NTU untuk biji kelor 0.2 gram dan 3.07 NTU dengan biji kelor 0.1 gram. Hal ini artinya dalam praktikum penjernihan air dengan bubuk biji kelor yang telah dilakukan kualitas air bertambah jernih dan masih memenuhi persyaratan air bersih yang diperbolehkan. Dapat disimpulkan pula bahwa dalam penjernihan air 1 liter lebih efektif / idealnya dengan 0.1 gram bubuk biji kelor.
