Abstract

The success of fishing is influenced by several factors, namely knowledge about the fishing ground, fish behavior, fishing methods and techniques, and the fishing gear used. Gill nets (gill nets) are environmentally friendly fishing gear, protect marine habitats, and can be developed as fishing gear on a commercial scale. However, not all fishermen can make gill nets. Service activities are carried out aiming to provide education to fishermen in the form of activities to design, assemble, operate surface gill nets. Community service activities were carried out in Kampung Jawa, Banda Sakti District, North Aceh Regency using the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method and demonstrations. Gillnet has good prospects to be developed as a commercial fishing gear because raw materials are easy to obtain and can be used independently or in groups. This community service activity shows a success rate of 96%, this is shown by the ability of coastal fishermen to easily make GillNet and to do it in groups. Every stage of community service activities can be followed properly, even fishermen hope that this activity can be continued by making other fishing gear. Through this activity, it is hoped that fishermen will have the knowledge, skills and attitudes in running capture fisheries entrepreneurship, especially gill nets, considering that gill net fishing gear has a great opportunity to be developed in the coastal area of Lhokseumawe City.

Abstract

Agriculture Faculty of UNIMAL is one of the leading faculties in the field of agriculture and fisheries development in Sumatra. The idea of introducing ornamental plant business prospects was based on the COVID-19 pandemic, which dealt a tremendous blow to the economy of the community around the UNIMAL Faculty of Agriculture. The majority of the people around the institution have house rentals for UNIMAL students. The COVID-19 pandemic condition in Aceh forced UNIMAL to change the offline education system to an online system according to the direction of the Ministry of Education and Culture. This is done to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. In the online system, students carry out the learning process from their home region so they are not in the environment around UNIMAL. This has a direct impact on the people of East Reulet as a provider of rental houses. The solution that the team recommends is to turn into small and medium entrepreneurs who can generate additional income. The group of mothers can take advantage of their hobby, namely planting and collecting ornamental plants into an ornamental plant business that has great opportunities to be developed. The next solution is that housewives around Reulet Timur can use agricultural waste around them to be processed into bokashi plus fertilizer. Agricultural waste can damage the nutrient balance of the soil and invite pests and diseases in the surrounding area. The location of this activity is in Reuleut Timur Village, Muara Batu District, North Aceh Luaran Regency which is produced in the form of OJS-based service journals, online publications in mass media, and ornamental plant products and bokashi plus fertilizer which are ready to be marketed. The outputs of this service are articles in the IRPITAGE service journal Vol 1 (2) December 2021, news on activities on the fp.unimal.ac.id website, SPK (Cooperation Agreement) with partners and ornamental plant and fertilizer products.

Abstract

An essential tool for businesses to evaluate their position in the market and handle unpredictable times is a SWOT analysis. It looks at four key elements: the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of using AI-powered chatbots in educational settings. 14 students were chosen for the qualitative descriptive based on their prior interactions with chatbots driven by artificial intelligence. Open-ended questions from an interview guide were used in semi-structured interviews to learn more about participants’ perceptions, experiences, and difficulties using AI-powered chatbots. Following ethical study norms, digital voice recorders were utilized to guarantee precise transcription and analysis while protecting participant privacy and confidentiality. To learn more about the experiences and viewpoints of the participants, this method entailed finding, examining, and summarizing patterns or themes in the data collection. Significant strengths of AI-powered chatbots in the educational context include quick and tailored replies, improved accessibility, and ongoing assistance. They encourage self-directed learning and increase learning efficiency. Nonetheless, difficulties include managing intricate inquiries, a lack of empathy, an excessive dependence on technology, and worries over data security and privacy. Maximizing the promise of AI-powered chatbots while addressing their limits to enhance instructional practice and results requires striking a balance between these strengths and weaknesses

Abstract

Many students encounter learning obstacles when understanding the volume of cylinders and cones; however, few studies have explicitly integrated these obstacles into didactic design. This study aimed to develop a didactic design to address specific learning obstacles in understanding the volume of cylinders and cones. Using a Didactic Design Research (DDR) approach grounded in Brousseau’s Theory of Didactic Situations, the study involved 28 seventh-grade students and a mathematics teacher from a junior high school in Pontianak, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observations, diagnostic tests, and interviews and then analyzed qualitatively using interpretative and critical techniques. The didactic design consisted of four didactic situations: action, formulation, validation, and institutionalization, implemented in classroom practice. The institutional phase revealed several limitations, particularly a lack of sufficient scaffolding and inadequate visual support for students’ spatial reasoning. The findings indicate that addressing epistemological obstacles, such as misconceptions regarding the interpretation of height and base area in three-dimensional solids, can enhance students’ conceptual understanding. The study suggests that integrating learning obstacle analysis into didactic design helps refine future implementations to better anticipate students’ cognitive development.

Abstract

The decline in solar panel performance due to dust and dirt is oneof the obstacles in the use of solar energy. This study discusses thedesign and implementation of an automatic cleaning system on solar panelsusing an LDR sensor to measure light intensity and a PZEM-017 sensorto read current values. The system works by monitoring the condition of the panel through comparison of current and light resistance values, then triggering wateringwhen dirt is detected on the panel surface. Testing the accuracy of the deviceshowed an average error of 1.10% in voltage, 0.048% in current, and0.09% in light resistance, indicating that the data readings were close to themeasurement values. The test was conducted under clear and partly cloudy conditions. Under clear weather conditions, the current recorded was less than 1.6A with LDR sensor resistance less than 110Ω, while under partly cloudy weather conditions, the current recorded was less than 1.5A with LDR sensor resistance less than 140Ω. At night or in rainy conditions, the current produced was 0.03–0.00A withLDR sensor resistance ≥ 510Ω, so that watering could not be carried out on thesurface of the solar panel. The test results prove that the system candistinguish between a decrease in panel performance due to dirt and low light intensity, so that watering is only carried out under appropriate conditions ABSTRAK Penurunan kinerja panel surya akibat debu dan kotoran menjadi salah satu kendala dalam pemanfaatan energi surya.

Abstract

Doom spending is an impulsive consumptive behavior that emerges as a form of escape from psychological pressure, stress, or economic uncertainty. Generation Z, as the most digitally exposed generation, is particularly susceptible to this behavior due to the strong influence of social media and digital lifestyles. This study aims to analyze the impact of doom spending on the economic resilience of Generation Z families and to examine this phenomenon through the perspective of Jasser Auda's Maqasid Syariah with an Islamic legal sociology approach. The research method used is an empirical-sociological approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that doom spending has a negative impact on the ability of families to meet basic needs, save money, and maintain financial stability. The main driving factors include fear of missing out (FOMO), digital social pressure, and low financial literacy. In Jasser Auda's sociological perspective of law, doom spending is not merely an individual moral behavior, but a social phenomenon that indicates a weak internalization of maqasid al-syariah values, particularly hifz al-māl (preserving wealth) and hifz al-'aql (preserving reason). Auda emphasizes that Islamic law is a dynamic system that connects divine values with social reality. Therefore, the solution to doom spending must be directed at social and spiritual reconstruction, by integrating the principles of maslahah (benefit), tawazun (balance), and mas'uliyyah (social responsibility) in the consumption behavior of Muslim families. This study affirms the importance of synergy between modern financial literacy and maqasid sharia values in building family economic resilience in the digital age, so that the consumption behavior of Generation Z can be directed towards sustainable and equitable prosperity.   Keywords: Doom Spending, Generation Z, Family Economic Resilience, Maqasid Sharia, Islamic Legal Sociology.
