Abstract

Agency problems arise because there is a gap in interests between shareholders or principals as shareholders and agents who are authorized parties or managers to run the company's business. The root of agency problems lies in the division of roles between shareholders, who own capital, and management, who run the company. This research aims to provide empirical evidence regarding the influence of capital structure and company size on earnings management, with profitability as a moderator. The population of this research includes 63 mining sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018–2021 period. A sample of 17 companies was selected based on the sampling criteria for the intended sampling method. The results of this research indicate that fluctuating capital structures and company size influence revenue management variables. Using the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) test shows that profitability can moderate the impact of capital structure on earnings management and can moderate the impact of company size on earnings management. To maintain a good image, management will adopt policies that will affect reporting in the financial statements.

Abstract

This research develops a sustainable supply chain system model for the cigar waste agroindustry at CV Dwipa Nusantara Tobacco, Jember, using the Interpretative Structural Modelling (ISM) approach. Cigar waste, previously considered valueless, is processed into diversified products that have the potential to enhance the company's economic value. The designed model aims to address inefficiencies in the supply chain that prevent optimal utilization of waste. ISM identifies key elements in the supply chain, such as raw material supply, labor, and processing technology. The study analyzes the export supply chain of cigar waste at CV Dwipa Nusantara Tobacco Jember. Three main elements are identified: needs, barriers, and institutions, each with interrelated sub-elements. Using the Reachability Matrix (RM), relationships among sub-elements are examined using transitivity rules. The results reveal sub-elements that act as key drivers, particularly in raw material availability, production technology, and export regulations. These findings are expected to enhance supply chain efficiency and improve product competitiveness in international markets.

Abstract

Research to understand consumer needs and plan strategic service quality improvements. The research method used is descriptive quantitative by collecting data through questionnaires to 100 respondents who meet certain criteria. Data was analyzed based on five SERVQUAL dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. The research results show that the average gap in the five SERVQUAL dimensions is positive, indicating a good level of customer satisfaction, but still requires improvement in several aspects, such as the number of employees, responses to complaints, and payment systems. Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) analysis identifies priority attributes that must be improved, while House of Quality (HOQ) analysis produces improvement strategies, including the implementation of a modern payment system, employee training, and the provision of supporting facilities. This research concludes that structured and continuous service improvements are needed to increase consumer satisfaction and business competitiveness. Strategic recommendations are provided to support the sustainability of Resto Kemuning Polije in facing competition in the service industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of disaster risk on the stability and the ability of rural Indonesia to mobilize third-party funds. The data used in this research comprises information from 1,502 rural banks across 283 cities or regencies in 37 provinces. Observations of these rural banks were conducted over five years, from 2019 to 2023, yielding an unbalanced panel data with 7,226 observations. The methodology employed in this study is panel data analysis using a fixed effect model. The results indicate that disaster risk has a negative and significant effect on the stability of rural banks. In contrast, the ability of rural banks to mobilize third-party funds is not affected by disaster risk. A more in-depth analysis reveals that differences in rural banks' characteristics also influence the impact of disaster risk. Rural banks located on Java Island and those not owned by the government are more significantly impacted in terms of financial stability. Meanwhile, government-owned rural banks are more affected by their ability to mobilize third-party funds. These findings suggest that rural banks located on Java Island and those not government-owned should implement better risk mitigation measures, such as collaborating with larger financial institutions for asset management, to reduce the negative impact of disaster risk on economic stability.

Abstract

Nutritional status, anemia, and age at menarche are important indicators in assessing the health and development of adolescent girls. Proper nutrition and adequate hemoglobin levels play a crucial role in ensuring that menarche occurs at a normal age. Anemia in adolescent girls can affect physical and cognitive development and increase future health risks. This study aims to describe the nutritional status, anemia status, and age at menarche among female students at SDIT Smart Insani Yukum Jaya, Central Lampung Regency, in 2025. This research employs a descriptive design with a quantitative approach. The study sample consists of female students who have experienced menarche, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through body mass index (BMI) measurements for nutritional status, hemoglobin level tests for anemia, and interviews regarding age at menarche. Data analysis was conducted descriptively in the form of frequency distribution and percentages. The results show that most respondents have a normal nutritional status, although some students exhibit undernutrition and overnutrition. Additionally, the prevalence of anemia among students who have experienced menarche is relatively significant, with hemoglobin levels below the normal threshold. The age at menarche varies, with the average age still within the normal range, although some cases of early or delayed menarche were observed. Nutritional status and anemia influence the age at menarche among students at SDIT Smart Insani Yukum Jaya. Better nutritional interventions and anemia prevention programs are needed to improve adolescent girls' health.
