Abstract

This systematic review study aims to determine Moodle e-learning in physics learning in terms of nationally published journals. This type of research is a systematic review study using the Prisma model. The dominant research methodology is quantitative research with descriptive statistical analysis. The findings in this study are that the author of many articles contains Research & Development (R&D) research on physics learning devices, the distribution of authors and institutions is uneven, and the data obtained is in the form of numbers. Data analysis was performed manually and using Vosviewer software. Data analysis that was done manually included: SINTA level, year, author, institution, use of Moodle, keywords, samples based on educational level, type of research, and data analysis in the research of each article. The results of the article review show that the use of Moodle e-learning is more widely used in the development of teaching materials than used in classroom learning experiments. So it can be concluded that the need for learning development by utilizing the Moodle platform so that learning is more meaningful and enjoyable is not only used only for physics learning training.

Abstract

Problem-solving ability is important for students to have. This is useful for students as an effort to be able to address every problem in real life critically. This study aims to analyze students' problem-solving abilities after using physics learning media based on problem-based learning (PBL). This problem-solving ability is carried out on global warming material on the greenhouse effect. The subjects of this study were 35 students of class XI MIPA 4 at SMA N 1 Depok, Yogyakarta. The method used in this research is the descriptive analysis method. Data collection was carried out by observation and written tests. Based on the results of the analysis of students' problem-solving abilities, an average score of 75.37 was obtained in the very high category. Analysis of each indicator, including identify problems obtaining an average score of 72.22 (high category), diagnose problems obtaining an average score of 74.07 (high category), formulate strategic alternatives obtaining an average score of 79.63 (very high category). high), determine and choice strategy obtain an average score of 77.78 (very high category), and indicators evaluate the success of the strategy obtain an average score of 73.15 (high category).

Abstract

Teachers are expected to have several competences; master teaching materials and have Indonesian character and personality, inspire and be a role model, have a charming appearance, be authoritative, firm, sincere, and disciplined who are able to educate, learn, guide, direct, train, assess, and evaluate students in accordance with the demands of current and future developments in information and communication technology. The purpose of this research is to develop a word press-based website to improve students' creative thinking skills in the physics concept of impulse and impact momentum. The method used in this research is development research or Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model including five stages, namely the Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate stages. The results showed that the wordpress-based website media developed was feasible to use for learning momentum, impuils and collisions on MA Ali Maksum students in class X physics subjects with a value of 86.3% media attractiveness aspect, 87.0% material adequacy and 83.7% language use and media validity declared feasible, and wordpres-based website learning media can also improve students' creative thinking skills on the concept of momentum, impulse and collision.

Abstract

Integrating technology has a positive impact on science learning. Technology multiplatform can be used as a didactic tool is physics education technology (PhET). This study aims to develop worksheet integrated PhET simulations. The development adopted the 4D model. The designed activity aims to engage students in critical thinking. The instrument for measuring critical thinking consists of 5 questions based on the critical thinking aspect: interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, and explanation. Content and media experts and two practitioners validated the media. The validation result shows a V index between 0.80 - 1.00 for all aspects with very high categories. The readability test was administered to 20 students and gained very good results. The effectiveness test was conducted on two different classes. The experiment class uses a worksheet integrated PhET, while the control class uses a worksheet without PhET. Students in the experiment class had higher critical thinking skills scores than those in class control. It can be interpreted that using worksheet-integrated PhET affected students' critical-thinking skills. The results of this study can be used as a reference for integrating technology into science learning

Abstract

Attitude towards physics is one of the key factors in determining the success of physics learning. The solution to ensure a positive attitude towards physics requires a good diagnostic instrument. This study aims to develop an instrument that can measure attitudes toward physics validly and reliably. This study was conducted by validating the instrument with 8 experts physics education. Validation data was analysed using the Vaiken formula a score of 0.90 was obtained, which means that all items are valid. After the validation stage, the instrument was tested on 423 respondents consisting of high school students from the provinces of East Java and Riau. The test data were analysed through four steps: 1) exploratory factor analysis, 2) confirmatory factor analysis, 3) Cronbach's alpha reliability, and 3) item response theory using the graded response model. The EFA results showed that from 16 question items, they resulted in groupings into 4 factors: Teacher and Physics as a Future Vocation, Physics learning, Physics as a Process, and Enthusiasm toward Physics. The reliability of the items based on cronbach's alpha score 0.94 category a very good reliability level. The performance of each item through the IRT GRM analysis shows that the item discrimination power is in the moderate to very high category, and the item support is in the easy to moderate category. The CATP test is feasible and reliable in measuring attitudes toward physics

Abstract

Technology advancements and an increasing number of mobile phone owners among junior high school students have opened opportunities for teachers to integrate technology into the learning process, especially in science learning. Before implementing mobile learning in the classroom, researchers must assess whether students are ready to adopt the technology. Adding the perspective of junior high school students in West Java, the research aims to present a quantitative survey on students' mobile learning readiness. An online questionnaire survey was used to collect data in this study. The results shown that students can use mobile learning in science learning. Almost all students have mobile phones to support mobile science learning. However, some students are still worried about the problem of costs when learning using mobile because it requires internet access. Nevertheless, students agreed to know more about mobile learning. These findings can serve as a reference point for further studies if mobile science learning is widely used in junior high schools.

Abstract

Enhancing High School Physics Learning Through Augmented Reality: A Bibliometric and Systematic Review. Objective: This study aims to investigate the research trends, opportunities, effectiveness, and challenges of implementing Augmented Reality (AR) technology in physics education through a systematic literature analysis. Methods: This research employed a bibliometric and systematic review approach of 45 selected journal articles obtained from the Scopus database. Data were extracted on May 2, 2025, covering publications from 2020 to 2025. The initial search using the keywords "(augmented reality) AND (physics learning)" yielded 167 documents, which were rigorously filtered based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The analysis was conducted using the Biblioshiny (R) software to generate thematic maps, publication trends, and collaboration networks. Findings: The findings reveal that AR technology provides significant opportunities to develop interactive, immersive, and contextual physics learning experiences, particularly in visualizing abstract physics concepts. AR has proven effective in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding, scientific literacy, and critical thinking skills. However, its implementation still faces crucial challenges, including a lack of curriculum-aligned content, limited technical infrastructure, and insufficient teacher training. Conclusion: Integrating AR technology into the physics curriculum has demonstrated a significant and positive impact on enhancing learning quality. Successful implementation depends on collaborative efforts among curriculum developers, educators, and policymakers to overcome the identified challenges. These findings provide a strategic foundation for developing sustainable, adaptive, and relevant physics education in the digital era. Keywords: augmented reality, conceptual understanding, physics learning, biblioshiny, systematic literature.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis game semakin berkembang sebagai strategi inovatif untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan motivasi peserta didik. Namun, pemanfaatan media teknologi berbasis game masih belum banyak dikuasai oleh guru di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengimplementasikan pembelajaran berbasis game melalui workshop yang memanfaatkan platform Gimkit sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif. Mitra dalam program pengabdian ini adalah komunitas belajar Edu-Station BI-20, yang mencakup lima sekolah, yaitu SMPN 2 Madiun, SMPN 3 Madiun, SMPN 4 Madiun, SMPN 11 Madiun, serta SMP Bakti Ibu Madiun. Kegiatan ini melibatkan berbagai pihak, termasuk pengawas SMP, kepala sekolah, serta para guru. Metode yang digunakan adalah workshop guru. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam mengintegrasikan Gimkit sebagai media pembelajaran yang interaktif. Hasil analisis mengungkapkan bahwa kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran Gimkit mengalami peningkatan signifikan, dari 2,59 (kategori rendah) menjadi 4,57 (kategori sangat tinggi). Selain itu, guru menjadi lebih percaya diri dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Implikasi dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa workshop berbasis komunitas dapat mempercepat adopsi metode pembelajaran inovatif serta mendorong kolaborasi antar sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an assessment instrument based on local wisdom that covers three domains in physics learning: affective, cognitive, and psychomotor domains, especially on temperature and heat topic. This instrument was developed to assess students' understanding of scientific concepts and attitudes after receiving temperature and heat material using interactive e-books, and remains relevant to the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research method uses the Research and Development (R&D) approach with development stages including planning, compilation, validation, and limited trials. Data collection techniques include tests and observations. The cognitive instrument is in the form of a pretest and posttest with multiple-choice item types. The affective instrument is a statement to assess scientific attitudes such as curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, openness to criticism, and cooperation. The psychomotor instrument is in the form of an observation sheet to assess students' presentation skills. The results of the validity and reliability tests show that all instruments are included in the good category and are suitable for use, but improvements are needed in terms of the number of respondents and the number of items to produce higher reliability values. The results of this assessment instrument development not only support instructional practices, but also its primary contribution lies in its ability to evaluate the three domains of student assessment comprehensively, while simultaneously enriching the scientific discourse on holistic assessment based on local wisdom in physics education.

Abstract

This study is a systematic review of 26 articles published between 2017 and 2024, focusing on misconceptions in science education within Indonesian schools. Misconceptions, defined as persistent misunderstandings that hinder effective learning, are a significant barrier to students' scientific literacy. The research employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, following the PRISMA model, to synthesize findings and address key research questions regarding these misconceptions.The analysis reveals that the majority of misconceptions were identified in 2023, accounting for 27% of the total findings, with a notable prevalence at the high school level (50%), followed by junior high (31%) and elementary schools (19%). In terms of subjects, physics misconceptions dominate at 50%, followed by chemistry (31%) and biology (19%). Geographically, East Java emerges as a hotspot for these misconceptions, representing 27% of the cases analyzed.This research contributes to the field of science education by highlighting critical areas where misconceptions occur, particularly in physics at the high school level. By identifying these misconceptions, educators can develop targeted interventions to enhance teaching strategies and improve overall student comprehension in science, ultimately fostering better scientific literacy among Indonesian students.
