Abstract

Abstract

Demersal fish capture activities using fish traps in the Seribu Islands have relatively high risks  as they involve divers, the operation of simple compressors, and dynamic marine environmental conditions. This study aims to analyze the level of risk at each stage of trap fishing, including preparation, fishing operations, and post-fishing activities, as well as to formulate appropriate control measures. The methods applied was Formal Safety Assessment (FSA) to evaluate risks based on frequency and severity. The results showed that most activities were classified as high risk, with 16,7% in the preparation stage, 65,2% in the fishing operation stage, and 61,5% in the post-fishing operation stage, while the remaining activities were categorized as medium risk, and no activities were identified as low risk. Internal factors such as physical fatigue, lack of knowledge, and non-compliance with safety procedures, and external factors such as unfavorable weather and strong underwater currents, were identified as the dominant causes of high risk. Comprehensive risk control is therefore required through regular equipment maintenance, the implementation of safe work procedures, and the consistent use of personal protective equipment to enhance the safety of trap fishers in the Seribu Islands. Abstract

Purse seine fishermen in Kutaraja Oceanic Fishing Port, Banda Aceh, face various socio-economic and environmental challenges that affect the sustainability of their fishing activities. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors influencing the resilience of these fishermen in facing such challenges. A quantitative approach was employed through a survey method, and data were collected from 100 purse seine fishermen using structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with multiple linear regression models. The findings show that income and social support significantly affect fishermens resilience, with p-values of 0.002 and 0.015 (p 0.05), respectively. Meanwhile, education and environmental conditions have less influence, indicated by p-values of 0.089 and 0.122 (p 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R) is 0.68, suggesting that 68% of the variance in fishermens resilience can be explained by these four variables. The practical implications of this research highlight the importance of empowering fishermen through enhanced access to education, skills training, and social infrastructure development to strengthen their resilience in dealing with environmental and economic changes in the fisheries sector. The study concludes that economic and social support systems are key drivers in improving fishermens adaptive capacity. Keywords:ResiliencePurse seineFishermenEnvironmentalBanda Aceh

Abstract

This study identifies major problems in the fisheries supply chain in East Java Province, where the capture fishing sector faces challenges such as a high number of rejected fish and a lack of effective waste management. Therefore, this research aims to identify the structure of the fish supply chain and value enhancement through reverse logistics, as well as to formulate strategies to optimize the supply value chain to increase efficiency and added value for all parties involved. The study used a descriptive method with qualitative and quantitative approaches, analyzed using reverse logistics and the USG (Urgency, Seriousness, Growth) method. The analysis shows that implementing reverse logistics effectively creates added value, with processed fishery waste products like crackers reaching a value of Rp18,500 per kilogram and waste management efficiency reaching Rp4,355,000 per day. Based on the USG analysis, the most optimal strategies are capacity building for supply chain actors (PPRT) and the development of integrated waste processing facilities (SPLT), which are key to optimizing the economic value of the entire chain, from fishing port to consumer. Abstract

The rapid growth of digital payment systems makes e-wallets increasingly important in the financial technology sector. This study examines the effect of perceived usefulness and cashback reward programs on e-wallet user satisfaction, with e-wallet involvement as a mediating variable. The data collection techniques are observation of how users interact with e-wallet applications through usage analysis and monitoring of how often transactions are made, interviews with the aim of gaining in-depth insight into user experience and literature studies by collecting journals, articles related to this study. The data analysis uses the Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach with SmartPLS 3.0, software following a two-stage approach: measurement model evaluation (outer model) and structural model evaluation (inner model). The measurement model assessment included convergent validity, discriminant validity, and reliability tests. The structural model evaluation examined path coefficients, significance levels, R-square values, and effect sizes.with data collected from 300 e-wallet users through purposive sampling. The population consisted of e-wallet users in Indonesia, with the sample selected using purposive sampling technique. The inclusion criteria required respondents to have used e-wallet applications for at least three months. The results indicate that perceived usefulness (β=0.137, p<0.05) and cashback reward programs (β=0.236, p<0.001) significantly influence e-wallet engagement. E-wallet engagement significantly affects user satisfaction (β=0.287, p<0.001), and perceived usefulness directly influences satisfaction (β=0.362, p<0.001). The mediation analysis reveals that e-wallet engagement partially mediates the relationship between both independent variables and user satisfaction. The findings suggest that e-wallet providers should focus on enhancing perceived usefulness and designing attractive reward programs while maintaining high user engagement to drive satisfaction.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of ESG disclosure, investment decisions, and financing decisions on firm value, with cash holdings acting as a moderating variable in the food and beverage subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Grounded in signaling and agency theory, the research aims to provide empirical evidence on how strategic financial and sustainability-related decisions influence market valuation. The study employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression based on 132 firm-year observations from 33 companies during the 2021–2024 period. Model estimation was conducted using the Fixed Effect Model following specification tests, while moderating effects were analyzed through interaction terms. The findings indicate that ESG disclosure and investment decisions proxied by capital expenditure have a positive and significant impact on firm value, whereas financing decisions measured by long-term debt do not exhibit a significant effect. Furthermore, cash holdings do not moderate the relationship between ESG disclosure and investment decisions with firm value; however, they significantly weaken the effect of financing decisions on firm value, suggesting the presence of financial inefficiency when liquidity is excessive. These results highlight the importance of sustainability transparency and capital allocation strategies in enhancing firm valuation while emphasizing the contextual role of liquidity management in corporate financing outcomes.
