Abstract

Environmentally friendly fishing technology unit is needed in sustainable fisheries management. The purpose of this study was to determine the fishing technology unit of kurau competitive and sustainable. Data collection was carried out from July to September 2016 in the Coastal Pambang of Bengkalis District of Riau Province, by using the survey method. The analytical data method used is scoring the biological, technical and socioeconomic aspects the fishing technology unit of kurau. Results of research show that combined analysis of biological, technical and socioeconomic aspects have the value of the VA fishing line function (2.48) is higher than the other three fishing gear. Thus, the fishing line is a selected fishing technology unit of kurau competitive and sustainable in the Coastal Pambang Bengkalis District. Keywords: competitive,coastal pambang, fishing technology, kurau fish,sustainable fishing

Abstract

South Bangka Regency is surrounded by sea waters which are in the central position of three fish migration routes (Strait of Malacca, Java Sea, and Natuna waters). Therefore, it has a great opportunity to develop its fish resources. This study aims to analyze the types of superior fish resources, production trends, and formulate priority strategies for the development of superior fish resources in South Bangka Regency waters. The methods used are the scoring method, curve estimation model, and the AHP method. Squid, shrimp, grouper, red snapper, and mackerel were selected as superior fish resources. The production trend of squid, red snapper, and grouper followed the polynomial model, while shrimp and mackerel were each logarithmic and exponential. The priority strategies for the development of superior fish resources in South Bangka Regency waters were promotion of optimizing the utilization of superior fish resources (RK= 0.250), introduction of technology and creative activities in fishing (RK= 0.217), and development of fisheries business based on regional potential (RK= 0.167).

Abstract

The supporting factor in creating a fish production database system is Law number 45 of 2009 about fisheries, article 46, paragraphs 1 and 2. The problem in Sukabumi Regency is the Marine and Fisheries Service does not have a fish production database system based on a website that includes Fish Landing Base. This study aims to develop a fish production database system in the fishing port class D (PPI). The method used in this research is the prototyping method. The superiority of fish production database systems based on the website can integrate the calculations from fish production per month so that there is no need to calculate or input data on fish production per year. Based on the results of the research, the fish production database system based on the website includes four fishing port (PPI) in Palabuhanratu Bay, including PPI Cisolok, PPI Ciwaru, PPI Ujung Genteng, and PPI Mina Jaya. Investors, fishermen, fish industry, researchers, and the general public can access fish production data and information on the website through the fish production menu per month, fish production menu per year, fish production menu for several years.

Abstract

AbstractMercury (Hg) and lead (Pb) are two heavy metals which run-off with waste water of industry,market, and office to territorial water of Jakarta Bay. Fishing ground in adjacent water ofMarunda, Bidadari Island, and Damar Island have been contaminated by Hg and Pb.Pelagic fish caught in Jakarta Bay have not been contaminated by Hg and Pb. However,demersal fishes that have been caught in the same area, a positively contaminated with Hgand Pb. The rate of Hg and Pb in fishing ground are signicantly influence by the rate of Hgand Pb in pelagic fish (NK Hg = 0,895 at sig 0,016 and NK Pb = 0,962 at sig 0,002) and indemersal fish (NK Hg = 0,825 at sig 0,043 and NK Pb = 0,894 at sig 0,016). The pattern ofHg contamination in fishing ground to pelagic fish and demersal fish each following linearmodel Y = -0,055 + 5,314 X, and quadratic model Y = -1,370 + 215,549X – 4190,579X2, where Xrepresents rate of heavy metal in fishing ground and Y represents rate of heavy metal in fishcaught by fisherman. While pattern of Pb contamination of fishing ground to pelagic fishand demersal fish each following cubic model Y = -0,006 +1,114X - 399,652X3 and sigmoidmodel Y = e0,627 – (0,10 / X).

Abstract

Maninjau Lake is the territorial waters of which contribute greatly to fish production in Agam, West Sumatra.  But a lot of waste of economic activities discharged into the lake.  This study aims to analyze the characteristics of fishing, contamination status of fishing ground and fish caught, to analyze the contamination pattern of fishing ground and fish caught as effect of economic activity waste.  The methods used are descriptive method, physic-chemical analysis, correlation method, and multiple regression method.  The results showed the fishing in Lake Maninjau, generally using langli net, lift net, hook and lines, and cast net.  While the main fish caught are nile tilapia, bada fish, rinuak fish, carp, and limbek fish.  Fishing ground in Maninjau Lake contaminated by ammonia, garbage, Cd and Hg metals, while the fish caught, there was found to have gills dirty.  Significantly, fishing ground disturbed by the waste of hydropower (X1), lake tourism (X2), settlements (X4), and KJA fisheries (X5).  The contamination pattern of fishing ground formulated by Y1=0,220X1+0,085X2+0,227X4+0,204X5-4,540.  Fish production disturbed significantly by the waste from hotel and restaurants (X3), seattlements (X4), and KJA fisheries (X5).  The contamination pattern of fish caught, represented by a decrease in fish production (Y2) formulated by Y2 =1,195X3+2,152X4+5,140X5-41,664.

Abstract

Produksi ikan yang tinggi dan mutu yang baik adalah sangat diharapkan oleh pelaku perikanan, termasuk di Teluk Jakarta. Namun hal ini bisa terkendala bila wilayah perairan yang menjadi tempat menangkap ikan (fishing ground) berada dalam status tercemar. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi status pencemaran fishing ground dan kondisi operasi penangkapan ikan, serta menganalisis dampak pencemaran tersebut terhadap jumlah produksi dan mutu ikan yang tertangkap. Metode analisis yang digunakan terdiri dari analisis fisiko-kimia, diagram pareto, dan analisis model.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perairan di sekitar fishing ground Teluk Jakarta tercemar kuat oleh bau, kekeruhan, sampah, dan logam Hg. Operasi penangkapan ikan di Teluk Jakarta umumnya menggunakan kapal < 5 GT, berlangsung 1-2 hari/trip, dengan hasiltangkapan dominan berupa ikan tongkol, layang, dan layur. Pencemaran fishing ground telah secara signifikan menurunkan jumlah produksi ikan di Teluk Jakarta (KP = -0,42, P = 0,00). Penurunan nyata terjadi pada produksi ikan layur (kelompok ikan demersal) dan ikan layang (kelompok ikan pelagis kecil). Mutu ikan yang tertangkap juga turun secara signifikan akibat pencemaran fishing ground (KP = -0,81, P = 0,00). Cacat mutu yang secara nyata meresahkan pelaku perikanan adalah insang kotor dan sisik berlendir. Kata kunci : mutu, fishing ground, Hg, pencemaran, ikan ABSTRACT THE IMPACT OF CONTAMINATION OF FISHING GROUND TO PRODUCTION AND QUALITY OF FISH CAUGHT IN JAKARTA BAY. High production and quality of fish are very expected by fishery stakeholders, inclusive in Bay Jakarta. But this matter can be burdened if territorial water with becoming fishing ground have contaminated status. The research aims to identify the contaminated status of fishing ground and operating conditions of fishing, and also to analyse the impact of its contamination to production and quality of fish caught. This research methods are physics and chemical analysis, diagram pareto, and model analysis. Research result shows that fishing ground in Bay Jakarta have been contaminated by aroma, turbidity, garbage, and Hg metal. Fishing operations in the Jakarta bay generally boat <5 GT, lasts 1-2 days / trip, with dominant catches form of tuna fish, float fish, and sword fish. The contamination of fishing ground have degraded significantlythe production amount of fish in Jakarta Bay (KP = -0,42, P = 0,00). The real degradationsare in production of sword fish (group of demersal fish) and float fish (group of small pelagic fish). The quality of fish caught also have droped significantly as impact by the contamination of fishing ground (KP = -9,81, P = 0,00). Quality defect freting clearly to fishery stakeholders are dirty gills and muccous of fish scales.

Abstract

Penurunan produksi ikan kurau dari tahun ke tahun menimbulkan banyak permasalahan bagi nelayan Pambang Pesisir, terutama masalah konflik sosial yang sering terjadi beberapa tahun ini.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan Prioritas strategipengelolaan usaha penangkapan ikan kurau kedepan, agar terciptanya pengelolaan usaha penangkapan ikan kurau berkelanjutan.Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai September 2016 di Pambang Pesisir Kabupaten Bengkalis Provinsi Riau dengan metode survei. Metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis hirarki proses (AHP). Hasil analisis menunjukkan strategi pengelolaan usaha penangkapan ikan kurau lebih diarahkan ke strategi konservasi (KONSERV) sebagai prioritas pertama dengan nilai sebesar (0,328), diikuti prioritas keduabantuan operasional (BOP) sebesar (0,245), prioritas ketiga penyuluhan dan pembinaan (PDP) sebesar (0,242) dan prioritas keempat kredit usaha rakyat (KUR) sebesar (0,184) dengan inconsistency terpercaya 0,04. Kata Kunci: Ikan kurau, Analisis hirarki proses, Konservasi, Pambang Pesisir

Abstract

Upaya untuk pengelolaan perikanan tangkap yang berpijak pada konsep efisiensi untuk meraih keunggulan komparatif dan kompetitif adalah dengan menentukan status pemanfaaatan ikan, khususnya ikan yang bernilai ekonomi penting sebagai tahap awal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan status pemanfaatan ikan khususnya ikan-ikan yang bernilai ekonomi penting di Selat Alas Propinsi NTB. Metode yang digunakan untuk menentukan tingkat pemanfaatan adalah dengan menggunakan potensi maksimum lestari dari Schaefer. Penelitian dilakukan di desadesa nelayan di sekitar Selat Alas Propinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB). Status pemanfaatan cumi-cumi (Loligo edulis) adalah sebesar 140,4%, tongkol (Euthynnus affinis) sebesar 156,6%, dan kerapu sebesar (Ephinephelus sp) 197,2% tergolong status over exploited. Sedangkan ikan cakalang (Katsuwanus pelamis) 72,6%, dan kakap merah (Lutjanus campechanus) sebesar65,7% berada dalam status moderately exploited. The effort of capture fisheries management which is based on the concept of efficiency is to achieve comparative and competitive advantages is by determine the status of utilization of fish, particularly fish its worth economy important as the early stage. The aim of this research is to determine utilization status fish catch, particularly fish its worth economy important in the Alas Strait of West Nusa Tenggara Province. The method has been used to determine the level of utilization of fish by using the maximum sustainable yield of Schaefer.The study was conducted in the fishing villages around the Alas Strait West Nusa Tenggara Province. Utilization status of squid (Loligo edulis) is 140,4%, small tuna (Euthynnus affinis) is 156,6%, and grouper (Ephinephelus sp) is 197,2 in the state of over exploited. While the utilization of status of skipjack tuna (Katsuwanus pelamis) is 72,6% and red snapper (Lutjanus campechanus) is 65,7% in the state of moderately exploited.

Abstract

Pengelolaan  perikanan yang dilakukan pemerintah sudah diarahkan untuk mencapai perikanan yang berkelanjutan, namun upaya yang dilakukan belum mendapat dukungan yang baik dari nelayan di Tanjungbalai Asahan, Sumatera Utara. Hal ini terlihat dari banyaknya nelayan yang tidak mematuhi aturan yang dibuat. Evaluasi terhadap kepatuhan nelayan sangatlah diperlukan karena manajemen perikanan merupakan kegiatan manajemen yang berfokus pada sumberdaya manusia dan aktivitasnya di bidang perikanan. Pengelola harus benar-benar memahami bagaimana nelayan atau stakeholder perikanan merespon segala peraturan yang dibuat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan faktor-fakor yang mempengaruhi kepatuhan nelayan dalam mendukung perikanan yang berkelanjutan ditinjau dari aspek karakteristik sosial-ekonomi dan persepsi. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis model persamaan struktural. Dalam analisis ini digunakan 4 variabel laten, yaitu karakteristik sosial-ekonomi nelayan, persepsi terhadap kriteria alat penangkapan ikan yang ramah lingkungan, persepsi terhadap keberadaan sumberdaya perikanan, dan kepatuhan terhadap aturan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepatuhan nelayan, antara lain; karakteristik sosial-ekonomi nelayan (organisasi, sosialisasi, investasi, dan pendapatan), persepsi terhadap kriteria alat penangkapan ikan yang ramah lingkungan, dan persepsi terhadap keberadaan sumberdaya perikanan.

Abstract

Perikanan giob di Kayoa, dikhususkan untuk mengeksploitasi ikan julung-julung. Kegiatan eksplotasi dilakukan sangat intensif dan hingga saat ini belum ada upaya pengelolaan. Penelitian bertujuan menentukan prioritas strategi pengelolaan perikanan giob yang berkelanjutan dan menyusun konsep implementasi dari strategi pengelolaan perikanan giob terpilih. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara dan pengisian kuisoner. Analisis data menggunakan metode AHP (Analisis Hierarki Proses). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prioritas strategi pengelolaan perikanan giob yang berkelanjutan di Kayoa, Halmahera Selatan yaitu pengawasan terhadap eksploitasi sumberdaya ikan julung julung. Konsep implementasi dari strategi prioritas pengawasan adalah pengaturan waktu penangkapan, pengawasan terhadap penangkapan ilegal, pengawasan terhadap pengolahan hasil tangkapan, pengawasan terhadap jaringan pemasaran, dan sosialisasi tentang pentingya Pendapatan Asli Daerah. Perlu dibentuk daerah perlindungan laut di Kayoa, Halmahera Selatan sehingga dapat memantau kegiatan pemanfaatan dan pengelolaan sumberdaya ikan julung-julung sebagai target tangkapan utama alat tangkap giob.Giob fisheries in Kayoa is specialized to exploitat halfbeak fish. This activitiy is undertaken intensively and no management effort until now. The research objective were to determine the priority of management strategies for sustainable giob fisheries and to formulate the implementation of the selected management strategy for giob fisheries. Data was collected by using interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis used AHP (Analysis of Hierarchy Process). The result showes that the priority of management strategices for sustainable giob fisheries in Kayoa, South Halmahera, was the supervision of exploitation of halfbeak resources. The implementation concepts of monitoring the priority strategy are: setting the fishing time, supervisie the illegal fishing, supervisie the catch processing, supervisie the marketing network, and socialize the impotance of region income. It is necessary to develop a local marine sanctuary in Kayoa, South Halmahera which is in charge of overseeing the utilization and management of halfbeak fish resources as the main target of giob.
