Abstract

Waste is a substance, energy or components that could be degrading the environmental quality. Waste (pollutants) may be solid, liquid and gas. Liquid waste in the form of fish oil and some gas or solid waste from fish processing in Muncar, Banyuwangi has positive and negative impacts for the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the influence of fish processing wastes on aquatic ecosystems and the economic aspects of communities around the industrial area as well as ways to overcome them. This study uses descriptive research method with interview techniques and field observations in three stages, namely interviews, observation and determination. The independent variable is industrial waste. Dependent variable is the environment surrounding industrial area. There are changes in color, odor and sediment colloids in the waters around the industry. Disease often complained about the plant communities are coughing and itching. For people who were left to waste disposal plants, the waste is very harmful to society, but for the scavengers of fish oil, waste to be very beneficial because it can make money. Profits average of fish oil processing is 52.67%. The way of handling liquid waste pollution is can be making room seepage, selfpurification and the establishment of fish oil processing plant.Key words: waste, industry, fish processing, Muncar, environmental

Abstract

In this industrial revolution 4.0 era, professional science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) bachelor must have various skills. One of which is problem-solving skills. The development of problem-solving skills (PSS) is very important in higher education. Students must have PSS that must be improved to become excellent graduates, including physics bachelor candidates. Many physics bachelor candidates lack problem-solving skills. This problem is the basis for developing innovative learning models based online that, by design, can improve the problem-solving skills of physics bachelor candidates in the COVID-19 pandemic. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness ORNE learning model in improving the problem-solving skills of physics bachelor candidates as an alternative to online learning in the COVID-19 pandemic. The research design used a true-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design with 58 physics bachelor candidates. Data collected using the problem-solving skills test and then analyzed using the Paired Sample Test, Effect Size, N-gain, and Independent Sample Test. The results showed that the ORNE learning model proved effective in improving physics bachelor candidates' problem-solving skills. This research implies that the ORNE learning model can improve physics bachelor candidates' problem-solving skills as an alternative to online learning in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Sentra Pelayanan Agribisnis (SAPA) is an agricultural organization owned and operated by a farmer community in Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia. SAPA adopts information technology (IT) to improve the effectivity of its internal communication. SAPA started IT adoption by a careful planning. The step includes organizing the map of IT strategy and formulating the key performance indicators. The purpose of this research is to arrange a strategy map of SAPA IT division, to formulate the key performance indicators using Balanced Scorecard approach, and to implement as a mobile web application. Results of this research include a strategy map of SAPA IT division, key performance indicators, and a prototype of mobile web application. It can be concluded that IT adoption supported by a strong leadership improves effectivity of the information flows within the researched agriculture organisation.

Abstract

This article aimed to present the relationship between Indonesian culture with various aspects (education, welfare, arts, and religion) and showing the uniqueness of Indonesian culture. The procedural of this systematic review used the Suprapto et al., (2020) guided method, including defining the purpose, conducting literature, selecting articles, reading full paper, abstracting data, and performing analysis. The articles' criteria to be analyzed must be in the English version, published in the social sciences citation indexed (SSCI) journal in the period of 2016-2020. The articles included four fields (education, welfare, art, and religion) as a representation of Indonesian intercultural in several aspects. The result of this study showed that there was an interplay between Indonesian culture and four aspects of the fields, even between aspects. Although Indonesia has a lot of cultures and several aspects would be influenced, however, religion is the strongest aspect related to Indonesian culture.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to analyze the type of violation and flouting the maxim of teacher-student interaction in the English teaching and learning process in MA Hasyim Asy’ari Bangsri and also find the most frequently produced between violation and flouting of the maxim. This research used the descriptive qualitative method. The data was obtained from the conversation between the teacher and students during the teaching and learning process and analyzed by categorizing utterances based on the violation and flouting maxim theory of the Cooperative Principle. The data were collected through the observation then analyzed by using the technique which is suggested by Miles and Huberman that consists of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion or data verification. The result of the research showed that there are four types of maxims that are violated by the teacher and students. These are the maxim of quantity 11 (50%), the maxim of quality 5 (22.73%), the maxim of relation 1 (4.54%), and the maxim of manner 5 (22.73%). The dominant violation was the maxim of quantity with 11 occurrences. Based on the findings, there are three types of flouting maxims in which the most of flouting maxim that is occurred was the maxim of relation. They are divided into 1 (14.29%) maxim of quantity, 2 (28.57%) maxim of quality, and 4 (57.14%) maxims of relation. In conclusion, the most produced between the violation and flouting was the violation of maxim with 22 (75.86%) of total occurrences. Meanwhile, the proportion of flouting maxim was 7 (24.14%).

Abstract

Aksara Sunda merupakan salah satu aksara daerah Indonesia khususnya masyarakat Sunda. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi seperti sekarang ini, bahasa daerah pun semakin tergerus dari waktu kewaktu. Aksara Sunda pun mulai terlupakan, bahkan jarang digunakan oleh masyarakat Sunda dalam kehidupan sehari-hari serta kurangnya memahami Bahasa daerahnya sendiri. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pelestarian Bahasa daerah yang dikembangkan menyesuaikan perkembangan jaman agar bisa terus dikenal dan dilestarikan, salahsatunya dengan identifikasi aksara Sunda menggunakan metode Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) adalah bagian dari deep learning yang biasanya digunakan dalam pengolahan data gambar. Hasil dari penelitian ini  menggunakan optimasi ADAM dengan penggunaan epoch 20, 50, 100 dan 500. Penggunaan epoch 500, learning rate 0.1 merupakan nilai tertinggi dengan akurasi 98.03%. Berdasarkan hasil data training dengan nilai epoch 100, learning rate 0.001 hasil akurasi sebesar 96.71% data training dan 92.02% data testing.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi metode wafa dalam Pembelajaran Al-Qur’an dengan menggunakan aplikasi Murotal berbasis android. Peneliti memilih Guru Ngaji di Desa Demung Kec Besuki Kab. Situbondo. Adapun objek penelitian adalah Implementasi Metode Wafa dalam Pembelajaran Juz 30 berbasis Android, sedangkan subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Guru Ngaji di Desa Demung Kec. Besuki. Abstract

This paper aimed at finding out the types of teacher‟s directive expressions at two schools and describing the realizations of directive expressions in English teaching. This research was designed as a qualitative and comparative study. The subjects of the research were English teachers at one Senior High School (first School) at Semarang city and one (second school) at Jepara city. The data of this research were gained through recording, observation and interview. The result showed that there were 11 illocutionary kinds found in the teacher‟s directive expressions at the first school, and 8 illocutionary types in teacher‟s directive expressions at the second school. The most illocutionary kind found in the conversation of teaching activity in both schools was question. The directive‟s expression in both schools used direct and indirect utterances. The teachers of first school more often used language instruction in the classroom because they applied varieties of directive expression. Meanwhile, the teachers at the first school used little directive expressions in English teaching because they did not apply varieties of directive‟s expressions. The implication in teaching learning English process is that teacher-centered and student-centered type of learning depends on the frequency of production of directive expressions. More directives the teacher expresses, more center the learning by the teacher. On the other hand, less directives the teacher expresses, less center the learning by the teacher.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra adalah tidak adanya aplikasi ujian online berbasis android. Selama ini mitra hanya menggunakan ujian berbasis kertas, dan peserta didik dikenalkan ujian berbasis online hanya ketika simulasi ujian nasional berbasis komputer. Disamping itu, pemahaman guru tentang asesmen HOTS (higher order thinking skills) masih rendah yang dibuktikan dengan masih terdapat 14% guru yang belum mengetahui penilaian hots.  Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membantu mitra pengabdian dalam dalam mengelola penilaian pembelajaran dengan cara pembuatan dan pendampingan aplikasi asesmen hots dan pelatihan pembuatan soal hots. Mitra pengabdian ini adalah SMK Al-Hidayah yang terletak di Desa Langon Kecamatan Tahunan Kabupaten Jepara yang terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru, admin, dan peserta didik. Untuk memecahkan permasalahan tersebut, maka solusi yang diberikan adalah 1) pembuatan aplikasi asesmen HOTS berbasis android yang dilakukan dengan tahapan: analisis kebutuhan, pembuatan aplikasi, simulasi penggunaan aplikasi asesmen HOTS berbasis android, sosialisasi kepada pengguna, dan pelatihan dan pendampingan penerapan asesmen hots. 2) Solusi kedua adalah dengan cara pembuatan modul HOTS. Pembuatan modul ini dilaksanakan dengan memperhatikan aspek bahasa, petunjuk, dan tampilan. Dalam panduan ini, petunjuk masing-masing pengguna dibedakan untuk memudahkan pengoperasiannya, sehingga akan ada petunjuk bagi admin, guru, dan peserta didik. 3) Solusi ketiga adalah pendampingan aplikasi asesmen berbasis hots bagi kepala sekolah/admin, guru, dan peserta didik. Aplikasi ini dapat diakses melalui 1) alamat web/url http://www. hotssmkalhidayahjepara.com/admin/login.php atau 2) melalui playstore dengan cara mendownload aplikasi tersebut. Bagi guru, mengupload soal akan lebih mudah jika mengakses melalui web/url, sedangkan bagi peserta didik akan lebih mudah mengakses melalui aplikasi.

Abstract

Character education can be defined as a process of giving guidance tolearners to develop attitudes and behavior optimally. The first step inbuilding Character education must be start from the family environmentbecause the family is the primary and first source for the child to acquireand build character. Good or bad character of a child is very much neededby the family environment. The process of character education of childrenin the family can be done by parents by using several ways such asexemplary, habituation, advice and tips and motivation for children. Theattainment of the character education process within the family environment depends on the harmony between parent, child, the means used and the supportive environment. Pendidikan karakter dapat diartikan sebagai proses pemberian tuntunankepada peserta didik untuk mengembangkan sikap dan perilaku secaraoptimal. Pendidikan karakter pertama kali harus dilaksanakan di dalamlingkungan keluarga karena keluarga merupakan sumber utama danpertama bagi anak untuk memperoleh dan membentuk sertamengembangkan karakter. Baik atau buruknya karakter anak sangatdipengaruhi oleh lingkungan keluarga. Proses pendidikan karakter anakdalam keluarga dapat dilakukan oleh orang tua dengan menggunakanbeberapa cara antara lain keteladanan, pembiasaan, nasehat dan hukuman serta motivasi terhadap anak. Tercapainya proses pendidikan karakter di dalam lingkungan kelurga bergantung pada keserasian antara orang tua, anak, cara yang digunakan serta lingkungan yang mendukung terjadinya proses pendidikan.
