Abstract

The sustainability of dairy cattle businesses in smallholder farms faces various complex and interconnected threats, especially after the outbreak of Foot-and-Mouth Disease, which worsened the national cattle population and milk production. This research aims to identify threats to the sustainability of dairy cattle businesses in Suci Village, Panti District, Jember, using a multidimensional risk approach that includes ecological, economic, social, technological, and institutional dimensions. A quantitative approach was used with a census method on 25 dairy farmers as respondents, using a structured questionnaire. The research results indicate that the majority of dairy farms fall into the "less sustainable" category, characterized by low availability of green fodder, barn capacity, number of livestock, income, education level, farming experience, group role, and low technology utilization. Leverage analysis identifies several sensitive attributes that most influence sustainability levels, namely agricultural waste utilization (ecological), number of livestock (economic), education and farming experience (social), group role (institutional), and mobile phone usage (technological). These findings highlight the need for comprehensive interventions in farmer capacity building, institutional strengthening, technology modernization, and improved feed and waste management to promote the sustainability of smallholder dairy farming at the village level.

Abstract

Secara global, angka kematian ibu diperkirakan mencapai 189 per 100.000 kelahiran hidup, dan sekitar 75% dari kematian ini disebabkan oleh komplikasi kehamilan seperti perdarahan berat, infeksi, serta gangguan hipertensi, termasuk preeklamsia dan eklampsia. Kondisi tersebut tidak hanya terjadi selama kehamilan, tetapi juga dapat muncul setelah persalinan, yang dikenal sebagai preeklamsia postpartum, dengan angka kejadian yang bervariasi antara 0,3% hingga 27,5%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi faktor-faktor risiko yang berperan dalam kejadian preeklamsia postpartum pada ibu yang melahirkan di RSUD Prof. Dr. W. Z. Johanes Kupang selama tahun 2023. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan desain case-control retrospektif, melibatkan 84 ibu nifas yang dibagi ke dalam kelompok kasus dan kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui telaah rekam medis, lalu dianalisis dengan uji chi-square dan perhitungan odds ratio (OR). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa usia ibu di atas 35 tahun memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan kejadian preeklamsia postpartum (p = 0,015; OR = 3,03; CI 95% = 1,225–7,474). Selain itu, riwayat preeklamsia dan hipertensi kronik juga menunjukkan hubungan yang sangat signifikan (p < 0,001). Sementara itu, paritas tidak terbukti memiliki hubungan yang bermakna (p = 0,439). Faktor-faktor seperti usia maternal lanjut, riwayat preeklamsia, hipertensi kronik, serta obesitas sebelum kehamilan merupakan faktor risiko penting terhadap preeklamsia postpartum. Oleh karena itu, deteksi dini dan pemantauan intensif pada ibu dengan risiko tinggi sangat dianjurkan untuk menekan angka kesakitan dan kematian ibu.

Abstract

Sepsis is a major problem causing high morbidity and mortality in patients who hospitalized in intensive care. In sepsis, there is a change in the distribution of albumin in the intravascular and extravascular compartment, so hipoalbumin is occured. Using albumin in septic patients from several studies that have been done are still controversial. Analyzing albumin infusion with changes in levels of albumin, cytokines and SOFA score in septic patients in intensive care dr. Soetomo. The design of this study is a prospective longitudinal observational. The study was conducted in the intensive care unit or ICU dr. Soetomo in February 2015. The inclusion and exclusion criteria were determined that obtained 15 research subjects. They were examined with serum albumin and proinflammatory cytokines as well as evaluating the SOFA score. Then, it measure with ANOVA test methods. Infusion of albumin positively correlated with increased levels of serum albumin and a negative correlation with the levels of IL6, TNF-a and SOFA score. It also found a correlation between changes in levels of albumin with changing levels of IL6 (p <0:01) and changes in SOFA score (p <0.05).

Abstract

In Indonesia, the Apis cerana honey supply chain faces structural challenges, including low producer digital literacy, limited market access, and dependence on intermediaries. The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of the Apis cerana honey distribution supply chain and to establish a digitalisation system that incorporates text notifications and e-commerce to increase farmers’ income. The research employed a survey methodology, utilising primary data collectedthrough questionnaires, interviews, and field observations of honey farmers in Kretek Village, Bondowoso. We calculatedthe marketing margins and the farmer’s share across three distribution channels to determine their efficiency. The results showed that the traditional channel (Channel I) had the highest marketing margin and the lowest farmer’s share. In contrast, the use of e-commerce (Channel III) increased the farmer’s share by more than 40% by eliminating twomarketing institutions: distributors and retailers. The push notification system was effective in accelerating the exchange of information between producers and consumers and encouraging repeat purchases from the same store. This studycontributes to the formulation of an effective and sustainable supply chain model for Apis cerana honey producers, aligned with SDG Target 8 concerning decent labour and economic growth.

Abstract

Postpartum depression (PPD) affects many aspects of a mother's life. Understanding the factors that contribute to this condition is crucial, as some factors may play a greater role than others. This study aimed to identify the prevalence of PPD, examine its associated factors, and determine the dominant factors related to the incidence of PPD in Badung Regency, Indonesia. This research employed a cross-sectional design conducted between May and July 2024. It involved 239 mothers who were 2 – 6 weeks postpartum. Participants were selected from seven public health centers in Badung Regency using two-stage cluster sampling. A questionnaire was used to assess several factors, including sociodemographic characteristics, obstetric history, baby characteristics, stressors during the postpartum period, husband’s support, and postpartum depression symptoms. These factors were analyzed using bivariate chi-square analysis and multivariate logistic regression. The prevalence of PPD in this study was 47.3%. Associated factors included maternal age, stressors related to personal needs and fatigue, infant nurturing, body changes and sexuality, and instrumental and emotional husband support. Among these, the most dominant factors were body changes and sexuality, personal needs, and fatigue, which increased the risk of PPD by approximately threefold. The prevalence of PPD in Badung Regency is higher than previously reported in other areas. This highlights the importance of PPD screening and educating husbands about the need to provide both instrumental and emotional support during the postpartum period. We recommend implementing early screening and husband involvement programs.

Abstract

This study examines the urgency of Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) in development projects to ensure safety and prevent traffic congestion on roads, particularly in new autonomous regions such as North Morowali Regency. As a newly established regency, North Morowali faces significant challenges in improving land transportation infrastructure, which is essential for development and economic growth. However, the pace of development must be integrated with the principles of sustainable development that balance development needs, economic growth, and environmental preservation, including the impact on land use. The method used is empirical juridical, which combines normative analysis (written and unwritten law/secondary data) regarding Andalalin regulations with primary data from the field to see how Andalalin is implemented in law enforcement regarding building construction. The results and discussion show that development, which encompasses material and human aspects, often creates a dilemma between economic growth and negative impacts on the environment and social inequality, requiring attention to issues of income distribution, poverty, and justice. In the context of transportation, any change in land use (such as the construction of office buildings, hotels, or other public facilities) has the potential to generate new traffic that disrupts the smooth flow and safety of traffic. Andalalin is a crucial instrument for predicting the traffic impact of regional development. It determines the necessary traffic engineering and infrastructure improvements (e.g., provision of sufficient parking space). It aligns land use decisions with traffic conditions, in line with the principles of sustainable development. Therefore, Andalalin is a strategic and fundamental requirement that must be strictly implemented in North Morowali to ensure that physical infrastructure development can support economic acceleration without compromising safety, traffic flow, and environmental quality.

Abstract

Tidak semua ibu hamil dapat menjalani persalinan secara spontan; dalam kondisi tertentu, diperlukan tindakan induksi atau persalinan melalui sectio caesaria. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor seperti usia, paritas, usia kehamilan, IMT, skor bishop dan taksiran berat janin. Penelitian ini secara tujuan untuk melaksanakan analisis hubungan antara usia ibu, usia kehamilan, indeks massa tubuh serta taksiran berat janin dengan keberhasilan induksi persalinan. Desain penelitian mempergunakan analitik observasional dengan pendekatan berupa case control study. Sampel penelitian sejumlah 76 responden dimana kelompok case 38 responden dan kelompok control 38 responden. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah usia, usia kehamilan, indeks massa tubuh, dan taksiran berat janin. Data dilaksanakan pengambilan retrospektif dari rekam medis pasien serta dilaksanakan analisis dengan mempergunakan uji statistik chi-square. Hasil penelitian memberi petunjuk bahwa proporsi induksi persalinan sebagian besar usia 20-35 tahun (73,74%), aterm (63,15%), IMT normal (46,05%) dan taksiran berat janin ≤3500 gr (92,10%). Hasil analisis statistik menunjukan bahwa faktor usia (p value: 0,018, OR: 4,304), usia kehamilan (p value: 0,004, OR: 5,471), IMT (p value: 0,005, OR: 4,208), dan taksiran berat janin (p value: 0,025, OR: ∞) memiliki hubungan dengan keberhasilan induksi persalinan (p0,05). Adanya hubungan antara usia ibu, usia kehamilan, IMT, serta taksiran berat janin dengan keberhasilan induksi persalinan di RSUD Waibakul Kabupaten Sumba Tengah.

Abstract

Abortus merupakan salah satu komplikasi kehamilan yang berkontribusi terhadap meningkatnya morbiditas dan mortalitas ibu, terutama di daerah dengan keterbatasan akses layanan kesehatan reproduksi seperti Kabupaten Sumba Tengah. Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Waibakul mencatat 68 kasus abortus pada tahun 2023, namun informasi mengenai faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan jenis abortus masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan jenis abortus pada ibu hamil yang dirawat di RSUD Waibakul. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 68 ibu hamil yang mengalami abortus dan dipilih dengan teknik total sampling. Data sekunder diperoleh dari rekam medis. Variabel bebas meliputi usia ibu, paritas, dan jarak kehamilan, sedangkan variabel terikat adalah jenis abortus. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji chi-square dengan tingkat signifikansi p 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara usia ibu (p = 0,014) dan jarak kehamilan (p = 0,004) dengan jenis abortus. Sementara itu, paritas tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan dengan jenis abortus (p = 0,479). Secara deskriptif, abortus inkomplit merupakan jenis abortus yang paling banyak ditemukan (61,8%), diikuti abortus iminens (38,2%). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa usia ibu dan jarak kehamilan berhubungan secara signifikan dengan jenis abortus. Namun, karena menggunakan desain cross-sectional, penelitian ini tidak dapat menjelaskan hubungan sebab-akibat. Diperlukan penguatan upaya deteksi dini, pemantauan kehamilan berisiko, serta strategi promotif dan preventif seperti edukasi kesehatan reproduksi dan skrining prakonsepsi untuk menurunkan kejadian abortus dan mendukung pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, khususnya target 3.1 dan 3.7.

Abstract

Interfaith marriages, which are widely practiced in society, will, in the long term, have a social and psychological impact on children born to these couples. In contrast, in terms of legal aspects, they certainly have legal consequences for children born to couples of different religions. The purpose of this study was to determine the legal implications of interfaith marriages for children born according to Islamic law. Methods This study uses a normative juridical method by reviewing various literature relevant to the studied theme. Data was collected through a literature study to find secondary legal materials pertinent to the prescriptive descriptive approach. The study results indicate that the legal consequences of interfaith marriages are invalid marriages, and children born are not permitted according to Islamic law. According to Islamic law, Interfaith marriages have legal implications for children who are born; namely, children are considered as children born out of wedlock. Children born out of wedlock only have a kinship relationship with their mother and their mother's family.

Abstract

The decision of the Supreme Court regarding the granting of wills to non-Muslim heirs is a breakthrough in relation to the inheritance of different religions. It is the consensus of scholars that religious differences (Muslims and non-Muslims) are one of the barrier factors for inheriting. With regard to religious differences, the mandatory will given by the Supreme Court is for non-Muslim siblings. The compulsory intention in KH1 is analogous to adopted children and adoptive parents. Religious differences are still barriers to inheriting each other by seeking a positive step by not limiting the understanding of inheritance law so far. This research method uses a normative juridical approach by reviewing various literature on granting wills to non-Muslim heirs. Data was collected through a literature study with relevant secondary legal materials sourced from statutory regulations, literature, both books, journal articles. Who are Muslim. It is the same with a Muslim who cannot inherit from a non-Muslim.
