Abstract

ABSTRAK: Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan, penulis menemukan permasalahan bahwa pembelajaran menulis teks berita di kelas XI SMK Pembaharuan Purworejo lebih banyak disajikan dalam bentuk teori-teori dan menggunakan metode ceramah, akibatnya siswa cenderung cepat bosan dengan materi yang diajarkan. Hal itu membuat siswa pasif dan kurang berminat dalam kegiatan menulis teks berita.  Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan ibu Pratiwi selaku guru bahasa Indonesia kelas XI, ditemukan permasalahan bahwa kemampuan menulis berita siswa yang masih rendah terbukti dengan hasil nilai menulis berita pada siswa kelas XI SMK Pembaharuan Purworejo masih belum mencapai nilai KKM, yakni 75. Hal itu disebabkan model pembelajaran yang diterapkan terbilang masih monoton sehingga siswa mengalami kesulitan untuk mempresentasikan apa yang mampu siswa lisankan kedalam bentuk tulisan.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsi (1) penerapan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks berita di kelas XI SMK Pembaharuan Purworejo, (2) peningkatan proses pembelajaran teks berita dengan menggunakan model Think Talk Write pada siswa kelas XI SMK Pembaharuan Purworejo, (3) peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks berita dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write pada siswa kelas XI SMK Pembaharuan Purworejo.Pengaruh belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita menjadi lebih baik dengan metode Think Talk Write, dilihat dari hasil pengamatan siklus I ke siklus II Pada aspek tanggung jawab siswa sebanyak 12 siswa atau 57,14% menjadi 17 siswa atau 80,95%. Aspek keaktifan siswa sebnayak 12 siswa atau 57,14% menjadi 15 siswa atau 71.42. Aspek perhatian siswa dalam proses pembelajaran sebanyak 11 siswa 52% menjadi 18 siswa atau 85.71. Peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks berita dapat dilihat dari hasil tes siswa pada prasiklus dengan rerata tes mencapai 62,9, siklus I meningkat menjadi 73,1, dan siklus II meningkat menjadi 80,0. Kata kunci: kemampuan menulis teks berita, dan tink talk write

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the simultaneous influence of incentives and work discipline on employee performance at PT BFI Finance Jayapura Branch. The hypothesis is that increasing incentives and work discipline will enhance employee performance. Research Design and Methodology: The research design uses a quantitative survey method. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 40 PT BFI Finance Jayapura Branch employees. Variables studied include incentives, work discipline, and employee performance. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to test the simultaneous effects of the independent variables on the dependent variable. Findings and Discussion: The findings indicate that incentives and work discipline significantly influence employee performance. The analysis shows that simultaneous incentives and work discipline increases contribute to improved employee performance. This study supports motivation theories such as Vroom's Expectancy Theory and Herzberg's Two-Factor Theory, emphasizing the importance of incentives and discipline in enhancing performance. Implications: The implications suggest that PT BFI Finance management should develop comprehensive incentive programs and effective work discipline strategies to boost employee performance. The study also recommends further research to explore the long-term effects of incentives and work discipline, considering additional variables such as leadership and organizational culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji bentuk cybermisogyny yang dialami oleh TikTokers perempuan melalui pendekatan etika komunikasi. Studi ini berdasarkan fenomena kebebasan berpendapat di media sosial yang sering kali disalahgunakan untuk ujaran kebencian, pelecehan seksual, penghinaan, dan diskriminasi berbasis gender, yang merugikan perempuan secara fisik maupun mental. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik observasi pasif dan analisis isi terhadap komentar, teks, gambar, dan video di TikTok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan berbagai bentuk cybermisogyny, seperti ujaran kebencian, penghinaan, body shaming, pelecehan seksual, dan penyebaran hoaks, yang dialami oleh beberapa TikTokers perempuan. Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya penerapan etika komunikasi dalam mencegah cybermisogyny dan menciptakan lingkungan digital yang inklusif dan aman. Kesimpulannya, perlunya edukasi literasi digital, kesadaran masyarakat, dan implementasi kebijakan hukum untuk melindungi hak perempuan di ruang digital.

Abstract

Kota Layak Anak merupakan suatu strategi pembangunan Kabupaten/Kota yang mengintegrasikan komitmen dan sumber daya pemerintah, dunia usaha, dan masyarakat yang terencana dan berkelanjutan dalam program kegiatan pemenuhan hak anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui system smart city Kota Medan Dalam Penguatan Brand Kota Layak Anak. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program pemerintah Kota Medan dalam menguatkan brand Kota Layak Anak di media sosial yaitu dengan melakukan berbagai kegiatan untuk memenuhi hak-hak anak, mulai dari kesehatan, pendidikan, perlindungan dan kebudayaan. Sementara itu dalam penguatan brand Kota Layak Anak terdapat beberapa dinas yang terkait dalam memenuhi 5 klaster hak anak. Klaster pertama yaitu hak sipil dan kebebasan oleh Dinas Kependudukan dan Catatan Sipil Kota Medan dengan program Akta Kelahiran, Klaster kedua yaitu hak lingungan keluarga dan pengasuhan alternatif oleh Dinas Pendidikan Kota Medan dengan program PAUD dan Layanan Unit Pelayanan Terpadu oleh Dinas Pemberdayaan dan Perlindungan Anak, Klaster ketiga yaitu hak Kesehatan dan kesejahteraan anak oleh Dinas Kesehatan Kota Medan dengan program Puskesmas Ramah Anak, Klaster keempat yaitu hak Pendidikan oleh Dinas Pendidikan dengan program Sekolah Ramah Anak dan Klaster kelima yaitu hak perlindungan khusus oleh Dinas Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak dengan program Unit Pelayanan Terpadu.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what the meaning of the sign of tolerance and Islamic values ??in the film "Ajari Aku Islam" is. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation using the semiotic approach of Charles Sanders Pierce. The author is interested in using this semiotic theory to deepen the working pattern of the triangle meaning described in the Triadic and Trichotomy analysis to answer the formulation of the problem in the research. Pierce's semiotics uses the term representamen as a form of initial sign, then object as a sign reference, and interpretant as meaning. The object of research is the film "Teach Me Islam". This research then produces the meanings of religious tolerance and Islamic values ??which are seen in the film "Ajari Aku Islam". The conclusions of this study include the meaning of religious tolerance which is shown through 4 principles, namely respecting the differences in the beliefs of others, giving freedom in choosing religion, understanding mutual understanding between religions and not looking at physical and psychological differences in socializing. The Islamic values ??in the film "Ajari Aku Islam" include; human relationship with God, human relationship with oneself, human relationship with fellow human beings.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Representation of the Semiotic Analysis of Moral Messages in the Iqro My Universe Film". The purpose of this study is to analyze the moral messages in the film "Iqro My Universe". The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method to explain the moral messages in the film. The research subject is the Iqro My Universe film with a duration of 231 minutes consisting of 80 scenes in total and 7 scenes as objects of analysis. The theory used to analyze this research is the Mass Communication Model, and Semiotic Analysis by Roland Barthes which consists of denotation, connotation, and myth. The results of this study found that in the Iqro My Universe film there are 7 scenes or scenes that contain moral messages. Some of the moral messages that are divided into sub-themes/scene scenes that the researcher chose include, among others; First, every effort we make will never betray the results. Second, the children's family where we come and return. Therefore, family is the most important aspect in our life. Third, don't ever judge someone just from their appearance. Because the eye can only see, feelings can be wrong and negative thinking is a bad attitude that must be eliminated. The film Iqro My Universe teaches us that weak social beings like us cannot be separated from two factors, namely fellow humans and God.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of sub-district communication in improving employee discipline and performance at the Medan Labuhan District Office using the path-goal theory of leadership by Robert House. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. This research activity was conducted at the Medan Labuhan District Office. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the role of communication carried out by the sub-district head in improving the effectiveness and discipline of employees' work is as a leader. The coding of messages carried out by a sub-district head is usually in the form of establishing regulations, ethics, penalties, and provisions in the office and the discursive leadership of the Medan Labuhan sub-district as a leader who supervises several employees who work in the organization he leads, the sub-district head in carrying out his duties and obligations. must be able to work in accordance with the group or employees in the agency.

Abstract

The purpose of this qualitative research is to find out: 1) how the moral messages contained in the short film Tilik, 2) whether the moral messages contained in the short film Tilik can build a bad image of Islam. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation. Sources of data from this study are divided into sources, namely primary data sources (Tilik film) and secondary data sources (internet, books, and related journals). The data were analyzed using Roland Barth's semiotic approach. Semiotics Roland Barthes uses the concept of denotation, connotation and myth as the meaning of the message. The research findings show that: 1) the moral messages in the short film Tilik are, the moral messages are visiting the sick, backbiting or gossiping, prejudice, criticizing, bribing, prohibiting slander, selfishness, helping, violating regulations, and spreading hoax news. 2) based on the moral message in this study, it was found that the Tilik film builds a bad image of Islam.

Abstract

Polemics related to the effectiveness of vaccinations are still happening today, this makes the community divided between two groups, namely the group who believes that vaccination can minimize cases of COVID-19 and the group who is afraid of the side effects caused by the vaccine due to the large amount of news circulating. among the public about the side effects of the covid-19 vaccine. The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions and decisions taken by the people of Denai Village, Medan Denai District, Medan City regarding circulating vaccination information. The theory used in this research is Collective Informative Sampling. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. This study found results that the public considered that vaccination was not a guarantee that a person would not be exposed to the corona virus, this was due to personal factors within them, namely the experiences they saw or felt both from the media and directly. People who are afraid of the side effects of vaccination prefer to use the services of making vaccine certificates without having to be vaccinated. Therefore, only 4 of the 11 interviewees had vaccinated, 5 of them preferred to use the service of making a vaccine certificate without having to be vaccinated, the other 3 were not willing to be vaccinated or to use the service of making the vaccine.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the communication strategy of public services at the Medan Marelan District Office. This research uses communication theory, communication strategy, public service, and S-O-R theory. This research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive research design, including data collection, production of oral and written data, and direct data collection from the research location. The main and secondary data sources consist of eight informants. Interviews, observations, and documentation were used for data collection, while the data analysis procedures included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Researchers used triangulation of data, procedures, and time to validate the data. Based on the research results, the public service communication strategy is based on the communicator, communication message, communication media, and the intended audience. The public's reaction to the services provided by the Medan Marelan Village shows that the Medan Marelan Village provides excellent and comprehensive service to the community as service recipients, but indeed there are still a few problems with the timeliness of completing services, this is due to network disturbances or when the lights go out. . However, only one or two of these were found, the rest of the service officers have been very maximal in providing public services.
