Abstract

The Al-Fajar Mataram Foundation, an integrated Islamic school that has levels from Kindergarten, Elementary, and Middle School, is facing problems in the process of loading student uniform data, which is still done manually. This process often causes delays, uncertainty, errors, and a lack of transparency for schools and parents regarding the status of uniform production. To overcome this, it is proposed to develop a "Web-Based Uniform Manufacturing Process Monitoring System" using the Prototype method. This method was chosen because it allows users to directly see and test the system from the early stages of development. This provides an opportunity for users to provide suggestions and input directly, which can then be used by developers to improve system features that they feel are lacking, bringing them into line with what is needed. With this system, data regarding the uniform-making process can be managed more easily, making it easier to send data to tailors and allowing parents to monitor the status of their child's uniform-making directly. The results of testing using the Mean Opinion Score indicated a high level of user acceptance, with a User Acceptance Test score of 87.8%. This suggests that the system is highly beneficial for users.

Abstract

Libraries are essential tools for supporting education and learning activities. However, libraries in some areas still use manual systems to manage book data and other services. East Lombok Regency is one such area that requires an updated library information system to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of its services. Observations at the East Lombok Regency Library and Archives Office revealed that library services are still conducted manually, with librarians using notebooks to record book borrowings. This manual system poses challenges in managing borrowed and returned books, especially as the East Lombok Library and Archives Office permit schools nationwide to borrow books. To address these issues, researchers employed the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method to design the information system. This method was chosen for its ability to shorten development time compared to traditional methods. The newly developed library information system aims to assist schools facing a shortage of books, particularly in remote village areas. The application of RAD successfully increased development efficiency and improved the system's effectiveness in meeting the library's operational needs. Furthermore, the system reduced dependence on manual processes, enhanced data accessibility, and simplified library data management. These improvements enable more optimal library services for the residents of East Lombok. This success is supported by the results of a questionnaire, with 80% of respondents agreeing that the system effectively meets their needs.

Abstract

Effective management is a crucial aspect in the operational dynamics of educational institutions. This research aims to develop a Website-Based Academic and Financial Management Information System for the An-Nawawi Al-Hakiimiy Foundation using the prototyping method. The system, developed using the Laravel framework, is designed to optimize various academic and financial management processes, including administration, student and teaching staff data management, attendance tracking, student evaluation and assessment, charity (infaq) recording, and financial management. Through the prototyping method, the system was developed incrementally by involving users in both the design and testing processes. The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) results demonstrated an average assessment score of 95.3%, indicating that the system is highly effective and ready for implementation. This research is expected to significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the foundation's operational management through the utilization of information technology.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan senyawa metabolit sekunder dan aktifitas antioksidan bunga doyo (Curculigo latifolia Lend.) dari Kota Tenggarong, Indonesia. Bunga doyo segar dikeringkan di bawah naungan selama 2 hari. Bunga kering diekstraksi dengan metanol selama 24 jam dengan metode maserasi. Filtrat dipekatkan menggunakan rotary evaporator. Senyawa metabolit sekunder dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan metode uji warna. Total senyawa fenolik dan flavonoid diuji menggunakan metode Folin-Ciocalteau dan aluminum klorida. Aktifitas antioksidan ekstrak diuji menggunakan uji penangkapan radikal DPPH. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak metanol bunga doyo mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, fenolik, tannin dan terpenoid. Total senyawa fenolik dan flavonoid adalah 134,06 ± 0,85 mg/g ekstrak dan 39,70 ± 1,41 mg/g ekstrak. Kemampuan penangkapan radikal DPPH ekstrak metanol bunga doyo mencapai 95,08 ± 0,00% pada konsentrasi 30,00 mg/mL. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa bunga doyo dapat dijadikan agen penangkap radikal bebas.

Abstract

Internationalization plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality and global recognition of Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia. This study investigates how these institutions implement internationalization by drawing insights from the experience of Monash University in Australia. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews and document analysis. The findings indicate that while Islamic higher education institutions have implemented key aspects of internationalization, there is still room for improvement. Institutions must continuously enhance educational quality while maintaining their unique identity to attract international students. Greater autonomy in financial and administrative management is necessary to align Islamic universities with other leading public institutions. Policy support from the government is essential in ensuring institutional autonomy and protecting human resource rights without excessive intervention. Seeking international accreditation through relevant accrediting bodies is also critical in strengthening global competitiveness. These findings highlight the need for strategic efforts by university leaders, government, and stakeholders to advance the internationalization agenda in Islamic higher education. Strengthening institutional autonomy, improving quality standards, and achieving international accreditation will contribute to greater global engagement and recognition of Islamic universities in Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the efforts of the independent curriculum in improving the quality of 21st century education, especially at the basic education level. Through the literature study method, this research analyzes the basic principles, implementation, and advantages of the independent curriculum in improving the abilities needed in the 21st century, strengthening character, and evaluating learning. The results of the study show that the independent curriculum is designed with flexibility to meet local and global needs, emphasizes project-based learning, and integrates the values ​​of the Pancasila student profile. Implementation of this curriculum provides opportunities for students to develop critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication competencies, while strengthening character through learning that is relevant to real life. Simplification of teaching materials and process-based evaluation allows students to learn more deeply, while teachers are given freedom in designing appropriate learning strategies. The advantages of the independent curriculum include an orientation towards holistic, adaptive and sustainable learning, so that it has the potential to improve the quality of basic education in Indonesia. It is hoped that this research will become a reference in understanding and optimizing the implementation of the independent curriculum, as well as making a significant contribution in realizing national education that is relevant to the challenges of the 21st century.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the intercultural communication barriers faced by Papuan ethnic students in their social interactions at Ichsan University Gorontalo. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method, with data analysis techniques employing the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings show that there are several intercultural communication barriers experienced by Papuan ethnic students in their social interactions within the environment of Ichsan University Gorontalo. These barriers include the assumption of similarity, which views all cultures as being the same and thus leads to misunderstandings; barriers caused by language differences during communication; barriers resulting from misinterpretation of non-verbal messages such as gestures, body language, and facial expressions; barriers caused by stereotypes and prejudices, especially those of a negative nature during interactions; barriers stemming from a tendency to make negative judgments; and barriers due to deep anxiety and apprehension before engaging in a communication process during interactions.

Abstract

Students show deficient understanding on fraction division and supporting that understanding remains a challenge for mathematics educators. This article aims to describe primary students’ understanding of partitive fraction division (PFD) and explore ways to support their understanding through the use of sequenced fractions and context-related graphical representations. In a design-research study, forty-four primary students were involved in three cycles of teaching experiments. Students’ works, transcript of recorded classroom discussion, and field notes were retrospectively analyzed to examine the hypothetical learning trajectories. There are three main findings drawn from the teaching experiments. Firstly, context of the tasks, the context-related graphical representations, and the sequence of fractions used do support students’ understanding of PFD. Secondly, the understanding of non-unit rate problems did not support the students’ understanding of unit rate problems. Lastly, the students were incapable of determining symbolic representations from unit rate problems and linking the problems to fraction division problems. The last two results imply to rethink unit rate as part of a partitive division with fractions. Drawing upon the findings, four alternative ways are offered to support students’ understanding of PFD, i.e., the lesson could be starting from partitive whole number division to develop the notion of fair-sharing, strengthening the concept of unit in fraction and partitioning, choosing specific contexts with more relation to the graphical representations, and sequencing the fractions used, from a simple to advanced form.

Abstract

Cognitive theory is classified as a theory that plays an important role in the development of educational theory, but there are still few educational practitioners who understand the concept of cognitive theory. At the beginning of the 15th century H , Muslim scientists strengthened the spirit to return to Islamic teachings based on the Al-Quran and Hadith. So it is not impossible if modern learning theories exist in the Qur'an and Hadith, or at least find their equivalent. So that western concepts can be juxtaposed with concepts based on the Qur'an and Hadith . The purpose of this study is to dissect the actual concept of cognitive learning theory in the perspective of Islamic education . The method used is library research , namely library research by collecting literature that talks about cognitive learning theory and Islamic education. The result of the research is that the cognitive theory of Islamic education perspective focuses on the ability to think, should pay attention to the physical and psychological development of students, focus their attention on the process of transmitting knowledge and educators play a very important role in the cognitive growth of students.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang diintegrasikan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Searching Information, Communication, and Information (SICOMO) merupakan pengajaran yang masih belum banyak dilakukan oleh pengajar di dalam kelas. Dalam penelitian ini berusaha untuk memberikan gambaran terkait hasil dari model pembelajaran yang dilakukan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent (pretest-posttest) control group design. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Yuppentek 1 Kota Tangerang dengan seluruh kelas XI sebagai populasi. Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas XI 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas XI 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pada kelas kontrol model pembelajaran yang diterapkan adalah Project Based Learning (PjBL), sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen pembelajaran berdiferensiasi terintegrasi model SICOMO. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi sebagai studi pendahuluan, tes soal uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi sains tulisan. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan SPSS 25 menggunakan Uji T Sample Independent. Pada hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai uji > dari 0,05 dengan hasil pada uji kemampuan komunikasi tulisan sebesar 0,01 sehingga H0 ditolak, H1 diterima, dengan demikian terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi sains siswa yang diajar melalui pembelajaran berdiferensiasi terintegrasi model SICOMO.
