Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic educational values in Surah Luqman verses 12–19 among millennial Muslim families in Kasihan District and to identify the challenges faced in the internalization process. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations with six families. The findings indicate that the values of aqidah, morality, and worship are implemented through prayer routines, respect toward parents, communal prayer, and explanations of worship meanings. However, families face challenges such as technological influence, shifting communication patterns between parents and children, and limited religious knowledge. These factors affect the consistency of Islamic value habituation in daily life. The study concludes that while the values of Surah Luqman have been applied positively, optimal implementation requires strengthened religious literacy, proper technology management, and broader community support.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the process of Islamic acculturation with local culture in the Indonesian archipelago through a case study of the Begawi Adat Pepadun tradition in Lampung. The research is grounded in the understanding that local traditions in Indonesia are often perceived as contradictory to Islamic teachings, whereas, historically, both have coexisted and interacted dynamically. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods, reviewing academic sources such as books, journal articles, and cultural documents. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify Islamic values integrated within the Begawi customary system. The results reveal that Begawi Adat represents a harmonious form of acculturation between Islam and local culture. Islamic values such as monotheism (tawhid), brotherhood (ukhuwah), deliberation (syura), moderation (wasathiyyah), and noble character (akhlaq al-karimah) are embedded in various stages of the ceremony, encompassing spiritual, social, moral, and aesthetic dimensions. The tradition serves not merely as a cultural event but as a medium for the internalization of Islamic teachings within the community. In conclusion, Begawi Adat Pepadun embodies the essence of Islam Nusantara peaceful, adaptive, and contextual while standing as a religious and cultural heritage that strengthens Islamic identity and preserves local wisdom in the modern era.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education is an important aspect of the education system. Some Islamic Religious Education teachers are not yet familiar with software that can be used in the teaching and learning process. The learning process still uses conventional learning methods. Therefore, research needs to be conducted to identify software that can be used as an alternative. One software that can be used is Powtoon. Powtoon software can be developed in the form of animated videos containing Islamic Religious Education learning materials. This research uses a 3D model, which consists of the Define, Design, and Development stages. The subjects used in this study were Islamic Religious Education teachers and 5th grade elementary school students. The results showed that the material expert assessment was 94% in the very feasible category. Meanwhile, the media expert assessment showed a score of 81.4% in the very feasible category, and the peer review test showed a score of 91.8% in the very feasible category as well. This shows that the use of Powtoon software can be an alternative for teachers in developing learning media that is interesting for students. In addition, it can help students overcome boredom in learning. The conclusion of this study is that Powtoon software can be utilized by teachers and students in PAI learning.

Abstract

This study explores the role of interfaith experiential learning in fostering tolerant character among students at SMA and Pesantren Bumi Cendekia Yogyakarta through the Peace Tour program. This qualitative research employs a phenomenological approach to uncover the lived experiences and religious reflections of students and teachers engaged in the Peace Tour program. The study involved three participants: one teacher and two students who directly participated in the activities. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The findings show that Peace Tour serves as a transformative educational practice that integrates cognitive, affective, and spiritual dimensions through direct interaction with religious others. Students experienced a shift from initial discomfort to deeper understanding and appreciation of diversity, fostering inclusive attitudes and reinterpretations of Islamic values in the context of pluralism. The program’s integration into the school’s co-curricular activities and reflective discussions within the pesantren further reinforced Islamic values of rahmatan lil ‘alamin. This study concludes that interfaith experiential learning can serve as a pedagogical tool to instill tolerance and moderate character, as well as offer a best-practice model for Islamic educational institutions in multicultural societies. These findings imply that the Peace Tour program can be replicated and adapted by educational institutions and policymakers as an experiential learning strategy to foster tolerance and strengthen religious moderation among students.

Abstract

The concept of munasabah offers a holistic approach to understanding the values contained in Islamic education. The aim of this research is to analyze the conception of the munasabah of the Qur'an as a method of transforming the values of Islamic education using library methods. The results of the research show that the munasabah of the Qur'an is a strategic approach in transforming the values of Islamic education which are always relevant to the times. Through the relationship between verses, the concepts of monotheism, morals and worship can be systematically integrated into the Islamic education curriculum. This approach educates students not only intellectually, but also with strong Islamic character, so that they are able to implement the values contained in the Qur’an in their daily lives. Thus, the munasabah of the Qur'an makes Islamic education more holistic and applicable in forming a generation that has faith, has noble character, and contributes to society
