Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya pendidik melakukan refleksi diri setelah pembelajaran sehingga pola yang sama terulang terus menerus, walaupun datar bahkan memiliki motivasi untuk mengikuti pembelajaran, seperti pembelajaran agama pada mata kuliah PAI. Sejalan dengan itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan refleksi diri seorang pendidik yang tercantum dalam Kurikulum Belajar Mandiri dan memperkenalkan pembelajaran diferensiasi yang memberikan pola berbeda yang bermaksud memberikan perlakuan yang sesuai dengan potensi siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan. menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data dan mempelajari sumber literatur. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah lebih memperhatikan dunia pendidikan dengan mengubah kurikulum yaitu kurikulum belajar mandiri,Kata Kunci: Refleksi Diri, Pembelajaran Diferensiasi, kurikulum pembelajaran Mandiri.

Abstract

The principal's leadership is key in achieving the school's vision, mission, and goals through well-planned and gradual programs. This study examines the principal's role in shaping student discipline at Bina Siswa Private Middle School. The research method used is a case study approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results: the principal plays a crucial role in shaping student discipline by establishing and enforcing rules that promote positive behaviour and prevent negative actions, creating a conducive learning environment. As a leader, the principal sets an example by being punctual and organising programs to improve student behaviour, such as extracurricular activities and character-building initiatives. As a supervisor, the principal conducts classroom observations and home visits to ensure consistent discipline and monitor student development. Internal and external factors influence student discipline, including family, school, and the community. Although discipline fosters a productive environment, excessive strictness may cause stress, requiring a personalized educational approach. In conclusion, the principal's leadership is vital in shaping the discipline character at school.

Abstract

Although many studies have examined school leadership, few have specifically explored the implementation of leadership in private vocational high schools, particularly regarding performance improvement strategies and their relation to teacher development and educational quality. This study analyzes the principal's leadership in improving school quality through performance enhancement. A qualitative case study method was employed, using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, and validated through source triangulation. The results show that the principal of PAB 8 Sampali Private Vocational High School plays a strategic role as a leader, manager, and motivator in enhancing educational quality. He effectively manages resources, implements innovations such as the “Work, Study, Entrepreneurship” program, motivates teachers, and fosters collaboration to create a conducive learning environment. Despite challenges such as policy changes and diverse student characteristics, these were addressed through teacher training and strategic adjustments. His leadership has had a significant positive impact, as evidenced by the school’s accreditation improvement from grade C to A, increased student enrollment, and enhanced achievements. Implementing the Eight National Education Standards has strengthened school quality and fulfilled stakeholder expectations. Conclusion: The principal’s leadership effectively improves educational quality through innovation, sound management, and the ability to adapt to various challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how education policy is implemented and its impact on improving the quality of learning at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Medan. The policy implementation is conducted through a mutual agreement between the school, school community, and parents, with the main objective of improving the quality of the learning process and producing excellent graduates. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection methods in the form of observation, interviews, and document review. The results showed that there were policy innovations compared to the previous school year, such as the application of the Deep Learning approach in learning, new provisions for teachers regarding the use of school attributes, and the enforcement of time discipline by changing the entry deadline from 07.30 to 07.10. These policies were designed and implemented based on the results of an agreement between internal and external parties of the school.

Abstract

This study aims to describe student management within the Semester Credit System (SKS) program as a strategy to enhance the quality of education, particularly in the academic aspect, at MTsN 2 Medan. The SKS program is designed to provide educational services tailored to each student's interests, talents, abilities, and learning pace. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the implementation of student management in the SKS program at MTsN 2 Medan involves several stages: planning, organizing, implementation, supervision, and evaluation. These stages actively involve the principal, vice principal, program coordinator, teachers, and students. The program has been proven to improve students' academic performance. Its success is largely influenced by the effective and efficient application of student management practices. Therefore, the SKS program serves as a strategic alternative for improving the quality of education and achieving academic goals. The results of this study contribute significantly to the field of education and can serve as a reference for policy development and educational practice aimed at enhancing the quality and academic achievement of students.

Abstract

This study aims to answer the problems of the eight hypotheses proposed, namely: 1) The effect of leadership on lecturer performance, 2) The effect of leadership and interpersonal communication on lecturer performance, 3) The effect of interpersonal communication on lecturer performance, 4) Effect of leadership on team effectiveness, 5) Effect of interpersonal communication on team effectiveness, 6) Effect of team effectiveness on lecturer performance, 7) The effect of leadership, interpersonal communication, and team effectiveness on lecturer performance, and 8) The role of team effectiveness mediates the influence between leadership and interpersonal communication on lecturer performance. The population of this study were all lecturers of Al Washliyah University UNIVA Medan as many as 210 people with a total sample of 136 taken by proportional random sampling technique based on the Krejcle and Morgan Tables which were processed using SPSS and analysed by Path Analysis. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The results of the analysis show that leadership has a significant direct effect on the performance of UNIVA Medan lecturers by 0.465. 2) Leadership and interpersonal communication have a significant direct effect on the performance of UNIVA Medan lecturers by 0.371. 3) Interpersonal communication of lecturers has a significant direct effect on the performance of UNIVA Medan lecturers by 0.675. 4) Leadership has a significant direct effect on team effectiveness at UNIVA Medan by 0.437. 5) Interpersonal communication has a significant direct effect on team effectiveness at UNIVA Medan by 0.594. 6) Team effectiveness has a significant direct effect on the performance of UNIVA Medan lecturers by 0.808. 7) Team effectiveness mediates the influence between leadership and interpersonal communication on the performance of UNIVA Medan lecturers by 0.373. 8) Leadership, interpersonal communication and team effectiveness together on the performance of UNIVA Medan lecturers by 73.7% while the rest comes from the influence of other variables outside the variables used in this study.

Abstract

The quality of education in madrasah ibtidaiyah is a critical concern, as it depends heavily on teacher competence, leadership, and institutional management. This study examines the concept of educational quality, teacher development planning, leadership in quality improvement, and models of teacher quality enhancement in madrasah ibtidaiyah. Employing a qualitative approach with a multisite design, the research was conducted at MIN 9 Medan and MIN 12 Medan. Data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed both within and across sites. The findings indicate that educational quality is shaped by the synergy of effective learning, Islamic character formation, visionary leadership, participatory management, and teacher professionalism. Teacher development planning is carried out in short, medium, and long-term stages through needs assessment, competency programs, supervision, learning communities, partnerships, recognition, and continuous monitoring-evaluation. Leadership is transformational and participatory, fostering a culture of self-directed professional growth. The proposed teacher development model is systematic and sustainable, integrating training, supervision, collaboration, and character building. This study highlights the need for synergy among leadership, management, and professionalism to strengthen the quality of madrasah ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This research seeks to find out how the implementation of independent learning on an independent campus is implemented by Syaif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with the data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation, with primary data sources coming from the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Chairperson of Quality Assurance Agency, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs Faculty of Sharia and Law and Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs Faculty of Science and Technology. Data analysis uses a flow of activities, namely reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The study found that ‘Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka’ implementation at UIN Jakarta faces challenges in curriculum alignment and partner engagement, but also presents opportunities for enhanced student autonomy. In addition, this research can provide added value to partner institutions, especially Universitas Islam Negeri in Indonesia, by providing in-depth analyses of the best way to combine national policies with local and religious needs at Universitas Islam Negeri.

Abstract

This article was written in order to construct the concept of education financing models. The type of writing in the article is qualitative research using library research with content analysis method as a data analysis tool. The description of the results of this article is that the ideal financing model in an area really depends on various conditions. It may be by choosing one or by combining two or more of the existing models. For Indonesia's condition, the financing model cannot be separated from central government subsidies, even though there is authority as mandated by the Regional Autonomy Law.

Abstract

Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler adalah kegiatan yang dilakukan di luar jam pelajaran dan bertujuan untuk memperluas pengetahuan dan kemampuan peserta didik. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler memungkinkan siswa yang memiliki minat dan bakat untuk menunjukkan potensi mereka dan meningkatkan prestasi mereka. Siswa tidak hanya mendapat manfaat dari prestasi akademik mereka; mereka juga dapat memperoleh manfaat dari kemampuan mereka untuk berinteraksi dan bersosialisasi dengan orang lain. Prestasi di bidang non akademik dapat dicapai dengan manajemen eksrakurikuler yang baik. SMA Negeri satu Aek Natas memiliki banyak siswa yang berprestasi non akademik. Studi ini menggunakan metodologi deskriptif kualitatif. Wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, untuk meningkatkan prestasi non akademik siswa di SMA Negeri satu Aek Natas, manajemen kegiatan ekstrakurikuler harus dilakukan dengan cara berikut : Perencanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dibuat pada awal tahun ajaran. Kedua, kegiatan dilaksanakan setiap hari sesuai dengan jadwal yang telah ditetapkan; dan ketiga, evaluasi dilakukan dengan kehadiran guru pembina dan siswa. Setelah penerapan manajemen kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, prestasi non-akademik siswa telah meningkat dan terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. SMA Negeri satu Aek Natas dapat mencapai prestasi di tingkat kabupaten dan provinsi dengan manajemen ekstrakurikuler yang baik karena proses pendidikannya berjalan dengan baik dan lancar.
