Abstract

Pringgasela Village possesses abundant agricultural potential, particularly in pineapples and cassava crops. However, the utilization of these agricultural products remains limited due to a lack of processing innovation, access to modern technology, and effective marketing strategies. The Community Empowerment Field Study Program (KKN-PMD) of Universitas Mataram 2024-2025 aims to enhance the added value of these agricultural products through product innovation and the digitalization of marketing based on the creative economy. The innovations implemented include processing pineapples into syrup and jam, as well as transforming cassava leaves into chips. In addition, the program encompasses community outreach and digital marketing training to broaden the market reach of local products. The methods employed consist of observation, interviews, product development, and digital marketing training using the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach. The results indicate that product innovation and digital marketing strategies have a positive impact on increasing community understanding of product processing and technology-based marketing. With this program, it is expected that the community will become more self-reliant in developing businesses based on local potential, thereby enhancing the village’s economic welfare.

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) refers to a conscious effort by individuals to adopt healthy habits in their personal lives, within their families, and in the broader community. PHBS aims to prevent health problems through simple yet effective daily practices. The role of parents, the environment, and teachers is crucial in shaping students' behavior, especially during childhood. However, many elementary school students still lack sufficient knowledge about the importance of clean and healthy living habits. Therefore, educational initiatives are necessary to instill these positive behaviors from an early age. The session was carried out in an educational and interactive manner, incorporating direct practice, games, and quizzes. The PHBS education program took place at SDN 18 Bukit Kecil, Pesisir Selatan Regency, involving 30 student participants. The activity had a clear positive impact on students' knowledge and behavior regarding clean and healthy living practices. The success of the program was supported by strong collaboration between the community service team and the school. It is hoped that similar initiatives will continue to be implemented on a regular basis to cultivate a culture of clean and healthy living from an early age.

Abstract

The financial literacy program is a strategic step in building a generation of the ummah that is integral, productive, and based on Islamic values by developing a sharia financial literacy program for students. The lack of public interest in Islamic economics is one of the reasons why there is a need to enhance Islamic economic literacy. With the implementation of community service conducted by Muhammadiyah University in the Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan course at Unismuh Makassar Junior High School, the aim is to provide education, inspire, and guide in enhancing the community's understanding of sharia economics. This research shows that students who participate in this program will have a better understanding of the basic concepts of sharia finance and will be more capable of applying them to their personal financial management. This program not only makes students more knowledgeable about finance but also makes them aware that they can help build a sustainable community economy.

Abstract

Scabies is a contagious skin infection caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei, characterized by intense itching and the appearance of a rash. It most commonly affects children and the elderly, with prevalence among children ranging from 5% to 50%. Scabies spreads easily through both direct and indirect contact. Practicing Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (CHLB) is essential in preventing transmission. Health education through outreach programs plays a crucial role in increasing public knowledge and awareness about disease prevention. The Faculty of Medicine at Baiturrahmah University conducted a community service activity as part of the Medical Baiturrahmah Social in Action (MBSA) event, which included education on scabies transmission prevention and the importance of CHLB to help curb the spread of the disease and raise awareness about the importance of hygiene. This activity is expected to reduce the incidence of scabies and inspire the community to incorporate CHLB into their daily.

Abstract

The rising Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) remain significant challenges in reproductive health, particularly in areas with limited access such as Puskesmas Kelua. This study aims to analyze the implementation of comprehensive midwifery care based on Continuity of Care (COC) in efforts to reduce MMR and IMR. The research employs a qualitative case study method with a focus on analyzing documentation of midwifery care provided to a pregnant woman. Data collection encompasses all stages of service, including antenatal care, labor, newborn care, postpartum, and family planning. The findings indicate that the implementation of the COC concept successfully enhances early detection of risks and management of maternal-neonatal complications. The discussion elaborates on the alignment between clinical practice and theory, including challenges in applying service standards. Interventions such as close monitoring during labor and continuous health education have proven effective in preventing postpartum hemorrhage and neonatal complications. The study concludes that the COC model is an effective strategy for improving the quality of maternal and child health services. Recommendations include expanding training for healthcare providers and strengthening referral systems to optimize COC implementation at the primary healthcare level.
