Abstract

The background to this research is that the book 'Uqūd al-Lujain by Syaikh Nawawi al-Bantani has invited debate and is considered irrelevant in the millennial era. This research explores the aspects of human rights in the book. It is qualitative research uses normative legal approach or library research with contect analysis which aims to understand human rights in ‘Uqūd al-Lujain profoundly. The results reveal that the description of the relationship between a husband and wife in ‘Uqūd al-Lujain by Sheikh Nawawi al-Bantani is a relationship that firmly emphasizes the importance of knowing the rights and obligations between husband and wife in the view of religious texts, includes several stories and quotes some opinions of the scholars. Among the most important standards of general freedom are correspondence or equality and non-segregation or non-discrimination. Regarding couples, 'Uqūd al-Lujain has received many claims because it is considered to provide an inaccurate understanding of human rights standards, especially towards women. However, basically Sheikh Nawawi's focus is to understand the etiquette of husband and wife according to his reading of religious texts based on the Qur’an and hadith. This is because his inclination towards aspects of Sufism is very strong. Thoughts that can be categorized as traditional and Sufistic have colored the writing of this book, and of course this was in accordance with the spirit of the times (zeitgeist) of that time.

Abstract

As science and technology develop, so does a nation's economy, and so does the way in which Shari'ah is implemented for Muslims, including in the case of waqf. Previously, waqf was limited to the use of permanent objects such as land, buildings and so on, so now waqf is being introduced in the form of money. This situation is certainly a new breakthrough, which often gives rise to resistance among fiqh scholars. The aim of this research is to find out about the law of cash waqf from the perspective of four schools of thought according to the book of Islamic jurisprudence wa adillatuhu with the hope that it will provide more complete information about the law of cash waqf and bring peace to Muslims. The research method used is qualitative. This research approach uses descriptive analysis of primary data, namely the book of Islamic jurisprudence wa adillatuhu written by Syeh Wahbah Az-Zuhaili. The findings of this research conclude that waqf in the form of money is legal because waqf in the form of dinars and dirhams is permissible. Cash waqf is permissible because there are verses and hadiths that strengthen cash waqf. Moreover, with the increasing pace of civilisation, cash waqf is very easy to distribute, such as through bank transfers in remote areas. Most ulama in the millennial era agree that cash waqf is permissible and legal, provided the procedures are understood.

Abstract

Abstract: The article describes social hegemony and political domination of local people identity in Jambi. As elsewhere in Indonesia, Jambi is composed of locals and migrants. There is apparent hegemonic contestation between locals and migrants in Jambi. Migrants seems well-fit in Jambi and play significant role in urban context. In contrast, with exception of people of Kerinci and Malayu Jambi, locals seems to be marginalized especially people from Anak Dalam tribe who still hold on their primordial tradition. In political realm, locality and primordial sentiments still play major role during regional political election. The structure and use of politics of identity in Jambi is manifested by the occurrence of conflict of interest and sectoral ego which employs three main power instruments; bureaucracy, religion ad law.

Abstract

The implementation of the Electronic-Based Government System (EGO) in Indonesia is a critical step to improve the efficiency and quality of public services. The regulations underlying the implementation of EGO, such as Presidential Regulation No. 95 of 2018 concerning the Electronic-Based Government System, aim to encourage digital transformation in government bureaucracy. However, even though these regulations already exist, challenges in their implementation still arise, both in terms of infrastructure, human resources, and system integration between government agencies. This study aims to analyze the development of regulations that support the implementation of EGO and evaluate their implementation in the context of improving the quality of public services in Indonesia. By understanding the challenges and potential of EGO, it is expected that more effective policies can be created to accelerate digital transformation and increase government transparency and accountability in serving the public.

This study aims to assess the success rate of implementing floating rice cultivation technology on peat swamp land in East Kalimantan. The method used is participatory action research with the community in one of the villages in East Kalimantan, namely Minta Village, Penyinggahan District, West Kutai Regency. Floating rice was applied using a 1.5 x 6 m bamboo raft with a total of 40 rafts. The rice varieties used were SR (Sri Republik) Super Genjah 75 HST rice. The results of the study showed that the plant height reached 90 cm, with 32 tillers, and 32 floating rice panicles. The average grain yield was 30 grams/clump or equivalent to 5 tons/ha assuming land use efficiency of 80%. The obstacles in floating rice cultivation in peat swamp land are the presence of pests in the form of sundep in the growth phase and sparrows in the rice grain production phase. In an effort to accelerate the adoption of floating cultivation technology, intensive socialization and education are needed. Keywords: Agricultural production, Cultivation technology, Floating rice, Innovation technology, Peat swamp land.
