Abstract

Education needs to adapt to the times to remain relevant to the needs of students. One of the important components that must be considered is the teaching materials, including those in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This research aims to formulate a strategy for revitalizing Islamic Education (PAI) learning in the D phase through optimizing textbooks that are more comprehensive, integrative, and effective in achieving learning outcomes (CP). Using a qualitative approach based on content analysis and literature review, this study identifies inconsistencies between the CP in the Kepka BSKAP and the Learning Objectives (TP) listed in the textbook. For example, the material on rukhsah only reflects the views of one specific school of thought, whereas CP aimsfor a broader understanding of the four major schools of thought. This finding confirms the need for developing more holistic materials to reflect the flexibility of Islamic law. Additionally, the learning models in the textbook are relevant to the psychological characteristics of 12–15-year-old students based on Piaget's theory of development. This research provides contributions in the form of strategic recommendations, including expanding the scope of teaching materials, integrating intersectional perspectives, and strengthening the connection with students' real-life experiences. The limitation of this research lies in the scope of the location and the limited sample size. Therefore, further research with a more comprehensive approach is needed to support the implementation of more effective and transformative fiqh learning

Abstract

This study explores the experience of an Islamic education teacher in implementing differentiated assessments and analyzes their impact on students’ critical thinking development. A qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method was used to collect data through an in-depth interview with a PAI teacher at SMAN 7 Bandung, which was supported by relevant literature. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, display, and drawing conclusions. The results demonstrate that differentiated assessments provide students with opportunities to express their understanding in creative and reflective ways. This approach also promotes the development of Ennis’s five critical thinking indicators: clarification, basic support, inference, advanced argumentation, and self-regulation. The study concludes that differentiated assessment significantly enhances students’ critical thinking skills in Islamic religious education.

Abstract

Homework is one way to improve students' learning achievements outside of extracurricular activities. Unfortunately, current phenomena show that homework is thought to have negative impacts such as academic fatigue or academic procrastination. This study aims to describe the quality of homework management for students in public high schools. The research approach uses a quantitative descriptive cross-sectional design. The data was shared in the form of a closed questionnaire and collected with a total sample of 646 students from a total population of 31,397 students. The location of this study was in one of the cities in Indonesia. The results of this study reveal that homework management is one aspect that needs attention in the Islamic Religious Education (IRE)  subject. This aspect observes how well students manage their homework. The five main aspects include environment, time, motivation, emotion, and distraction. The results of the study found that the average level of student homework management is generally in the high category. In particular, the aspect that has the highest positive response in this study is the aspect of environmental management with an average indicator percentage of 92.80%. This aspect is followed by the aspects of emotion management (89.79%), motivation (87.70%), time (79.84%), and distraction (45.53%). This study shows that every aspect of homework management still needs improvement, especially the aspect of distraction. Based on the findings of this study, students tend to be easily distracted when doing their homework.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in the 21st century has encouraged innovation in learning strategies that are more engaging and focused on active student participation. This study aims to design and develop an interactive learning medium in the form of a digital pop-up book focused on the subject of Natural Sciences (IPA) for fifth-grade elementary school students, with the main topic being the water cycle. The development of the medium was based on the ADDIE instructional design model, which includes five stages: needs analysis, concept design, product development, classroom implementation, and evaluation of the medium's effectiveness and practicality. The digital pop-up book was created using Microsoft PowerPoint software by combining various three-dimensional visual elements, dynamic animations, voice narration, and interactive features that facilitate students' understanding of concepts. Validation results from experts showed a very high level of feasibility, namely 88% from subject matter experts and 93.3% from media experts. Meanwhile, the practicality test results by teachers and students each scored 95% and 93%, indicating that this media is very easy to use in daily learning. In addition to feasibility and practicality, the effectiveness of the media was also tested through a comparison of scores before and after using the media, showing a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. The average N-Gain score reached 79.06%, which falls into the high or effective category. Based on these results, this digital pop-up book can be concluded as a learning medium that is not only feasible and practical but also capable of having a positive impact on enhancing students' conceptual understanding and learning interest in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the lack of research on value-based leadership. The purpose of this study was to analyze symbols in the form of language, gestures, speech, and signs by examining their meaning in depth. This study used a qualitative approach and a case study research method. The data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, observation, and document study to understand the symbols conveyed. The results of the study at SDN Cicenang 1, Cigasong Subdistrict, Majalengka Regency, indicate that the symbols conveyed by the school principal and teachers are the values of family, cooperation, democracy, and vision. These are the messages intended to be conveyed for character development among students at the elementary school level. Symbolism serves as a direct instrument, thereby becoming a role model for those around them.

This study aims to analyze the contribution of religiosity and maturity in helping to deal with the Quarter-Life Crisis in the millennial generation. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data collection is done by literature study, then data analysis using the content analysis method. The results showed that religiosity and religious maturity can help millennials in dealing with the Quarter-Life Crisis. The form of contribution is in the form of providing a moral foundation, inner strength, peace of mind, positive attitude, and self-acceptance, as well as improving psychological well-being. Individuals with high levels of religiosity and religious maturity tend to be better able to overcome Quarter-Life Crisis because they have more ability to control their emotions. These findings provide insight into the potential role of religious values in providing mental resilience for the millennial generation in facing the challenges of early adult life transition. The practical implications of this research include the need for the development of coaching programs that integrate religious aspects to help individuals manage their journey to adulthood.

This research employed a descriptive quantitative method with a correlation design. The research instrument was in the form of a questionnaire, with data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics and inference statistics. The results uncovered that students' religious experiences at school exerted a significant influence both on students' religious awareness, with a correlation value of 0.658 and on students' social concern, with a correlation value of 0.590. Students' religious experience at school had an influence of 43.29% on students' religious awareness and 34.8% on students' social concerns.
