Abstract

Social and economic inequality is a global issue that has a significant impact on many aspects of life, including health, education and economic stability. This research aims to review the literature on policies and interventions implemented around the world to address this inequality. The literature review shows that inequality is often caused by unfair economic policies, unequal income distribution, and limited access to fundamental services such as education and health. In addition, neoliberal policies and the effects of globalisation have exacerbated economic inequality between developed and developing countries. Various strategies have been implemented to reduce inequality, such as income redistribution through progressive taxation, social assistance programmes, and improved access to education and health services. The findings of this study emphasise the importance of a multidimensional approach and cross-sectoral cooperation in designing and implementing effective policies to reduce social and economic inequality globally.

Abstract

The green economy has become an increasingly important global issue in the last decade, with the private sector playing an increasingly significant role. This research aims to examine the impact of private sector participation in the green economy on business sustainability. Through a literature review, this study analyses how green practices adopted by companies can benefit operational sustainability, reputation, resilience, innovation, and the development of a sustainable business ecosystem. The results show that private sector participation in the green economy can improve operational efficiency, strengthen corporate reputation and attractiveness, and encourage innovation and development of more environmentally friendly products. In addition, collaboration with other stakeholders can also shape a more sustainable business ecosystem. Thus, private sector involvement in the green economy not only has a positive impact on the environment, but can also support business sustainability in the long run.

Abstract

This study discusses the strategic role of the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors as the backbone of the economy in border areas through a comprehensive literature analysis. These sectors make a major contribution to sustaining regional economic growth by providing employment, strengthening food security, supporting community income, and preserving the environment. However, optimising the role of these sectors still faces various challenges, such as limited infrastructure, restricted market access, low technology, socio-ecological conflicts, and policy and institutional challenges. The research method used systematic literature review with thematic analysis to identify contributions and obstacles faced. The research findings highlight the need for an integrated approach that strengthens infrastructure, human resource capacity, local institutions, and policy harmonisation to promote inclusive and sustainable regional economic growth in border areas. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for policy recommendations to strengthen the role of the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors as drivers of the border community's economy.

Abstract

This study discusses the relationship between land tenure security and investment attractiveness in large-scale plantation sectors from an economic perspective using a literature review method. Legal certainty regarding land tenure is a key determinant in shaping a stable investment climate, given the long-term, capital-intensive nature of plantation investments and the relatively long payback period required. The literature review findings indicate that certainty regarding the duration of land use rights not only reduces legal and social uncertainty risks but also enhances investor confidence and promotes efficiency in resource management. On the other hand, investment attractiveness is also significantly influenced by economic factors such as commodity price stability, infrastructure availability, government policy incentives, value chain integration, and compliance with environmental sustainability and social responsibility principles (ESG). The findings of this study emphasise the importance of synergy between legal policies and economic strategies so that large-scale plantation investments can provide optimal benefits for national economic development, environmental protection, and community welfare.

Abstract

The results of this study indicate that managerial leadership has a significant influence on organisational effectiveness. A leader who is able to formulate a clear vision, direct resources optimally, and build effective communication can improve individual and team performance. Appropriate leadership styles—such as transformational, participative, or situational—have been proven to motivate employees, foster collaboration, and strengthen organisational adaptation to environmental changes, which ultimately promotes the efficient and sustainable achievement of strategic goals. In addition to leadership, work accountability has also been proven to be a key factor supporting organisational effectiveness. A strong accountability culture ensures that every member understands their roles and responsibilities, works according to established standards, and is ready to be evaluated objectively. The reciprocal relationship between leadership and accountability is clear: leaders establish and maintain accountability mechanisms, while effective accountability systems help strengthen credibility and trust in leadership. The synergy between the two creates a transparent, disciplined, and highly integrity-driven organisation. Overall, the findings of this study confirm that managerial leadership and work accountability are two inseparable pillars in efforts to improve organisational effectiveness. The practical implication is that organisations need to develop leadership competencies while building a fair, transparent, and consistent accountability system. The combination of visionary leadership and a strong accountability culture will strengthen organisational competitiveness, enhance stakeholder trust, and ensure sustainable performance amid increasingly complex environmental dynamics.

Abstract

Creating a healthy school environment is an important aspect of developing students' learning capacity and well-being. Various studies have explored the implementation of policies and best practices that support physical, mental and social health in the school environment. The research method used was literature research. The results show that hygiene standards, air quality, nutrition, physical activity, comprehensive health education and emotional support are key factors in creating healthy schools. The multidisciplinary involvement of educators, parents, and health practitioners showed significant improvement in the successful implementation of this policy. In addition, anti-bullying and mental health promotion practices have contributed to a decrease in school violence cases and an increase in students' mental awareness.

Abstract

Facing the challenges of an increasingly complex global economy, human resource (HR) leadership development is crucial to organisational success. Competent and adaptive leaders are needed to guide organisations through market changes, technological disruption and geopolitical uncertainty. Therefore, organisations need to implement a comprehensive and visionary leadership development strategy that includes identifying potential leadership talent, providing relevant learning and development opportunities, and creating a culture that supports leadership growth and innovation. Investment in HR leadership development is not only a strategic imperative, but also a competitive advantage that can drive team performance, increase employee engagement, and align the organisation towards common goals. However, leadership development must be an ongoing and evolving endeavour, responsive to changing business realities and emerging needs. By adopting a proactive and future-oriented approach to HR leadership development, organisations can position themselves for success in an increasingly competitive global landscape.
