This research aims to analyze the procedure of menandu bride and the meaning of menandu bride. Using descriptive qualitative method with primary data sources obtained from observation, documentation, and interviews conducted by researchers and informants who have been determined by researchers. The data analysis used is with four stages, namely data collection by conducting interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the research, the meaning of the bridal menandu is a happy symbol as a party celebration marked by a blue tent and a flower-decorated aisle as the throne of the bride and groom considered the king and queen of the day, and accompanied by gong, aramba and faritia musical instruments.  As a generation of Nias, this characteristic of the wedding party has existed from the past to the present. Another meaning of carrying the bride and groom, which is considered gold that is displayed to people, is a form of legal acceptance from the male party in their family or social community. Furthermore, brothers carrying the bride and groom is a sense of strengthening the relationship to protect each other and also give appreciation for the life choice to get married.
