Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of library management in an effort to increase student reading interest at Bakti Ibu Junior High School, Lubuklinggau. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, involving informants consisting of the head librarian, an Indonesian language teacher as literacy instructor, and students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles et al. (2020) through the stages of data reduction, presentation, and verification, with validity maintained through triangulation of sources, time, and techniques. The results show that the implementation of library management functions at Bakti Ibu Junior High School, Lubuklinggau, includes four main stages: planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. The school has implemented various literacy programs such as 15-minute reading sessions, Book Week, Literacy Day, and the Schoology E-Learning Utilization Workshop. Collection management is carried out through a digital system supported by adequate infrastructure, although there are still obstacles such as limited budget, operating hours, and the absence of a professional librarian. The role of teachers and student participation in literacy activities also strengthen the effectiveness of library management. The findings indicate an increase in students' interest in reading, as evidenced by the increased frequency of library visits, participation in literacy activities, and intrinsic motivation to read. This study concludes that the implementation of systematic and participatory library management contributes significantly to increasing students' interest in reading. Effective library management encompasses not only the technical aspects of collection management but also strengthening literacy programs, integrating digital technology, and creating comfortable and inspiring reading spaces.   Keywords: Library Management, Reading Interest, School Literacy, Educational Management

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of entrepreneurship education in fostering a spirit of independence among 12th-grade students at Hidayatuzzu'ama Vocational High School in Tungkal Jaya District. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that the management of entrepreneurship education at Hidayatuzzu'ama Vocational High School includes three main stages: (1) structured planning through the development of a practice-based curriculum, teacher training, and the establishment of an entrepreneurial culture within the school environment; (2) implementation focused on project-based learning and hands-on practice that encourages students to be creative and take responsibility for the results of their efforts; and (3) periodic evaluation using the CIPP model to assess the context, input, process, and product of learning. Factors supporting the program's success include the principal's commitment, the active role of teachers as facilitators, student enthusiasm, and school facilities. Abstract

Kota Makassar menghadapi perubahan iklim ekstrem dengan peningkatan suhu rata-rata tahunan dan cuaca yang tidak terduga, menjadikannya salah satu kota dengan perubahan cuaca paling signifikan di dunia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak perubahan iklim serta mengevaluasi langkah adaptasi pemerintah dalam mengurangi risiko. Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dengan informan kunci seperti, serta melalui proses dokumentasi dan observasi. Selain itu, FGD (Focus Group Discussion) juga dilakukan untuk memperoleh pandangan yang lebih luas. Alat analisis yang dioptimalkan menggunakan Nvivo 12 Plus. Perubahan iklim di Makassar menyebabkan peningkatan banjir rob, anomali suhu, dan kerusakan ekosistem, berdampak pada infrastruktur, ekonomi, kesehatan, dan lingkungan. Pemerintah telah melakukan langkah mitigasi seperti peningkatan drainase, edukasi masyarakat, dan kampung iklim, tetapi pendekatan proaktif, seperti pengelolaan tata ruang dan adopsi praktik internasional, diperlukan untuk meningkatkan ketahanan kota secara berkelanjutan. Pendekatan proaktif melibatkan perencanaan tata ruang yang mempertimbangkan risiko iklim, seperti membangun kawasan pesisir tahan banjir dan memperluas ruang hijau sebagai area resapan air. Selain itu, adopsi praktik internasional, seperti program edukasi komunitas di Jepang, dapat memperkuat adaptasi berbasis lokal untuk menghadapi dampak perubahan iklim.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology in the era of globalization requires all students to have digital literacy skills in order to be prepared for entering college. The situation at MAS DDI Cambalagi shows that most students still have limited basic computer skills. Therefore, students from the KEMAL (Field Application Teaching Skills) program at Maros Muslim University (UMMA) organized computer training activities to improve students' digital skills. The activity was carried out in several stages, namely mapping the participants' needs, providing material and practical application of Microsoft Office, and evaluation using questionnaires and group discussions. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in abilities, especially in terms of confidence, technical skills, and motivation in developing digital literacy. Data revealed that 85% of participants became more confident, 80% showed improvement in application operation, and 75% demonstrated a higher commitment to continue learning technology. These findings indicate that the training positively contributed to supporting students' academic readiness to meet the demands of technology-based higher education.

Abstract

Early childhood is a critical period for cognitive development, socialization and independence, motor skills, and language. This article introduces the Spinning Box, an innovative educational game designed to stimulate children's holistic development through gross motor skills, fine motor skills, speech and language skills, and socialization and independence. The research method is a quasi-experimental study using a single-group pre-test and post-test design proposed to evaluate its effectiveness. Analysis was descriptive and used paired t-tests to detect differences in mean scores before and after the intervention. Participants consisted of four children aged 3–4 years. Inclusion criteria: healthy children without major developmental disorders, with parental consent. The Spin Box consists of a cube with four sides, each corresponding to a developmental task (motor skills, speech and language skills, and socialization and independence skills). Children took turns spinning the box and completing the assigned tasks. Sessions lasted for 20 minutes, three times a week, for eight weeks. Measurements were conducted using the Pre-Screening Developmental Questionnaire. The results showed significant improvements in all four domains of child development following the Spinning Box intervention. All p-values were below 0.05. Furthermore, Cohen's d effect sizes across all domains were very large (d > 0.8), with most even far exceeding this value. This shows that the Spinning Box educational game has a very strong influence in stimulating development in early childhood. However, with only four participants from one center and a single-group pre-post design, these findings are preliminary and should be interpreted with caution, as they cannot be broadly generalized.Parental involvement is widely recognized as a key determinant of children’s academic achievement, motivation, and socio-emotional development. Yet despite decades of research, evidence on concrete and scalable strategies remains fragmented. This study synthesizes recent innovations by conducting a structured literature review of 63 Scopus-indexed articles published between 2020 and 2025, complemented by earlier foundational works to provide historical and conceptual grounding. The objective was to identify effective approaches, examine barriers to implementation, and highlight emerging opportunities for strengthening parent–school partnerships in primary and secondary education. Findings converge into five clusters. First, programmatic interventions such as parenting workshops and structured sharing sessions enhanced parental knowledge, confidence, and collaboration with teachers, leading to improvements in children’s learning outcomes. Second, technology-enabled access—including internet provision, device distribution, and digital platforms—expanded opportunities for engagement, although inequalities in digital literacy and access remained evident. Third, multi-channel communication systems such as logbooks, bulletins, and social media groups supported continuous dialogue between home and school, with positive effects on student behavior and motivation. Fourth, shared governance through parental participation in school committees, decision-making, and community events fostered inclusivity, reduced dropout risks, and enhanced school–community relationships. Fifth, targeted outreach, including home visits and culturally responsive practices, proved especially effective in reaching disadvantaged families and improving trust, equity, and sustained participation. Overall, the review demonstrates that parental involvement is highly adaptable and can be strengthened through a mix of low-cost innovations and contextually sensitive strategies. These findings offer educators and policymakers actionable insights for institutionalizing parental engagement and addressing persistent equity gaps in education.

Abstract

Kelulusan siswa merupakan indikator penting dalam menilai keberhasilan pendidikan, yang dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor seperti nilai akademik, aktivitas ekstrakurikuler, kemampuan interpersonal, kondisi sosial ekonomi, serta dukungan orang tua. Prediksi kelulusan dapat membantu sekolah dalam mendeteksi siswa yang berisiko tidak lulus dan memberikan intervensi yang tepat waktu.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun model prediksi kelulusan siswa dengan menggunakan metode Support Vector Machine (SVM), yang dikenal efektif dalam memisahkan data ke dalam kategori tertentu secara optimal. Data yang digunakan mencakup aspek akademik dan non-akademik. Proses pemodelan meliputi pembersihan data, seleksi fitur, optimasi parameter, serta evaluasi performa menggunakan metrik akurasi, presisi, dan recall. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa model SVM mampu memberikan prediksi kelulusan yang akurat berdasarkan data yang didapat yakni nilai precision sebesar 97%, recall sebesar 90%, dan akurasi sebesar 97,16% menunjukkan bahwa model memiliki tingkat kinerja yang sangat baik. Dengan demikian, model ini dapat dikategorikan sebagai model dengan performa excellent dan layak digunakan sebagai alat bantu dalam menentukan kelulusan siswa secara akurat dan andal

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh dukungan sosial dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap prestasi mahasiswa pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Makassar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain ex post facto dengan melibatkan 120 mahasiswa dari berbagai program studi. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi dengan nilai t = 3,214 dan p = 0,002, yang mengindikasikan bahwa setiap peningkatan dukungan sosial memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap kenaikan IPK mahasiswa. Kecerdasan emosional juga menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan dengan nilai t = 4,557 dan p = 0,000, menandakan bahwa kemampuan mengelola emosi berperan penting dalam pencapaian akademik. Secara simultan, kedua variabel menghasilkan nilai F = 19,842 dengan signifikansi 0,000 dan koefisien determinasi R² = 0,264, yang berarti bahwa dukungan sosial dan kecerdasan emosional bersama-sama menjelaskan 26,4% variasi prestasi akademik mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan kurikulum berbasis karakter terhadap perkembangan moral siswa di SMA 1 Polewali. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari pentingnya moralitas sebagai bagian integral dari pembentukan karakter, serta adanya fenomena bahwa perkembangan moral siswa belum sepenuhnya optimal meskipun kurikulum berbasis karakter telah diterapkan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis eksplanatori. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 120 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik sampling acak proporsional. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner berbasis skala Likert dan diperkuat dengan observasi serta wawancara terbatas. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, uji prasyarat, dan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kurikulum berbasis karakter berada pada kategori tinggi, demikian pula perkembangan moral siswa. Hasil analisis regresi mengungkapkan bahwa kurikulum berbasis karakter berpengaruh signifikan terhadap perkembangan moral siswa, dengan kontribusi sebesar 44,6%. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan implementasi pendidikan karakter melalui pembelajaran, keteladanan, dan budaya sekolah yang kondusif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya penguatan kerja sama antara guru, sekolah, dan orang tua untuk mendukung perkembangan moral siswa secara optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurship education on the economic empowerment of coastal women with self-efficacy and financial literacy as mediating variables in Makassar City. Quantitative research was used involving 100 coastal women respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that entrepreneurship education has a positive and significant effect on women's economic empowerment. Entrepreneurship education has a positive and significant effect on coastal women's self-efficacy. Entrepreneurship education influences coastal women's financial literacy. Indirectly, coastal women's economic empowerment is positively and significantly influenced by entrepreneurship education through self-efficacy. Entrepreneurship education has a positive, significant effect on the economic empowerment of coastal women in Makassar City by enhancing their financial literacy. Important findings show that self-efficacy and financial literacy can partially and significantly mediate the relationship between entrepreneurship education and coastal women's economic empowerment. This research model emphasizes the importance of entrepreneurship education, not only focusing on knowledge transfer but also on building self-confidence and financial literacy to empower sustainable economic development for coastal women in Makassar City.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to identify the gap between the practice requirements and the outputs of the audit education and training center and to identify the contribution of the forensic accounting curriculum in filling the gap. This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample is 124 respondents with professional backgrounds as auditors and accountants educators in Indonesia. The data collection method implemented in this research is the survey method through the distribution of questionnaires and direct interview techniques with the non-participatory observation which aims to find out more details about the case being studied without actively involving the object of study. Furthermore, this study explores the best possible strategies in shaping learning outcomes that are competent and ready to practice as auditors based on various previous studies and contributes to auditing education and training centers and universities by providing material for consideration in the preparation of strategic plans and learning programs. This study can also contribute to prospective auditors who are considering alternative audit training curricula by providing various competency recommendations for the needs of current auditing practices.
