Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the methods and strategies for increasing the memorization of the Koran at the Tahfidzul Qur'an Ar Rabbani Islamic Boarding School and the Tahfidzul Qur'an Muhammadiyah Darul Hikmah Masaran Islamic Boarding School. This study can provide valuable insights for managers and stakeholders of the tahfidz Islamic boarding school to improve the quality of students' Qur'anic education with the aim of increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of Pondok Masaran. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods carried out in the field by collecting information from school principals, supervisors (musyrif) and students through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively using data manipulation, display and inference. The main method used is “recitations” (recitation of the Qur'an over and over again) coupled with additional methods such as memorizing the end of verses and the combined approach. Strategies focus on repetition, "murojaah" (revision), and understanding the meaning of verses to strengthen memorization. Teacher support and proper time management drive success. Even if there are obstacles such as lack of motivation and difficulty remembering, a change in strategy can overcome them.

Abstract

The Iqra` method is a method in the process of learning to read the Qur'an which in the learning process begins at the basic level and emphasizes direct reading practice because in the learning process it has an efficient and practical learning systematic. According to the situation in the field, this research is based on the fact that there are many students who do not understand the law of recitation and are not fluent in reading the Qur'an. This study has a goal, namely to determine the effectiveness of using the iqra` method in improving the quality of reading the Koran. The method used in this research is to use a quantitative approach, then the sample used is 53 people and divided into 2 sample groups, namely the iqra` method group and the non iqra` method group. Then in collecting the data, the researcher uses the test technique, then the results of the research are carried out by testing the prerequisite test with the homogeneity test and the normality test, then the next step is to test the hypothesis with the T Test Technique to find out the value of the difference in the results of using the iqra` method and non iqra` method in increasing the quality of reading the Qur'an. Based on the results of the research and discussion, the results are T count 3.448 > 1.711 T table and the significance results are 0.002 <0.05 so that the hypothesis in this study is accepted. The use of the iqra` method in improving the quality of students' Al-Qur`an reading at the Tahfidz Al-Barokah Islamic Boarding School in Merapi is considered effective.

Abstract

This research aims to find out: (1) How high are the pedagogical abilities of Islamic education teachers at MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Masaran Sragen; (2) How high are the learning outcomes of the Aqidah and Akhlaq subjects at MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Masaran Sragen; (3) To what extent is there a significant relationship between the teacher's pedagogical abilities and learning outcomes in the Aqidah and Akhlaq subject. This research uses a Quantitative approach with a True Experimental Design research type. The research location was carried out at MTs Muhammadiyah 3, Sragen Regency District and was carried out for approximately 5 months from March to July 2024. The research population was 165 students with a sample size of 66 students. Sampling technique using Simple Random sampling technique. The data collection instruments used were questionnaires and documentation instruments. The analysis technique uses unit analysis techniques before the data is analyzed, a normality test and linearity test are carried out, then a Hypothesis test is carried out with Pearson Product Moment with the help of the SPSS 26 application. The research results show data that: (1) Pedagogical abilities of Islamic education teachers at MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Masaran Sragen are in the medium category with 39 or 59%; (2) the results of learning the Aqidah and Akhlaq subject at MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Masaran Sragen are in the medium category with a total of 43 students or 65%; (3) the relationship between the teacher's pedagogical ability and the learning outcomes of the subject Aqidah Akhlaq with a significance value of 5% shows 0.434 > 0.050 so it can be said that the two variables have a correlation. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Seberapa tinggi kemampuan Pedagogik guru PAI di MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Masaran Sragen; (2) Seberapa tinggi hasil pembelajaran mata pelajaran Akidah akhlaq di MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Masaran Sragen; (3) Sejauhmana hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan pedagogik guru terhadap hasil pembelajaran mata pelajaran Akidah akhlaq. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis pendekatan Kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian True Eksperimental Design. Tempat penelitian dilaksanakan di di MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Kecamatan Kabupaten Sragen dan dilaksanakan selama Kurang lebih 5 bulan dari bulan Maret sampai Juli 2024. Populasi penelitian adalah para siswa yang berjumlah 165 dengan jumlah sampel 66 siswa. Teknik Pengambilan sampel dengan Teknik Simple Random sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang dipergunakan adalah menggunakan instrumen angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis menggunakan teknik analisis unit sebelum data dianalisis maka dilakukan uji normalitas dan uji linieritas, baru dilakukan uji Hipotesis dengan Product Moment Pearson dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS 26. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan data bahwa: (1) kemampuan Pedagogik guru PAI di MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Masaran Sragen berada dalam kategori sedang dengan jumlah 39 atau 59%; (2) hasil pembelajaran mata pelajaran Akidah akhlaq di MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Masaran Sragen berada pada kategori sedang dengan jumlah 43 siswa atau 65%; (3) hubungan antara kemampuan pedagogik guru terhadap hasil pembelajaran mata pelajaran Akidah akhlaq dengan nilai signifikasi 5% menunjukkan 0,434 > 0,050 sehingga bisa dikatakan antar kedua variabel memiliki korelasi.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an instrument to measure Sharia students' perception of the Khilafah. The research applied the ADDIE development research approach. The activity began with reviewing Taqiyuddin An-Nabhani's books and articles about Khilafah to get the instrument construct (analysis). The next stage was to compile the grid and assemble the instrument items (design). The items of the assembled instrument were then assessed by 11 experts (development). The validated Instruments were then carried out with limi­ted and expanded trials. The limited trial was conducted on 26 students at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Salatiga, and the expanded trial was conducted on 227 Sharia stu­dents from Institut Islam Mamba'ul "˜Ulum (IIM) Surakarta, UIN Raden Mas Said, and UIN Salatiga. The experimental data were analyzed with CFA. The results indicate that the instrument construct consisted of seven aspects of measurement encompassing the essence, the function, the establishment, the power and sovereignty, the form of state and government, the Khilafah government system, and the constitution for non-Muslims. The measurement model meets eight model fit criteria, including AGFI = 0.84 (> 0.8), chi-square/df = 1.459 (< 2), RMR = 0.054 (≤ 0.1), SRMR = 0.056 (≤ 0.1), RMSEA = 0.045 (< 0.08), NFI = 0.95 (≥ 0.9), NNFI = 0.98 (≥ 0.9), CFI = 0.98 (≥ 0.9), IFI = 0.98 (≥ 0.9). The instrument also has a good guarantee of validity and reliability. This is indicated by the loading factor value of each indicator above 0.4 and the composite reliability value of 0.95 (> 0.7) so that the instrument can be used for further measure­ments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa sukar butir soal, mengetahui daya beda soal dan mengetahui keberfungsian distraktor butir soal fikih pada siswa Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah Blimbing, Wonorejo, Polokarto, Sukoharjo. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 26 siswa kelas VIII. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teori tes klasik dengan bantuan Anates V4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: tingkat kesukaran soal asesmen masih belum ideal karena lebih didominasi kategori soal mudah, dari daya pembedanya, soal asesmen ini tidak baik dan perlu untuk direvisi/tidak digunakan pada tes selanjutnya, dan efektivitas pengecoh soal ini lebih didominasi dengan pengecoh yang tidak berfungsi. Soal ini tergolong soal yang mudah dan tidak menantang bagi peserta didik dan perlu dilakukan perbaikan pada kualitas soal, khususnya dalam hal daya pembeda dan efektivitas pengecoh untuk meningkatkan kualitas penilaian. Analisis butir soal membantu meningkatkan efektivitas dan keadilan evaluasi pendidikan serta mendukung pengembangan profesional guru.

Abstract

This research aims at developing an instrument for measuring views on Muhammadiyah ideology that is valid and reliable. This study adapted Borg and Gall's development model through initial research, planning, initial product development, limited testing, product revision, expanded testing, and product revision. The steps started with initial research to obtain the ideology construct of books related to Muhammadiyah. The ideology construct obtained was used as the basis to arrange instrument items which were then validated by five experts in the fields of measurement, Muhammadiyah ideology, practitioners, and Muhammadiyah cadres by filling the sheet of variable appropriateness with indicators and indicators appropriateness with the statements. The results of the experts' validation were analyzed with the Aiken formula. The validated instrument was then tested limitedly in the Muhammadiyah regional leadership in Karanganyar, Sragen, and Boyolali, by involving 253 respondents. The result of the test was analyzed using factor analysis and SEM using the Lisrel program. The result of the research shows that the instrument for measuring the views on Muhammadiyah ideology consists of 26 items comprised of seven aspects of Muhammadiyah ideology measurement, including tauhid (two items), living in a social group (three items), Allah's law (three items), Islamic doctrine (five items), the prophet's ittiba' (four items), organization (three items), and Muhammadiyah goals (six items). The instrument fulfills the validity criteria since it has a loading factor between 0.3-0.85(>0.3) and CR 0.92 (>0.7). The instrument is reliable since Cronbach's Alpha is 0.869>0.7. Since it is valid and reliable, then it is suitable to be used to measure the views on Muhammadiyah ideology in Indonesia.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to develop an instrument for assessing critical thinking skills that meets the criteria for validity, reliability, and good item quality.Method – Preliminary research identified challenges faced by mathematics teachers in designing valid and reliable assessment instruments for students' critical thinking skills. To address this, the study employed a literature review, expert validation, and both limited and expanded trials. Content validity was assessed using Aiken’s validity index, while construct validity and reliability were analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Findings – The first-stage trial focused on assessing content validity through Aiken’s validity index. The results indicated that both the construction material and linguistic/readability aspects achieved validity values above 0.5, confirming the instrument’s suitability for high school mathematics learning. The subsequent expanded trial evaluated construct validity and reliability using CFA. The analysis demonstrated that all indicator factor loadings exceeded 0.5, confirming their validity, while construct reliability values exceeded 0.7, indicating reliability. Additionally, the model fit indices showed RMSEA < 0.08, p-value > 0.05, Chi-Square/df < 2, AGFI > 0.9, and GFI > 0.9, confirming that the developed model aligned well with the empirical data. Research Implications – The developed instrument effectively measures critical thinking skills in mathematics learning, meeting the criteria for a robust assessment tool with strong validity, reliability, and model fit. It is recommended for broader implementation in educational settings.

Abstract

Measuring perceptions of the khilafah is crucial to answer the differences in research results that are currently developing. However, to obtain reliable research results requires valid and reliable measurement instruments, while valid instruments can only be obtained from precise measurement constructs. This study aims to describe the construction of the caliphate state according to Taqiyuddin An Nabhani in the perspective of modern state theory. Research using a historical approach, data obtained from primary sources in the form of books written by Taqiyuddin An Nabhani such as Nidzamul Islam, Nidzmul Hukmi fil islam, and secondary sources in the form of books by his students such as democracy kufur system written by Abdul Qadim Zallum. According to Taqiyuddin An Nabhani, the caliphate is a general leadership that applies islamic law and charges it across the country. The Caliphate was established to realize sharia maqasid by imposing sanctions and criminal penalties according to Islamic law, the form of a unitary state, the form of government of the caliphate. In a caliphate state sovereignty is in the hands of God (Allah Swt) while power is in the hands of the people. Constitution in general life that all citizens both Muslim and non-Muslim get equal rights, whereas in private life such as worship, marriage, food and clothing are left to their respective religions. Pengukuran persepsi tentang khilafah menjadi hal penting untuk menjawab perbedaan hasil penelitian yang saat ini berkembang. Namun untuk mendapatkan hasil penelitian yang dapat dipercaya membutuhkan instrumen pengukuran yang valid dan reliabel, sedangkan instrumen yang valid hanya dapat diperoleh dari konstruk pengukuran yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konstruksi negara khilafah menurut Taqiyuddin An Nabhani dalam perspektif teori negara modern. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah dengan langkah pertama pengumpulan data terkait pemikiran negara Khilafah menurut Taqiyuddin An Nabhani (heuristics), kedua verifikasi data (source criticism), ketiga sintesis dan analisis, keempat penjelasan konstruk negara khilafah menurut Taqiyuddin An nabhani dalam perspektif teori negara modern. Menurut Taqiyuddin An Nabhani, khilafah adalah kepemimpinan umum yang menerapkan hukum islam dan mendakwahkannya ke penjuru negeri. Khilafah didirikan untuk mewujudkan maqasid syariah dengan memberlakukan sanksi dan pidana sesuai hukum Islam, bentuk negara kesatuan, bentuk pemerintahan khilafah. Dalam negara khilafah kedaulatan di tangan Asy Syari’ (Allah Swt) sedangkan kekuasaan di tangan umat. Konstitusi pada kehidupan umum bahwa semua warga negara baik muslim maupun non-muslim mendapatkan hak yang sama, sedangkan dalam kehidupan privat seperti peribadatan, pernikahan, makanan dan pakaian diserahkan kepada agama masing-masing. Abstract

Evaluasi terhadap strategi dakwah Muhammadiyah menjadi penting dilakukan untuk memastikan bahwa gerak dakwah persyarikatan tetap relevan dengan dinamika sosial keumatan yang terus berkembang. Selain itu, pemetaan kekuatan ideologi melalui perspektif warga persyarikatan diperlukan untuk menilai sejauh mana strategi dakwah yang diterapkan telah mendukung terwujudnya cita-cita perjuangan Muhammadiyah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan peta kekuatan ideologi Muhammadiyah dari aspek penilaian strategi dakwah persyarikatan dalam mewujudkan cita-cita hidup Muhammadiyah. Penelitian menggunakan metode survey dengan responden yang dilibatkan sebanyak 323 warga Muhammadiyah di wilayah Sragen, Karanganyar, Surakarta, Boyolali, Sukoharjo dan Klaten. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan alat ukur kekuatan ideologi Muhammadiyah yang dikembangkan oleh Subando, Samsuri dan Muslimin. Data hasil penilaian responden terhadap strategi Muhammadiyah dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menurut warga Muhammadiyah urutan strategi yang perlu dilakukan oleh pengurus dalam mewujudkan cita-cita Muhammadiyah adalah pembinaan masyarakat (3,82), peningkatan kualitas hidup masyarakat (3,77), penguatan kader (3,74), strategi berpolitik dan bernegara (3,72) dan yang terakhir adalah penguatan persyarikatan (3,52). Penelitian ini merekomendasikan kepada pimpinan daerah di wilayah eks-Karesidenan Surakarta untuk menyusun program kerja berdasar skala prioritas sebagaimana hasil penelitian di atas.

Abstract

This research aims to construct the attitudes and views of Aswaja An Nahdliyah on brotherhood among Islamic organizations. This study is qualitative and utilizes a case study design. The data needed includes NU's attitudes and views on brotherhood, sourced from various Aswaja books used for internalization in Ma’arif education, articles, writings on NU's website, and videos from the NU online channel. Data is collected documentarily and analyzed descriptively according to themes, with findings validated through interviews with NU administrators. The results show that Ukhuwah Islamiyyah, from the perspective of Aswaja An Nahdliyah, represents unity and brotherhood due to shared beliefs and religious practices, common concepts of nationalism, and shared practical political interests. The findings of this research can serve as a foundation for developing instruments to measure the Ukhuwah Islamiyyah among Islamic organizations.
