Abstract

This article stems from the social gap felt by the Chinese ethnic community in a multiethnic environment, which requires them to be able to blend in and interact with each other. As multicultural ethnic life requires them to understand and establish social relationships with each other, communication awareness becomes an important aspect in preventing conflicts that often arise due to misunderstandings among the multiethnic community. This study aims to analyze the community's communication practices among ethnic groups as an effort to bridge and overcome social gaps post-conflict. The research was conducted using ethnographic methodology to reveal facts by employing observation, interviews, and documentation to gather data. The research informants were 12 individuals, consisting of four Chinese ethnic members and eight local community members. The results reveal that the Chinese ethnic group has implemented several strategies to build communication awareness when interacting with the diverse local community. These strategies include self-awareness of diversity values, building genuine tolerance in the community, the readiness and willingness to engage in open communication, and being good listeners.

Abstract

This research study aims to determine: 1) The implementation of student problem-based learning in economics class X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Pontianak. 2) the ability to think critically of students in Economics in class X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Pontianak. 3) The effect of problem-based learning model on students' critical thinking in Economics class X MAN 1 Pontianak. This study uses quantitative methods to collect information through polls or questionnaires, documentation. The results of this paper show 1) The implementation of student problem-based learning in Economics class X MAN 1 Pontianak with a percentage of 81.48% with a very good category. 2) The ability to think critically of students in Economics in class X MAN 1 Pontianak with a percentage of 80.48% with a very high category. 3) The effect of the problem-based learning model on the critical thinking skills of students of class X economics at MAN 1 Pontianak, namely there is an influence of 43%, while the remaining 57% is thought to be influenced by other variables that the researchers did not examine further.

Abstract

Tumbuhan mempunyai beragam manfaat bagi kehidupan manusia sehingga disebut memiliki nilai ekonomi. Salah satu jenis tumbuhan yang banyak dimanfaatkan yaitu Pisang (Musa sp). Kajian nilai ekonomi pisang dapat dimulai dari inventarisasi pemanfaatannya pada suatu suku atau etnis yang disebut etnobotani. Kajian etnobotani merupakan salah satu langkah mendokumentasikan pengetahuan lokal suatu etnis, sehingga mengarah kepada konservasi karena pentingnya peranan dari suatu macam tumbuhan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menginventarisir pemanfaatan pisang bagi masyarakat lokal di Desa Puundoho, sehingga dapat terdokumentasi dengan baik dan akhirnya mengarah kepada salah satu upaya konservasi pisang dan kearifan lokal tetap terjaga diera disrupsi modern saat ini. Metode penelitian ini yaitu melalui observasi, ekplorasi dan wawancara pada informan terpilih. Data hasil penelitian selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hampir semua bagian tanaman pisang dimanfaatakan oleh masyarakat. Pemanfaatan tersebut juga didukung oleh data sains terutama karena adanya kandungan senyawa yang terdapat dalam bagian tanaman pisang tersebut. Kesesuaian ini menjadi peluang untuk pengembangan seperti obat dimasa mendatang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka disimpulkan bahwa bagian tanaman pisang yang digunakan beserta pemanfaatannya yaitu jantung pisang digunakan sebagai lauk atau sayuran, batang semu pisang digunakan sebagai tancapan bambu untuk menyimpan gelas, daun pisang muda digunakan sebagai pembatas dan pembungkus makanan dan kue tradisional, daun pisang kering sebagai pembungkus baje dan gula aren, buah pisang untuk membuat kue-kue tradisional dan sebagai terapi pada penderita susah buang air besar dan ambeiyen, kulit pisang digunakan sebagai pakan ternak kambing..

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze the economic potential and feasibility of the Vaname Shrimp cultivation business in that location. The method used is qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative is to see an overview of shrimp farming in the village, while quantitative analysis is to calculate the economic potential and business feasibility of Vaname Shrimp cultivation. This research was conducted in August-October 2022 in Seuwwa Village, Pakue District, North Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The location selection was done deliberately, data collection through observation and questionnaire assistance. Data analysis techniques to calculate economic potential through acceptance and income analysis, while data analysis techniques to determine business feasibility are using operating profit (OP), benefit cost ratio (BCR), payback period (PP), profit rate (PR), breakeven formulas. points (BEP), return on investment (ROI). The results showed that the Vaname Shrimp cultivation business in the research location obtained a profit or income of Rp. 17,073,000, OP value obtained 17,193,000, BCR 5.09, PP 0.24, PR 409.29%, production BEP 78.54 Kg, BEP value Rp. 7,854, and ROI 236.76%. Based on this, the Vaname Shrimp farming business in Seuwwa Village has economic potential and is feasible to continue.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the developing technologies. AI has several capabilities that make it important to apply that is being able to solve complex problems, perform high-level computational processes, increase accuracy, and make decisions. One of the domains of AI is Data Science, which can forecast, predict, and recommend. Based on the capabilities of AI, especially Data Science, it is necessary to conduct education about AI and its applications. Education provided by online through a video conferencing application. The stages of implementing activities consist of planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the implementation of the activities were satisfying as shown by the results of the post test and the enthusiasm of the participants

Abstract

Garbage is the most common thing that can be found in crowded places, such as beaches. The beach as a tourist attraction also contributes to the increasing amount of waste. Scattered garbage will affect the beauty, bota and human health. Changes in environmentally conscious attitudes can be done by providing education, outreach and direct examples. One way to make this happen is through the tridharma of community service from lecturers. The purpose of this activity is to provide education to the target audience about coastal pollution. The methods used in this education are lectures and discussions. The results of the service prove that there has been a change in the paradigm of partners before and after providing education. Public service target audiences no longer think that maintaining cleanliness is not their responsibility but a shared responsibility. The survey results after one month from the start of the service show that the beach tends to be cleaner than all. This means that service activities have added experience and an increase in the knowledge of participants/partners

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the economic potential and feasibility of goldfish farming in Patoko Village, Luwu Regency. The type of research is descriptive, while the variables of this research are the economic potential and the feasibility of goldfish farming on former paddy land. Data collection was carried out by simple random sampling through observation and interviews. The results of the study indicate that the business of cultivating carp in former rice planting fields has economic potential because it is profitable and can finance the operational needs of the business. This cultivation business is also considered feasible to be restarted based on the analysis results of OP, BCR, PP, BEP production and value, as well as the ROI value.

Abstract

Olahan pangan tradisional adalah Olahan pangan tradisional merupakan kuliner khas dari suatu suku atau disebut juga etnofood, yang dibuat dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya alam yang ada disekitarnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji etnobiologi olahan pangan tradisional berbasis kearifan lokal pada masyarakat Wotu serta menganalisis peluang wirausaha dari olahan pangan tradisional tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian untuk inventarisis jenis olahan pangan tradisional yaitu dengan purpose sampling menggunakan observasi dan wawancara, sedangkan analisa peluang wirausaha dilakukan dengan melihat potensi ekonominya menggunakan rumus penerimaan dan rumus pendapatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa olahan pangan tradisional berbasis kearifan lokal yang ditemukan di Wotu yaitu pocco, parede ikan, lawa, kapurung, dange, ongol-ongol dan barobbo. Hasil analisis potensi ekonomi pada olahan pangan tradisional di Wotu menunjukkan bahwa total penerimaan semua produk tersebut lebih besar daripada biaya yang dikeluarkan dalam proses pembuatannya. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa olahan pangan tradisonal dapat mendatangkan keuntungan sehingga dikatakan memiliki peluang wirausaha.

Abstract

One of the economic values of plants is that they can be used as medicine. Indonesian people since ancient times have used plants as traditional medicine. This knowledge has been passed down from generation to generation and there are differences between regions. This is due to differences in customs and experiences of people who use traditional medicine. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out an inventory or record of plants that act as medicines so that they can be properly documented. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the types of plants used as traditional medicine by the local community. This research was conducted in West Pussui Village, Luwo District, Kab. Polewali Mandar, West Sulawesi. The method used is explorative which is descriptive qualitative in nature. The data collection technique used Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), through in-depth interviews covering the types of plants that can be used as medicine, their uses and how to mix the plants used. In addition to interviews, direct observation was also carried out to see the conditions at the research location. The technique of selecting respondents was done by snowball sampling. Data from interviews and observations were then presented in the form of pictures and tables and then analyzed using descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the people of the Mandar tribe used kirinyuh, guava, soursop, jatropha banana, cocoa duck, papaya, black turmeric, moringa, coconut, secang wood, bitter melon, meniran, lime, purslane and breadfruit as traditional medicine to treat various kinds of diseases. The part of the plant that is most widely used to treat diseases is the leaf with a percentage of 50%.

Abstract

Analysis of economic potential and business feasibility is carried out so that aquaculture business actors can avoid the risk of loss, one of which is tilapia (Oreochromis Niloticus) cultivation. One of the areas that also does this cultivation is Kampung Laut, Jeruju Besar Village. The research objective was to analyze the economic potential and feasibility of tilapia cultivation in Kampung Laut. The research method is descriptive quantitative. The research variables are economic potential and business feasibility. Data collection was carried out randomly through observation and interviews with informants. Data analysis of economic potential is carried out through acceptance and income analysis, while business feasibility were analyzed through operating profit (OP), benefit cost ratio (BCR), payback period (PP), profitability, breakeven point (BEP), return on investment (ROI) formulas. The results of the study show that the tilapia farming business in Kampung Laut has economic potential because it can provide a profit of Rp. 17,820,000 every harvest period. In addition, the tilapia farming business in the research location is very feasible to restart based on the results of analysis of PCR, OP, PP, total BEP and price BEP. Key words:   Business Feasibility, Cultivation, Economic Potential, Kampung Laut, Tilapia
