Abstract

[DETERMINATION OF ETHYL ACETATE FRACTION FROM Peronema canescens LEAF EXTRACT  AGAINST Plasmodium berghei  INFECTED  Mus musculus] This study was conducted to identify secondary metabolite compounds contained in ethanol extract and ethyl acetate fraction from Peronema canescens leaf (sungkai) and to measure the effect of ethyl acetate fraction on anti plasmodium  activity on Mus musculus infected by  Plasmodium berghei. The ethyl acetate extract was obtained by maceration of leaves with 96% ethanol solution in3 days followed by fractionation by ethyl acetate for further test. 25 of male white  M. musculus  with the weight 20-40 g and 6-8 weeks old , divided into 5 groups with 5 head / group. Groups 3, 4 and 5 are treated and groups 1 and 2 are controls. The negative control will be given food and drink only, and for positive control group will be given chloroquine with dose  0,028,  0,056, and  0,084 g / KgBW.  Development of levels of parasitemia were calculated by by observing a thin blood smear with giemsa staining under a microscope , observed until the parasitemia in the blood had reached 20-30% to be given a 3-day follow-up treatment, and then for the next 7 days after it was given treatment.. Anti-plasmodium activity test is determined by the number of parasitemia, percent growth and resistance of parasitemia in the blood. Data were analyzed by using one way anova method (? = 0,05 and 0,01). The results showed that the secondary metabolite compounds found in the ethyl acetate fraction of  P.canescens leaf, namely alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins and phenolics and at a dose of 0.056 g / KgBW  ethyl acetate fraction  can inhibit the growth of parasitemia in the blood of  M. musculus by 50 , 89% , with greater percentage of parasitemic inhibition compared with positive and negative control group.

Abstract

[USING THE DOCS. GOOGLE INTERNET MEDIA ON THE REDOX REACTION  SUBJECT IN CLASS X IPA SMAN 4 BENGKULU CITY  ] This research aims to know the results of learning: students in the class who are not given the preparation of learning at home, knowing the results of the teaching of students in a given grade of preparatory study at home using internet media, knowing the Docs. Google the difference in the results of student learning in the classroom are not given preparation home study with the results of a survey of students in a provided a homework preparatory sign Docs. Google internet media. The methods used in this research was quasi-experimental research is the entire population with grade X IPA SMAN 4 city of Bengkulu, Sample research, i.e., class experiments and classroom control. The results of the study in this research result of students pretest and posttest. Based on the results of the research conducted in mind that there is a significant difference between the results from student learning in the classroom are not given preparation home study with the results of a survey of students in a given a homework preparation home study using internet media Docs. Google via t-tests using SPSS 16 program. The learning outcomes of students in a given grade of preparatory education at home using Google Docs. Indicates the average rating of 77.0 while learning results of students in the class who are not given a homework preliminary with the average value of 68.6. Student Learning Outcomes in a given class homework preparation using Docs. Google may provide better results on the subject of redox reactions.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the difference of students' chemistry learning result between experiment 1 class which applied learning cycle model (5E) with experiment 2 class that apply two stay two stray learning model on acid acid base material in class XI IPA in SMA Plus Negeri 7 Bengkulu City. Research conducted is a research with the type of quasi experiment. Chemical learning result data obtained from pretest value and posttest value where the average value of improvement of cognitive learning result for experiment class 1 is 47,78. And the average value of cognitive learning improvement for experiment class 2 is 54.875. With  testing the hypothesis using t test with significant level (? = 0,01), then got value for titung equal to 2,60 and for ttable got value equal to 2,380. The results showed that there were significant differences in learning outcomes between classes that applied learning cycle model (5E) with classes that applied the two stay two stray learning model.

Abstract

[COMPARISON OF STUDENTS LEARNING RESULT USING MEDIA Daily Chem Quiz AND GAMES Ranking One Chemistry Quiz]  The aim of this research is to know the difference of students' chemistry learning result using Daily Chem Quiz (DC Quiz) and Ranking One Chemistry Quiz (ROC Quiz) media at class X MIPA in SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Tengah 2016 / 2017 academic year. This research is quasi research experiment. The independent variables are DC Quiz and ROC Quiz media, the dependent variable is the students' learning result and the control variable is the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) cooperative learning methods. The population is all students of class X MIPA at 2016/2017 academic year consisting of 4 classes, and to determine the sample is done by homogeneity test then taken by simple random sampling. The selected sample is the class X MIPA 3 as experiment class I using DC Quiz and class X MIPA 1 as experimental class II using RC Quiz . Data analysis used were mean score, normality test, homogeneity test, and t test. Based on posttest value of both class, it is known that the average value of posttest at experiment class I is 78.79 and at  experiment class II is 84,77. The result of data analysis shows that the data is normally distributed and has homogeneous variance and obtained t count> ttabel (2,47> 2,39). The results of this study indicate that H0 rejected and Ha accepted in other words there is a significant difference between student learning outcomes using DC Quiz media and RC Quiz media.

Abstract

This research was conducted to see the implementation of distance learning during the New Habitual Adaptation (NHA) period of the COVID 19 pandemic. The indicators that will be seen are planning, implementation, problems, and solutions of distance learning. The method used in this research is a qualitative analysis method. The results of this study are(1) Learning planning for NHA mass education units in Kepahiang Regency has prepared related regulations, and an education unit ordinance has been issued related to its implementation. The infrastructure to prevent COVID 19 in the Kepahiang District education unit is also excellent. Therefore, the lesson plan that has been prepared has also been adjusted to the NHA period. (2) The implementation of AKB learning in Kepahiang Regency was actively followed by more than 80% of students, the most widely used learning method was offline distance, and the most widely used media was WhatsApp. (3) Obstacles faced in the learning process of the NHA period in the Kepahiang Regency are the facilities, networks, competencies, and complexity of the student's brain. (4) Solution options offered and carried out are offline distance learning. This research is essential because there are instruments whose indicators are determined according to the objectives achieved.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkanpemahaman/pengetahuan masyarakat tentang banyaknya manfaat yang dikandungdaun sirih dan tanaman jahe sebagai salah satu kekayaan alam Indonesia. Daunsirih dalam kegiatan ini digunakan untuk membuat hand sanitizer alami. Selainpembuatan hand sanitizer alami dalam kegiatan ini juga mengajarkan masyarakatuntuk mengolah tanaman obat keluarga, salah satunya jahe sebagai minumanyang dapat meningkatkan imunitas tubuh. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat inidilakukan dalam bentuk sosialisasi terhadap masyarakat di Kelurahan Taba AnyarRT 001, Kecamatan Lebong Selatan, Kabupaten Lebong, Bengkulu denganmendatangi rumah-rumah warga dan mendatangi pasar. Metode kegiatan yangdigunakan berupa sosialisasi, ceramah tentang materi berikut praktik pembuatanhand sanitizer dan pengolahan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) menjadi serbukdan minuman siap saji. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pemahamanpeserta tentang pembuatan hand sanitizer dari bahan alami beserta fungsinya danpengolahan minuman dari tanaman obat keluarga salah satunya jahe.

Abstract

Orange peel is one of byproduct from the kalamansi syrup industry. Orange peel oil is stored in the oil gland of the skin (flavedo). Orange peel contains cellulose, hemicellulose, pectin and other components. Degradation carried out by biological agents such as bacteria and fungi can increase oil yield. This study aimed to determine the effect of fermentation time and the amount of inoculum on the yield of orange oil. This study consisted of two factors, namely the length of fermentation (2 days, 4 days, 6 days) and the number of inoculums (2.5%, 5%, 7.5%). The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA and DMRT methods. The results showed that the length of fermentation time and the number of inoculums had a significant effect on the increase in yield and had no significant effect on the quality characteristics of the essential oil of kalamansi orange peel. The highest yield was obtained at 4 days fermentation with an inoculum of 7.5%.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of describing the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with multimedia assistance to learning activities and student learning outcomes of class XII MIPA C SMA Negeri 6 Bengkulu City in the Faraday Law submission. This research was conducted in two cycles, with four stages, namely 1) planning, 2) implementation, 3) observation, and 4) reflection. Teachers and all students of class XII MIPA C SMA Negeri 6 Bengkulu City for the academic year 2020/2021 were the subjects in this study, which was conducted on November 19, 2020 to November 27, 2020. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, increased teacher and student activity and results student learning increases with each cycle. Teacher activity has increased by an average of 23 in cycle I and increased to 25.5 in cycle II. The results of the average student activity in the first cycle was 20 and increased to 25 in the second cycle. Likewise with the student's cognitive learning outcomes, which also increased from the first cycle, namely 41.67 to 80.3 in the second cycle. It can be said that the application of the Problem Based Learning model with the assistance of ultimedia in Faraday's Law submission is able to improve learning activities and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The current covid-19 pandemic has an impact on Capita Selecta Chemistry lectures. The difficulty of face-to-face learning in class makes lecturers have to be able to find solutions to these problems. One of the solutions used is the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by the WhatsApp Group (WAG) application and face-to-face through the zoom meeting application.This research is a research pre-experimental research with one-group pretest posttest design, experiments conducted in one class without a comparison class. The research was conducted at a State University in Bengkulu. With the research subjects as many as 24 students who took capita selecta Chemistry course. The instruments used in this study are learning outcomes tests and response questionnaires towards applications that used in learning. Data analysis techniques include average value, normality test, and hypothesis testing using the t-test using SPPS computer program for windows version 23. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes with the implementation of  PjBL model assisted by WhatsApp and Zoom applications with  pretest scores of 66.042, postest scores of 84.625 and the N-gain value data obtained was 0.547 in the moderate category. Student’s response toward the use of  WAG and Zoom Meeting applications was very positive. As many as 91.67% of students considered that WAG application was a very practical application and it was easily accessible to students, especially access to learning materials.
