The objective of this paper is to analyze the short and long run relationship between Islamic financial development and income inequality in Indonesia over the period of 2000-2020. The study has employed the Auto Regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) bound testing approach and the Error Correction Mechanism (ECM) to examine the existence of long-run and short-run relationship, while variance decomposition (VDC) technique is used to provide Granger causal relationship between the variables. The cointegration tests show that there is a long run relationship between Islamic financial development, economic growth, inflation and income inequality in Indonesia. However, Islamic financial development itself is found to be not statistically significant in influencing income inequality during the sample period for long-run. This study found a positive and statistically significant (10%) effect of Islamic financial development in explaining the changes in income inequality in the short run. In terms of policy, enhancing financial access is needed to ensure that financial development fully supports the reduction of income inequality in Indonesia.

Kota Depok membutuhkan inovasi untuk mengembangkan potensi lokal dikarenakan minimnya ruang terbuka hijau. Pengembangan ekowisata di Situ Jatijajar merupakan langkah strategis dalam mencapai pariwisata berkelanjutan di Kota Depok. Penelitian ini membahas pengembangan ekowisata di Situ Jatijajar, Depok, dengan tujuan mencapai pariwisata berkelanjutan yang mengintegrasikan konservasi lingkungan, pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat lokal, serta promosi nilai-nilai budaya dan sejarah. Menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif melalui studi literatur yang menunjukan bahwa Situ Jatijajar memiliki potensi besar sebagai destinasi wisata alam dengan keanekaragaman hayati dan warisan budaya yang kaya. Partisipasi aktif masyarakat lokal dan dukungan kebijakan pemerintah terbukti penting dalam pengembangan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat serta kesadaran dan keterlibatan dalam pelestarian lingkungan. Penelitian ini menemukan adanya tantangan yang dihadapi oleh Situ Jatijajar sebagai ekowisata seperti keterbatasan dana, kurangnya kesadaran lingkungan di kalangan wisatawan, dan tekanan urbanisasi. Penelitian ini menyarankan bahwa perlunya memperkuat kolaborasi antara pemerintah, masyarakat, dan sektor swasta, serta program edukasi dan pelatihan berkelanjutan untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut. Dengan penerapan prinsip-prinsip edukasi, partisipasi masyarakat, dan ekonomi yang tepat, ekowisata di Situ Jatijajar dapat memberikan manfaat jangka panjang yang berkelanjutan, menciptakan hubungan harmonis antara manusia dan alam, serta mempromosikan kesejahteraan sosial dan ekonomi di wilayah Kota Depok, Jawa Barat.

Mental health is an issue that is receiving more attention in Indonesia, especially amidst rapid social and cultural changes. This research explores the role of religious preaching (dakwah) and counseling in addressing societal mental health problems. The method used in this research is literature study. The authors gathers and analyzes various relevant sources, including journal articles, books, and reports from related institutions. The main findings of this research show that dakwah can be an effective tool in increasing awareness and understanding of mental health among the public while counseling based on religious values can provide the emotional and spiritual support needed by individuals experiencing mental health problems. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of collaboration between mental health practitioners and religious leaders to create a holistic approach to addressing mental health issues in Indonesia.

This study aims to examine the thoughts, movements of iṣlāḥ (reform) and tajdīd (renewal) of Abū Ḥāmid al-Ghazālī (d. 1111) and their relevance to the contemporary da‘wah. Based on a descriptively qualitative method and socio-historical approaches, this study shows that Al-Ghazālī prioritized self-reform before societal engagement. Al-Ghazālī emphasized Muslims’ mission to spread Islam and reform society. He identified societal issues, attributing the state of society to the knowledge and credibility of Islamic scholars, and advocated for nurturing new scholars, reforming education, reviving moral values, and promoting social justice. Furthermore, his ideas influenced the emergence of leaders like Ṣalāḥ al-Dīn al-Ayyūbī through educational reforms. In the contemporary context, al-Ghazālī’s thought and movement provide an understanding that the current problems of Muslims need to be resolved from a fundamental problem in the form of “moral reform”. The roles of ‘ulamā’ (scholars) and umarā’ (leaders) are two essential pillars of the ummah (community), and these two aspects must receive necessary attention in Islamic da‘wah.

This research aims to analyze the application of Islamic business ethics in community organization business units and their urgency for the continuity of these business units, based on the perceptions of the actors and consumers, by taking case studies of business units within the DPP Wahdah Islamiyah in Makassar City. This research is field research using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The research results show that Islamic business ethics, in the form of monotheism, justice, trust, and benevolence, have generally been applied to business units within the Wahdah Islamiyah DPP in Makassar City. Apart from that, the Islamic business ethics that have been implemented have great urgency in the management and service of business units, including as a factor that can bring blessings, create a work environment that is fair, inclusive, dignified, and in accordance with Islamic law, increase customer trust, and other parties so as to provide benefits to the company, improve, and provide excellent service to all parties because these ethics can support business management in accordance with company service guidelines, SOPs, and agreed rules. Purpose - This study aims to analyze the effect of The Audit Board of The Republic of Indonesia's audit opinion on Central Government Financial Statement and economic factors on the Government Sharia Securities (sukuk) issuance of Indonesia.Method - The data collected is secondary data obtained from the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), Bank Indonesia, and World Bank. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) technique.Result - The results show that the audit opinion by BPK has a positive and significant influence on the development of sukuk in Indonesia. The inflation rate is found to have a negative effect on sukuk, but not significant. The exchange rate is found to have a positive and significant effect on the issuance of sukuk. Political stability is found to have a negative effect on the development of sukuk, but not significant. Changes in the growth have a negative and significant influence on the issuance of sukuk.Implication - The results provide a recommendation that in addition to maintaining the current Central Government Financial Statement opinion acquisition at the highest level (unqualified), the government needs to maintain the credibility and accountability of State Budget performance which is manifested through macroeconomic variables and other variables that influence the development of government Sharia securities.Originality - This study provides a new perspective on the influence of audit opinions and various economic factors on the issuance of sukuk in Indonesia, using a comprehensive data set covering the period from 2008 to 2022 and employing the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) technique for analysis.

Janji Jiwa merupakan coffee shop paling popular, dan Sumatera Barat sebagai salah satu Provinsi dengan jumlah peminum serta kunjungan coffee shop tertinggi secara nasional. Sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian maka tulisan ini akan membahas mengenai motif-motif konsumsi serta konstruksi gaya hidup konsumerisme di kalangan pengunjung coffee shop Janji Jiwa di Kota Padang. Untuk menganalisis data yang terkumpul peneliti menggunakan perspektif Jean P Baudrillard terkait masyarakat konsumsi. Metode yang digunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan tipe penelitian studi kasus (single case study). Pemilihan informan dilakukan secara purposive sampling dengan jumlah informan 9 orang yang terdiri dari informan pelaku dan informan pengamat. Untuk analisis data, peneliti menggunakan analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman, untuk menjamin validitas dan reliabilitas data maka peneliti melakukan uji triangulasi data. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan adanya pergeseran motif konsumsi dimana konsumsi yang terjadi bukan didasari pada motif-motif pemenuhan kebutuhan biologis, melainkan sebagai bentuk aktualisasi diri dalam rangka signifikansi dan klasifikasi sosial. Terbentuknya pandangan imajiner dan konstruksi gaya hidup konsumerisme tidak terlepas dari hukum kausalitas yang kompleks dan beragam, ditinjau dari aspek nilai tanda, logika sosial konsumsi, ruang sosial, dan media tontonan. Keseluruhan aspek tersebut sarat akan simulasi dan simulasi tersebut diproduksi ulang baik dalam bentuk abstrak maupun konkrit. Fakta ini merupakan bukti irasionalitas masyarakat kontemporer kedalam bentuk perilaku konsumtif.

The development and socio-cultural change of society is inevitable. Many variables become a source of influence within the change. Amongst these variables is human's ideological understandings. The purpose of this study is to reveal the concept by Ibn Taimiyah in understanding and placing Islamic ideology as the foundation for answering socio-cultural change and development in society. The concept was explored through literature studies, while the influence of that concept is examined through of historical study of the origin of Modern Islamic Revival Movement and the establishment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This study aims to identify various opportunities and challenges in conveying Islamic preaching (dakwah) to Gen-Z, as well as formulate effective and relevant dakwah strategies for this demographic. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. The findings indicate that technology and social media offer significant opportunities for dakwah due to their wide accessibility and creative tools for message delivery. Additionally, their curiosity and openness to in-depth learning about global issues present opportunities for comprehensive religious education. However, there are significant challenges, such as distractions from non-religious content, the influence of secularism and materialism, and cultural and value diversity. Effective dakwah strategies include utilizing technology and social media to create creative and engaging content, as well as digital platforms for dakwah dissemination. Consequently, preachers and Islamic organizations need to adapt their dakwah methods to effectively leverage technology and social media, such as producing content that aligns with Gen-Z’s preferences and using platforms they frequent.
