Abstract

The urgency of inclusive policies in a very diverse cross-cultural perspective is a form of follow-up to the implementation of inclusive education that provides equal and equal educational services to all children with diverse cultural backgrounds. The purpose of the inclusion policy study in the cultural perspective of East Java is to find out how the implementation of inclusion policies can represent the cultural diversity that exists in East Java. The implementation of inclusion policies is not only for disabilities, but also the implementation of inclusion policies is able to reach into various aspects of life that are developing in the people of East Java. This literature review aims to summarize how the concept of inclusion policy is in the perspective of East Java culture. The selection of articles started from peer-reviewed research journals at Google Scholar and Z-library. From this search, 14,700 articles were found. Then after screening the articles published from 2010 to 2020 and found 1045 articles. There were 10 articles that were studied and analyzed according to the topic discussed. The analysis technique used is content analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be seen that it is necessary to implement inclusive education policies to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities and individuals. Through formal education in the cultural perspective in East Java, it is expected to be able to overcome the diversity of social and cultural dimensions. The existence of a policy on inclusive education can realize the implementation of public services in the field of education and other fields that respect diversity and is not discriminatory for all individual learners. The implication of the results of this study is guidance and counseling teachers are required to have competence in providing services for children with disabilities.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the differences between the career development of students with disabilities in private and public schools. It applied a comparative method involving 84 special education teachers teaching vocational education at the junior and senior high school levels. Career development was examined through the development perspective using three components: career awareness, exploration, and preparation. The first instrument was used to collect the demographic data, and the second instrument generated the teachers' perception of the career development of students with disability in the special schools. The obtained data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test. Our finding suggested that the career development of students with disabilities in private and public schools was not substantially different. Meanwhile, their career development based on their various disabilities also did not vary significantly. Interestingly, the students with intellectual disabilities presented narrower career development than those with other disabilities, primarily in the career preparation aspect. Our analysis showed that this finding could be caused by more significant hindrances encountered by the students with intellectual disabilities in relation to their self-determination. This research can be used as a basis for providing career services for the career development of students with special needs, both in private and public schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) the preparations made by the campus teaching students in driving student literacy at SDN 1 Pusungmalang Puspo; (2) analysis of the challenges and obstacles of the campus teaching students in acting as implementers of the implementation of the program to improve student literacy at SDN 1 Pusungmalang Puspo; (3) strategies used by the campus teaching students in acting as implementers of the implementation of the program to improve student literacy at SDN 1 Pusungmalang Puspo; (4) the impact of the campus teaching program in improving student literacy at SDN 1 Pusungmalang Puspo. The research approach used is a qualitative method with a case study, the location was implemented at SDN Pusungmalang 1 Puspo Pasuruan, data collection techniques include observation interviews, and field data analysis and documentary studies. The data analysis process includes data collection, data condensation and drawing conclusions using Nvivo 12 pro software. The validity of the research data uses triangulation techniques. This study reveals various findings related to the implementation of the Campus Teaching Program in improving student literacy at SDN Pusungmalang 1 Puspo. Students start with thorough preparation, following training provided by the program, which includes understanding student needs, adjusting learning materials, and using relevant media to support the learning process. However, they face several challenges, such as limited facilities at school, including limited access to books and technology, as well as difficult-to-reach geographical conditions and low student interest in reading.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan: (1) persiapan yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa kampus mengajar dalam menggerakkan literasi siswa di SDN 1 Pusungmalang Puspo; (2) analisis tantangan dan hambatan mahasiswa kampus mengajar dalam berperan sebagai implementator pelaksanaan program peningkatan literasi siswa SDN 1 Pusungmalang Puspo; (3) strategi yang digunakan oleh mahasiswa kampus mengajar dalam berperan sebagai implementator pelaksanaan program peningkatan literasi siswa SDN 1 Pusungmalang Puspo; (4) dampak program kampus mengajar dalam peningkatan literasi siswa di SDN 1 Pusungmalang Puspo.Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan studi kasus, lokasi dilaksanakan di SDN Pusungmalang 1 Puspo Pasuruan, teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi wawancara, dan analisis data lapangan dan studi dokumenter. Proses analisis data meliputi pengumpulan data, kondensasi data dan pengambilan kesimpulanyang menggunakan software Nvivo 12 pro. Keabsahan data penelitian menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan berbagai temuan terkait implementasi Program Kampus Mengajar dalam meningkatkan literasi siswa. Mahasiswa memulai dengan persiapan yang matang, mengikuti pelatihan yang disediakan oleh program, yang meliputi pemahaman kebutuhan siswa, penyesuaian materi pembelajaran, serta penggunaan media yang relevan untuk mendukung proses belajar. Namun, mereka menghadapi beberapa tantangan, seperti keterbatasan fasilitas di sekolah, termasuk akses yang terbatas terhadap buku dan teknologi, serta kondisi geografis yang sulit dijangkau dan rendahnya minat baca siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamic adaptation of stakeholders to Cambridge curriculum-based learning in elementary schools. It explores stakeholder perspectives, challenges, and adaptation strategies in responding to the unique demands of the Cambridge-based curriculum. The Cambridge curriculum is known for its international approach, emphasizing critical thinking and students' analytical skills. However, its success depends on the effectiveness of learning management in schools. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection techniques include observation and interviews, with data sources obtained from the vice principal of the curriculum section (internal stakeholder) and parents (external stakeholders). The results indicate that implementing the Cambridge curriculum presents challenges for both teachers and students. These challenges must be minimized through strategies applied in schools. Important factors in implementation include framework surgery with combining local and global contexts in learning, granting teacher flexibility in lesson management, conducting supervision, and implementing the English Habits program. This program encourages all school members, especially students, to use English in daily school activities. From these findings, recommendations focus on improving school management and enhancing teacher professionalism. Strengthening teacher training, optimizing curriculum planning, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders are crucial for more effective Cambridge curriculum implementation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe (1) the essence of instructional leadership in change management in educational institutions and (2) the change process in an elementary school during the unfreezing, movement, and refreezing stages to enhance the teaching capabilities of a teacher at SD Negeri Wonokerto 04. The research method used is qualitative, using a phenomenological approach with a case study design at SD Negeri Wonokerto 04, Malang Regency. The data were collected using three techniques: in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentary study. The analysis technique used is single-case analysis. To ensure data validity, the researcher performed triangulation, member checking, prolonged observation, and reference material adequacy activities. The results of this study indicate that instructional leadership plays a role as a controller in the change process. The micro-educational institution's change process in enhancing the teaching capabilities of teachers follows Kurt Lewin's change model, which consists of three phases: a) the unfreezing process using symposiums and "Kultin" (Routine Spiritual Sessions); b) the movement process using a workshop and the formation of an assistant team consisting of fresh graduate teachers; and c) the refreezing process carried out through collaborative workshops with SD Negeri Wonokerto 01 and the initiation of meta-learning.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan tentang: (1) esensi instructional leadership dalam manajemen perubahan pada lembaga pendidikan; (2) proses perubahan sebuah SD saat proses unfreezing, movement dan refreezing dalam peningkatan kapabilitas mengajar seorang guru SDN Wonokerto 04. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif melalui pendekatan fenomenologi dengan rancangan studi kasus di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Wonokerto 04, Kabupaten Malang. Data yang dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan 3 teknik, yaitu: wawancara mendalam, observasi peran serta, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis kasus tunggal. Untuk memperoleh keabsahaan data, peneliti melakukan kegiatan triangulasi, pengecekan anggota, ketekunan pengamatan, dan kecukupan bahan referensi. Hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah instructional leadership mengambil peran sebagai pengendali proses perubahan dan proses perubahan sebuah lembaga mikro pendidikan dalam peningkatan kapabilitas mengajar guru yang mengacu pada teori perubahan model Kurt Lewin yang terdiri dari tiga fase, yaitu a) proses unfreezing menggunakan simposium dan Kultin (Kultum Rutin); b) proses movement menggunakan sebuah workshop dan pembentukan tim pembantu dari guru fresh graduate; dan c) proses refreezing dilaksanakan dengan workshop kolaborasi bersama SD Negeri Wonokerto 01 dan inisiasi meta learning

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Discrete Trial Training (DTT) intervention in restoring expressive language abilities in a child diagnosed with Childhood Disintegrative Disorder (CDD), a rare neurodevelopmental condition. Recalling language behavior in children with CDD is essential to understanding regression and potential recovery mechanisms. A single-subject experimental method using an A1-B-A2 design was applied, involving three phases: initial baseline (A1), intervention (B), and follow-up baseline (A2). The subject was a 5-year-old child who experienced severe language and behavioral regression. Language skills were assessed through observation sessions and analyzed descriptively using intra- and inter-condition comparisons. The intervention phase consisted of ten DTT sessions focusing on attention, matching, identification, imitation, and labeling skills. The findings demonstrated positive, consistent improvements in expressive language behavior, with trends showing increased scores and stable performance across phases. Notably, the overlap in data between conditions was 0%, indicating a high level of intervention effectiveness. The results also showed behavioral generalization post-intervention, with increased engagement and adaptive functioning. This study concludes that DTT is an effective intervention for recalling expressive language skills in children with CDD. The improvement was marked not only by the return of verbal abilities but also by gains in behavioral regulation and social interaction. Further research involving larger populations and long-term monitoring is recommended to generalize findings and enhance intervention strategies for CDD.

Abstract

Getaran yang terjadi di jalan raya merupakan salah satu dampak yang disebabkan oleh kenaikan jumlah kendaraan berat dan kondisi jalan yang semakin memburuk, sehingga menyebabkan kerusakan bangunan yang ada di sekitar jalan (Osama Unaidi, 2008). Penelitian yang mengkaji hubungan antara kerusakan bangunan dengan intensitas getaran di jalan raya sudah banyak dilakukan, namun demikian kajian yang secara spesifik melihat hubungan intensitas getaran pada akses jalan menuju areal pabrik (gudang) belum banyak dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui besarnya getaran yang dihasilkan oleh truk tronton dan dampaknya terhadap kerusakan bangunan. Untuk menjawab tujuan tersebut, metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah uji coba semi lapangan terhadap getaran yang bersumber dari truk tronton 30 ton yang divariasikan dengan jarak (50 cm dan 100 cm dari sumber getaran). Metode pengukuran mengacu pada INSTRUCTION MANUAL VIBRATION LEVEL METER, yang dihasilkan kemudian dievaluasi berdasarkan KEPMEN LH 49/MENLH/II/1996. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa getaran yang diukur pada jarak 50 cm masuk dalam katagori B, sedangkan pada jarak 100 cm masuk dalam katagori A. Berdasarkan KEPEMN LH 49/MENLH/II/1996, Katagori B (pada frekuensi alat 31,5 Hz) menunjukkan kemungkinan adanya keretakan atau terlepas plesteran pada dinding pemikul beban dan untuk katagori A (frekuensi alat 31,5 HZ) menunjukkan tidak adanya kerusakan pada bangunan. Kondisi ini bisa berubah apabila jumlah, beban dan kecepatan kendaraan yang terjadi lebih besar (seperti halnya di jalan arteri). Tingkat kerusakan bangunan yang ada akan berbeda, bahkan bisa jadi akan menimbulkan kerusakan yang lebih besar.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pengurus Pondok Pesantren Ngalah dalam menangani santri berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) melalui pendekatan pendidikan inklusi. Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah kurangnya pemahaman dan keterampilan pengurus dalam menyusun strategi pembelajaran yang responsif terhadap keberagaman kebutuhan santri. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui metode community development yang mencakup workshop pendidikan inklusi, pelatihan penyusunan RPP, parenting untuk orang tua santri ABK, serta pendampingan secara berkala. Sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan, dilakukan pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengurus. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman konsep pendidikan inklusi, kemampuan asesmen ABK, serta pengembangan sarana dan media pembelajaran yang ramah inklusi. Data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 61 santri inklusi dari total 5.115 santri yang tersebar di berbagai asrama. Program ini berhasil membangun kesadaran dan kesiapan institusi dalam menyelenggarakan pendidikan inklusi secara lebih sistematis dan manusiawi. Keberlanjutan kegiatan ini direncanakan melalui publikasi artikel ilmiah dan pendampingan lanjutan sebagai bagian dari penguatan kelembagaan pesantren inklusi.

Abstract

This study examines the strategies for strengthening students' character education through school culture at SDIT Ahmad Yani in Kota Malang and SDN Langdungsari 01 in Kabupaten Malang. Character education is implemented by integrating Islamic values and national culture through programs such as congregational prayers, joint prayers, flag ceremonies, and national day celebrations. The objective of these programs is to cultivate students with noble character, national awareness, and preparedness for global challenges with a strong national identity. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Findings reveal that SDIT Ahmad Yani applies Islamic character education through routine practices like dhuha and congregational prayers and extracurricular activities related to the Qur'an, which strengthen students' moral and spiritual foundations and support the development of noble character according to the concept of ulul albab. At SDN Langdungsari 01, national character education is implemented through flag ceremonies, singing national songs, and introducing national history, fostering a sense of patriotism and appreciation for Indonesia’s cultural diversity. Both schools integrate Islamic and national values to create outstanding students with strong character and national consciousness, demonstrating that character education programs through school culture effectively develop intelligent, morally upright students with a robust national identity.
