Abstract

This research investigates network security and the Internet of Things in smart cities, focusing on their vulnerability to cyber threats due to advanced technologies and widespread connectivity. The aim is to address current security challenges and develop a security vision for a sustainable smart city future. The research method involves bibliometric analysis of 517 documents from the Scopus database using the VOSviewer analysis tool and CiteSpace for network visualization analysis. The findings show increased research on network security and IoT in smart cities, focusing on operational sustainability and data security. Integrating technologies like big data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning is crucial in addressing these complex challenges. The research emphasizes the importance of network security in maintaining data integrity and confidentiality in smart cities and the integration of IoT technologies in decision-making. Recommendations include developing advanced security techniques, integrating big data and sustainability, crisis monitoring, and blockchain exploration. Further research is expected to improve network security and IoT implementation, contributing to efficiency, convenience, and quality of life in an increasingly connected urban society.

This study takes the case of the Mount Merapi Eruption Disaster Management in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Whereas the method used in this research is qualitative-descriptive collected through journals, books, and important documents related to the eruption management of Mount Merapi eruption. The findings in this study indicate that after the eruption in 2010 grew disaster-aware communities. That is, social resilience in disaster preparedness in the face of Merapi eruption can be done by forming a disaster response community that organizes young people to be involved in disaster response. The community was formed because of the principles of humanity and volunteering. Besides this community was formed because of social cohesion, trust, and solidarity. In addition, this community was formed because of an active group in creating a network or a mass base so as to have a positive impact on the actual information to the local community. empowerment and political action are also separated from the formation of this disaster response community such as support from the government and all relevant stakeholders in providing training and empowerment to local communities. this collaboration is needed so that disaster is more systematic and planned.

Abstract

The electoral system influences various other systems such as party systems and government systems. It also affects the psychology of voters (constituents). An open proportional system encourages a high electoral violations and also encourage candidates to compete in mobilizing mass support for their victory. The efforts to seek mass votes are carried out in a pragmatic way, mobilizing the masses by forming a network team and equipping them with some money or other items. An open proportional system impacts election violations in Bantul Regency. It can be seen from the data Bawaslu of Yogyakarta Province. Bantul Regency received the title with the highest election violations in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Many things cause this to happen, one of the biggest causes is the open proportional system and also Bantul Regency received the title of highest voter turnout in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Of course this is inseparable from the application of an open proportional system. However, this high participation rate is being debated by many parties because the high number is due to the role of political actors who act pragmatically to mobilize voters to come to the polling stations. This research uses a qualitative approach and analysis carried out using Nvivo 12 plus software. The purpose of this research are to determine the perception of election organizers and political actors to open proportional system. The results of this research are the perception of election organizers and the major political actors assume an open proportional system have a negative impact. This negative impact caused by the proportional system which resulted in a fairly high political pragmatism that has implications for the high electoral violations in Bantul and open proportional system also makes the quality of the public considered to be bad in the election event. Furthermore, the attitude of the election organizers and the majority of political actors answered that they did not agree with the open proportional system that was still used in Indonesian elections.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has represented a risk to human life. “What is the role of religion in disaster risk governance” is a critical question for Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) in times of crisis. As a religious observance form, FBOs must correlate sacred religious doctrines with practical problems of human life and build sustainable actions in disaster governance. This study seeks to examine further the significance of religion-based organizations in the agenda for handling the adverse effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. This paper uses qualitative research methods with NVivo 12 Plus as a data processing tool. The results of this study indicate that in emergency response, recovery, prevention, and preparedness, FBOs in Indonesia are integrated and encourage interfaith collaboration in handling the COVID-19 pandemic. The FBOs demonstrate the ability to collaborate across non-state sectors and play a multidimensional role. Through the sacred doctrine of religion, FBO mobilizes its members to comply with government policies and participate in efforts to mitigate the adverse effects of the covid 19 pandemic. Thus, maslahah, also known as the objectives of sharia, is an essential Islamic law principle that encourages Islamic organizations to engage in disaster risk governance efforts during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze public policy on online loan issues in Indonesia over the last five years’ edition. There were 22,986 complaints from the public regarding online loans until August 2021, so this research chose online loans in Indonesia. To find out, the researchers reviewed 65 news from Indonesian online media related to online loans from the 2016 to 2021 editions. This research used a Qualitative Data Analysis Software approach (QDAS) to study news reviews in Indonesian online media. This research data analysis projection used the Nvivo 12 plus tool with the NCapture feature. The data analysis showed that fintech could only be given material criminal sanctions. Material losses based on complaints must be losses from cases reported by the community—material criminal sanctions for terror and intimidation closely related to public complaints. The research findings showed that the law on fintech was fundamental, and the contents of one of its articles must contain illegal fintech, which can be subject to criminal sanctions without complaint or formal. The government must reform regulations and create new businesses so that a law on the digital financial services sector is formed immediately, also the ratification of the draft personal data protection law to protect citizens. Data protection is significant because it protects victim data often exploited by illegal fintech.
