Abstract

This research uses a combination research method (mixed method). The population in this study were all fourth grade students totaling 28 students. The research sample for this quantitative method took all students and for the qualitative method took 3 students as research subjects. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The data analysis technique used in quantitative method research is using percentages and in qualitative methods using the Miles and Huberman model data analysis technique. The application of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach can improve students' critical thinking skills. From the results of the analysis, as many as 19 students or 67% of fourth grade students of SD Negeri Gayamsari 02 got the ability criteria (critical thinking).

Abstract

The Minimum Competency Assessment is an assessment of the fundamental competencies required by all students to develop their own capacity and participate actively in society. The competency domain in AKM is structured around three abilities, namely determining, understanding and reflecting, with questions presented in the form of multiple choice, complex multiple choice, matching, short essay and description. There are two basic competencies measured in the AKM program, namely reading literacy and mathematics literacy ( numeracy). The aim of this research is to see how prepared students are for the minimum competency assessment (AKM) in elementary schools. The type of research used is qualitative research. The research instruments are in the form of questionnaires and interviews. The results of the research showed that 61 students (54.5%) strongly agreed with the readiness for the minimum competency assessment of 112 students in elementary schools. Furthermore, 40 students (35.7%) agreed. And regarding readiness in solving questions, 28 students (25%) strongly agreed. Furthermore, 82 students (73.2%) agreed. So based on the data above, it can be understood that students' readiness for the minimum competency assessment in elementary schools is classified as Very Ready Keywords: AKM, Literacy, Numeracy, Readiness

Abstract

ABSTRACT During offline learning, teachers and students face problems and obstacles, namely teachers do not understand students' needs, lack of developing learning media to support students in learning which causes students to not understand the material presented, students have difficulty with learning Mathematics, namely memorizing multiplication, teachers do not use methods and models. varied learning. This research aims to analyze the need for media used to support memorizing multiplication. This research was a qualitative descriptive study conducted at SDN Rakitan, Sluke District, Rembang Regency. Data collection used was interviews and observation. Based on the results of interviews and observations, it is known that students have difficulty understanding and memorizing multiplication. Apart from that, teachers still have not found a learning design that suits the characteristics and needs of students. The results of interviews and observations with class IV students and teachers showed that 75% of students did not like and had difficulty understanding and memorizing multiplication. Meanwhile, in interviews and observations of teachers, it was found that there were students who did not memorize multiplication at all, they couldn't even do multiplication by 2. Based on the results of the analysis of learning media needs, it can be seen that teachers and students need learning media to memorize multiplication to support mathematics learning.

Abstract

Abstract, The background that drives this research is that students still experience difficulties in understanding their learning styles, each student has a different learning style, in fact each student learns with a different style for each lesson. The focus of the problem in this research is the learning style used by class VI students at SD Negeri 3 Wonokerto. The aim of this research is to determine the learning styles used by fifth grade students at SD Negeri 3 Wonokerto. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. This research was obtained through data sources including class VI teachers and 8 class VI students as samples for this research. Data collection procedures were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The research results show that class VI students at SD Negeri 3 Wonokerto do not only use one learning style, they also use a combination of two other learning styles. This shows that the eight students use or have varied learning styles with a tendency for different learning style modalities between the three learning style modalities, visual, auditory and kinesthetic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripsi kesulitan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah SPLDV ditinjau dari gaya kognitif reflektif dan impulsif pada masa pandemi covid-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di SMP N 2 Warungpring tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII dengan gaya kognitif reflektif dan impulsif. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket gaya kognitif yaitu Matching Familiar Figure Test (MFFT) yang dikembagkan oleh Warli, tes pemecahan masalah SPLDV dan pedoman wawancara.. Pengecekan keabsahan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi waktu. Hasil penelitian ini siswa dengan gaya kognitif impulsif cenderung banyak memiliki kesulitan dibandingkan siswa dengan gaya kognitif reflektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari self confidence siswa pada materi turunan. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan di SMA N 10 Semarang. Subjek penelitian ini 6 siswa dari kelas XII MIPA 1 SMA N 10 Semarang. Instrumen dalam kemampuan ini berupa angket/kuesioner, soal tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis, dan pedoman wawancara. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Data hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa profil kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari self confidence dengan tingkat tinggi, siswa mampu memenuhi semua indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Profil kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari self confidence dengan tingkat sedang, siswa mampu memenuhi empat indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Profil kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari self confidence dengan tingkat rendah, siswa hanya mampu memenuhi dua indikator saja.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan kesalahan siswa dalam penyelesaian masalah matematika berdasarkan Newman’s Error Analysis (NEA) ditinjau dari kemampuan koneksi matematis tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Binangun. Subjek pada penelitian ini 6 siswa, 2 siswa dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis tinggi, 2 siswa dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis sedang dan 2 siswa dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis rendah yang diambil dari kelas X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Binangun. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Untuk memperoleh data dilakukan tes kemampuan koneksi matematis dan tes penyelesaian masalah matematika dengan tahapan Newman berupa soal uraian materi eksponensial kemudian dilakuakn wawancara terhadap subjek. Identifikasi kesalahan siswa berdasarkan Newman diklasifikasikan kedalam 5 jenis yaitu kesalahan membaca (decoding), kesalahan memahami masalah (comprehension), kesalahan transformasi (transformation), kesalahan kemampuan memproses (process skill), kesalahan penulisan jawaban (encoding). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis tinggi melakukan kesalahan membaca dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban. Siswa dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis sedang melakukan kesalahan kemampuan memproses dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban. Sementara untuk siswa dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis rendah melakukan kesalahan membaca, kesalahan kemampuan memproses dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban.

Abstract

Pendidikan memainkan peran krusial dalam pembentukan masyarakat yang maju dan berkelanjutan, di mana salah satu aspek utamanya adalah menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang merangsang dan memotivasi siswa untuk belajar. Motivasi belajar menjadi faktor penting dalam menentukan efektivitas proses pembelajaran dan pencapaian akademis siswa. Namun, rendahnya motivasi belajar, terutama pada siswa SD, menjadi tantangan yang masih dihadapi oleh sebagian besar lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisi kesenjangan pengetahuan tentang penggunaan Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berbasis media Papan Pintar dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas 1 SD. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan dua siklus pembelajaran di kelas 1B SDN Pedurungan Kidul 01 Kota Semarang. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media Papan Pintar dalam pembelajaran efektif meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Siklus pertama menunjukkan rendahnya motivasi dan hasil belajar, tetapi setelah menerapkan PBL berbasis Papan Pintar pada siklus kedua, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan dalam motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan media Papan Pintar dalam pembelajaran dapat membawa dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar dan pencapaian akademis siswa. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengintegrasikan penggunaan media Papan Pintar dalam strategi pembelajaran di kelas 1 SD, dengan fokus pada keterlibatan siswa dan pemanfaatan media yang menarik. Dengan demikian, diharapkan pembelajaran dapat menjadi lebih bermakna dan efektif bagi siswa di tingkat pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

This research addresses the issue of the lack of ideal and enjoyable learning for early childhood, which can impact the underdeveloped and suboptimal cognitive abilities of children. The aim of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of using the STEAM model with the assistance of Loose Parts media in improving the cognitive abilities of early childhood. The research method employed is quasi-experimental, with the sampling technique involving all students from TK Pertiwi 08.03 Nalumsari classes B1 and B2. Data analysis involves descriptive analysis and an independent sample t-test. The results indicate that the STEAM model with the assistance of natural Loose Parts media has a positive impact on the cognitive abilities of early childhood. The experimental group, which received learning with this model, showed a significant improvement in cognitive abilities compared to the control group. The t-test statistic yielded a value of t = 15.555 > t-table = 2.030, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Thus, it can be concluded that the STEAM model with the assistance of natural Loose Parts media is effective in improving the cognitive abilities of early childhood.

Abstract

Mastery of information technology has become the "lifestyle" of most people, especially the younger generation. Along with the shift of the world order from the traditional realm to the digital realm, the development of information and communication technology has also penetrated into the field of education. This study aims to determine that kahoot media can improve students' critical reasoning on PPKn learning in elementary school teachers, Tamansari District, Boyolali Regency. The research method uses a qualitative approach based on the philosophy of postpositivism. The population survey of this study was 12 teachers and 34 students consisting of 8 schools, and interviews of elementary school teachers. The results prove that kahoot media learning using methods, presentations and practicums is highly favored by teachers, on the one hand different in portraying online learning. Being enthusiastic and challenged, in the end these teachers will apply in their respective schools. This proves that kahoot media can improve students' critical reasoning in PPKn learning with a percentage of 37% very good and 62% choosing good. However, the infrastructure at the training site needs to be improved and improved to support the online learning process like this.
