Abstract

This study investigates the effect of applying Deep Learning assisted by Spedomatik Media on improving collaborative skills and critical thinking among elementary school students. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of 25 second-grade students from SDN 1 Sumberagung. Data were collected using pretests, posttests, observational checklists, and collaboration skills questionnaires. The results showed significant improvements in both collaborative skills and critical thinking after the intervention. The classical learning completeness increased from 0% to 80%, indicating the effectiveness of Deep Learning in enhancing student engagement and collaboration. The regression analysis indicated that Deep Learning contributed significantly to the improvement of both skills, with a 49.9% increase in collaborative skills and a 60.4% increase in critical thinking skills. The Manova test further confirmed the simultaneous effect of Deep Learning on both skills. These findings suggest that the integration of Spedomatik Media into Deep Learning strategies fosters a more interactive and effective learning environment, thereby enhancing students' ability to collaborate and think critically. The study highlights the potential of this approach for future educational practices in elementary schools.

Abstract

Learning media is something that acts as an intermediary between the provider of information (teachers) to the recipients of information (students) with the aim of providing a stimulus to students so that they are motivated and can follow the learning process as a whole and meaningfully. Flipbook media is a combination of text, animation, sound, video, and so on. Flipbook in accordance with current curriculum developments. This is due to the emphasis on science lessons on modern pedagogic dimensions in learning. This study aims to describe the use of flipbooks in science learning using the PBL model with the SETS approach. This type of research includes qualitative descriptive research. The use of appropriate learning media, models and approaches can optimize students' understanding in learning. The research results of learning objectives can be achieved because it is supported by the use of learning media. In order for learning to run effectively and efficiently, the selection of learning media must be arranged appropriately and in accordance with the needs of students so that learning objectives can be achieved.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the observed low ability of students to solve mathematical problems effectively. To address this issue, the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach, which adapts instruction based on students’ current learning levels, was applied in combination with web-assisted learning tools to enhance engagement and accessibility. The web-assisted TaRL approach integrates adaptive teaching with online materials such as concept maps, interactive videos, and assessments tailored to student needs. The study aimed to evaluate the effect of this approach on students’ mathematical problem-solving skills. Using a posttest-only control group design, 70 students were purposively sampled and divided into an experimental group (34 students) receiving the web-assisted TaRL intervention, and a control group (36 students) undergoing conventional learning. The assessment consisted of three validated descriptive questions measuring problem-solving ability. Results showed that the experimental group achieved a higher average score (82.45) compared to the control group (65.65). Both groups met assumptions of normality and homogeneity, confirming the appropriateness of parametric testing. The independent samples t-test revealed a statistically significant improvement (p < 0.05) in the experimental group’s problem-solving skills. While these findings support the effectiveness of the web-assisted TaRL approach, limitations include the relatively small sample size and short intervention duration. Future research should consider larger, more diverse populations and explore long-term effects to strengthen generalizability and further optimize the integration of technology in adaptive learning.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the overall effectiveness of AR-supported STEAM based Project Based Learning (PjBL) in improving students’ numeracy skills through a comprehensive synthesis of empirical research. Method: A quantitative meta-analysis was conducted to aggregate findings from 25 national and international experimental and quasi-experimental studies published between 2019 and 2025. Eligible studies were selected using predefined inclusion criteria focusing on interventions combining PjBL, STEAM, and Augmented Reality in mathematics learning contexts. Effect sizes were computed using Cohen’s d and analyzed under a random effects model to account for variability across studies. Findings: The analysis produced a pooled effect size of 0.85, which falls within the high-impact category. These findings indicate that AR-supported STEAM PjBL consistently yields stronger numeracy outcomes compared to conventional instructional approaches. The integration of immersive Augmented Reality visualization within contextualized STEAM projects appears to support conceptual clarity, particularly in abstract mathematical topics, while simultaneously fostering active engagement and meaningful learning experiences. Significance: This study provides consolidated empirical evidence supporting the pedagogical potential of AR-integrated STEAM project learning in mathematics education. The results offer evidence-based implications for educators, curriculum developers, and policymakers seeking scalable strategies to strengthen numeracy literacy in technology-enhanced learning environments.

Abstract

Purposes: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi terkait media pembelajaran benbantuana teknologi abad 21 yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Method: Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam studi ini yaitu pendekatan kualitatif yang menggabungkan design thinking dan meta-analysis dengan tahapan sebagai berikut: (1) empethyze, (2) define, mencakup persona pengguna dan analisis "HMW"; (3) ideat, melibatkan brainstorming dan mind mapping ide-ide kemudian didukung lebih lanjut oleh meta-analisis. Populasi penelitian ini berasal dari 3 sekolah yaitu SMP N 6 Petarukan, SMP N 2 Kedungwuni dan SMP PGRI 3 Taman. Responden sebanyak 96 peserta didik dan responden guru sebanyak 5 Guru matematika. Pengambilan data menggunakan 3 instrumen, yaitu: (1) Observasi; (2) Angket; (3) Wawancara yang sudah divalidasi ahli. Findings: Berdasarkan hasil meta-analysis terhadap 6 penelitian, nilai estimasi pooled effect adalah 0,551, termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Prediction Interval menunjukan rentan nilai -0,238 sampai 1,340 yang menunjukan hasil meta-analysis yang positif dan stabil diterapkan di konteks lain. Significance: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa solusi yang diajukan memberikan pengaruh positif apabila diterapkan pada penelitian di masa mendatang.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of interactive learning using Deep Learning integrated with Spedomatik Media on enhancing critical thinking skills in elementary school students. The research was conducted with second-grade students at SDN 1 Sumberagung, utilizing a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest method. The findings revealed that the implementation of Deep Learning with Spedomatik Media significantly improved students' critical thinking skills. Pretest results showed that none of the students met the minimum competency criteria (KKTP), while posttest results indicated an 80% pass rate. Statistical analysis, including t-tests and regression analysis, demonstrated that the approach contributed 60.4% to the improvement of students' critical thinking abilities. Furthermore, the study found that the application of this approach fostered active participation, reflection, and collaborative learning, which are essential for critical thinking development. The results of this research suggest that interactive learning strategies, such as Deep Learning with Spedomatik Media, are effective tools in enhancing critical thinking skills and should be incorporated into elementary education to meet the demands of 21st-century learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa rendah yang ditandai diantaranya kesulitan memahami informasi, menganalisis, mengevaluasi, serta mengaitkan konsep abstrak dengan konteks nyata. Kondisi ini menegaskan perlunya strategi media pembelajaran inovatif berorientasi pada kebutuhan siswa dan guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media Jejak Timur berbasis Cagar Budaya SMAN 1 Semarang dan menguji efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation) terintegrasi dengan pendekatan Design Thinking (Emphatize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test). Penelitian ini melibatkan 90 siswa  dan 8 guru matematika dari SMAN 1, SMAN 5 dan SMAN 14 sebagai responden kebutuhan siswa dan guru. Selanjutnya penelitian difokuskan di SMAN 1 Semarang kelas X.04 sebagai eksperimen dan kelas X.05 sebagai kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes. Efektivitas produk diukur melalui tes kemampuan berpikir kritis yang kemudian dianalisis dengan ui t. Hasil penelitian pengembangan media jejak timur sebagai berikut: (1) hasil uji validasi didapatkan rata-rata kelayakan seluruh aspek media lebih dari 90%, dinilai sangat valid; (2) hasil uji kepraktisan sebesar 89,25% dengan kategori sangat praktis; (3) hasil uji efektivitas media dengan analisis uji-t dua pihak memperlihatkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 77,22 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 70,36. Untuk nilai uji t dengan Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,044 < 0,05. Uji N-Gain rata-rata peningkatan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,61. Dengan demikian media Jejak Timur berbasis cagar budaya SMAN 1 Semarang dapat meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Pemecahan masalah matriks menghadirkan hambatan epistemologis signifikan dalam pendidikan matematika, terutama saat siswa beralih dari konteks nyata ke model formal. Instrumen pembelajaran yang ada kerap dikembangkan berdasarkan intuisi perancang, sehingga validitas empirisnya terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan memvalidasi kerangka hibrida MEAR-MOS (Matrix Nearpod–Desmos) yang mengintegrasikan meta-analisis ke dalam fase Ideasi Design Thinking, sehingga desain instruksional berbasis bukti dapat dihasilkan. Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada kebutuhan mendesak untuk menjembatani kesenjangan antara abstraksi konseptual siswa dan keterbatasan pedagogis guru, yang selama ini menghambat efektivitas pembelajaran matriks di kelas. Analisis diagnostik terhadap 70 siswa dan 9 guru menyoroti kesenjangan instrumental: belum tersedia media tervalidasi yang menggabungkan visualisasi dinamis dengan manajemen kelas terstruktur. Untuk menjawab hal ini, meta-analisis atas 12 studi utama (2020–2025) dilakukan, menghasilkan ukuran efek gabungan besar (g = 0.940, p < 0.001). Heterogenitas tinggi (I² = 90%) justru membuka ruang identifikasi moderator pedagogis, seperti scaffolding adaptif dan visualisasi geometris, yang kemudian disintesis ke dalam prototipe. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa integrasi meta-analisis dalam Design Thinking meningkatkan ketelitian metodologis dalam menjembatani hambatan epistemologis, sekaligus menyediakan model instruksional adaptif yang tervalidasi untuk kelas matematika abad ke-21.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out that the problem-based learning method on audio-visual media can improve the learning outcomes of class VI students at SD Negeri Pandean Lamper 04. Information on the material being taught is obtained from tests at the end of each cycle. Meanwhile, with the help of the observation form at PPL I, information was obtained about student performance and the process of implementing teacher learning. The results showed that learning through a problem-based learning model or Problem Based Learning with audio-visual media can improve student learning outcomes. The average percentage value of students in the pre-cycle period was 40% and in the first cycle period it increased to 65% for the completeness score and 85% for cycle II. From the results of this study it can be concluded that by applying the Problem Based Learning learning model can improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

Background: Students with intellectual disabilities often experience difficulties in learning mathematics due to limitations in working memory, challenges in processing abstract symbols, and the limited availability of adaptive learning media in special education settings. In many special schools, mathematics instruction still relies on static physical manipulatives that provide limited opportunities to connect abstract mathematical ideas with meaningful learning experiences. Aims: This study aims to propose a conceptual design framework called School ARventure, a gamified Augmented Reality mathematics learning environment integrated with a three-dimensional school model to support contextual mathematics learning for students with intellectual disabilities. Method: This research employed a qualitative design guided by the Design Thinking framework, focusing on the stages of Empathize, Define, and Ideate. Data were collected through classroom observations, questionnaires, and semi structured interviews involving teachers and students from three special education schools. The instruments were validated by experts, and the data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify learning barriers, user needs, and design requirements. Results: The study produced an initial design framework addressing three main needs: concrete visualization of numerical quantities, reduced motor demands in measurement activities, and simplified representation of mathematical word problems. Three AR based features were conceptualized: AR Counting Adventure, AR Length Virtual Ruler, and Animated Story Quest, integrated with a physical school model as a contextual anchor. Conclusion: The findings present School ARventure as a Design Thinking based framework for gamified Augmented Reality mathematics learning for students with intellectual disabilities and provide a foundation for future prototype development and empirical evaluation.
