Abstract

Social dysfunction is a manifestation of symptoms of schizophrenia which is characterized by decreased social functioning. One of the modality therapies that can be done to improve the socialization ability is social skills interventions in the form of repeatedly and gradually socialization exercises in patients. This article aimed to explore the using virtual reality for improving social skills of  patients with  schizophrenia. Literature review used in this study reviewed journals collected  from  Clinical Key, EBSCO, ProQuest and  Scopus since 2007-2019. Literature study in this scientific paper shows the result that using virtual reality in schizophrenia  patient need to  be  applied  to  improve his/her social skills, though the method that already done in conventional way. Virtual reality   is   one   of   methodes   that can be used  to improve social skills of schizophrenia patients. Keyword: Social Skills, Virtual Reality, Schizoprenia

Abstract

Background: Patient Safety is a global issue that has received worldwide attention which is caused by patient safety incidents such as medical errors, medication errors, surgical procedure errors, risk of falls, ineffective communication resulting in death. To realize the quality of health services and improve patient safety, interprofessional collaboration is able to provide better care and reduce the number of patient safety incidents. Aim: To find an effective Interprofessional Collaboration Model in Efforts to Improve Patient Safety. Method: We conducted a systematic review from 2010 to 2020. Data was collected from five databases (google scholar, PMC, PubMed, Scopus, and Science Direct) with a total search result of 50,371 articles. The inclusion criteria were a focus on interprofessional collaboration in the hospital consisting of doctors, nurses, analysts, nutritionists, pharmacists, and other PPAs using the keyword “Interprofessional collaboration and patient safety”. Results: TeamSTEPPS and CRM is able to influence patient safety improvement. Conclusions: Twelve types of intervention modifications were reported according to the inclusion criteria, but in general interprofessional collaboration with Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety (TeamSTEPPS) and Crew Resource Management (CRM) has an effect on improving patient safety effectively, able to improve the quality of care, reduce the rate of complications and errors, reduce length of care and reduce mortalityKeyword:  Interprofessional collaboration, Patient safety, Interprofessional collaboration model

Abstract

One of patient-centered-cared domaind can be done by listen to the patients voices about the servicesprovided and motivate patients to actively involved in the treatment process. Patient involvement methods:patient feedback and Speak-up education are methods that can be applied in hospitals. This study aims toimplement the development of patient imvolvement methods:patient feedback and Speak-up education. Themethod used was a pilot study of 57 nurses using observation sheets of the patient feedback process andSpeak-up consisting of 17 items. The study begin with problem identification, fishbone analysis,implementation and evaluation. Implementation consisted of making guides, SPO, forms, and role-playvideos. The results of the study showed that the patient feedback method and Speak-up were performed withan achievement of 69.42%. Conclusion: the success of the patient involvement process was influenced bythe willingness of the organization and staff to listen to the patients voice, readiness to change, supportiveresources, and support of nurses, nurse managers and management. Recommendation: this study is thebasis for the application of new methods of involving patients in the hospital

Abstract

Holistic nursing care is care that should be given by a nurse. However, it is known that nurses have missed oneof several activities in nursing care. This study aims to describe the implementation of nursing care in theinpatient ward A Military Hospital in Jakarta. The method used is a pilot study through 23 medical recorddocuments, observations, and interviews with patients and families. The stage begins with the initialassessment, fishbone analysis, PDSA (Plan, Do, Study, Action), implementation and evaluation. Theimplementation is in the form of SPO drafting and form optimization, outreach, mentoring, and roleplay videos.The results of the study showed there was improvement in the process of evaluating nursing care reaching78.26%. While nursing actions showed a significant increase in meeting bathing needs reaching 75%, ROMreaching 70%, sitting in a wheelchair, and dangling reaching 100%. Success is influenced by materialresources in the form of SPO and support and the role of the nurse manager. The recommendations of thisstudy can be the basis for optimizing the implementation of nursing care in hospitals.

Abstract

The quality of nursing documentation demonstrates the accountability of nurses in providing nursing care topatients. However, the implementation of nursing documentation at hospital X is 58% still below thestandard so that it is necessary to optimize the implementation of nursing documentation. The purpose of thisstudy is to describe an innovation project to optimize the implementation of nursing documentation. Themethod used was a pilot study of 70 nursing documentation. The process starts from problem identification,problem analysis, plan of action, implementation, and evaluation. The quality of nursing documentation ismeasured using a nursing documentation audit instrument. Implementation in the form of guidelines,standart operational procedure (SOP), socialization, trials, assistance and making video roleplay nursingdocumentation. The results of the study showed an increase in the implementation of nursing documentationby 11.40%. The conclusion is that the implementation of an innovation project can improve theimplementation of nursing documentation. The recommendation is to use a guide, SOP and roleplay videosas a reference in carrying out nursing documentation.

Abstract

Nurses work professionally in hospitals to provide nursing services so that patients feel satisfied with thework ofnurses. But nurse job satisfaction in hospitals in Indonesia is still low. Several factors most influencedlow nurse job satisfaction. One of them is nurse service scheduling. Nursing scheduling is the arrangementand allocation of time available to carry out tasks from the work of nurses. The purpose of this study was todetermine the relationship between nursing scheduling with patient satisfaction at Y Hospital Jakarta. Thisstudy method was cross-sectional. The number ofsamples was 32 nurses (n = 32) through a stratified randomsampling technique. The study was conducted at Y Hospital Jakarta. Inclusion criteria included nurse,worked at least 1 year in ward, and were willing to become respondents. Analyzed of data used Pearsoncorrelation test. The results showed that the average nurse job satisfaction was 73, while the nurse'sscheduling was 90. 29. These results indicated that nurse satisfaction was still below the minimum servicestandard (SPM). This result also showed that there was a significant relationship between nursing schedulingand nurse satisfaction (p = 0.040; r = 0.349). The conclusion of this study was that there was a significantrelationship between nursing scheduling and nurse satisfaction at Y Hospital. Recommendations were givento the Head of the room to be fair in making the official schedule. Hospital managers also are expected toimprove nurse satisfaction by managing to nurse scheduling properly.

Abstract

Preceptor has an important role in health services provided by new nurses who are in transition.Commitment of a predecessor is very important in the optimization of the discipline of theprogram. The purpose of the study is to identify, to give the workshop, and to evaluate thecommitment of the preceptorship program in the Military Hospital in Jakarta. This article used apilot study approach, implementing, and evaluation used literature review. Factor analysis usedfishbone diagram analysis. Samples used in the initial assessment were 10 inpatient rooms thatincluded 10 head nurses, 19 preceptors, and 36 preceptees. Implementation used a preceptorshipworkshop with 25 nurses to be prepared to be preceptor. The results of the examination indicate aproblem in the implementation of the program preceptorship on the presenter's order in theinpatient room. The evaluation results show 100% preceptor has a high commitment inperforming its role. The recommendation of this study is that preceptor commitment andoptimizing preceptorship program have to have policies, the flow of program development, andmonitoring and evaluation of program implementation in the inpatient room.

Abstract

Background: A patient with terminal illness who will die should be supported and accompanied spiritually for passing their end of life. The spiritual involvement is needed a convenient place since its support will transform a frightening moment to be a peaceful one. Purpose: the aim of the study was describes the convenient place to die peacefully using philosophical approach.Methods: This study used method of an Actual Problem, it is a philosophy reflective study about the assumption of researcher that a patient with terminal illness wants to be accompanied by people who proper to deliver the prayers. In this study, with one participant problems in the place of die are directly exposed, then it is synthesized to solve a fundamental problem. Analysis and synthesis of unsatisfied place to die to be expected can solve the problem. Results: Hospice care is a program or facility which gives specific care for the patient in end of life. It can be said that hospice is a way of care based on philosophy about the end of life. Hospice can be a convenient place to die because there are its staff who will substitute the role of family, in case they experience physical and emotional burden. Conclusion: Hospice can be an alternative of convenient place for patient with dying process and its nursing care can make the process as peaceful as possible

Abstract

The incidence of mortality in ICU was still very high. Critical Patients in ICU required a complexcare. Conditions of complex care required the trained and competent nurses but deployment ofpersonnel was still a constraint. The Utilization of tele-ICU have an chance to reduce mortality inpatients. The purpose of this paper is to guide the use of Tele-ICU. The method used is literaturereview. Literature used from 2010 - 2017 such as journal and article. Tele-ICU is a technologyfacility that Provides long-range interactions by health workers to get the Data and conditions ofICU Patients Directly from the bedside. Communication in the tele-ICU is done through audioand video technology at the patient's bedside. Tele-ICU Provides a benefit to Patients, nurses anddoctors. Utilization of tele-ICU have a key role in optimizing the quality of nursing care receivedby Patients in accordance with the arrangements and the right destination. Utilization of teleICU needs the support of top managers. The managers must perform properly managementfunction to build a tele-ICU.

Abstract

Waktu tunggu pasien merupakan periode mulai dari saat pasien tiba di departemen rawat jalan eksekutif hingga saat pasien benar-benar meninggalkan ruang rawat jalan eksekutif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan waktu tunggu pasien dalam layanan rawat jalan eksekutif di Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut (RSGM) YARSI Jakarta. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner, lembar observasi, serta telaah dokumen kepada 80 pasien rawat jalan yang datang ke RSGM Yarsi. Teknik Analisis data penelitian dilakukan dengan analisis univariat, uji bivariat dan multivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Uji deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa pasien paling banyak berjenis kelamin laki-laki sebanyak 53,8%, berpendidikan tinggi 88,8%, memiliki pekerjaan yang diantaranya Ibu Rumah Tangga, pegawai BUMN, dokter, pensuinan, dan sebagainya dengan persentase 63,8%, status pasien lama sebanyak 77,5% dan poliklinik yang dituju bedah mulut dengan persentase 51,3%. Pelayanan administratif sudah dilakukan secara baik yakni 73,8%. Sumber Daya Manusia didapatkan hasil baik sebanyak 67,5%. Sarana dan prasarana, baik dengan presentase 66,3%. Waktu tunggu cepat dengan persentase 88,8% (2) Uji bivariat mengindikasikan bahwa secara statistik tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara karakteristik sosiodemografis (usia) dan waktu tunggu pasien RSGM Yarsi Jakarta (p sama dengan 0,530). Tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara karakteristik sosiodemografis (jenis kelamin) dan waktu tunggu dengan p sama dengan 0,908. Tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara karakteristik sosiodemografis (pendidikan) dan waktu tunggu dengan p sama dengan 0,257. Tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara karakteristik sosiodemografis (pekerjaan) dan waktu tunggu dengan p sama dengan 0,204. Tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara karakteristik sosiodemografis (status pasien) dan waktu tunggu dengan p sama dengan 0,983. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara pelayanan administrasi dan waktu tunggu dengan p sama dengan 0,003. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara sumber daya manusia dan waktu tunggu dengan p sama dengan 0,020. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara sarana prasarana dan waktu tunggu dengan p sama dengan 0,000 (3) sarana dan prasarana memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan peluang terjadinya waktu tunggu, dengan nilai koefisien sebesar 3.08. Hal ini dapat diinterpretasikan melalui nilai odds ratio yang sebesar 21.8.
