Abstract

Kandemeng Hamlet is situated in Batulaya Village, Tinambung District, within the Polewali Mandar Regency of West Sulawesi. In this sub-district, bananas are the primary fruit commodity, with production reaching 1,648 quintals in 2023. However, the process of transforming bananas into value-added products remains suboptimal. The aim of this community service initiative is to train the local community on effective techniques for making banana dodol and to develop and optimize banana dodol products that possess greater economic value. The initial phase of this project involves observations, interviews, and discussions with community members to identify the challenges faced by Kandemeng Hamlet. The residents are eager to learn how to process bananas into products with a longer shelf life to enhance the economic value of their banana crops. The proposed solution is to process bananas into banana dodol. The activities will include informational sessions, demonstrations, hands-on assistance, and evaluations. The main ingredients for this training are ambon bananas, coconut milk, glutinous rice flour, rice flour, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla. These ingredients are cooked over medium heat until the mixture reaches the right consistency, indicated by a non-sticky texture, a soft consistency, and a shiny surface resulting from the coconut milk oil. Following assessments and evaluations, participants from the community service activities, specifically the movement group in Kandemeng Hamlet, have successfully produced banana dodol independently. The banana dodol they created has been favored for its sensory qualities, including taste, aroma, texture, and color.

Abstract

Rintik Village has great economic potential in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector, but faces obstacles in financial management and product marketing. Low financial literacy means that people have not utilized the capital market as an alternative to managing savings, while MSME products are less attractive due to their simple packaging design. To overcome this problem, a community service program was carried out through socialization and investment training in the capital market and the creation of more attractive MSME product packaging designs. This activity lasted for three weeks using the counseling method, interactive discussions, and the design and delivery of packaging designs to MSME actors. The results of the activity showed an increase in public understanding of stock investment, where participants began to understand the basic concepts of investment, opportunities, and associated risks. In addition, corn cake MSME actors received a new packaging design that was more attractive and in accordance with market needs, thus potentially increasing product competitiveness. In conclusion, this program has succeeded in increasing public financial literacy and helping MSMEs develop their products, although further assistance is needed so that the results achieved can be implemented optimally.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance teachers' understanding at Sekolah Entrepreneur Tahfidz Muamalah Al Qudsiyah regarding the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model, as an effort to promote more creative, contextual, and student-relevant learning. The learning model and media were designed to facilitate students in entrepreneurial learning activities related to aquaculture, which is an integral part of the school's curriculum. The program was implemented through several stages: preparation, initial evaluation, implementation, and final evaluation. The initial assessment revealed that most teachers had not yet fully understood the concept of PjBL. Through training sessions that included material presentation, discussions, and Q&A, a significant improvement in teachers' comprehension was achieved; all participants (100%) demonstrated a good understanding of the PjBL model by the end of the program. This training effectively equipped teachers with the knowledge and skills necessary to design project-based learning, aligning with the strengthening of the Merdeka Curriculum implementation and the development of 21st-century skills. The project learning activity on tilapia aquaculture using the biofloc system was also carried out through hands-on practice in biofloc media preparation, fish cultivation over three months, and periodic sampling. The program’s success highlights the importance of continuous training and mentoring to support innovative learning practices in schools.

Abstract

The relocation of the National Capital City (IKN) from Jakarta to East Kalimantan is a strategic policy that aims to reduce the burden on Jakarta and accelerate equitable development in Indonesia. Balikpapan City, as the closest city to the location of the IKN Nusantara, is predicted to become a new center of economic growth that opens up great opportunities for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, on the other hand, this relocation also poses challenges such as business competition, limited capital, and market expansion. Through the approach of economic growth theories-classical, neoclassical, endogenous, Schumpeterian, and sustainable-this study analyzes the direct and indirect impacts of the relocation of IKN on the increase in income of MSME actors in Balikpapan City. The results show that infrastructure development, increased demand for goods and services, and economic digitalization are the main supporting factors for increasing MSME income. On the other hand, limited access to capital, lack of managerial skills, and competition with businesses outside the region are significant barriers. To optimize these opportunities, adaptation strategies by MSME actors, government support in the form of training, easy access to financing, and the use of digital technology in marketing are needed. This study concludes that although there are still major challenges, the transfer of IKN has strong potential to increase the contribution of MSMEs to the local economy, provided that it is accompanied by appropriate policy interventions and sustainable guidance.

Abstract

Purpose: This study investigates the impact of competence, motivation, and work culture on employee performance, with self-efficacy as the mediating variable. It hypothesizes that competence, motivation, and work culture influence self-efficacy, which in turn affects performance. Research Methodology: The sample in this study included all Medical Support employees at the Tanjungpinang City Regional General Hospital. The number of samples used was 105. The data obtained were analyzed using data analysis techniques with AMOS 24.0 software. Results: The findings revealed the significance of these relationships: competence positively affected self-efficacy, as indicated by the CR Value (5.045) and probability (0.000 < 0.05). Similarly, motivation (CR Value 2.802, P-Value 0.002 < 0.05) and work culture (CR Value 4.267, P-Value 0.001 < 0.05) positively impacted self-efficacy. Competence (CR = 3.066, p = 0.002 < 0.05) and work culture (CR = 2.075, p = 0.039 < 0.05) significantly influenced performance through self-efficacy. However, motivation does not have a direct significant effect on performance (CR Value = 1.157, probability = 0.248 > 0.05). Conclusions: Competence and work culture enhance performance through self-efficacy, while motivation indirectly supports it by strengthening self-efficacy. Limitations: This research focuses on 105 Medical Support employees at the Tanjungpinang City Regional General Hospital, employing AMOS 24.0 for data analysis. Contribution: This study underscores the importance of competence, motivation, and work culture in enhancing employee performance through the mediating role of self-efficacy.
