Abstract

Corona Virus Disease (Covid)-19 is still a global problem. One of the efforts in the health sector to control this disease is vaccination. However, several problems were encountered in carrying out vaccination activities such as low education, lack of knowledge, and negative attitudes towards the Covid-19 vaccine. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between education level, knowledge and attitudes, and acceptance of Covid-19 vaccination in the North Sulawesi community. This is observational research with a cross-sectional approach. This research was carried out in North Sulawesi Province by taking the focus on the place, namely in Minahasa Regency. This research was conducted in December 2022. The respondents to this study were 400 people aged 18 years and over who were willing to be respondents. The sampling method used is accidental sampling. The variables in this study are the level of education, knowledge, attitude, and acceptance of the Covid-19 vaccination. The instrument used is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data was obtained through interviews with respondents. Interviews were conducted online (using the Google form) and offline (conducted directly in the community). Data analysis was carried out in this study using the chi-square test. The results showed that the correlations between education level and vaccination acceptance found a value of p = 0.014 (p <0.05), which means that education level was significantly correlated to vaccination acceptance. In addition, a PR value of 1.989 was obtained, which means that respondents with low education were more likely to receive incomplete vaccinations 1.989 times. The correlations between knowledge and vaccination acceptance found a p-value of 0.435 (p> 0.05), which means that knowledge had no significant correlations with vaccination acceptance. The correlations between attitude and vaccination acceptance found a p-value of 0.012 (p <0.05), which means that attitude is significantly correlated to vaccination acceptance. In addition, a PR value of 2.111 was obtained, which means that respondents who had a poor attitude 2.111 times more easily received incomplete vaccinations. It can be concluded that the level of education and attitude were factors correlated to the acceptance of the Covid-19 vaccination in the North Sulawesi community.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the learning model in vocational high schools in Indonesia, which is usually face-to-face and has been turned into online learning. This learning uses e-learning with several models such as synchronous learning and asynchronous learning drastically without proper preparation. This creates problems in achieving learning outcomes because of many inhibiting factors. This research aims to investigate the readiness of e-learning implemented in vocational high schools during the post COVID-19 pandemic. The method used is the Aydin & Tasci ELR model for measuring the level of e-learning readiness. The results of this research investigation found that the e-learning readiness score was 4.15, which means that vocational high schools in Indonesia are ready to implement e-learning but still need a slight improvement in several factors. These factors are human resources, organization, technology, and infrastructure. This research concludes that vocational high schools in Indonesia are ready to implement e-learning as a supporter of learning in schools.

Abstract

Project-based education has become an increasingly popular approach in today's education system, especially at the primary school level. Project-based learning allows students to engage in real activities that involve exploring, collaborating, and applying the concepts they learn in real-life contexts. In the digital era that continues to grow, m-Learning (learning via mobile devices) has become an important instrument in helping educators implement project-based learning models in elementary schools. This study aims to investigate the role of m-Learning in a project-based learning model in elementary schools. This study will involve collecting qualitative and quantitative data through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and student surveys. The research focus will cover several important aspects, including (1) The use of m-Learning in providing relevant and varied learning resources to students, (2) The effectiveness of m-Learning in increasing student motivation and involvement in project-based learning models, ( 3) The impact of m-Learning on students' collaborative skills and creativity in developing their projects, (4) Teachers' perceptions of the use of m-Learning in project-based learning models. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide a better understanding of the role of m-Learning in the context of project-based learning in elementary schools. The findings of this study can provide insight to educators, teachers, and decision-makers in the field of education to optimize the use of technology in an effort to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Many students face challenges in the thesis preparation process, including time constraints, lack of integration with industry requirements, and lack of understanding of research methodology. This research aims to formulate another form of student thesis project with equal reasoning and difficulty level that can be measured and converted as a thesis. Apart from that, it also improves the quality and relevance of undergraduate thesis projects in Information Technology. The research method used is a descriptive approach, involving surveys and interviews. Research participants include Information Technology undergraduate students, supervisors, industry practitioners, and advisory boards. Data collection instruments include a structural questionnaire and interview guide designed to explore experiences, perceptions, and suggestions regarding changes in the preparation of the thesis project. The proposed solution involves implementing effective time management, closer integration with industry challenges through partnerships with companies, increased understanding of research methodologies, and adaptation of curricula to reflect dynamic changes in the Information Technology industry. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide concrete guidance for improving thesis projects and creating graduates who are better prepared and relevant to industry needs. Through this approach, it is hoped that this research can contribute to improving the academic process in producing higher quality and relevant thesis projects in the context of information technology.

Abstract

An academic information system is an application that can facilitate to processing of data and information related to academic problems. Currently, SMK Negeri 1 Tondano as one of the vocational schools in North Sulawesi still uses manual methods in processing the data and information needs, so it feels less effective and efficient. This causes the data process to not be integrated properly, and it takes a long time to process data or information. This research was conducted to develop a web-based academic information system at SMK Negeri 1 Tondano. Where this information system is expected to be able to help the data and information processing process. In developing the system to be built, the research method used is the prototype development method and Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling to simplify the design of the system to be built. Based on the results of system testing using black-box testing, it is stated that the system can run as well as expected.
