Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of the integration of the heutagogy (HA) and e-learning approaches in a flipped classroom on reading skills, strategies, and motivation. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental involving 351 high school students. Descriptive statistics and ANOVA were used in this study to test the effects of the intervention and compare them with other groups. The findings showed that the integration of the heutagogy and e-learning approaches in flipped classroom teaching was able to improve reading literacy skills, the use of reading strategies, and psychological factors that support the improvement of reading skills such as self-efficacy, reading motivation, and student autonomy. The principles of the heutagogy approach used in teaching reading skills are the the task, teacher support, student autonomy, evaluation. The most significant impact on reading skills and psychological factors of reading skill development is student autonomy. This study implies that the combination of the heutagogy (HA) and e-learning approaches can be an alternative for teachers to improve language skills, such as students' reading literacy skills.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dalam pendidikan memberikan peluang besar bagi guru untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif dan menarik. Namun, banyak guru masih menghadapi tantangan dalam mengintegrasikan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi secara efektif, seperti keterbatasan akses teknologi dan kurangnya pelatihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi yang digunakan oleh guru dalam mengintegrasikan media berbasis teknologi untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa, serta untuk mengetahui kendala yang dihadapi dalam implementasinya dan solusi yang dapat diterapkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan kuesioner terbuka yang disebarkan kepada guru bahasa Indonesia tingkat SMP dan SMA di Bandung, Cimahi, dan Kabupaten Bandung, serta wawancara mendalam dengan beberapa guru terpilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas guru memanfaatkan media seperti e-book, video, dan aplikasi interaktif (Canva, Wordwall) untuk mendukung pemahaman materi, meningkatkan motivasi belajar, serta mengembangkan kreativitas siswa. Strategi utama yang digunakan adalah penyelarasan media dengan kurikulum, pelatihan teknologi, serta integrasi teknologi sebagai alat pembelajaran. Kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru meliputi terbatasnya akses terhadap perangkat, kesenjangan kompetensi dalam penggunaan teknologi, dan kurangnya evaluasi terhadap media pembelajaran. Solusi yang diusulkan termasuk pengadaan perangkat, pelatihan berkala untuk guru, serta evaluasi dan kolaborasi dengan pihak eksternal. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun media berbasis teknologi efektif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas siswa, diperlukan dukungan berkelanjutan agar dapat diterapkan secara optimal dan berkelanjutan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and identify viewing skills through multimodal analysis. This is motivated by the fact that in Indonesia, viewing skills are considered a new language skill. So that information is needed on how the ability of these skills is theoretically and practically. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research used a population of Indonesian students with a sample of 145 students from the five largest islands. Data were obtained using questionnaires and multimodal analysis assignments. Data collection by distributing questionnaires and assignments to students, while data analysis uses descriptive statistical analysis and qualitative analysis. The results of the research can be identified that students have understood the concept of visual literacy, and with multimodal analysis, students are able to understand the meaning contained in the image. In addition, this research can also ensure that the use of audiovisual and visual media can be used in every learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan antara penguasaan diksi dan kalimat efektif dengan keterampilan menulis teks berita anggota Komunitas Balai Jurnalistik Mahasiswa (BJM) UMBARA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan teknik korelasional. Teknik korelasional merupakan suatu teknik penelitian yang berpusat pada analisis hubungan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui serta menganalisis terdapat atau tidaknya hubungan diantara variabel yang diteliti. Adapun pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa macam seperti observasi, wawancara tak terstruktur dan tes berupa soal pilihan ganda dan uraian. Penentuan sampel menggunakan cluster sampling dengan jumlah sampel 37 responden. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, didapatkan bahwa terdapat tiga hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini. Hasil perhitungan diperoleh kesimpulan: (1) Variabel penguasaan diksi memiliki korelasi positif dengan variabel teks berita dengan hasil rhitung lebih besar dari rtabel yaitu 0,7982 > 0,324 dengan tingkat korelasi “kuat”. (2) Variabel kalimat efektif memiliki korelasi positif dengan variabel teks berita dengan hasil rhitung lebih besar dari rtabel yaitu 0,9047 > 0,324 dengan tingkat korelasi “sangat kuat”. (3) Variabel penguasaan diksi dan kalimat efektif secara bersama-sama memiliki korelasi positif dengan hasil rhitung lebih besar dari rtabel yaitu 0,8997 > 0,324 dengan tingkat korelasi “sangat kuat”. Artinya semakin baik penguasaan diksi dan kalimat efektif maka akan lebih baik keterampilan menulis teks berita.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the impact of technology integration in the digital multiliteracy era on the strategies, processes, and outcomes of speech learning in the Department of Indonesian Language Education, FKIP, Siliwangi University. The method used is a qualitative case study with purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis was carried out interactively through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing.The results showed that the application of digital technology significantly improved speech learning strategies. Students become more active, creative, and communicative in composing and delivering speeches through online platforms. Students' digital literacy increased, marked by the ability to understand digital content, adapt speeches to audiences, and utilize online media. Lecturers also find it easy to be flexible, provide feedback, and utilize digital resources. Digital multiliteracies proved effective in supporting the development of speech learning in higher education. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dampak integrasi teknologi di era multiliterasi digital terhadap strategi, proses, dan hasil pembelajaran pidato di Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP Universitas Siliwangi. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus kualitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen. Analisis data dilakukan secara interaktif melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknologi digital secara signifikan meningkatkan strategi pembelajaran pidato. Mahasiswa menjadi lebih aktif, kreatif, dan komunikatif dalam menyusun serta menyampaikan pidato melalui platform online. Literasi digital mahasiswa meningkat, ditandai dengan kemampuan memahami konten digital, menyesuaikan pidato dengan audiens, dan memanfaatkan media daring. Dosen juga merasakan kemudahan dalam fleksibilitas, pemberian umpan balik, dan pemanfaatan sumber daya digital. Multiliterasi digital terbukti efektif mendukung pengembangan pembelajaran pidato di perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing a literacy-based teaching module on improving critical thinking skills and cultural intelligence of Grade X students at Al-Amanah Islamic School, Lembang, West Java. This research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pre-test and post-test experimental design. Data were collected using essay tests (to assess critical thinking) and Likert-scale questionnaires (to measure cultural intelligence). Statistical test results showed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores on both variables. The paired samples t-test revealed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating that the implementation of the literacy-based teaching module significantly enhanced students’ critical thinking and cultural intelligence. These findings highlight the importance of developing teaching materials that integrate local cultural values and literacy strategies to strengthen student competencies in the face of educational globalization.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka menekankan pengembangan kompetensi kognitif, afektif, dan sosial siswa untuk mempersiapkan mereka menghadapi tantangan dunia yang semakin kompleks. Artikel ini menganalisis pengaruh penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka berdasarkan data kuesioner yang diisi oleh 8 guru bahasa Indonesia di tingkat SMP dan SMA. Pembelajaran berbasis proyek terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi kognitif siswa, terutama dalam berpikir kritis, kreativitas, dan pemecahan masalah. Di sisi afektif, meskipun ada tantangan dalam motivasi siswa, 55% guru melaporkan peningkatan dalam kemandirian, karakter, dan empati siswa. Pada aspek sosial, 65% guru mencatat peningkatan keterampilan kolaborasi, komunikasi, dan penyelesaian konflik antar siswa. Namun, tantangan muncul dengan siswa yang kurang percaya diri dalam berpartisipasi dalam diskusi kelompok. Pembelajaran yang lebih inklusif dan pengelolaan dinamika kelompok dapat mengatasi hal ini, memastikan pengembangan kompetensi sosial yang merata.

Abstract

This research was conducted due to the importance of speaking strategies that advocates in court should possess. This study aims to describe the advocate’s speaking strategies in court, seen from the plea and exception drafts, and to see how they can be implemented in advocate professional education in Indonesia. The type of this research is qualitative descriptive using a descriptive analysis approach. The data are plea and exception drafts, notes, and court minutes. The data were collected through observation, interviews, recording, and collecting the the collection of plea and exception drafts. The validity of the data was assured by using semantic validity. The data was analyzed by reducing and presenting the data and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the speaking strategy used mainly by the advocate at the trial was straightforward speaking strategies with positive politeness pleasantries, which was 52.6%. Meanwhile, the lowest number of speaking strategies found in the draft were straightforward speaking strategies without any form of pleasantries, and it was 9.1%. Based on these data, the concept of a speaking strategy has been implemented, although there are still various obstacles and shortcomings. The challenges that arise include advances in technological development, mastery of the concept of speaking strategies, and digital-based learning components. Involvement and engagement with various elements are helpful for the advancement of professional training of prospective advocates in order to achieve the vision, mission, and expected goals.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the application of the dynamic assessment model in the Indonesian Language Education Study Program. Assessment applied in the field of education seeks to provide an overview of students' understanding processes and skills in obtaining information so that the resulting assessment is not only in the form of numbers, but also a description of follow-up plans that educators can carry out so that assessment becomes an evaluation tool (indicator) in achieving learning goals. This research uses quantitative research with descriptive methods. The population of this research is the Indonesian Language Education Study Program at three universities, namely Medan State University (Unimed), Indonesian Education University (UPI), and Pasundan University. The samples from this research were two to three lectures in each study program. Data collection techniques use observation techniques. This data analysis step uses data presentation in visual form to see the application of the dynamic assessment model in the lecture process. The research results obtained (1) most lecturers had carried out an implicit initial assessment process in the opening or initial activities; (2) the core activities have been carried out by some lecturers by applying the principles of the dynamic assessment model by giving students the opportunity to submit arguments and provide feedback by lecturers to be able to provide confirmation of student understanding. Apart from that, the documented question and answer process has been carried out by the lecturer as a form of assessment of the process carried out by the learning process; (3) lecturers have carried out closing activities according to the indicators observed, although some lecturers missed carrying out reflection activities and missed assessing according to the assessment rubric. So, it can be concluded that lecturers have not maximized the final assessment in each learning process.

Abstract

Kesalahan yang sering muncul dalam kajian morfologi adalah kesalahan afiksasi. Kesalahan ini dalam sebuah berita dapat menyebabkan multitafsir oleh pembaca. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan kesalahan afiksasi pada teks berita online dan memperbaikinya sesuai kaidah bahasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Tahapan penelitian dimulai dengan pemilihan sumber data yakni teks berita online @CNBCIndonesia edisi Desember 2024. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak catat, teknik simak untuk memperoleh data dan catat untuk menganalisis kata atau kalimat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa kesalahan afiksasi dalam media massa online @CNBCIndonesia edisi Desember 2024 yakni: (1) kesalahan morfonemik terkait dengann aspek morfologi dan fonologi. Hal ini terjadi kesalahan penggunaan fonem sebagai akibat pertemuan antara afiks dengan bentuk dasar. Faktor penyebab kesalahan ini adalah tidak menggunakan afiksasi yang tepat sesuai kaidah Bahasa Indonesia, tetapi hal ini dapat dibenarkan karena jurnalis menggunakan bahasa jurnalistik yang berpedoman menggunakan bahasa yang singkat, jelas dan mudah dipahami. (2) Kesalahan penggunaan afiksasi terkait semantik atau pemaknaan saat menentukan fungsi kata berafiks dalam kalimat sehingga penyajian informasi berita dapat sepnuhnya dijadikan rujukan informasi dalam berita, sehingga proses afiksasi kata dalam kalimat berita tidak menimbulkan multi tafsir. AbstractA common mistake in morphological studies is affixation errors. These errors in news can lead to multiple interpretations by readers. The objective of this research is to explain affixation errors in online news texts and to correct them according to language rules. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method. The research process begins with the selection of data sources, namely online news texts from @CNBCIndonesia in the December 2024 edition. The data collection technique uses the note-taking method, with the listening technique to acquire data and note-taking for analyzing words or sentences. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that affixation errors in online mass media @CNBCIndonesia in the December 2024 edition are: (1) morphonemic errors related to morphological and phonological aspects. This occurs due to errors in the use of phonemes as a result of the meeting between affixes and the root form. The factors causing this error are the improper use of affixation according to the rules of the Indonesian language, but this can be justified because journalists use journalistic language that adheres to using language that is brief, clear, and easy to understand. (2) The errors in the use of affixation are related to semantics or meaning when determining the function of affixed words in sentences, so that the presentation of news information can be entirely referenced in the news, thus the process of affixation of words in news sentences does not result in multiple interpretations.
