Abstract

This study aims to substantially discuss the principles of integrating prophetic eco-literacy values in Indonesian Language teaching materials. Particularly, this research will analyze the principle of integration aimed at a low-quality class of elementary school students as a form of elaboration of environmental love education, so that students have a moral spirit to conserve the environment. This research uses the R and D research procedures from Borg and Gall. This research focuses on the first and second steps, namely (a) research and information collecting and  (b) planning. The results of the adaptation of this research step are, 1) an initial study that includes a needs analysis and 2) the development of principles of integrating prophetic eco-literacy values as a form of elaboration of environmental love education in Indonesian Language teaching materials for a low-quality class of elementary schools. The results showed that there were values of tauhid, khilafah, syariah, and amanat in the basic competencies contained in the low-quality class of elementary school curriculum. The principles of preparing Indonesian Language teaching materials containing prophetic ecological values are manifested in several indicators, including: 1) analysis of teaching material needs, 2) preparation of teaching materials, 3) structure of teaching materials, and 4) preparation of teaching materials.

Abstract

This study is conducted to describe the quality of improvement process in course designed by Better Teaching and Learning (BTL) in the course of learning process to speak on student’s university participants in Learning Speaking, decrypt improving the quality of student’s learning outcomes after learning speak courses to Better Teaching and Learning (BTL), and express the student’s respone as feedback of learning outcomes assessment that designed to reveal the performance of the Better Teaching and learning (BTL) which can provide significant feedback to positive student’s response. The subjects of this study are the students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education. Learning is implemented using Better Teaching and Learning (BTL). Method of collecting the data is by using observation, assessment rubrics, interviews, journals, and photos. The process and the students’ learning outcomes were analyzed with qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results show that the process, learning outcomes, and student’s responses can be enhanced through implementation of Better Teaching and Learning (BTL) which are arranged in fourteen steps.

Abstract

The attainment of education in Indonesia is low. It can be seen from the measurement results of PISA 2013, which measures the ability of Mathematics, Reading, and Science for students in Junior High School education age. Meanwhile, in 2014 the implementation of Curriculum 2013 will be implemented 100% in class VII and VIII. How is the readiness of Junior High School teachers in Mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, and Science regarding to the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in 2014? This study aimed to describe the understanding of junior high school teachers in Mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, and Science to the 2013 curriculum, an innovative learning process, as well as authentic assessment in Semarang city. The study was designed as a descriptive study with a sample of teachers in Mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, and Science (public and private) in the Semarang taken proportionally based on the accreditation status of A, B, and C. The statistical analysis that will be used is simple statistic equipped with the descriptive analysis of narrative. Research steps to be carried out are: sampling, research instruments development, data collection, data analysis, and results. The results indicated an understanding of 2013 curriculum by Junior High School teachers. It showed good result (score 3.7), understanding of the innovative learning process in using 2013 curriculum by Junior High School teachers showed good result (score 3.9), Junior High School teachers’ understanding of the authentic assessment showed considerable good result (score of 3.6), and Junior High School teachers in Bahasa Indonesia subjects, science and mathematics attitudes toward the implementation of curriculum 2013 showed good results. It can be seen from the average score of 3.8 with good categories on the questionnaire analysis. Most of teachers’ attitudes toward the implementation of 2013 curriculum indicated positive respond. On the other hand, factor of teacher readiness toward the implementation of 2013 curriculum still needs to be improved.Keywords: implementation of Curriculum 2013

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to prove the existence of grammatical cohesion in the research report text of the lectures of Faculty of Languages and Arts, Semarang State University and to identify the various devices used in the text of the research report, from the lecturer of Faculty of Languages and Arts, Semarang State University. The research was conducted with qualitative and descriptive approach. The source of research data is the lecturer’s text of the research report that there are seven research report. Research data in the form of text snippets of the Semarang State University’s lecurer’s research report that allegedly contain grammatical cohesion. The findings of this study is the presence of grammatical cohesion in the Faculty of Language and Art Semarang State University ‘lecturer’s text of the research report on the use of words or phrases. Grammatical cohesion devices in the Faculty of Language and Art Semarang State University ‘lecture’s text research report, which covers (1) reference (reference), (2) substitution, (3) ellipsis, and (4) conjunction. Based on these findings, it can be put forward suggestions that language users should be able to make use of grammatical cohesion in an effort to speak effectively and efficiently, both verbal and written. Excavations of various grammatical cohesion devices in the Faculty of Language and Art Semarang State University ‘lecture’s text research report should continue to be given the possibility of using other devices than those found in this study.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of the lecture that is designed based on the strategy two-two-four students in the kepewaraan lecturing on kepewaraan course participants, and also to describe the amount of increase in the quality of students learning outcomes after attending kepewaraan strategy with two-two-four and uncover students’s responses as feedback learning outcomes assessment designed to reveal the strategy performance in two-twofour can provide significant feedback to the positive response of students. the subject of the study were students of Education Studies Language and Literature Indonesia. Learning strategy implemented using two journals and document images. Processes and students learning outcomes were analyzed with qualitative and quantitative techniques. the results showed the process, learning outcomes, and students responses can be enhanced through the application of strategy of two-two-four, arranged in twelve steps.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi digital dalam proses belajar mengajar Bahasa Indonesia telah menjadi isu yang semakin menarik perhatian dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam proses belajar mengajar Bahasa Indonesia dan efeknya terhadap kemampuan literasi multimodal para pelajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi di kelas, wawancara dengan guru Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknologi digital dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi multimodal para siswa. Pemanfaatan teknologi digital, yaitu (1) presentasi slide; (2) video pembelajaran; dan (3) sumber daya online memungkinkan siswa untuk berinteraksi dengan berbagai mode komunikasi secara aktif. Hal ini memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran yang lebih beragam dan membantu siswa memahami materi dengan lebih baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi multimodal siswa, penggunaan media digital dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dapat menjadi pilihan yang tepat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman kita tentang peran media digital dalam pengembangan kemampuan literasi multimodal siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the various roles of metaphor in the oral literature of Pepali Babad Banyumasan. This study was qualitative and descriptive by its nature, meaning that all data are not in the form of numbers. It instead focused on the quality of verbal forms or utterances All data were retrieved from written excerpts of the prose. All data were retrieved from written excerpts of the prose. These data were further analyzed using a referential identity method and a reflective introspective method. The study found four functions of metaphor in Pepali Babad Banyumasan, such as to mention unique characteristics, to describe the place of origin, to substitute, and to concretize human experience. Oral literature of Banyumasan Javanese, especially the one discussed in the present study, is worth investigating. Pepaliis originated from Raden Baribin, Wira Utama, Yudanegara II, Yudanegara III, and others. Behind the fact that literary work is something inanimate, lies within Pepali is enigma and meaning to look at. The findings in this study are belief in magical and occult things as a way of life for taking attitudes for the ancient Javanese people, particularly the Banyumasan people that was used as a form of expression to concretize the representation of experiences in the past, then make it a message so that people are more vigilant and break bad luck in the present by reflecting on past experiences. In this study, it is clear that the ancient Javanese people believed in magical things as a form of human communication to get blessing in managing government. The ancient Javanese people of Banyumasan also believed that the name was also a sign to represent the image of the community group. In this case the name that appears to represent the aristocratic class of society (people who are destined to become leaders) by giving him a family name taken from the name of an animal, namely goose.

Abstract

Abstrak. Selama pandemi covid-19 pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring atau jarak jauh. Berbagai aplikasi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi digunakan, namun banyak kendala yang terjadi, mulai dari ketersediaan sarana, jaringan dan sumber daya manusia. Dari total guru yang ada di Indonesia, baru 40% guru yang melek teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini memfokuskan apa yang dimaksud literasi TIK, bagaimana TIK digunakan dalam pembelajaran dan bagaimana meningkatkan literasi TIK bagi guru dan peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah literatur review. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam pembelajaran harus mempertimbangkan lima kriteria, yakni kemudahan akses, lingkungan belajar, penggunaan Learning Management System (LMS), user experience aplikasi, dan interaksi antara pengajar dan peserta didik. Peningkatan literasi TIK bagi guru dapat dilakukan dengan cara memberikan pelatihan, penyediaan sarana dan melakukan studi banding. Adapun bagi siswa dapat dilakukan dengan cara memberikan video tutorial yang dibuat oleh guru dan memberikan arahan bagaimana menggunakan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi secara positif. Abstract. During the COVID-19 pandemic, learning is carried out online. Various information and communication technology applications are used, but many obstacles occur, ranging from the availability of facilities, networks and human resources. Moreover, of all teachers in Indonesia, only 40% of teachers are literate in information and communication technology. This research focuses on what ICT literacy is, how ICT is used in learning and how to improve ICT literacy for teachers and students. The method used in this research is literature review. The results of this study are that the use of information and communication technology in learning must consider five criteria, namely ease of access, learning environment, use of Learning Management System (LMS), application user experience, and interaction between teachers and students. Improving ICT literacy for teachers can be done by providing training, providing facilities and conducting comparative studies. As for students, this can be done by providing video tutorials made by teachers and providing directions on how to use information and communication technology positively.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi penyusunan bahan ajar inovatif berbasis mobile learning untuk pembelajaran mata kuliah keterampilan menulis di abad 21. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi pustaka (library research) dengan data penelitian berupa data sekunder yang relevan dengan topik pembahasan. Data bersumber dari buku terbitan Indonesia dan luar negeri, serta artikel hasil penelitian yang sudah dipublikasi dalam jurnal nasional maupun internasional. Prosedur penelitian ini menggunakan teori Mary W. George. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dalam menyusun bahan ajar inovatif berbasis mobile learning untuk pembelajaran mata kuliah keterampilan menulis di abad 21 dapat memanfaatkan strategi yang digunakan oleh Kosasih (2021) sehingga menghasilkan prototipe bahan ajar mata kuliah keterampilan menulis berbasis mobile learning yang dikembangkan berbentuk aplikasi. Aplikasi ini dimulai dengan menu untuk login, setelah tombol ‘login’ di klik maka aplikasi akan mengarahkan ke menu ajakan untuk berdoa sesuai kepercayaan masing-masing, kemudian klik tombol lanjutkan sehingga akan mengarah ke menu utama dan ke menu-menu yang lain Abstract. This study aims to investigate the strategy to create innovative teaching materials based on mobile learning for learning writing skills in the 21st century. This study is a library research with secondary data relevant to the topic of discussion. The data comes from national and international books, and the articles that have been published in national and international journals. This research procedure implements the theory of Mary W. George. This study concludes that in creating innovative teaching materials based on mobile learning for learning writing skills in the 21st century, can utilize the strategies used by Kosasih (2011) to produce a prototype of teaching materials for writing skill based on mobile learning which is developed in the form of an application . This application starts with a menu to log in, after the 'login' button is clicked, the application will direct to a menu of invitations to pray according to their religions, then click the continue button so that it will lead to the main menu and other menus.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan mahasiswa dalam meningkatkan kepewaraan sebagai sebuah kecakapan hidup sesuai dengan capaian pembelajaran mata kuliah (CPMK) Keterampilan berbicara dan Retorika. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan prinsip, karakteristik dan profil pelatihan kepewaraan formal mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka (library research). Dalam penelitian ini, studi pustaka yang digunakan adalah jurnal nasional dan internasional, buku, maupun hasil penelitian yang relevan. Setelah data-data pustaka terkumpul, penulis menyusun dan mengurutkannya menjadi temuan baru atau pijakan baru. Hasil penelitian kajian ini bahwa pelatihan yang baik harus memiliki pertama prinsip pelatihan, yaitu (1) perbedaan individu; (2) spesifikasi mahasiswa; (3) motivasi mahasiswa; (4) partisipasi aktif; (5) seleksi mahasiswa; (6) seleksi pengajar; (7) kompetensi pengajar; (8) metode pelatihan; dan (9) asas belajar. Kedua, menentukan karakteristik pelatihan kepewaraan mahasiswa, yaitu (1) memiliki pengetahuan kebahasaan; (2) memiliki pengetahuan nonkebahasaan; (3) memiliki motivasi; (4) memiliki keberanian; (5) memiliki kepercayaan diri; (6) memiliki keterampilan Media kepewaraan atau teknologi informasi; (7) menguasai panggung. Ketiga, menentukan profil pewara formal.. Untuk menjadi pewara professional yang berorientasi kecakapan hidup diperlukan sintax berupa OEKIER, yaitu Orientasi, Eksplorasi, Konseptual, Implementasi, serta Evaluasi dan Refleksi. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah prinsip, karakteristik, dan profil pelatihan kepewaraan disusun berdasarkan kajian kurikulum dan CPMK yang telah disusun berdasarkan kebutuhan mahasiswa untuk menjadikan keterampilan kepewaraan sebagai sebuah kecakapan hidup. Untuk menjadi seorang pewara profesional dibutuhkan pengetahuan kebahasaan dan nonkebahasaan, selain itu harus ditunjang pula dengan unsur penunjang pewara, yaitu etika, estetika, kecakapan personal,kecakapan sosial, kecakapan akademik, dan kecakapan vokasional. Proses mewujudkannya dilakukan dengan pelatihan kepewaraan dengan langkah sintaks OEKIER (Orientasi, Eksplorasi, Konseptualisasi, Implementasi, Evaluasi dan Refleksi). Abstract. This research is motivated by the needs of students in improving sanity as a life skill in accordance with the learning outcomes of the subjects (CPMK) Speaking and Rhetoric Skills. The purpose of this study is to describe the principles, characteristics and profiles of formal student training in tertiary institutions. The research method used is library research. In this research, literature studies used are national and international journals, books, and relevant research results. After the library data has been collected, the authors arrange and sort them into new findings or new footholds. The results of this study indicate that good training must have the first principles of training, namely (1) individual differences; (2) student specifications; (3) student motivation; (4) active participation; (5) student selection; (6) teacher selection; (7) teacher competence; (8) training methods; and (9) the principle of learning. Second, to determine the characteristics of student sanity training, namely (1) having linguistic knowledge; (2) have non-linguistic knowledge; (3) have motivation; (4) have courage; (5) have self-confidence; (6) possessing media skills or information technology; (7) dominate the stage. Third, determine the profile of a formal presenter. To become a professional presenter with life skills orientation, a syntax in the form of OEKIER is required, namely Orientation, Exploration, Conceptual, Implementation, as well as Evaluation and Reflection. The conclusion of this research is that the principles, characteristics, and profiles of civic training are compiled based on a study of the curriculum and CPMK which have been compiled based on the student's needs to make civic skills a life skill. To become a professional presenter, linguistic and non-linguistic knowledge is needed, besides that, it must also be supported by supporting elements of the presenter, namely ethics, aesthetics, personal skills, social skills, academic skills, and vocational skills. The process of making it happen is carried out by sanity training with the OEKIER syntax steps (Orientation, Exploration, Conceptualization, Implementation, Evaluation and Reflection).
