Abstract

Vibration testing is important to avoid uncontrolled vibrations and can cause structural and mechanical failures in machinery. Vibration testing using a laboratory-scale 3 axis shaker table vibration testing machine aims to determine the dynamic characteristics and resistance of a wind turbine structure modeled into a specimen to vibration. This research uses an experimental method by making a specimen model that has 3 structural variations, namely a plain structure, a multilevel structure, and a taper structure. This research also varies the motor rotation speed using a dimmer. There is an MPU 6050 accelerometer sensor and uses PLX-DAQ software connected to Excel for the data collection process. The results obtained 1 stable specimen model, namely the plain structure. The plain structure with a speed of 250 rpm on the X axis has a minimum acceleration value of -0.01 m/s2 and a maximum of -0.27 m/s2, on the Y axis has a minimum acceleration value of 0.00 m/s2 and a maximum of 0.27 m/s2, and on the Z axis has a minimum acceleration value of -0.06 m/s2 and a maximum of 0.27 m/s2. The plain structure with a speed of 350 rpm on the X axis has a minimum acceleration value of -0.02 m/s2 and a maximum of -0.36 m/s2, on the Y axis has a minimum acceleration value of 0.00 m/s2 and a maximum of -0.38 m/s2, and on the Z axis has a minimum acceleration value of 0.19 m/s2 and a maximum of 0.40 m/s2. Indicates that the motor speed and specimen structure model affect the vibration response because the greater the motor rpm, the higher the resulting acceleration value.

Abstract

Vibration testing using a shaker table vibration tester aims to determine the dynamic characteristics and the structural endurance of a test object under vibrational or shock loads. The addition of motion axes (X, Y, Z) to the shaker table through the use of a connecting link rod-type exciter allows for greater displacement of the exciter, thereby expanding the variety of vibrational movements produced by the shaker table. This configuration enables more complex and varied testing conditions, leading to more comprehensive and representative test results. This research uses the Research and Development method by making a 3-axis shaker table vibration testing machine. Using a mechanical exciter slider crank with a connecting link rod as the mechanism, and varying the value of the connecting link rod installation distance on the deviation adjustment disk by 5, 10, 15, and 20 mm from the center point to vary the amplitude of the shaker table. The results of the machine function test obtained the vibration value of the frame when the machine operates with the test object at a deviation of 5 mm, which is 16.017 rms mm/s on the X axis, 17.237 rms mm/s on the Y axis, and 13.844 rms mm/s on the Z axis, while at a deviation of 10 mm the vibration value of the frame is 7.192 rms mm/s on the X axis, 28.224 rms mm/s on the Y axis, and 22.334 rms mm/s on the Z axis. From these data, it can be identified that the vibration of the frame falls into the unsafe category according to ISO 2372 standards.

Abstract

This research aims to design and develop a household-scale meatball (pentol) printing machine intended for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The main problem faced by small-scale pentol entrepreneurs is the limitation of production tools, which are still manual, resulting in low efficiency and productivity. Therefore, the development of a pentol printing machine with a dough capacity of 3 kg per hour is expected to provide a solution in the form of a semi-automatic device that is more economical and practical for MSME use. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D), which includes the design, manufacturing, testing, and evaluation of the pentol printing machine. The testing process used pentol dough as the material. The machine is designed with a ¼ HP electric motor at a speed of 1250 rpm and uses a screw conveyor system to push the dough. The machine frame dimensions are 400 × 300 × 450 mm, with a pulley ratio of 1:1 (2 inches / 50.8 mm) and an M-21 V-belt. A horizontal design and the addition of a cooling box are the main advantages to prevent the dough from sticking during the cutting process. The results of the design and construction tests of the pentol printing machine show that the machine operates well and is able to improve printing efficiency compared to the manual method. The machine was tested three times, each with 1 kg of dough, producing an average processing time of 3.12 minutes per kilogram. This machine is easy to operate and maintain, making it highly suitable for small business operators. With the presence of this machine, it is expected that MSMEs can increase production capacity and competitiveness in the local market.
