Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to describe the affiliative leadership of the principal in the management of teaching staff at SMA Negeri 1 Sandai. The form of research used is qualitative research with a case study approach. The participants in this study consist of 7 individuals: 4 males aged between 38 - 49 years, and 3 females aged between 47 - 58 years. All subjects are principals, vice principals in charge of curriculum, and educators. Data collection methods use observation, interviews and documentation The data validity checking technique uses triangulation.The main findings in this research indicate that: (1) the school principal's affiliative leadership builds strong interpersonal relationships among the teaching staff. 2) the school principal's affiliative leadership empathizes with the teaching staff. (3) the school principal's affiliative leadership communicates effectively with the teaching staff.. The conclusions in this research are: (1) in improving affiliative leadership, a leadership approach that emphasizes building strong interpersonal relationships between leaders and team member. (2) the first implementation is to show empathy, understanding and sincere concern for the welfare of team members, who are part of the team making contributions from teaching staff, which is an advantage in carrying out affiliative leadership activities (3) interpersonal communication in affiliative leadership. The implication is that by applying affiliative leadership, the principal of SMA Negeri 1 Sandai can enhance teachers' motivation and performance, create a harmonious work culture, encourage innovation in teaching, strengthen collaboration among educators, and increase teachers' loyalty to the school. This will foster a conducive work environment and positively impact the quality of education at the school.Key Word: Leadership, Affiliate, Educator

Abstract

This study aims to explore the transformational leadership strategies of the school principal in implementing the Independent Curriculum at SMP Negeri 7 Dedai, Sintang Regency. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with participants including 1 principal, 4 vice-principals, and 1 administrative staff, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model through data reduction, presentation, and verification, with triangulation of sources and techniques. The results indicate that the principal applied transformational leadership strategies by emphasizing the development of a vision and mission aligned with the Independent Curriculum, motivating teachers through support, training, and constructive supervision, and empowering all stakeholders, including administrative staff and parents. The strategies also included a personal approach to teachers to develop their competencies, creativity, and innovation, while fostering a collaborative, adaptive, and innovative school culture. The implementation of these strategies positively impacted the school environment and work culture, evident in increased teacher participation, project-based learning methods, professional competency development, and the integration of the Pancasila Student Profile values in curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities. The success of implementing the Independent Curriculum is reflected in both quantitative indicators, such as improved student average scores and competition participation, and qualitative indicators, including student independence, self-confidence, and critical thinking skills. The study concludes that the principal, as a pedagogical leader, inspires, facilitates innovation, and creates a learning environment that supports the goals of the Independent Curriculum. These findings are expected to provide theoretical contributions to educational leadership studies and practical recommendations for principals to enhance teaching quality and teacher empowerment in secondary schools.Strategi Kepemimpinan Transformasional Kepala Sekolah Mewujudkan Kurikulum Merdeka di SMP Negeri 7 Dedai Kabupaten SintangABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dalam mewujudkan Kurikulum Merdeka di SMP Negeri 7 Dedai, Kabupaten Sintang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian meliputi 1 kepala sekolah, 4 guru wakil kepala sekolah, dan 1 staf administrasi, yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi data dengan triangulasi sumber serta teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah menerapkan strategi kepemimpinan transformasional dengan menekankan pembentukan visi dan misi yang selaras dengan Kurikulum Merdeka, motivasi guru melalui dukungan, pelatihan, dan supervisi konstruktif, serta pemberdayaan seluruh pemangku kepentingan, termasuk staf administrasi dan orang tua. Strategi ini juga mencakup pendekatan personal terhadap guru untuk mengembangkan kompetensi, inovasi, dan kreativitas, sekaligus menciptakan budaya sekolah yang kolaboratif, adaptif, dan inovatif. Implementasi strategi tersebut berdampak positif pada lingkungan sekolah dan budaya kerja, terlihat dari peningkatan partisipasi aktif guru, pengembangan metode pembelajaran berbasis proyek, peningkatan kompetensi profesional, serta penerapan nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila dalam kegiatan intrakurikuler, kokurikuler, dan ekstrakurikuler. Keberhasilan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di sekolah ini juga tercermin pada pencapaian indikator kuantitatif, seperti peningkatan rata-rata nilai siswa dan partisipasi dalam kompetisi, serta indikator kualitatif, seperti kemandirian, kepercayaan diri, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah berperan sebagai pemimpin pedagogis yang menginspirasi, memfasilitasi inovasi, serta membangun lingkungan belajar yang mendukung tujuan Kurikulum Merdeka. Temuan ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi teoritis bagi pengembangan ilmu kepemimpinan pendidikan dan manfaat praktis sebagai rekomendasi bagi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan pemberdayaan guru di sekolah menengah.Kata Kunci :kepemimpinan transformasional; kepala sekolah; Kurikulum Merdeka; motivasi guru; pengembangan kompetensi; budaya sekolah

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in secondary schools in Sekadau Regency, represents advancement in addressing globalization and technological progress, with the objective of fostering a more flexible, student-centered education that enhances student competency and engagement. This study seeks to examine change management during the introduction of the Independent Curriculum in secondary schools within Sekadau Regency. This study employs qualitative methodologies, using data gathering via semi-structured interviews and direct observation. Interviews were performed with school principals, educators, and administrative personnel to understand the problems and tactics employed in the curriculum modification process. Field observations were conducted to assess the implementation of the curriculum in classroom activities. The findings identify five principal barriers: the necessity for teacher retraining, technological and infrastructure constraints, cultural resistance, teacher fatigue during the shift, and insufficient training. This study underscores the significance of ongoing training, enhancement of technology infrastructure, and systematic change management within context. Proactive support from government and educational leadership is crucial for the effective implementation of the Independent Curriculum and the enhancement of educational quality in Sekadau Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relevance and applicability of Ki Hajar Dewantara's educational philosophy in facing the increasingly developing digital era. Ki Hajar Dewantara, as an Indonesian education figure, has rich and deep pedagogical principles. However, in facing significant challenges and changes in the world of education caused by digital technology, the relevance of this traditional approach needs to be evaluated. This article examines Ki Hajar Dewantara's educational principles, such as "ing ngarsa sung tulada, ing madya mangun karsa, tut wuri handayani," and how these principles can be integrated into education in the digital era. The results of this research provide valuable insight into how technology-based education can still respect the values and principles espoused by Ki Hajar Dewantara.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan analisis manajemen kelas oleh guru untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran di SD Suster Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari 9 orang, yaitu 2 laki-laki dan 7 perempuan, termasuk 1 kepala sekolah, 1 wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, 6 guru kelas, dan 1 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model Miles dan Huberman, yang mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi/simpulan. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perencanaan kelas oleh guru untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran di SD Suster Pontianak, (2) pengorganisasian dan pengendalian kelas oleh guru, (3) evaluasi kelas oleh guru, dan (4) faktor-faktor penghambat dan pendukung manajemen kelas. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah: (1) perencanaan pembelajaran yang baik, (2) penciptaan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, (3) penerapan evaluasi yang beragam, dan (4) faktor penghambat terkait dengan perbedaan kemampuan siswa. Faktor pendukung yang efektif antara lain fasilitas yang memadai dan kondisi kelas yang mendukung. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya kreativitas guru dan inovasi siswa dalam mendukung manajemen kelas untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: Manajemen, Manajemen Kelas, PembelajaranABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the classroom management analysis by teachers to improve the learning process at SD Suster Pontianak. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and verification/conclusion. Data validity was ensured through triangulation. The findings revealed that: (1) classroom planning by teachers to improve the learning process at SD Suster Pontianak, (2) classroom organization and control by teachers, (3) classroom evaluation by teachers, and (4) factors supporting and hindering classroom management. The study concludes that: (1) good lesson planning, (2) creating a conducive learning environment, (3) applying various evaluation methods, and (4) hindering factors related to student ability differences. The supporting factors include adequate facilities and conducive classroom conditions. The implication of this study is the importance of teacher creativity and student innovation in supporting classroom management to improve the learning process.Keywords: Management , Class Management , Learning

Abstract

ABSTRAKThis study aims to describe and analyze the role of school leadership in enhancing the productivity of teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Menjalin. The leadership of the school principal plays a strategic role in creating a supportive and collaborative work environment, which can influence teacher motivation and performance. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, utilizing data collection through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the principal of SMP Negeri 1 Menjalin has demonstrated effective leadership in directing, guiding, and empowering teachers. The principal has successfully internalized the school’s vision and mission through a collaborative approach that involves teachers in decision-making, as well as providing constructive supervision to improve the quality of teaching. Additionally, the principal has facilitated the development of teachers' competencies through various training and professional programs. These efforts have proven to have a positive impact on improving teacher productivity, although there are still challenges in certain areas that need further improvement. This study concludes that adaptive and transformational leadership by the school principal is crucial in fostering a productive, collaborative, and quality-oriented work culture, which ultimately contributes to the enhancement of educational quality at SMP Negeri 1 Menjalin.Kata Kunci: School Leadership; Teacher Productivity Teacher; Competency DevelopmentABSTRACTPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan produktivitas kerja guru di SMP Negeri 1 Menjalin. Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memiliki peran strategis dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang mendukung dan berkolaboratif, yang dapat memengaruhi motivasi serta kinerja guru. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain Penelitian kasus, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah di SMP Negeri 1 Menjalin telah menunjukkan kemampuan dalam mengarahkan, membimbing, dan memberdayakan guru secara efektif. Kepala sekolah berhasil menginternalisasikan visi dan misi sekolah melalui pendekatan kolaboratif yang melibatkan guru dalam pengambilan keputusan, serta memberikan supervisi yang konstruktif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Selain itu, kepala sekolah juga memfasilitasi pengembangan kompetensi guru melalui berbagai pelatihan dan program profesional. Upaya tersebut terbukti berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan produktivitas kerja guru, meskipun masih terdapat tantangan dalam beberapa aspek yang perlu ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang adaptif dan transformasional sangat penting dalam menciptakan budaya kerja yang produktif, kolaboratif, dan berorientasi pada mutu, yang pada akhirnya dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di SMP Negeri 1 Menjalin.Keywords: Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah; Produktivitas Kerja Guru; Pengembangan Kompetensi Guru

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan situasional dan budaya organisasi sekolah terhadap produktivitas guru di MA Imaduddin Kota Pontianak. Metode penelitian adalah studi kasus, alat pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, analisis menggunakan uji t parsial, korelasi bivariate pearson, dan uji f simultan. Temuan utama adalah terdapat pengaruh kepemimpinan situasional terhadap produktivitas guru di MA Imaduddin Kota Pontianak. Dibuktikan dengan nilai Sig. 0,000 lebih kecil dari pada 0,05. Variabel budaya organisasi sekolah berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap produktivitas guru di MA Imaduddin Kota Pontianak. Dibuktikan dengan nilai sig. 0,002 lebih kecil dari pada 0,05. Kesimpulan penelitian ini, kepemimpinan situasional dan budaya organisasi sekolah secara parsial dan simultan berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas guru sebesar 84,1%. Sedangkan sisanya 17,9% (100% - 84,1% = 17,9%) dipengaruhi variabel lain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kepemimpinan transformasional Kepala Sekolah dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru, khususnya di SMA Santo Paulus Pontianak dalam tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Bentuk penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah enam orang, yaitu Kepala Sekolah, Wakil Kepala Sekolah (Waka) Bidang Kurikulum, Waka Kesiswaan, Waka Humas, Pembina OSIS/MPK, dan satu orang guru kelas. Metode pengumpulan data ialah dengan wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan data reduction, data display, dan verifications. Metode pemeriksaan keabsahan data ialah dengan uji credibility, transferability, dependability, dan confirmability. Hasil temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Kepemimpinan transformasional diterapkan dengan cara internalisasi visi dan misi sekolah, memberikan pengaruh karismatik (idealized influence), memberikan perhatian individual (individualized consideration), memberikan inspirasi dan motivasi, mengupayakan program peningkatan profesionalisme guru, memberdayakan guru, membangun budaya kerja sama dan kolaborasi, memberikan penghargaan dan pengakuan, mendukung penggunaan inovasi dan teknologi, dan memberikan dukungan serta sumber daya; 2) Indikator peningkatan profesionalisme guru tampak dalam kedisplinan guru, kolaborasi dan kerja sama antar guru, partisipasi aktif dalam sejumlah program peningkatan profesionalisme, adaptif terhadap perubahan dan penggunaan inovasi teknologi, dan prestasi siswa dalam sejumlah kompetisi akademik maupun non akademik; 3) Tantangan yang dihadapi ialah adanya resistensi sejumlah guru terhadap perubahan yang dihadirkan oleh kepala sekolah. Solusi yang ditempuh untuk mengatasi tantangan ini ialah dengan melakukan pendekatan personal dan mengadakan pelatihan guna meningkatkan adaptasi guru terhadap perubahan terutama terkait dengan pemanfaatan inovasi dan teknologi terbaru. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kepemimpinan transformasional Kepala Sekolah telah diterapkan dengan baik dalam rangka meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di SMA Santo Paulus Pontianak dalam tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Implikasi dari penelitian dapat digunakan sebagai masukan dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru melalui kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the most effective change management strategies for enhancing the performance of educators in junior high schools throughout the Sintang District. Educational institutions, such as junior high schools, are confronted with the demands of a dynamic work environment, as well as technological and social changes. Interviews, documentation, and observations are employed in this qualitative descriptive research to gather data from school principals and instructors regarding the modifications implemented. The research findings indicate that educators' performance is enhanced by the implementation of a change management strategy that adheres to John P. Kotter's model, which involves three stages: terminating outdated policies, initiating change, and implementing new policies. Classroom management, learning methods, student assessment, and educational vision and mission are among the modifications. The successful implementation of new policies requires the active participation of all members of educational institutions, as well as effective communication and strong leadership. It is the conclusion of this investigation that effective change management strategies not only enhance the performance of educators but also equip schools to confront future educational obstacles.

Abstract

This study aims to develop e-modul of waqf literary to the students of State Institute for Islamic Studies of Pontianak (IAIN Pontianak). Research and Development method with ADDIE model was used in this study. There are five steps of ADDIE model were implemented in this study, that is, (1) Analyze, (2) Design, (3) Develop, (4) Implement, and (5) Evaluate. There were 30 Sharia (law) students involved as the subject of the study. Besides, there were also six experts as the validators, they are: design expert, subject matter expert, and media expert.
