Abstract

Studying literary works with an environmental perspective is one way to voice campaigns for the importance of protecting and caring for nature, especially considering the state of nature, which is increasingly being damaged by human activities. One way that can be done to make people aware of the importance of caring for nature again is through writing—the literacy activism movement to the community through language learning with an environmental perspective. In addition to raising awareness about the importance of caring for the environment, this movement also represents the preservation of local wisdom and biodiversity based on local culture and those carried out by ancestors who have a passion for preserving nature through literary works. Thus, the Jawasastra Community initiated a training program for writing Javanese literary works on the environment theme to invite general public to express their anxiety about environmental damage and to remind them again about the importance of humans, who still depend very much on nature. In the end, literature is not only understood as a beautiful series of words. However, it has an advocative nature as a medium to convey messages to the public regarding advice, warnings, and invitations to love all life that God has presented on this earth.

Abstract

This study examines the moral values in the song lyrics of Price Tag by Jessie J. . The song critiques the growing focus on materialism and emphasizes the importance of love, happiness, and authenticity in life. The research aims to identify and analyze the moral messages conveyed through the song, using a qualitative approach to explore the lyrics and categorize the moral themes. The analysis reveals that the song advocates for a shift in societal focus—from the pursuit of wealth and material possessions to prioritizing emotional well-being and human connection. The moral values identified in the lyrics include love and affection, bravery, sympathy, and honesty. The findings suggest that the song calls for a shift in focus—from valuing money and possessions to prioritizing emotional well-being, human relationships, and genuine happiness. The most frequent moral value expressed in the song is love and affection, with the lyrics urging listeners to "pay with love" and to prioritize emotional connections over material wealth. In conclusion, Price Tag offers a critique of materialism while encouraging listeners to value love and unity. The study highlights the power of music as a tool for spreading moral messages and inspiring positive change in society, especially in an era where consumerism often overshadows more meaningful pursuits.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the form and function of registers used in the Heart2Hearts Indonesia fanbase account on social media X by the K-pop fan community, especially the Hatchu (S2U) fandom. The research uses a qualitative approach with observation and documentation methods as data collection techniques. Data in the form of utterances containing registers were classified based on lingual forms (words, phrases, sentences, abbreviations, and acronyms) and analyzed based on the context of meaning and language function using Halliday's theory. The analysis shows that out of 72 lingual data, phrase is the most dominant form used, which is 43 data or 59.72%. Followed by words as much as 12 data (16.67%), sentences as much as 7 data (9.72%), and abbreviations and acronyms each as much as 5 data (6.94%). The dominance of phrases shows the community's tendency to use syntactic structures that are dense in meaning but do not form complete sentences. In terms of language function, of the 78 data analyzed, it was found that the personal function was the most dominant with 39.08%, followed by the representational function at 32.18%. The interactional function accounts for 10.34% and the regulative function for 5.75%. Meanwhile, instrumental and heuristic functions only account for 1.15% each. These results show that language use in fan communities tends to be used to express personal feelings and convey information, with social and directional functions as complements. Thus, it can be concluded that phrasal forms and personal functions characterize the communication patterns of K-pop fan communities on social media, reflecting the expressive, meaning-dense, and interactive characteristics of language.

Abstract

The discourse on the extension of the president's term has sparked controversy in society. This paper aims to describe the controversy and analyze it based on the democratic conditions in Indonesia, as well as its connection to the prevailing constitution in Indonesia. The rules governing this issue are found in Article 7 of the 1945 Constitution, which restrictively regulates term limitations. This paper employs a legal study approach with a qualitative research method based on various printed and online document sources. The analysis reveals that the proposal for the extension of the president's term originates from within the government circles and is subsequently supported by party leaders, citing economic development, political stability, and high levels of satisfaction with the government's performance as grounds. However, opposition arises from political parties, legal experts, academics, survey institutions, students, and even the general public. The rejection is based on inconsistencies with the constitution, survey results indicating a desire for a change in national leadership, concerns about power abuse, and non-conducive socio-economic conditions. An unconstitutional extension of the president's term could lead to a regression of democracy in Indonesia. The constitution plays a crucial role as a barrier to preserve the spirit of Reform, ensure the rotation of national leadership, and serve as a hope for national political change. This paper seeks to fill the gap in analyzing the connection between term limitations, democracy, and the constitution in the discourse on extension.

Abstract

Towards Awakening Indonesia 2045, education plays a central role in forming a golden generation in Indonesia. Unfortunately, Jemekan Village faces challenges, especially in terms of literacy, young people's low interest in reading, lack of open space for reading, and unwise use of gadgets, which has a negative impact on their intellectual development. Apart from that, the lack of youth contribution to improving their quality through organizational activities is also a problem. By applying the ABCD method, IAIN Kediri KKN students play an active role in increasing digital literacy through tutoring and developing soft skills, such as learning Pegon Arabic and speech skills. This activity aims to provide different learning experiences to elementary school students, as well as support the cadre formation of the IPNU/IPPNU organization through literacy and organizational seminars in the digital era. It is hoped that this effort can support the youth of Jemekan Village in improving their intellect and self- esteem.
