Abstract

Humans acquire knowledge based on their abilities as beings who think, feel, and sense. Knowledge is the result of knowing, and this occurs after people sense a certain object. Sensing occurs through the five human senses, namely the senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. Most of human knowledge is obtained through the eyes and ears. The purpose of this study is to describe science from a philosophical view from the perspective of ontology, epistemology, and axiology. Ontology, epistemology, and axiology are the basis for the development of science. Ontology can be defined as the essence of an existence which includes everything that exists. Knowledge comes from one's appreciation and understanding of the situation. Humans as subjects try to express, recognize, and know the objects around them. The object is in the form of reality or facts that function as a stimulus to the awareness possessed by humans. Knowledge is obtained through a cognitive process, where a person must first understand or recognize science to know that knowledge. There are three foundations in knowledge, namely the ontological, epistemological, and axiological foundations.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the effect of learning motivation on students' problem-solving abilities. This research was quantitative research with an experimental method. The research design used was a within-group with a repeated measure type. The subjects were the students of State Islamic University of Antasari Banjarmasin, consisting of 138 people. The research instrument used was a test. The data were analyzed by repeated measures using the SPSS version 25 program with Tests of Within-Subjects analysis. Based on the analysis data, it showed that the Sphericity Assumed value was Sig. 0.00, which was less than 0.05. It meant that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. In other words, there was clear evidence that the treatment results had a significant effect on the development of problem-solving abilities during treatment. Therefore, the results indicated that one of the efforts to improve students' problem-solving skills was to develop student learning motivation. Abstract

Literacy skills are one of the important aspects of education in Indonesia that should be prioritized from the primary level. Science literacy and numeracy to build critical thinking skills and help face global challenges in the 21st century. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model with digital learning media on science literacy and numeracy skills of fifth-grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in East Java Province through a quasi-experimental method. Through cluster random sampling, 61 students were assigned to three research classes: two experimental and one control group. Test questions, questionnaires, observation sheets, and interviews were used as instruments in this study. Data processing was done using a normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using ANOVA. The study results showed a significant value of 0.000 for science literacy and 0.005 for numeracy literacy. Based on the test results of science literacy and numeracy skills, the average value of the class given the PjBL model learning with digital-based learning media is superior to other research classes. So, the PjBL model with digital-based learning media affects students' science literacy and numeracy skills.

Abstract

The increase in public consumption of coffee has resulted in an increase in wasted coffee grounds. Coffee grounds have good content for the skin, so they can be reused as a basic ingredient in soap-making. In the soap making process, the mixing and framing stages can affect the quality of the soap. This study aims to determine the effect of mixing time of 24.5 minutes, 25 minutes, and 25.5 minutes as well as framing time of 3 days, 5 days, and 7 days on the physical and chemical quality of solid soap made from coffee grounds. The physical quality parameters observed are colour, texture, cracking, and foam power. The chemical quality parameters are foam stability, pH, moisture content, and free alkali. The method used was the questionnaire method followed by statistical analysis using the Kruskal Wallis test for physical quality tests and the experimental method followed by statistical analysis using the Two-Way ANOVA test for chemical quality tests. The results showed that all variations in mixing time and framing time had an effect on the physical and chemical quality of solid soap and there were significant differences. The panellists assessed the physical quality of the soap to be attractive, hard, with no cracks, and foamy, while the results of the chemical quality test, the soap produced is safe to use by the quality standards of solid soap with a foam stability range of 82%-97%, pH 10.3-11.8, moisture content 6%-14%, and alkali free 0.03%-0.09%.

Abstract

Science undergoes major changes from time to time. The positive result of this development related to the purpose of knowledge acquisition is that humans become more proficient in fulfilling all their needs. Although it has positive aspects, the development of science also has negative aspects for human life, namely negative elements related to human morality and mentality that are increasingly evident as a result of the difficulty of humans understanding science and technology. The purpose of this research is to better understand the process of science philosophy in the development of current understanding, which is carried out using the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. The review of information sources was taken from the Google Scholar database. for Indonesian journals published between 2021 and 2024. The findings of this research are that the role of philosophy in the development of knowledge is recognized as follows: (1) as a source of criticism and reflection on values and morals (moral-axiological), (2) as a source of knowledge, (3) as a source of expanded knowledge, and (4) as a source of knowledge improvement.

Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution, with disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT, and big data, brings significant changes to the way we live, work, and our cultural values. Philosophy plays a crucial role in preserving fundamental values, ensuring that culture remains adaptable without losing its essence amidst these transformations. Through a critical approach, philosophy aids in designing an inclusive and humanistic future, addressing ethical, epistemological, and ontological challenges. In ethics, philosophy tackles issues like privacy, algorithmic bias, and social inequality through deontological and utilitarian approaches. In epistemology, it promotes digital literacy to distinguish between true and false information, while in ontology, it explores the impact of technology on identity and reality. Furthermore, philosophy contributes to cultural transformation by promoting sustainability and preserving local heritage, guiding technology and culture toward a more just and sustainable future.

Abstract

This article discusses the ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education from a philosophical perspective. AI has revolutionized education by bringing personalization of learning, administrative efficiency, and development of 21st century skills. However, its application presents ethical challenges, including access inequality, data privacy, algorithm bias, and technology dependency. Through literature analysis, this article uses ethical theory approaches, such as utilitarianism, deontology, and virtue ethics, to evaluate the moral and social impact of AI in education. The results show the importance of an ethical framework based on the principles of fairness, transparency, privacy, accountability, and beneficence. This framework aims to support the fair and inclusive use of AI without diminishing the role of humans. This article emphasizes that AI should be equipped with continuous ethical oversight to safeguard human values and ensure its positive impact on education in a holistic manner.

The method used is qualitative, the type of this article is librabry research (library research), a normative approach with a focus on analysing Article 31, data sources are obtained from literature related to mubadalah. The results show that Article 31 of the UUP places the position of husband and wife differently, the husband as the head of the household while the wife is a housewife, this text can be gendered and seems masculine.
