Abstract

This Research of district election committee secretariat as work principle in the regent and vice-regent election of Agam 2015. District Election Committee (DEC) Secretariat for the Agam Regent and Vice-Regent Election 2015 was appointed by the current Agam Regent. The regent who appointed the DEC Secretariat for the election of Agam Regent and Vice-Regent 2015 nominated himself to be the Agam Regent for the 2016-2021 period. This research uses the qualitative descriptive method and is intended to describe and analyze the principles of the electoral management bodies which apply to the DEC Secretariat in carrying out the Agam Regent and Vice-Regent Election 2015. This research uses 7 (seven) core principles of electoral management bodies, which are independent, impartial, integrity, transparent, efficient, professional, and willingness to serve. The result of this research shows that (1) District Election Committee (DEC) Secretariat for the election of Agam Regent and Vice-Regent 2015 could not fully exercise the principles of organizing election and (2) there are 3 factors that influence the DEC Secretariat in carrying out the Agam Regent and Vice-Regent Election 2015, which are regulation, communication, and competence. The appointment of district election committee secretariat by regent or mayor can affect of district election committee secretariat in carrying out the principle.

Abstract

Making sweet chicken eggs using a sugar solution takes 5 days. This study aims to study the effect of the concentration of the sugar solution and the immersion temperature level on the sugar content in broiler eggs after soaking. This study was designed using a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, namely the concentration of sugar solution (15%, 20%, and 25%) and temperature (40 oC, 50 oC, 60 oC, and 70 oC) respectively. Based on this research, each treatment was soaked for 120 hours and repeated three times. The results of this study indicate that the concentration and temperature of immersion affect the sugar content and organoleptic content of sweet chicken eggs. The higher the concentration given, the higher the total sugar content produced in sweet chicken eggs and the higher the immersion temperature, the faster the diffusion of sugar into the eggs. Keywods: diffusion, sugar concentration, Sweet egg, temperature.

Abstract

Water is a natural resource that is needed for the necessities of life for many people, even by all living things on earth. Therefore, water resources must be protected so that they can still be used properly by humans and other living things. In human life always need water, so research is carried out. Modification of the design of the condensation device for the greenhouse model to purify seawater needs to be developed to obtain fresh water. The purpose of this study is to convert seawater using solar energy from the sun using the principle of the greenhouse effect. This research uses the method of designing, assembling, and testing the performance of the tool. The test results of this tool have been able to evaporate sea water in one day ranging from 708 ml - 924 ml, while the water that can be harvested in one day ranges from 190 ml - 300 ml. The energy efficiency obtained in this tool ranges from 7.92% - 9.31%, while the efficiency of the evaporation results from this tool is obtained from a value ranging from 26.98% - 32.46%. This tool has been able to change seawater into fresh water using the principle of the greenhouse effect but is still not able to work optimally. Keywords: Sea water, Fresh water, Greenhouse effect.

Abstract

Tomato is agricultural commodities which very easy to be damaged after the Harvest.  These things happened caused of the handle at the Harvest time which done by the farmer is not exactly right especially in keeping the quality of the tomato.  The purpose of this research is for knowing the influence of the tomatoes quality and the influence varieties for quality of tomatoes during storage period.  This research used design of Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Factorial, the first factor is varieties, tomato varieties used are ordinary tomatoes, Rampai Tomatoes, and Ceri Tomatoes.  The second factor is temperature (temperature 10°C, 20°C and room temperature).  Observations made are changes in weight loss, violence, total solved solids, water content and vitamin C.  The experiment was carried about 3 times. The result of this research show that the storage temperature significant effect on weight lost and statistically significant effect on hardness and total dissolved solids during the storage period, but the temperature storage not effect on Vitamin C levels, moisture content. Tomatoes variety effect on weight loss, level of violence, total dissolved solids, water content and vitamin c levels.  The best temperature used to maintain quality and extend the shelf life of tomatoes is at the storage temperature of 20°C. Keywords: Temperature, Total Dissolved Solids, Variety, Vitamin C, Weight Loss.

Abstract

Soybeans and mung beans are legumes that can be processed into various types of food or complementary foods. One of the processed products made from soybeans or mung bean which can be used as a half product is soybean flour or mung bean flour. This study aims to analyze the effect of differences in RPM on the performance of the disc mill for grinding flour products and the level of fineness of the resulting flour products. The study used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of 2 factors, namely the rotational speed (RPM) and the material. The rotational speed consists of 3 treatment levels, namely 1186 RPM (R1), 1862 RPM (R2), 2495 RPM (R3). The type of material consists of yellow soybeans (K1), black soybeans (K2) and mung beans (K3). The research parameters consisted of flouring capacity, flour moisture content, flour yield and flour fineness. The data were analyzed using the ANOVA test, followed by the BNT test at a significance level of = 5%. The results showed that RPM and material affected the flouring capacity, moisture content and flour yield. The highest flouring capacity was flouring mung beans with a speed of 2495 RPM (R3K3) of 41.77 kg/hour, while the lowest capacity was at a rotational speed of 1186 RPM. for yellow, black and green soybeans. The water content of mung bean flour (10.87%) was higher than that of yellow and black soybean flour. The level of fineness at RPM 2495 on yellow soybeans, black soybeans and green beans produces flour with a medium fineness level. Keywords: Flouring Capacity, Level of Fineness, Mung Bean Flour, Soybean Flour, Yield.

Abstract

Preparation of cassava seedlings (cuttings) is usually done manually by farmers using slash or hand saws which are considered less effective today. With these problems, TEP-1 Type Cassava Seed Cutting Tool was made as a solution in the effort to meet the needs of cassava seedlings whose performance needs to be tested on several types and varieties of cassava plants. In this study a completely factorial completely randomized design (RALF) method was used using two treatment factors. The first treatment factor is the cutting machine RPM tested at three levels including the RPM 3500, RPM 4000, and RPM 4500. The second treatment factor is the cassava plant varieties tested at three levels, namely by using Kasetsart varieties, Thailand varieties, and Garuda varieties. The test results were analyzed by analysis of variance using the SAS program. The working capacity of Petokong tools in the Kasetsart variety is 9900 seedlings / hour at RPM 3500, 10620 seeds / hour at 4000 RPM, and 11340 seedlings / hour at RPM 4500. While in Thailand varieties, the working capacity of Petokong tools is 5500 seedlings / hour at RPM 3500 , 8250 seedlings / hour at 4000 RPM, and 8700 seedlings / hour at 45,000 RPM. The working capacity of the Butters in the Garuda variety is 5220 seeds / hour at 3500 RPM, 6300 seedlings / hour at 4000 RPM, and 7020 seeds / hour at 4500 RPM. Based on analysis of variance, the interaction between engine RPM factors and cassava varieties did not significantly affect work capacity, fuel consumption, and the level of uniformity of the performance results of the Supporting Equipment. Keywords: Cassava, Cassava Seedlings, Petokong, Work Capacity.

Abstract

This study aims to manufacture, and test a machine to accelerate the process of salting eggs by immersing them in a 25% salt solution at a temperature of 60oC-65oC. In this study using the method of assemble, and test the performance of the tool. This egg salting machine consists of several parts including the outer tube, inner tube, nest, lid, and thermostat sensor hole and is equipped with a stove holder. This machine is capable of salting eggs such as duck/duck eggs, chicken eggs, and quail eggs with the principle of a thermos that uses an electric stove as a heater. This salting machine is capable of soaking duck/duck eggs, chicken eggs, and quail eggs in a salt solution of 25% at a temperature of 60-65oC. This machine is similar to a thermos that can maintain a temperature of 60-65oC for 3 hours, and can accommodate 120-133 duck eggs and chicken eggs, and 700-704 quail eggs in one soak. Keywods: Eggs, Mariners, Salting Machine, Temperature.

Abstract

In addition to other horticultural goods, Indonesia is a major producer of the pumpkin fruit that we see all the time. This fruit is often used to make a variety of foods, and it offers several health advantages. The transformation into dried food is a processing method with enormous commercial potential on a global scale. One of the specific post-harvest treatments required to increase the storage life of horticultural fruits like pumpkin is to convert it into chips. Vacuum frying is the preferred technique of processing these chips because it increases crispiness and prolongs the shelf life of the finished product. A new invention for the community at the research site is the use of a vacuum machine to process pumpkin chips. This is due to the practicality of the process and the ease of obtaining the raw ingredients. The purpose of this research is to find out how changing the temperature and pressure affects the pumpkin chip quality. The experiment was carried out with three different pressure levels (-66 cmHg, -68 cmHg, and -70 cmHg) with three different temperature changes (75 °C, 80 °C, and 85 °C). The approach used was a two-factor Randomized Block Design (RBD). Organoleptic evaluation, frying time, water content, and yield are some of the parameters measured. Pumpkin chip water content, frying time, and organoleptic test results are all affected by pressure and temperature, according to the findings. Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country rich in plant varieties. Plants thrive and produce is used to a food source, such as the avocado, which produces fruit that be consumed. One way to maintain the quality, quantity and continuity of horticultural products that must be maintained for a relatively long period of time is to use post-harvest technology assistance so that the condition of fruit and vegetables can be maintained and does not affect changes in prices and consumer demand. The aim of this study is to study the effect of sugar, water and avocado pulp concentrations on the quality of avocado juice powder. The results showed that the yield value was 48%, the avocado juice powder density was 0.65 g/mL. The organoleptic test, which was performed by color, had criteria close to the same, the aroma had criteria like that, the taste was closer to a little sweet. Keywords: Avocado, Post-Harvest Technology, Avocado Powder.

Abstract

Keberlanjutan pengelolaan perikanan dan kelautan menjadi isu krusial di tengah perubahan iklim, degradasi ekosistem, dan peningkatan permintaan sumber daya alam. Laut serta sumber daya perikanan memiliki peran penting dalam keberlangsungan hidup manusia dan kelestarian lingkungan. Namun, eksploitasi sumber daya laut yang meningkat memerlukan perhatian dalam pengelolaan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan generasi mendatang tanpa merusak ekosistem. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai pengelolaan perikanan berkelanjutan melalui Dialog Pro Kelautan yang melibatkan ilmuwan, pembuat kebijakan, serta masyarakat lokal. Metode yang digunakan adalah siaran langsung radio RRI, yang menghadirkan ahli dan praktisi dalam diskusi terbuka tentang pengelolaan perikanan serta kelautan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan respons positif dari peserta yang aktif mengajukan pertanyaan terkait kebijakan serta praktik pengelolaan perikanan. Diskusi ini juga menyoroti tantangan seperti overfishing, polusi laut, dan kerusakan habitat pesisir yang harus diatasi melalui kebijakan berbasis ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Kolaborasi lintas sektor menjadi kunci keberhasilan pengelolaan perikanan berkelanjutan, dengan rekomendasi yang meliputi penguatan regulasi zona tangkap berkelanjutan, peningkatan kapasitas nelayan, serta pemanfaatan teknologi pemantauan berbasis satelit untuk mencegah penangkapan ikan ilegal. Dialog ini berhasil memperkuat kesadaran tentang pentingnya konservasi ekosistem laut dan penerapan kebijakan berbasis ekosistem yang dapat menjamin keberlanjutan perikanan dan kelautan.
