Abstract

This STEM education a new trend of learning innovation. However, there are still many students who have not received integrated STEM education that focuses on developing 21st century skills. So that efforts to create learning innovations with a STEM approach become a challenge for teachers at every level of education, including in elementary schools. This study aims to explore teachers' views and challenges of integrated STEM learning Projecj-Based Learning (PjBL) with Design Thinking strategy and its potential in stimulating creative thinking and entrepreneurship. This study used the Cross-Sectional Survey methodology Explanatory Mixed Method design that has involved 250 elementary school teachers in Lampung Province. The results showed that most elementary school teachers do not have sufficient knowledge on how to develop STEM-PjBL learning innovation scenarios, especially in integrating Design thinking strategies in an effort to stimulate students' creative thinking and entrepreneurial skills. However, they believe that STEM-PjBL integrated with Design Thinking will provide learning experiences that stimulate students to think (minds-on) and be actively involved in project completion (hands-on). In addition, they also think that STEM-PjBL has the potential to prepare students to have a number of creative spaces and habituation in the classroom, especially in recycling plastic waste.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 demands that teachers master ICT literacy, but many teachers still have difficulty integrating technology into learning. This Community Service Program addresses this gap by conducting Augmented Reality (AR)-based training for 31 primary school teachers in the Teacher Working Group (TWG) of Primary School Region 6, Gedong Tataan District, Indonesia. The training was conducted in three stages: Preparation, Training, and Post-Training. The workshop results showed that AR integration significantly improves digital literacy, creativity, and the ability of teachers to develop interactive learning media. The teachers showed increased proficiency in using, creating, and integrating ICT-based learning materials, especially AR applications for science education. This initiative highlights the potential of AR technology in improving teacher competence and promoting innovative teaching strategies. These findings emphasise the importance of AR-based training in preparing educators to face the demands of 21st-century learning.

Abstract

The displacement of otoliths into the semicircular canals causes the most common type of peripheral vertigo, known as Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). This condition can disrupt balance and increase the risk of falls, especially when the head position changes suddenly. The purpose of this case report is to determine how effective the combination of Brandt-Daroff exercises and hydrotherapy is in improving balance in BPPV patients. A 69-year-old woman with vertigo underwent the Dix-Hallpike maneuver and an intervention consisting of Brandt-Daroff exercises and hydrotherapy twice weekly under supervision for six weeks. Balance evaluation was conducted before and after therapy using the M-CTSIB (for static balance) and TUG-T (for dynamic balance). Following the intervention, the TUG-T score decreased from 21.5 to 18, indicating improved mobility and patient response. The M-CTSIB score also increased significantly, particularly for eyes closed and unstable surfaces, from 15 to 22. Conditions without visual support also improved, indicating good vestibular adaptation. Patients reported no longer experiencing vertigo when changing positions and being able to engage in activities without fear of falling. These results suggest that Brandt-Daroff exercises and hydrotherapy can serve as non-pharmacological methods to improve balance and quality of life for patients with BPPV.

Abstract

This study aims to describe e-LKPD based on PjBL-STEM in improving students' scientific literacy, determine the feasibility and readability of e-LKPD, and the development of students' scientific literacy after its implementation. The study used the R&D method with the ADDIE model and a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design approach. The research subjects consisted of grade XI students of MAN 1 Kab. Semarang. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and written tests. The e-LKPD with the STEM approach was compiled according to the PjBL syntax and contained indicators of scientific literacy. The validation results showed a very feasible category, while readability was in the very good category. The increase in scientific literacy of students in the experimental class was higher than in the control class. The conclusion shows that e-LKPD based on PjBL-STEM is effective in improving students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

An analysis of the development of 4Cs-oriented learning for elementary school teachers in the post-COVID-19 pandemic needs to be carried out to determine the level of success in implementing learning during the Covid-19 pandemic while maintaining the quality of learning outcomes oriented to 4Cs skills. These four skills form the basis of student readiness in dealing with the rapid development of science and technology that is occurring in the 21st century. The results of a preliminary study by researchers on nine SD Gugus Raden Intan Kec. Candipuro, South Lampung Regency, Indonesia, found three main problems (1) the learning objectives represented in the learning outcomes of students were not 4Cs oriented: (2) teachers in implementing online learning during the pandemic were not oriented towards achieving 4Cs skills. (3) teachers have not made professional development demands to develop interactive media, interesting methods, and several learning systems that accommodate 4Cs skills oriented learning effectiveness during a pandemic. The sample in this study involved 27 lower grade teachers who taught grades 1, 2, and 3 at SD Gugus Raden Intan Kec. Candipuro, South Lampung Regency, Indonesia. The focus of learning development analysis in this study aims to obtain an intervention that can help improve teacher competence in developing learning that is oriented towards the achievement of the 4Cs skills after the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to develop a higher-order thinking skills-based assessment instrument to measure fourth-grade elementary students’ critical and creative thinking in Science and Social Studies. Using the ADDIE R&D model, the instrument was validated by content, evaluation, and language experts, tested for readability by students, and evaluated for practicality by teachers. Results showed high validity (82%), very good readability (84.58%), and high practicality (93.6%). Student testing indicated stronger performance in critical thinking (interpretation, analysis, evaluation) than in creative thinking (flexibility, fluency, elaboration, originality). The instrument is thus valid, practical, and effective for identifying students' higher-order thinking skills
