Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 demands that teachers master ICT literacy, but many teachers still have difficulty integrating technology into learning. This Community Service Program addresses this gap by conducting Augmented Reality (AR)-based training for 31 primary school teachers in the Teacher Working Group (TWG) of Primary School Region 6, Gedong Tataan District, Indonesia. The training was conducted in three stages: Preparation, Training, and Post-Training. The workshop results showed that AR integration significantly improves digital literacy, creativity, and the ability of teachers to develop interactive learning media. The teachers showed increased proficiency in using, creating, and integrating ICT-based learning materials, especially AR applications for science education. This initiative highlights the potential of AR technology in improving teacher competence and promoting innovative teaching strategies. These findings emphasise the importance of AR-based training in preparing educators to face the demands of 21st-century learning.

Abstract

The displacement of otoliths into the semicircular canals causes the most common type of peripheral vertigo, known as Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). This condition can disrupt balance and increase the risk of falls, especially when the head position changes suddenly. The purpose of this case report is to determine how effective the combination of Brandt-Daroff exercises and hydrotherapy is in improving balance in BPPV patients. A 69-year-old woman with vertigo underwent the Dix-Hallpike maneuver and an intervention consisting of Brandt-Daroff exercises and hydrotherapy twice weekly under supervision for six weeks. Balance evaluation was conducted before and after therapy using the M-CTSIB (for static balance) and TUG-T (for dynamic balance). Following the intervention, the TUG-T score decreased from 21.5 to 18, indicating improved mobility and patient response. The M-CTSIB score also increased significantly, particularly for eyes closed and unstable surfaces, from 15 to 22. Conditions without visual support also improved, indicating good vestibular adaptation. Patients reported no longer experiencing vertigo when changing positions and being able to engage in activities without fear of falling. These results suggest that Brandt-Daroff exercises and hydrotherapy can serve as non-pharmacological methods to improve balance and quality of life for patients with BPPV.

Abstract

This study examines elementary school teachers’ perceptions, readiness, and challenges in using and developing interactive teaching modules based on pedagogical deep learning integrated with Problem-Based Learning (STEM-PBL) to support scientific literacy and communication. This study adopted an exploratory cross-sectional design, collecting data from 100 elementary teachers in Lampung Province, Indonesia, through online questionnaires, document analysis, and in-depth interviews. The findings indicate that while most teachers demonstrate positive perceptions toward interactive Deep Learning–STEM-PBL modules, their readiness to implement such approaches varies and is constrained by limited pedagogical competence, instructional design skills, and professional development opportunities. Document analysis further reveals a clear perception–practice gap, as most teaching modules do not yet explicitly integrate deep learning principles and STEM-PBL stages. Key challenges include insufficient training, time constraints, limited instructional references, and inadequate institutional support. Based on these findings, this study proposes a Teacher Readiness Framework for Deep Learning–STEM-PBL, which conceptualizes readiness as the interaction between teachers’ perceptions, multidimensional pedagogical capacities, and structural–institutional conditions that influence instructional practice outcomes.
