Abstract

Healthcare facilities are work environments with a high risk of accidents and occupational diseases, both for healthcare workers, support staff, and patients. Exposure to biological, chemical, physical, ergonomic, and psychosocial hazards demands the structured and sustainable implementation of an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management System. However, in reality, the implementation of OHS in healthcare facilities still faces various obstacles, such as limited knowledge, low procedural compliance, and a lack of a work safety culture. This Community Service activity aims to increase the knowledge, awareness, and preparedness of healthcare workers in implementing the OHS system in healthcare facilities. Implementation methods include OHS counseling, interactive discussions, occupational risk identification, OHS implementation simulations, and evaluation through pre- and post-tests. The results of the activity indicate a significant increase in healthcare workers' knowledge and attitudes regarding the importance of OHS implementation. This program is expected to support the creation of a safe, healthy, and productive work environment in healthcare facilities.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The utilization of the environment as a source of health through Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) is a promotive and preventive effort to improve public health. However, the use of TOGA in communities remains suboptimal due to limited knowledge and skills in cultivation and utilization. This community service program aimed to improve community knowledge and skills in planting and utilizing TOGA through a Green Village movement. The methods included education, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and mentoring. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills in cultivating and utilizing TOGA. This program proved effective in increasing community awareness of the use of medicinal plants as an alternative treatment and environmental health strategy. Keywords: TOGA, Green Village, Education, Community Service ABSTRAK Pemanfaatan lingkungan sebagai sumber kesehatan melalui Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) merupakan salah satu upaya promotif dan preventif dalam meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat. Abstract

Digital transformation has become a strategic instrument for improving the quality of public services, including higher education services. The Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region XIV, which oversees Papua, West Papua, Central Papua, Papua Pegunungan, South Papua, and Southwest Papua, faces unique challenges related to geographical conditions, infrastructure limitations, and disparities in digital capacity. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of public services through digital transformation in higher education services at LLDIKTI Region XIV. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis involving institutional policies, digital service systems, and service implementation practices. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that digital transformation has improved service efficiency, transparency, and accessibility, particularly in administrative and academic services. However, service effectiveness has not been fully optimized due to limitations in human resource readiness, technological infrastructure, budget allocation, system integration, and organizational resistance to change. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening digital governance, enhancing human resource capacity, and developing adaptive policies that reflect the characteristics of eastern Indonesia. This study contributes to the development of effective and inclusive digital public service policies in higher education.
