Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dan membandingkan efektivitas pembelajaran keterampilan menyimak antara metode daring dan luring menggunakan desain kualitatif studi kepustakaan. Berdasarkan analisis terhadap 25 artikel jurnal, ditemukan bahwa secara umum metode luring lebih unggul dalam menjaga stabilitas motivasi, kualitas interaksi sosial, dan pemahaman konsep yang mendalam , namun metode daring menunjukkan efektivitas yang signifikan secara spesifik pada keterampilan menyimak sastra ketika didukung oleh media audio asinkronus seperti podcast yang memungkinkan fitur pengulangan. Kendala utama pembelajaran daring meliputi distraksi digital dan kelelahan fisik, sedangkan luring lebih efektif menjaga fokus atensi , sehingga penelitian ini merekomendasikan pendekatan Blended Learning sebagai strategi adaptif untuk mengoptimalkan pembelajaran menyimak di era transisi.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate methods to enhance student engagement and attentiveness during classroom instruction. Specifically, it explores the effectiveness of the talking stick learning model in fostering active listening among students. Adopting a qualitative approach with a phenomenological lens, this study examines the experiences of a group of students in utilizing talking sticks during classroom interactions. Through direct observation and interviews, data were collected to assess students' level of involvement, focus, and participation following the implementation of the talking stick model. The findings reveal that the majority of students (29 out of 32) demonstrated improved listening skills with the implementation of the talking stick method, indicating its potential efficacy in enhancing classroom dynamics. This study sheds light on innovative strategies to promote student engagement and active learning.

Abstract

This research investigates the factors influencing the use of Indonesian and regional languages among vocational high school students. Utilizing a qualitative research design and a case study approach, the study explores the impact of regional languages on students' use of Indonesian during daily school interactions. Data were gathered through observations and interviews with students, which were then subjected to a detailed case study analysis. The findings indicate that students often code-switch between Indonesian and regional languages during the learning process. While regional languages are predominantly used in peer interactions for better mutual understanding, Indonesian is more frequently employed in teacher-student interactions, particularly when answering questions. Despite teachers' efforts to promote the use of Indonesian, regional languages persist in informal settings. This study underscores the dynamic relationship between regional languages and Indonesian, highlighting the necessity for language policies that support multilingualism within educational settings

Abstract

This study evaluates the impact of the storytelling method on learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects for junior high school students. Through a combination of observations and field notes, significant improvements were observed in students' story comprehension, speaking skills, and creativity. The storytelling method was effective as it engaged students in an interesting and relevant context, boosting their motivation to learn. Expressive storytelling helped students understand and remember storylines better and improved their speaking skills by providing practice opportunities in a supportive atmosphere. Additionally, storytelling fostered creativity by encouraging imagination and improvisation. The study concludes that storytelling enhances students' motivation, interest, speaking skills, listening comprehension, and overall communication abilities. Therefore, it is an effective approach for Indonesian language learning at the junior high school level.

Abstract

Research shows that PBL, which places students as active subjects in learning by emphasizing problem solving, provides better results in improving vocabulary understanding compared to conventional learning. Students who engage in PBL tend to have higher scores because they are actively involved in the learning process, where they are faced with challenging problems and given the opportunity to find their own solutions. In an effort to increase the effectiveness of the learning process, the use of learning models is crucial. The right learning model plays an important role in achieving educational goals. The purpose of this article is to compare conventional learning models and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in understanding Indonesian vocabulary. By using qualitative methods. However, there are several obstacles in implementing PBL, such as lack of familiarity of students and teachers with this model and time constraints. However, the effectiveness of a learning model does not only depend on the model itself, but is also influenced by various other factors such as student characteristics, the quality of teacher teaching, and school environmental conditions. Thus, selecting a learning model that suits students' needs and characteristics is the key to achieving effective learning goals and increasing understanding of Indonesian vocabulary.

Abstract

This study examines a community-based digital education synergy model that integrates parents, teachers, and community support to strengthen children’s character and language skills in Gunungsitoli City. Focusing on listening, speaking, reading, and writing, the research employed a mixed-methods design with a dominant qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and a short micro-intervention involving technology-assisted language tasks. Participants included teachers, parents, students, and community informants from two elementary schools in rural settings with limited internet access, device availability, and varying levels of digital literacy. The findings show that children’s language development in the digital era is influenced not merely by technology use, but by the quality, consistency, and direction of adult guidance. Descriptive results indicate strong performance in gadget supervision (mean 3.58), literacy support (mean 3.57), and content mentoring and communication (mean 3.44), while parent-school collaboration showed the lowest score (mean 3.26), indicating the need for stronger two-way communication. The study formulates the 3P Cycle model Planning, Mentoring, and Assessment supported by four pillars: home-school communication, content curation and gadget governance, meaningful language practice, and community support. Girls tended to show stronger verbal expression and interpersonal communication, suggesting the importance of gender-sensitive mentoring strategies. The study concludes that technology becomes educationally effective when used wisely, consistently, and collaboratively. Strengthening home-school-community partnerships can foster children’s language competence, prosocial behavior, digital ethics, and safer learning ecosystems in the digital era. Practical recommendations include digital parenting training, reflective feedback journals, and community literacy spaces for sustained support.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan proses penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks anekdot siswa kelas X-Manajemen Perkantoran SMK Negeri 1 Sawo. Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus; setiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 17 siswa. Data diperoleh melalui tes menulis teks anekdot, observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, catatan lapangan, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif melalui perhitungan nilai rata-rata, ketuntasan klasikal, dan persentase aktivitas, serta secara kualitatif melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang konsisten. Nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat dari 62,8 pada Siklus I menjadi 82,5 pada Siklus II; ketuntasan klasikal meningkat dari 23,5% menjadi 82,4%; aktivitas siswa meningkat dari 23,55% menjadi 82,35%; dan aktivitas guru meningkat dari 82,15% menjadi 96,45%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa PBL membantu siswa mengaitkan masalah sosial dengan gagasan humor-kritik dalam teks anekdot, meningkatkan partisipasi belajar, dan memperbaiki kualitas tulisan. Kontribusi penelitian ini terletak pada penguatan praktik pembelajaran menulis berbasis masalah di SMK, khususnya dalam pembelajaran teks anekdot yang menuntut kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif, dan komunikatif.
