Abstract

Bimbingan ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah belajar membaca dan meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pada peserta didik tingkat dasar. Perubahan kurikulum membuat berbagai aspek di dunia pendidikan mengalami kesulitan dalam pengembangan kemampuan membaca peserta didik di Tingkat Sekolah Dasar. Kurikulum merdeka sebagai kurikulum terbaru lebih menuntut peserta didik untuk aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Banyaknya bahan terbuka seperti LKS dan buku cetak tidak cukup untuk membuat kemampuan membaca peserta didik meningkat secara spontan. Bahan ajar itu juga sebagai usaha mem aksi malkan peran peserta didik dalam memahami materi , tetapi akibat belum bisa m embaca , pemahaman mereka terhambat dan juga mengalami ketertinggalan materi pelajaran. Kegiatan membaca ditingkat Sekolah Dasar adalah salah satu permasalahan yang sering ditemukan. Dimana pada tingkatannya inilah dasar pengembangan kemampuan membaca untuk memahami berbagai mata pelajaran lainnya. bantuan yang terjadi pada peserta didik dalam membaca juga disebabkan oleh tidak adanya bimbingan belajar yang bersifat lebih individual tentang pengenalan abjad di sekolah. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam belajar membaca dibentuklah sebuah metode bacagaha di bimbel keluarga pada tingkatan Sekolah Dasar. Metode bacagaha digunakan sebagai metode peningkatan kemampuan membaca. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam bimbingan ini yaitu Service Learning (SL). Hasil dari bimbingan ini cukup memuaskan dibuktikan dengan kemajuan tingkat kemampuan membaca peserta didik.

Abstract

Competency management of PAI teachers is not only related to theoretical understanding of religion, but also their ability to deliver subject matter in an interesting way, motivate students to apply religious values in their lives, and create a learning environment that supports students' moral development in shaping students' morals. The purpose of this study is to explain the Competency Management of PAI Teachers in the Formation of Moral Character of Students of SMPN 2 Sintoga Padang Pariaman. The method used in this study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The case study approach is a powerful tool for exploring a particular situation or event carefully, deeply, and in detail. This approach allows researchers to gain a better understanding of the complexity and dynamics of a phenomenon or problem in a real context. The results of this study show that the role of PAI teachers, the initiatives and teaching methods used, as well as the positive impacts, we can appreciate the school's efforts in shaping better student characters. However, challenges and measures of success must also be considered so that PAI teachers' competency management can continue to improve and contribute to students' educational and moral development in the future. PAI teachers' competency management plays a key role in shaping students' good character. With a strong commitment, schools can continuously improve this process and make a significant positive contribution to students' religious education and moral development in the future. Abstrak Manajemen kompetensi guru PAI tidak hanya berkaitan dengan pemahaman teoritis agama, tetapi juga kemampuan mereka dalam menyampaikan materi pelajaran dengan cara yang menarik, memotivasi siswa untuk menerapkan nilai-nilai agama dalam kehidupan mereka, dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung perkembangan moral siswa dalam membentuk akhlakul karimah siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang Manajemen Kompetensi Guru PAI dalam Pembentukan Akhlakul Karimah Siswa SMPN 2 Sintoga Padang Pariaman. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pendekatan studi kasus adalah alat yang kuat untuk menjelajahi situasi atau peristiwa tertentu dengan cermat, mendalam, dan rinci. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang kompleksitas dan dinamika suatu fenomena atau masalah dalam konteks nyata. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya peran guru PAI, inisiatif dan metode pengajaran yang digunakan, serta dampak positifnya dalam pembentukan akhlak siswa. Dengan komitmen yang kuat, sekolah dapat terus meningkatkan proses ini dan memberikan kontribusi positif yang signifikan pada pendidikan agama dan pembentukan akhlakul karimah siswa di masa depan.

Abstract

This research is based on the author's observations regarding the increase in airfare prices for Eid homecoming at Minangkabau International Airport. High ticket prices has been ongoing since the era of Tabing Airport, which the author attributes to the strong sense of familial bonds among the Minangkabau people. While some airline passengers know this problematic, the author was intrigued to investigate it. The study focuses on the Padang-Jakarta route, a popular route throughout the year, with the main question being the causes of the high ticket prices on this route. The methodology used is library research. Data analysis relies on regulations from the Ministry of Transportation and examines airline behavior during peak seasons. Data were obtained through library research, direct field observations, and interviews. The research concluded that airlines did not raise fares beyond the regulatory upper limit. Instead, the increase in ticket prices is due to market strategies, service classification modifications, transit ticket prices, and the Online Travel Agent (OTA) system that uses automatic ticket tracking. The main reasons people continue to choose air travel for this preferred route are time efficiency, comfort, and prestige. The author suggests anticipating high ticket prices for Eid homecoming by booking tickets well in advance, looking for promotional prices, utilizing credit card facilities, or using ground transportation to Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport in Pekanbaru and then traveling to Jakarta.

Abstract

This service aims to describe the use of the digital-based YPSM (Yayasan Pendidikan Surau Minang) application at SDIT Padang Islamic School as an effort to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the school administration system. The method used in this service is service learning. The learning procedure in experiential learning consists of 4 stages, namely; real experience stage, reflection observation stage, conceptualization stage, and implementation stage. This includes ensuring optimal understanding for all participants, consisting of student guardians and teachers. The results of this service showed that the training provided was able to improve the understanding and skills of the Student Guardians in operating the YPSM (Yayasan Pendidikan Surau Minang) application. With this socialization, it is hoped that the implementation of this application can accelerate access to information, increase administrative transparency, and strengthen communication between the school and parents. With this training, it is hoped that schools can be better prepared to adopt digital technology to support a more modern and efficient education system

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning is often faced with the challenge of low student enthusiasm, which has an impact on the lack of active participation and understanding of the material. One of the efforts to overcome this problem is by applying ice breaking as a fun and interactive learning strategy. This study aims to determine the effect of using ice breaking on students' learning enthusiasm in PAI learning. The approach used was quantitative with a quasi experimental design, with a sample of 40, namely the experimental group that received treatment and the control group that did not receive treatment. Data were collected through questionnaires, then statistically analyzed using t-test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the learning spirit of students who were given ice breaking and those who were not. Students in the experimental group showed increased motivation, engagement, and higher enthusiasm during the learning process. in this finding, the use of ice breaking can be an effective strategy in creating a more interesting learning atmosphere for PAI. These results serve as a reference for teachers in integrating more creative approaches to build students' learning enthusiasm in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the contextualization strategy of religious content by STKIP Abdi Pendidikan Payakumbuh students through social media in order to strengthen understanding and internalization of moderate and contextual Islamic values. This research uses a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that students not only act as passive consumers, but also as active, adaptive, and reflective producers of religious content. Contextualization strategies are carried out through the use of communicative and dialogical language, the selection of visual formats that are attractive and in accordance with the characteristics of digital platforms, and the delivery of Islamic values that are reflective, moderate, and relevant to contemporary issues. However, this process is not free from various challenges, such as limited digital and religious literacy, time constraints, algorithmic pressure, and social resistance in the form of negative comments. This research recommends the importance of strengthening digital Islamic literacy, creative media training, and the integration of digital da'wah in student character development programs in higher education.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut guru berinovasi, termasuk guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Namun, banyak guru PAI SD di Kecamatan Palupuh, Kabupaten Agam, masih kesulitan mengadopsi media canva. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kreativitas dan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan pemanfaatan canva dengan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR), mencakup pemetaan awal, membangun hubungan kemanusiaan, penentuan agenda riset untuk perubahan sosial, pemetaan partisipatif, merumuskan masalah kemanusiaan, menyusun strategi gerakan, pengorganisasian masyarakat, melancarkan aksi perubahan, membangun pusat belajar masyarakat, refleksi, dan meluaskan skala gerakan dan dukungan. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan guru, terbukti dari skor post-test yang naik dari 55% menjadi 87%. Guru lebih percaya diri merancang pembelajaran, yang meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa. Selain itu, pelatihan mendorong kreativitas guru dalam menyusun materi ajar serta membentuk komunitas berbagi media ajar sebagai bentuk kolaborasi. Meski demikian, kendala seperti akses internet, perangkat terbatas, dan waktu menjadi tantangan. Diperlukan pelatihan lanjutan, dukungan infrastruktur, dan penguatan komunitas agar inovasi berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This community service aims to evaluate students' ability to enhance the quality of their Qur'an memorization through the implementation of the muraja'ah method at Pondok Tahfidz Ustadz Mahyuddin (PTUM), Padang City. PTUM is an Islamic educational institution that actively contributes to the development of Qur'anic literacy within the community. The muraja'ah method, which involves repeated review of previously memorized verses, is employed to ensure retention and prevent forgetting. The study utilizes the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, conducted in three stages. First, during the preparation stage, students are divided into groups based on their reading and memorization proficiency, and the necessary resources for muraja'ah activities are prepared. Second, in the implementation stage, activities begin with a joint prayer, followed by tahsin (improving reading quality), muraja'ah (reviewing memorized verses), and ziyadah (adding new memorization). Third, the evaluation stage involves regular assessments recorded on individual memorization papers to monitor progress. The results demonstrate that the muraja'ah method effectively improves students' memorization quality. This is reflected in the increased accuracy, fluency, and retention of their memorization. Based on the mentoring activities conducted, it can be concluded that the muraja'ah method serves as an effective approach to enhance and sustain the quality of Qur'an memorization.

Abstract

The development of global education reflects a paradigm shift in curriculum design toward a deep learning approach, which emphasizes critical, reflective, and contextual learning. In the context of Islamic Religious Education (IRE), this approach creates opportunities to integrate religious moderation values in a transformative and relevant way in response to contemporary challenges. This study aims to examine global trends in deep learning curriculum and analyze its relevance to strengthening moderation values in IRE in Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative descriptive literature review of national and international publications between 2020 and 2024. The results reveal that deep learning strategies can foster students' critical thinking, tolerance, and adaptability in facing diversity. Scholars such as Michael Fullan and Andy Hargreaves are widely recognized for their work in deep learning education, while in the field of religious moderation in Indonesia, figures such as Siti Musdah Mulia, Nasaruddin Umar, and Budhy Munawar-Rachman have made significant contributions to promoting inclusive Islamic values. This study recommends integrating deep learning principles into the IRE curriculum as a strategy to develop a moderate, contextual, and socially responsive model of religious education.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini berfokus pada upaya peningkatan kemampuan literasi siswa melalui program pembelajaran membaca di SMKN Negeri 1 Padang. Rendahnya minat baca dan kemampuan literasi siswa menjadi permasalahan utama yang dihadapi oleh institusi pendidikan tersebut. Program pengabdian ini dilaksanakan selama enam bulan dengan menerapkan berbagai strategi pembelajaran membaca yang efektif, meliputi teknik SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review), teknik DRTA (Directed Reading Thinking Activity), pembelajaran berbasis digital, dan kegiatan pojok literasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini meliputi pelatihan guru, workshop literasi untuk siswa, pendampingan intensif, dan evaluasi berkala. Hasil yang diharapkan dari program ini adalah peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa, pengembangan budaya literasi di lingkungan sekolah, dan penguatan kompetensi guru dalam mengajarkan keterampilan membaca. Pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan komprehensif dan sistematis dalam pembelajaran membaca dapat memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan literasi siswa dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung perkembangan keterampilan literasi secara berkelanjutan.
