Abstract

Spirituality in education has recently become an interesting topic and discussion in the field, demanding theory, practice, and even appreciation and real action. Education in Indonesia, especially religious education and Spirituality, as early as possible becomes the foundation and dimension of life with a fragmented understanding of experience and encounters with religious traditions. This article aims to investigate students’ understandings, both theory and perception, of Spirituality and religious education in the context of education. In-depth, structured, and semi-structured interviews were conducted for 120 students using a qualitative research design. They were led in this situation by using a Google form as a lens to gauge their comprehension of the research focus. The research results have shown some points. First, Spirituality and religious education are ill-defined abstract concepts. Second, there is a correlation between Spirituality and religious instruction. Third, religion and Spirituality are like an esophagus, an oasis in the digital age. Spirituality and religious education are polarized contextually.

Abstract

The ability to speak well and purposefully must be instilled in children from an early age. This is possible through the learning process at school using interesting learning methods and media according to the child's cognitive style. Because spoken language conveyed through speaking is a tool for expressing thoughts and feelings and a means of communication between humans. This will help improve children's speaking ability. This research aims to determine the differences in speaking abilities between students using the unplugged activity method and those using the beyond center and circle times (BCCT). Determine the differences in speaking ability between students with a field-dependence cognitive style and those with a field-independence cognitive style. The researcher tests the interaction between learning methods and cognitive style regarding speaking ability. This research uses an experimental design. The subjects were PGRI Jambon Kindergarten students (TK B1) and (TK B2) who studied the theme of Animals, totaling 44 children. The cognitive style was measured using a questionnaire based on the Children Embedded Figure Test (CEFT). Abstract

Learning content has several forms of presentation, both visual and verbal, but students have different characteristics in processing information depending on their learning preferences. Some students have difficulty processing information without knowing what to do. This happens because students do not yet understand the characteristics of their learning styles. This research aims to study the VVQ instrument used by engineering students by measuring the validity and reliability of the VVQ instrument used. This research uses a statistical quantitative method approach to measure the validity and reliability of the instrument. The instrument development process goes through three stages: analysis and formulation of a literature review, development of the VVQ instrument, and measurement of the validity and reliability of the VVQ instrument. Development of question items based on pre-arranged and customized content categories. The development of VVQ in this study shows the validity value of rcount > rtable, rcount > 0.1966 for each item, and the Person Moment (rxy) correlation is moderate (0.40 < rxy < 0.60) and high (0.60 < rxy < 0.80 ). This research instrument is reliable because the data shows Cronbach's Alpha value rcount > rtable; 0.817 > 0.6319, and the difficulty level is proportional (medium and high). The VVQ instrument achieves validity and reliability based on the analysis items that have been measured. The implications of this research have a significant impact on adjusting learning content to be more personalized based on student learning preferences.
