Abstract

Implementation of technology-based education financial management in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia can provide an effective solution for managing funds. however, the lack of education financial management is reflected in the use of applications that are not yet optimal, which results in the data collection, processing and data search processes being less efficient. this research aims not only to determine the capacity of Islamic boarding schools in Klaten in facing changes in digital-based education financial management, but also to describe and analyze digital-based education financial management at Islamic boarding schools in Klaten. the research method used is descriptive qualitative research. the results of this research show that Islamic boarding schools in Klaten have implemented digital-based education financial management with the syahriah application. the process involves planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring. the benefits of digital-based payments provide convenience for guardians of santri, including payment of tuition fees, top-ups, and monitoring of arrears. for treasurers/staff, using this application helps in checking, minimizing errors, providing payment notifications, and increasing the efficiency of financial reports. even though there are obstacles such as not understanding its use, outreach to student guardians and a quick response from BSI is a solution to these technical obstacles. the conclusion from this research is that the Islamic boarding school in Klaten has succeeded in implementing digital-based financial management providing significant benefits for student guardians and the treasurer/staff. even though there are technical obstacles, the solution presented is quite suitable.

Abstract

The role of school leadership is pivotal in fostering teacher professionalism, which directly influences the quality of education. However, challenges such as teacher resistance to change and limited motivation often hinder this effort. This study aims to explore effective school leadership practices in enhancing teacher professionalism through a literature review of four Scopus-indexed articles from 2020-2025. The study follows the PRISMA framework for article selection. Findings reveal that effective leadership is characterized by transformational, participative, transactional, and relationship-oriented styles. Among these, transformational leadership is the most dominant, as it aligns with the principal's vision to motivate and empower teachers. Strategies such as providing ongoing training, involving teachers in decision-making, offering performance-based rewards, and fostering emotional commitment were frequently applied. The study concludes that adaptive and collaborative leadership styles play a significant role in overcoming challenges and enhancing teacher professionalism, thus improving the overall quality of education.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the principal's supervision management in enhancing the pedagogical competence of teachers at Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (vocational high school) or SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan, focusing on four main stages: planning, organizing, implementation, and monitoring of supervision. Design/methods/approach – This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research was conducted from February to April 2025, with data collected through in-depth interviews with three informants: the principal, the vice-principal for curriculum affairs, and a teacher, as well as through documentation related to school supervision. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, while analysis was performed using the Miles & Huberman model, which includes the stages of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Findings – The supervision management at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan is conducted systematically through: (1) planning that emphasizes targets for pedagogical competence development, (2) fair and transparent organization among the supervision team, (3) communicative implementation supported by digital technology, such as WhatsApp for coaching and discussions, and (4) adaptive monitoring through routine evaluations and needs-based follow-ups for teachers. Supervision serves not only as a control mechanism but also as an effective tool for professional development that fosters improvements in teaching quality. Research implications/limitations – These findings can be adopted by other vocational high schools to strengthen teacher pedagogical competence by enhancing two-way communication, utilizing digital technology, and providing continuous coaching. This study is limited to a single school with a small number of informants; therefore, the generalization of its findings should be approached with caution. Originality/value – This research offers an empirical framework for the implementation of principal supervision in a vocational high school setting by integrating digital media into the teacher coaching process. This approach enriches the literature on educational supervision in Indonesia, particularly within the context of vocational education, which demands rapid adaptation to technological advancements and industry needs. Abstrak Tujuan – Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji secara mendalam manajemen supervisi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan, dengan fokus pada empat tahap utama: perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan supervisi. Desain/metode/pendekatan – Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Februari–April 2025, dengan data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap tiga narasumber: kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, dan seorang guru, serta dokumentasi terkait supervisi sekolah. Validitas data dijaga melalui triangulasi sumber, sedangkan analisis dilakukan dengan model Miles & Huberman yang mencakup tahap pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan – Manajemen supervisi di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan berjalan sistematis melalui: (1) perencanaan yang menitikberatkan pada target pengembangan kompetensi pedagogik, (2) pengorganisasian yang adil dan transparan di antara tim supervisi, (3) pelaksanaan yang komunikatif dengan dukungan teknologi digital seperti WhatsApp untuk coaching dan diskusi, serta (4) pengawasan adaptif melalui evaluasi rutin dan tindak lanjut berbasis kebutuhan guru. Supervisi tidak hanya menjadi alat kontrol, tetapi juga sarana pembinaan profesional yang efektif dalam mendorong peningkatan kualitas pengajaran. Implikasi/batasan penelitian – Temuan ini dapat diadopsi oleh sekolah menengah kejuruan lain untuk memperkuat kompetensi pedagogik guru melalui penguatan komunikasi dua arah, pemanfaatan teknologi digital, dan pembinaan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini terbatas pada satu sekolah dengan jumlah informan yang sedikit, sehingga generalisasi temuan perlu dilakukan dengan hati-hati. Keaslian/nilai – Penelitian ini menawarkan kerangka empiris implementasi supervisi kepala sekolah pada lingkungan SMK dengan mengintegrasikan media digital dalam proses pembinaan guru. Pendekatan ini memperkaya kajian supervisi pendidikan di Indonesia, khususnya pada konteks pendidikan vokasi yang menuntut adaptasi cepat terhadap perkembangan teknologi dan kebutuhan industri.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of school committee empowerment as a supporting sector for the education process at SD Juara in Yogyakarta City in 2021. The research was conducted to identify how the school committee contributes to the effectiveness of educational management and to evaluate the extent of its empowerment in various school aspects. The research subjects consisted of 11 respondents, including the principal, the committee chairperson, secretary, treasurer, public relations officer, representatives of grade 1 and grade 6 school committee members, as well as school representatives in the fields of curriculum, student affairs, finance, and facilities and infrastructure. The study applied a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through interviews, documentation, and observation. The data analysis was carried out through the stages of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the school committee was effectively empowered in supporting the curriculum, finance, human resources, and facilities and infrastructure management. However, the role of the school committee in the area of student affairs was found to be less optimal, showing limited contribution in this aspect. This reveals that while the committee has made significant contributions in some areas, there remains a need to strengthen its involvement in supporting student development more comprehensively. The implications of this study highlight the importance of reinforcing the role of school committees in student affairs, so that empowerment can be implemented in a balanced way across all aspects of education at SD Juara.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe: 1) Implementation of Digital Era-Based Learning on Character Education in SD Muhammadiyah Pangkalpinang 2) Supporting and inhibiting factors of Digital Era-Based Learning on Character Education in SD Muhammadiyah Pangkalpinang. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study include: Teachers, as online learning teachers and students as online learning targets. Data collection techniques using interviews and documentation. The techniques used in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study are as follows: 1) The implementation of Digital Era-Based Learning on Character Education in SD Muhammadiyah Pangkalpinang through 3 stages, namely the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. Planning includes: online learning methods, and the suitability of online learning materials. Implementation includes: online learning process, online learning time and schedule, online student participation, and online learning media. Evaluation includes: Online Learning Assessment, and Online Learning Constraints. 2) Supporting and inhibiting factors of Digital Era-Based Learning on Character Education at SD Muhammadiyah Pangkalpinang.

Abstract

Educational leadership is one of the strategies that determines the emergence of institutional change for the better. In this case, the quality of leadership must be improved over time to ensure the progress of the world of education at the national level. This progress is measured through a value system. This is done to ensure educational goals can be realized in the era of the AI ​​​​technology revolution. Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, commonly known as artificial intelligence, has experienced massive development from year to year. Where the presence of AI technology is closely related to features, functions, and displays that increasingly impact many aspects of human life, including education. These elements can be mentioned as Tangible, Intangible, Reliability, and Responsiveness. Organizational leadership is closely related to understanding the work procedures between units within an institutional organization. Therefore, in relation to this research, every leader must be able to implement artificial intelligence or AI in accordance with current developments. Therefore, as a public leader, they can establish good cooperation and become a reference for the public with a functional and operational management system that includes planning, organizing, staffing, leading, controlling in internal and external activities, with reference to the institution's vision and mission in accordance with current technological developments.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the leadership style of school principals and the factors that influence the leadership behavior of school principals at SD Negeri Baringin, South Tapanuli Regency. This research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive analytical approach. The results of the research show that, First, the leadership style of the principal of Baringin State Elementary School, South Tapanuli Regency is democratic, this can be seen from the role of the principal as educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator and motivator. Second, school principals are quite successful in improving the performance of educators and educational management. This is proven by the good competence of educators. Improving education management standards is also progressing well, namely through the stages of program planning, implementation of work plans as well as monitoring and evaluation. Third, supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing the school principal's leadership style in improving the performance of educators and educational management.

Abstract

The low utilization of digital learning platforms such as belajar.id account indicates that digital transformation at the junior high school level has not yet been fully optimized, thereby affecting students’ engagement in technology-based learning processes. This study aims to analyze and explore the implementation of Akun Belajar.id in enhancing student learning engagement. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. The research subjects included seventh, eighth, and ninth-grade students who had accessed belajar.id. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation using interview guidelines, observation sheets, and documentation notes as instruments. Data analysis was conducted using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model with the assistance of ATLAS.ti 9 software to organize findings. The results reveal that the implementation of the platform’s utilization was carried out through structured stages of planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision. The use of Akun Belajar.id has been proven to increase students’ active participation and enrich digital learning experiences, although challenges remain, such as limited internet connectivity and difficulties in understanding certain materials. The conclusion emphasizes that Akun Belajar.id contributes positively to strengthening digital learning. The implication is that improved infrastructure support, mentoring, and the development of teacher and student competencies are required to optimize the platform’s utilization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan agar mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media pop up pintar dalam program pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi kasus dengan subjek peneltian terdiri dari siswa-siswa kelas 4-6 SD dan guru-guru yang terlibat dalam implementasi program pendidikan karakter menggunakan media pop up pintar selama satu semester. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi observasi langsung pada saat kegiatan pembelajaran dilaksanakan, wawancara mendalam dengan beberapa orang siswa dan guru, serta dokumentasi berupa catatan pengamatan selama proses pembelajaran. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menguraikan hasil-hasil pengamatan ke dalam bentuk naratif serta dilengkapi dengan kutipan langsung dari informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pop-up pintar mampu meningkatkan sikap positif, nilai moral, serta etika sosial bagi para siswa di sekolah dasar. Teknologi visualisasi tiga dimensi ini juga meningkatkan motivasi belajar serta antusiasme peserta didik dan membantu guru memberikan gambaran yang lebih jelas tentang materi pelajaran. Namun demikian, kesuksesan program pendidikan karakter tidak hanya bergantung pada satu metode atau teknologi saja melainkan harus ada dukungan sistematis dari berbagai pihak seperti keluarga dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Implementasi program pendidikan karakter melalui media pop up pintar juga harus dilakukan secara terus-menerus dan berkelanjutan untuk memperoleh hasil yang optimal dalam membentuk karakter siswa.

Abstract

Penerapan pembelajaran jarak jauh atau pembelajaran tatap muka di era pendidikan normal baru memiliki implikasi psikologis bagi siswa termasuk pada pelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan model konseptual implementasi manajemen kurikulum dalam pembelajaran matematika jarak jauh di SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dengan data berasal dari 10 SMP, data diperoleh secara kolektif berupa wawancara dari narasumber. Data diolah dengan aplikasi atlas.ti 8 kemudian divalidasi dan melakukan triangulasi sumber sehingga muncul hasil penelitian yakni (1) strategi pelaksanaan manajemen kurikulum dalam pembelajaran matematika jarak jauh yang diterapkan di pimpin langsung oleh kepala sekolah dengan bentuk brakedown peraturan, (2) pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru berdasarkan perencanaan yang telah disusun oleh guru pada awal tahun ajaran, (3) sarana prasarana untuk pelaksanaan pembelajaran sudah terpenuhi, (4) pelatihan yang diberikan pada guru sudah di program oleh kepala sekolah dengan periodik, (5) pembentukan kelas yang dilakukan berfungsi untuk mengelompokan peserta didik sesuai dengan minat dan kemampuannya, (6) kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru adalah sulit mengetahui eksperesi peserta didik saat pembelajaran, (7) kendala yang dihadapi oleh peserta didik adalah jaringan dan kuota yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik sehingga sulit memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh guru. The implementation of distance learning or face-to-face learning in the new normal education era has psychologically affected the students, including in mathematics learning. This study aimed to find a conceptual model to implement curriculum management of distance learning in mathematics in junior high schools. This qualitative descriptive study collected data from 10 junior high schools. The data were obtained collectively by using interviews. The data was processed using the atlas.ti 8 application and then validated and triangulated the sources so that the results of the research emerged, namely, the implementation strategy of curriculum management of the distance learning in was directed by the school principal in the form of regulatory breakdown, learning carried out by the teacher based on the plan prepared by the teacher at the beginning of the school year, the infrastructure of the learning process was provided, the training provided to teachers was programmed by the principal periodically, the class distribution was based on the student’s interests and abilities, the obstacle faced by the teacher was that it was difficult to know the expressions of the students during learning, the obstacles faced by students was the internet quota and unstable network to such an extent that students were having difficulties to understand the materials delivered by the teacher.
