Abstract

Indonesia, as an archipelagic country located within the Pacific Ring of Fire, has a high level of vulnerability to earthquakes. However, many buildings in earthquake-prone regions have not yet been optimally reinforced against dynamic seismic loads, thereby posing risks to both safety and structural performance. This study analyzes the structural performance of the Cempaka Lima General Hospital building in Banda Aceh, Aceh, Indonesia, using Simeulue earthquake data as the dynamic load. Simeulue Island experienced several major earthquakes, including the significant events in 2004 and 2012, which highlight the region’s high seismic vulnerability. The objective is to evaluate improvements in stiffness, stability, and seismic performance of the building after the application of X-bracing, and to compare these with its condition prior to reinforcement. The novelty of this research lies in the implementation of an X-bracing system in a hospital building located in a high seismic hazard zone, utilizing local earthquake data to yield more realistic results. The findings indicate that the axial force in the unbraced structure reached 20,714.6 kN, whereas after the addition of bracing it decreased to 20,616.33 kN. The largest base shear with bracing occurred on the first floor, at 6512.97 kN (X-direction) and 6497.5 kN (Y-direction). The maximum displacement without bracing was recorded on the fourth floor at 0.564 mm (X-direction), while in the braced structure the displacement was significantly reduced. The story drift values were also below the limit specified by the Indonesian National Standard, which is 2% of the story height, thus fulfilling seismic performance requirements. These results demonstrate that the use of X-bracing can significantly enhance structural stability and maintain the service performance of hospital buildings in earthquake-prone areas.

Abstract

This research is driven by the importance of cost efficiency in the local building material industry in Aceh, especially in addressing fluctuations in raw material prices, high labor costs, and limited production technology. The study aims to analyze the cost efficiency of producing three types of construction materials batako (concrete blocks), red bricks, and lightweight bricks (hebel) using the target costing method. The research was conducted at three local business units in Aceh: Usaha Aneka Lobang Angin (batako), Sentral Batu Bata (red bricks), and BUMG Pulo Kemiro (hebel). A descriptive quantitative approach was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The analysis showed that the cost efficiency levels of each product were 93.33% for batako, 92.96% for hebel, and 90.00% for red bricks. These figures were calculated by comparing the target cost with actual production costs, based on a 25% profit margin. Factors affecting efficiency include raw material prices, production methods, daily productivity, and overhead costs. Among the three, batu bata merah was identified as the most efficient and suitable product for development by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Aceh. The application of the target costing method helps business actors control costs, improve production efficiency, and support sustainable business growth.

Abstract

Roads as an element of national transportation have an important role, especially in supporting the economic, social, cultural, and environmental sectors. Road conditions in Banda Aceh in 2025 indicate challenges in infrastructure. In road damage, there are several repairs such as repairs and overlays that require high costs. The purpose of this study is to compare the cost efficiency between the patch repair method and the overlay method. This research method is quantitative with research procedures guided by Bina Marga. Data analysis was carried out in this study using Microsoft Excel. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the level of road damage on Jl. Kamboja with a research sample of 6000 m2, there are 3 types of damage: patches, cracks, and holes. The total amount of damage on this is 30.0 with additional asphalt concrete damage of 0.51% with a damage area of ​​30.8 m2. From the research that has been done, there are 2 repair methods on this road. For road repairs using the patch repair method on Jl. Cambodia spent less time on the project, with a total budget of Rp59,003,177. Patch repairs were more effective and more economical than overlay repairs. Overlay repairs, on the other hand, cost Rp119,633,072.70, taking longer to complete. For emergency budgets, patch repairs are recommended over overlay repairs.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas pendidikan merupakan salah satu fokus utama dalam pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs) ke-4, yaitu Quality Education. Dalam konteks tersebut, guru memiliki peran strategis sebagai agen utama perubahan pendidikan, di mana komitmen profesional menjadi faktor penentu kinerja yang berdampak langsung pada mutu pembelajaran. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara komitmen guru dan kinerja guru serta implikasinya terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan nasional. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kajian literatur (literature review) dengan menelaah berbagai hasil penelitian empiris, buku ilmiah, dan artikel akademik yang relevan dengan bidang manajemen pendidikan dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa komitmen guru yang meliputi dimensi afektif, normatif, dan berkelanjutan memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru dalam aspek perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Guru dengan komitmen tinggi cenderung lebih inovatif, adaptif terhadap perubahan, dan memiliki tanggung jawab profesional yang kuat. Implikasi dari temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penguatan komitmen guru melalui dukungan kelembagaan, pelatihan berkelanjutan, dan kebijakan yang menumbuhkan kesejahteraan profesi merupakan strategi penting untuk mewujudkan pendidikan nasional yang bermutu dan berdaya saing global. Secara ilmiah, hasil kajian ini memperkaya pemahaman tentang peran komitmen dalam peningkatan kinerja guru, sedangkan secara praktis memberikan arah kebijakan bagi lembaga pendidikan dalam pengembangan profesionalisme guru.

Abstract

Coffee cultivation in fertile regions such as Ciniru District, Kuningan Regency, is still predominantly carried out manually, lacking adequate technological support. However, coffee plants require intensive monitoring of environmental conditions to ensure optimal productivity and quality. The absence of technology adoption in farming practices results in inefficiencies and makes the cultivation process vulnerable to pests and climate-related disruptions. This study aims to develop a smart monitoring system for coffee plantations in Gunung Manik Village, utilizing an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Smart Coffee model. The system is designed to assist coffee farmers in Kuningan in improving yields and providing guidance for crop management through real-time monitoring of soil moisture, environmental temperature, and pest activity. An experimental method was employed in this research, where data is transmitted via radio frequency to a gateway and subsequently forwarded to middleware for further processing. The processed data is then visualized through a dashboard and a mobile-based application. Currently, the system is focused on a single variety of coffee plants. The results demonstrate that the system provides accurate data for irrigation and fertilization scheduling, as well as notifications regarding plant conditions, growth stages, and cultivation status. In conclusion, the coffee plant monitoring system offers a practical digital solution for farmers and is expected to enhance agricultural productivity through the integration of information technology.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) grow and improve, as well as to provide motivation for them to be more creative in developing their businesses. Small business initiatives in Pringgodani Village, Bantur District, Malang Regency have progressed rapidly, achieving a 25% increase in 2024. The community service program was carried out by involving a resource person from Japan, Miyu Uehara, a Japanese student who motivated MSME actors by presenting examples of home-based businesses in Japan that are rich in creativity and innovation. Meanwhile, a graduate student from STIE Malangkucecwara, Edi Purnomo, provided support from the perspective of local government in his role as Subdistrict Head.The activity continued with an explanation of marketing support facilities delivered by the head of the Bantur District MSME association, Mr. Arik Dwi Asmara, who emphasized the importance of product quality to attract consumers and the need for continuous innovation to ensure long-term business sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the instructional leadership of the principal in improving teachers’ pedagogical competence at SD Negeri 2 Tulakan. A qualitative approach was employed to explore in depth the principal’s instructional leadership practices, which include defining the school mission, supervising and evaluating instruction, promoting professional development and maintaining high visibility. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, then analyzed thematically to identify leadership patterns and their contribution to the enhancement of teachers’ pedagogical competence. The findings reveal that the principal has implemented instructional. These practices significantly contribute to the improvement of teachers’ pedagogical competence, although several challenges remain, such as limited resources, resistance from some teachers, and restricted time for instructional supervision. This study recommends the need for continuous leadership training, strengthened coordination between the principal and teachers, and the development of a more effective supervision system to optimize the implementation of instructional leadership in primary schools.

Abstract

AbstractAbaca fiber is a natural reinforcement material with potential to improve the tensile performance of concrete. However, its application in high-strength concrete is often hindered by fiber agglomeration, and studies on its use in such concrete remain limited. This research investigates the effect of incorporating abaca fiber in combination with 5% Oyster Shell Ash (OSA) as a partial cement replacement on the splitting tensile strength of high-strength concrete. Concrete specimens (100 mm × 200 mm cylinders) were prepared with abaca fiber contents of 0.15%, 0.30%, and 0.45% by weight of cement. The OSA was sourced from Krueng Neng, Aceh Besar, while the abaca fiber was obtained from East Java, Indonesia. The mix design followed ACI 211.4R-93 guidelines and ASTM testing standards, targeting a compressive strength of 9000 psi (≈ 62 MPa). After 28 days of water curing, results showed that the lowest splitting tensile strength was recorded for normal concrete (6.81 MPa), while the highest value was obtained for the mix containing 5% OSA and 0.30% abaca fiber (8.87 MPa). These findings indicate that the synergy between OSA and optimal abaca fiber content can significantly enhance the tensile performance of high-strength concrete.Keywords:Oyster shell ash; abaca fiber; concrete high strength; splitting tensile strengthAbstrakSerat abaka merupakan material penguat alami yang berpotensi meningkatkan kinerja tarik beton. Namun, penerapannya pada beton mutu tinggi sering terkendala oleh penggumpalan serat, dan kajian terkait penggunaannya pada beton mutu tinggi masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan serat abaka yang dikombinasikan dengan 5% Abu Cangkang Tiram (ACT) sebagai pengganti sebagian semen dalam menghasilkan kuat tarik belah beton mutu tinggi. Benda uji berupa silinder berukuran 100 mm × 200 mm dibuat dengan variasi kadar serat abaka sebesar 0,15%, 0,30%, dan 0,45% dari berat semen. ACT diperoleh dari Krueng Neng, Aceh Besar, sedangkan serat abaka berasal dari Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Perancangan campuran mengacu pada pedoman ACI 211.4R-93 dan standar pengujian ASTM, dengan mutu rencana sebesar 9000 psi (≈ 62 MPa). Setelah perendaman selama 28 hari, hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa kuat tarik belah terendah diperoleh pada beton normal (6,81 MPa), sedangkan nilai tertinggi dicapai pada campuran dengan 5% ACT dan 0,30% serat abaka (8,87 MPa). Temuan ini memperlihatkan bahwa kombinasi ACT dan kadar serat abaka yang optimal dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan kinerja tarik beton mutu tinggi.Kata Kunci:Abu cangkang tiram; serat abaka; beton mutu tinggi; kuat tarik

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh urgensi penanaman nilai moderasi beragama di tengah keberagaman masyarakat Indonesia, di mana pendidikan agama Islam (PAI) memiliki peran sentral dalam membina harmoni sosial. Fokus utama kajian ini adalah menganalisis strategi pembelajaran PAI berbasis nilai multikultural untuk membentuk sikap toleransi siswa di Sekolah Menengah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka (library research) dengan teknik analisis isi terhadap berbagai literatur primer dan sekunder yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai multikultural dalam PAI dilakukan melalui tiga strategi utama: pengayaan materi ajar dengan perspektif pencarian, penggunaan metode diskusi dialogis, serta kreasi kultur sekolah yang demokratis. Kesimpulannya, strategi pembelajaran PAI yang mengedepankan nilai multikultural terbukti efektif dalam mentransformasi pemahaman teoretis siswa menjadi sikap toleransi aktif, menghargai perbedaan, dan mencegah potensi radikalisme di lingkungan sekolah Kata Kunci: Strategi Pembelajaran, Pendidikan Agama Islam, Multikultural, Toleransi.

Abstract

The enactment of Law No. 16 of 2019 concerning amendments to Law No. 1 of 1974 on Marriage represents a significant legislative development and addresses the need for uniform marriage legislation applicable to all Indonesian citizens. However, in practice, the implementation of this law continues to present legal challenges for certain segments of society, particularly those seeking to enter into interfaith marriages. This study employs a qualitative and descriptive-analytical approach, examining the issue of legal certainty in interfaith marriage in relation to civil registration legislation. The research adopts a normative juridical method, drawing upon the theories of the welfare state, justice, and legal development. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively, systematically, holistically, and comprehensively, incorporating a comparative analysis of interfaith marriage regulations in other countries. The findings of this study are as follows: (1) The issue of interfaith marriage in Indonesia under Law Number 16 of 2019, which amended Law Number 1 of 1974, is neither clearly nor definitively regulated; consequently, parties who intend to contract an interfaith marriage are left with limited options, namely marriage abroad, conversion to their partner's religion, or obtaining a judicial determination. (2) Interfaith marriage intersects with the civil registration function in Indonesia, whereby civil registration as the administrative mechanism for marriage recording does not itself confer legal validity upon a marriage, given that the validity of a marriage is ultimately governed by the religious law of each individual, in accordance with Article 2 Paragraph 1 of the Marriage Law, which stipulates that a marriage is legally valid only if it is solemnized in accordance with the religious law and beliefs of the parties concerned.
