Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the Illegal Gold Mining (IGM) Countermeasure policy in the Kuantan Singingi Regency. This study uses a multi-sectoral multi-organizational network model consisting of a Contextual Assessment approach to understanding the environmental context and identifying stakeholders in policy implementation and joint visioning. This study critically examines the IGM in the regency in qualitative perspective from various related articles. A systematic literature review was used to analyze national and international journal articles from nine managed databases based on these concerns. From the literature review, 22 relevant research-based articles in the last 15 years from 2007 to 2020 were selected from Google Scholar, Taylor, Francis Outline, Springer Link, Emerald Insight, Science Direct, Sage Journal Online, and Oxford Cambridge. Three stages were carried out: preparation, screening and validation, and content review. The findings include 1) research showing that stakeholders involved from both government and community groups do not play an active and synergistic role in controlling IGM. 2) the implementation model of the IGM countermeasure, the government, the private sector, and the community must support each other in controlling and supervising IGM.

Abstract

This study analyzes the atmospheric drivers of extreme rainfall during the 27 April 2023 flood event in Cilacap, Indonesia, using satellite, reanalysis, and in situ data. Convective evolution was examined using rainfall records, Himawari-9 cloud-top temperatures, instability indices (CAPE, CIN, KI, TTI), and surface wind fields. Rainfall exceeded 135 mm from the afternoon to nighttime. Satellite observations showed rapid convective growth, with cloud-top temperatures dropping below −75 °C, indicating mature Cumulonimbus clouds. The 24-Hour Night Microphysics RGB imagery revealed convective initiation around 08:00 UTC and intensification during the evening. Atmospheric instability increased prior to the event, with CAPE exceeding 1600 J kg⁻¹ between 09:00 and 12:00 UTC, while CIN decreased below 80 J kg⁻¹. Surface wind analysis identified a strong low-level convergence zone formed by moist onshore flow from the Indian Ocean interacting with inland winds. This convergence provided dynamical lifting that released the stored instability, triggering deep convection that peaked around 15:00 UTC. The results show that the extreme rainfall was driven by the coupling of high thermodynamic instability and local moisture convergence, demonstrating the value of combining NWP products and satellite RGB imagery for diagnosing coastal extreme rainfall.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze blood glucose profiles based on physical activity levels among residents of Waluyorejo Village, Puring District, Kebumen Regency, Indonesia. A quantitative descriptive approach with a field survey design was employed. A total of 25 adult respondents participated in the study, conducted from July to August 2025. Physical activity levels were assessed through direct observation of daily routines, including occupational activities, mobility patterns, and frequency of physical engagement, supported by short interviews to capture lifestyle history and dietary habits. Blood glucose levels were measured using a digital glucometer through fasting blood glucose (FPG) procedures to ensure measurement accuracy. The data were analyzed descriptively to identify patterns of blood glucose distribution across physical activity categories. The results revealed that the average blood glucose level among respondents was 110 mg/dL. Of the total participants, 32% were classified as normal, 52% as prediabetic, and 16% as diabetic. These findings indicate that a majority of the population is at risk of developing metabolic disorders, despite generally engaging in moderate to high levels of physical activity. The results suggest that physical activity alone is insufficient to maintain optimal glucose regulation without being accompanied by balanced nutritional intake and regular health monitoring. This study highlights the importance of integrating physical activity with comprehensive lifestyle management, including dietary control and routine health screening. The findings provide empirical evidence to support community-based health promotion programs aimed at preventing non-communicable diseases, particularly in rural settings.

Abstract

Background Problems: Motivation and academic learning time are the most important factors for students to achieve their learning goals. Research Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of the TGfU learning model on students' motivation and academic learning time (ALT). Methods: This type of research used the experimental method by using a control class and an experimental class, with research design using a randomised control group pre-test and post-test. The population of this study consisted of vocational high school students who took physical education subjects. The sample was randomly selected with a total of 68 students from 2 classes, with 34 students per class. The experimental (treatment) class used the TGfU learning model with student-centred approaches, strategies, and games. Meanwhile, the control class used the cooperative model, and the approach used was the student-centred approach. The research instruments were pre-test and post-test questionnaire instruments to measure students' learning motivation and systematic observation through duration recording techniques using observation sheets by paying attention to four categories of activities in physical education learning, namely management (M), learning activities (A), instructional (I), and waiting (W). The pre-test and post-test data analysis techniques were analysed using a homogeneity test, a normality test, and a Mann-Whitney test using SPSS version 25. Finding/Result: This study showed significant differences between the control and experimental classes in learning motivation, particularly in intrinsic motivation, identified regulation, and amotivation, with the TGfU approach exerting a significant effect. However, there was no significant difference between the Introjected Regulation and External Regulation categories. In addition, TGfU also improved academic learning time (ALT) and engagement in learning activities (A), but the control class was superior in waiting (W). Conclusion: These findings suggest that TGfU encourages students' active participation and extends overall learning time. Future research could investigate this by using in-depth interviews to elaborate on the factors underlying motivation and student participation through the implementation of TGfU models.

Abstract

Background: Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) often experience delays in motor development and exhibit unstructured physical activity, which may hinder the acquisition of controlled motor skills. These limitations can negatively affect their overall physical health and quality of life. Although inclusive physical education has shown promise, limited research explores the impact of structured video modeling on this population. Research Objective: This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of an inclusive physical literacy model based on video modeling in improving motor skills and physical activity among students with ADHD. Method: An experimental design with a randomized control group pretest-posttest approach was used. The participants were 20 inclusive students diagnosed with ADHD. Motor skills were assessed using selected subtests from the test of gross motor development (TGMD), including horizontal jumping, hopping, and sprinting. Physical activity levels were measured using the physical activity questionnaire for children (PAQ-C). Finding/Results: Independent t-test analysis revealed a significant improvement in the intervention group compared to the control group. The posttest results showed significant differences in motor skills (p = 0.046) and physical activity levels (p = 0.001). Conclusion: The findings indicate that an inclusive physical literacy model incorporating video modeling can effectively enhance both motor skills and physical activity in students with ADHD. This approach supports not only physical development but also fosters better psychological and social outcomes. Future studies are encouraged to implement this model on a larger and more diverse scale.
