Abstract

Kecamatan Sawahan, Kabupaten Nganjuk merupakan salah satu wilayah penghasil bunga mawar (Rosa indica L.). Bunga tersebut tidak hanya memiliki sisi keindahan namun juga memiliki segudang manfaat. Bunga mawar menghasilkan minyak yang dapat dijadikan minyak atsiri. Minyak atsiri mengandung nilai ekonomi tinggi dan bermanfaat di sektor kosmetik, farmasi, serta aromaterapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi pengolahan bunga mawar di Desa Ngliman menjadi produk bernilai tambah serta memberikan pendampingan kepada masyarakat. Dengan metode penelitian berupa studi literatur, observasi lapangan, dan wawancara, ditemukan bahwa kondisi tanah dan iklim mendukung untuk budidaya bunga mawar. Namun, para petani dihadapkan pada tantangan seperti minimnya pemahaman mengenai teknik budidaya yang efektif, keterbatasan akses terhadap teknologi penyulingan modern, serta strategi pemasaran hasil produksi yang belum optimal. Produksi minyak atsiri dapat meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat jika didukung pelatihan, penyediaan alat modern, serta strategi pemasaran yang efektif. Selain itu, pengembangan wisata edukasi berbasis budidaya bunga mawar berpotensi menarik wisatawan sekaligus mempromosikan produk local. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kerja sama antara petani, pemerintah, dan pelaku industri untuk mengatasi berbagai tantangan, mengoptimalkan potensi ekonomi, serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui pemanfaatan sumber daya lokal secara berkelanjutan, yang menjadi faktor utama dalam mewujudkan keberhasilan optimalisasi potensi ini.

Abstract

Kuantisasi besaran fisis merupakan materi penting dalam Fisika kuantum. Topiknya merupakan jembatan dan titik awal revolusi pemikiran Fisis dikenalnya Fisika Kuantum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan metode diskusi untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pendidikan fisika pada materi kuantisasi besaran fisis. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jurusan Fisika Universitas Negeri Surabaya pada matakuliah Fisika Kuantum khususnya materi Kuantisasi Besaran Fisis. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan obyek penelitian mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika B 2012 dan/atau mahasiswa yang memprogam matakuliah Fisika Kuantum pada tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian dilakukan dengan 2 siklus. Pada siklus pertama, hasil belajar mahasiswa sebesar 63,6%. Siklus dilanjutkan hingga hasil belajar mahasiswa lebih dari 75% yakni pada siklus kedua sebesar 79,4%. Perbedaan utama dari siklus 1 dan siklus 2 adalah adanya scaffolding oleh dosen di siklus kedua. Scaffolding yang diberikan berupa pertanyaan-pertanyaan bantuan agar mahasiswa mampu menjelaskan konsep materi yang diajarkan dan proses diskusi dapat berjalan dengan lebih baik.The Improvement of Quantification of Physical Size Understanding of The Pre-Service Physics Teachers using Class Discussion Methods and ScaffoldingPhysical quantities quantization is an essential subject in Quantum Physics. The topic used as a bridge and a starting point of the revolution of physical thinking into the real Quantum Physics. This study aims to determine the application of discussion methods to enhance the learning outcomes of physics education students on the topic of quantization of physical quantities. This research conducted at the Physics Department, Universitas Negeri Surabaya on the subject of Quantum Physics. This research is a Classroom Action Research with research object is students of Physics Education B 2012 and students who programmed Quantum Physics course in academic year 2014/2015. The study conducted with two cycles. In the first cycle, the learning outcomes are 63.6%. The cycle is continued until the learning outcomes more than 75%, that is, in the second cycle is 79.4%. The main difference between cycle 1 and cycle 2 is the presence of scaffolding by lecturers in the second cycle. Scaffolding was given in the form of helping questions so that the students can explain the concept of the material being taught and the discussion process can run better.

Abstract

Background: Education on disaster mitigation remains critically underemphasized, with existing pedagogical approaches often falling short in adequately preparing children for the realities of natural disasters. This gap underscores the urgent need for innovative educational tools that can effectively enhance disaster literacy among younger populations.Aim: This study aims to develop and assess an Earthquake E-Book designed to elevate the disaster literacy levels among children, focusing on its validity, practicality, and effectiveness as educational media.Method: Employing a Research and Development (RnD) framework, the study navigated through stages of problem identification, design formulation, and implementation, excluding the evaluation phase to concentrate on the developmental process. The implementation employed a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design, involving pretesting, intervention (treatment), and posttesting phases. The e-book's validity was appraised by three expert validators, while its practicality was gauged through student questionnaires, and its effectiveness was measured using the N-Gain test on student learning outcomes.Results: The Earthquake E-Book garnered an average validation score of 85.4 percent, positioning it within the valid category. Practicality assessments reflected an 85.4 percent efficiency rating from student feedback. Furthermore, the effectiveness, as indicated by an N-Gain score of 0.74, was classified within the high category, signifying substantial improvements in children's disaster literacy post-intervention.Conclusions: The findings affirm that the Earthquake E-Book stands as a valid, practical, and effective educational tool in bolstering disaster literacy among children. By integrating this digital resource into disaster mitigation education, it is anticipated to significantly contribute to enhancing children's understanding and preparedness for earthquake disasters.

Abstract

Kegiatan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) merupakan bagian dari implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka yang bertujuan membentuk karakter dan keterampilan abad ke-21 pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji keterlibatan peserta didik dalam pelaksanaan P5 melalui proyek wirausaha kerajinan berbasis bahan daur ulang dan budaya Nusantara, serta mengevaluasi dampaknya terhadap penguatan jiwa kewirausahaan dan karakter Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan dukungan data kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari peserta didik kelas XI SMA yang terbagi dalam 12 kelas, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi menggunakan rubrik penilaian berbasis dimensi Profil Pelajar Pancasila, survei dengan kuisioner skala Likert 1-5, serta dokumentasi kegiatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik terlibat aktif dalam seluruh tahapan proyek, mulai dari eksplorasi ide hingga refleksi akhir. Secara kuantitatif, capaian rata-rata Profil Pelajar Pancasila mencapai 77,5 %, dengan indikator tertinggi gotong royong, diikuti berpikir ktitis dan tanggung jawab. Pelaksanaan kegiatan P5 berhasil menumbuhkan karakter dan keterampilan peserta didik secara menyeluruh. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya mendorong peserta didik untuk berinovasi dan bertanggung jawab dalam proses kewirausahaan, tetapi juga memperkuat nilai-nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila yang relevan dengan tantangan abad ke-21 dan konteks budaya lokal. Meskipun masih terdapat kendala seperti kurangnya ide orisinal dan kepercayaan diri saat promosi. Pelaksanaan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dalam bentuk wirausaha kerajinan berbasis daur ulang dan budaya Nusantara terbukti mampu menjadi sarana efektif dalam menumbuhkan karakter serta keterampilan abad ke-21 pada peserta didik.

Abstract

Program Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dalam Kurikulum Merdeka memberikan ruang penguatan karakter peserta didik, salah satunya melalui kearifan lokal. Cerita rakyat sebagai bagian dari budaya tradisional mengandung nilai moral dan identitas budaya, namun semakin terpinggirkan di tengah arus globalisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan projek P5 berbasis cerita rakyat di salah satu SMA Surabaya dengan fokus pada adaptasi cerita menjadi komik digital dan poster. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap 128 peserta didik kelas X. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa projek ini efektif meningkatkan kreativitas, literasi digital, dan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap nilai budaya lokal. Selain itu, kegiatan turut memperkuat karakter peserta didik seperti kerja sama, tanggung jawab, dan kepercayaan diri. Meski terdapat kendala teknis dalam penggunaan aplikasi desain dan perencanaan narasi, pendampingan intensif dari guru dan mahasiswa PLP membantu peserta didik menyelesaikan projek secara optimal. Guru dapat memanfaatkan komik digital berbasis cerita rakyat sebagai media pembelajaran sedangkan sekolah memfasilitasi pelatihan dan pameran karya sebagai sarana pelestarian budaya lokal. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi media visual dan kearifan lokal melalui projek P5 sebagai model pembelajaran kontekstual yang relevan, inspiratif, dan layak direplikasi di sekolah lain.

Abstract

Physics learning in schools can foster essential skills for the current era, one of which is scientific literacy. Scientific literacy involves examining phenomena in students’ everyday lives, which can be explored through local wisdom. However, there are still limited studies that integrate local wisdom into physics learning to develop students’ scientific literacy. Addressing this gap, the present study aims to develop a student worksheet (LKS) integrated with the local wisdom of the Boranan Lamongan dance to enhance students’ scientific literacy. This research describes the feasibility of the developed worksheet in terms of its validity and practicality. The study employed the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The worksheet was tested on a limited scale in class XI science students at an Islamic Senior High School in East Java. The results show that the integration of local wisdom is feasible for use in physics learning to promote scientific literacy. The validity aspect achieved a PoA score of 84.13% (very valid), while the practicality aspect, assessed through learning implementation, obtained an average score of 96.04% (very practical). Overall, the findings indicate that the student worksheet integrating the Boranan Lamongan dance is feasible as a learning medium to foster students’ scientific literacy. Furthermore, this research contributes to the preservation of local culture by incorporating the Boranan dance into physics education.

Abstract

Indonesia has characteristics of increasing temperatures that have yet to be widely known. Sudden temperature changes have brought many losses to Indonesians. The study was intended to analyze the level of scientific literacy on the climate-change material for prospective physics teachers in Indonesia. The study employs a qualitative methodology. The study also utilized descriptive analysis techniques by administering surveys to gather participant data. This study uses descriptive analysis techniques through the administration of surveys to collect data from participants. Increased emissions of greenhouse gases are a contributing factor to changes in temperature and climate. The escalation of greenhouse gas emissions in Indonesia leads to climate change as these gases envelop the Earth and trap the sun's heat, intensifying the greenhouse effect. The outcome entails elevated mean temperatures, alterations in precipitation patterns, and occurrences of severe weather events such as floods and droughts. Evaluating climate or temperature changes necessitates education. Education imparts knowledge about the significance of safeguarding the planet to maintain its well-being. Education plays a crucial role in addressing the challenge of climate change, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between scientific literacy and students' metacognitive abilities. The research method used is literature study, bibliometric analysis using VOSViewers software, and Microsoft Excel processing. The research data was obtained from metadata from Scopus with the keywords science, literacy and metacognitive and in 3,881 documents from 2016-2020, but the first 2,000 documents could be used. The research was conducted in May 2021. The discussion results show that there is still little or no research on scientific and metacognitive literacy. Thus, the topic of scientific literacy and metacognitive trends has the opportunity to be studied more deeply. Nevertheless, scientific literacy has the most significant research opportunity on issues with science education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the local wisdom of gamelan (saron) and the concept of physics on sound waves and to analyze the effect of the material in gamelan (saron) on sound scales and sound resonance. In this article the experimental method used is qualitative research, with conducting structured interviews with informants, and analyzing the data obtained. In this article, the physics concept contained in the gamelan (saron) is obtained, namely the concept of sound waves. In gamelan (saron) when hitting a blade after being hit, the saron blades are dipitet so that the sound produced is not humming and the tone produced is clear. This is also related to the material for making gamelan (saron) which affects the sound produced or sound quality. Each blade or scale on the saron is different from the thinnest to the thickest. From this article it is concluded that gamelan (saron) is related to physics learning, namely sound waves. The materials and ladder blades in the gamelan (saron) affect the quality of the sound produced. Gamelan (saron) teaches Javanese cultural values ??and as a benchmark for the height or civilization of a nation.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with cultural diversity that has been passed down from generation to generation. One of these cultures is the Tongklek art originating from Tuban Regency, East Java. In Tongklek art, all musical instruments used can be associated with the application of physics concepts. However, due to limited human resources, the study of the physics concepts contained in the art of Tongklek has received little attention. This study aims to identify the concept of physics in the local wisdom of Tongklek in order to increase public knowledge. In this study using a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The analysis technique used is data reduction. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the Tongklek art is a type of traditional art in the form of music art found in Tuban Regency, East Java. Tongklek art is a type of art in which there are several musical instruments, among the musical instruments used are kentongan, xylophone, bonang/kenong, gong suwuk, blunt gong, gong jengur/jegluk, drums, and plastic drums. In every musical instrument in the Tongklek art there is a concept of physics, namely the material of sound waves, especially organ pipes. The source of the sound of the Tongklek art, on average, comes from musical instruments that have a certain volume, there are forms where all fields are closed, there are also some of these things which are named as air columns as the source of the vibrations.
