Abstract

Social science is closely related to the human life and social Science helps the students to develop his/her logic beside value and morality. However social science tend to be recital and the information and the knowledge the student obtains are verbal products. The social science characteristics make the instructional process is dominated by expository approach and the teacher mostly uses oral method. This research aimed at improving the student’s learning achievement at Government Elementary School 9, Grade V, in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, by applying talking stick method. The research conducted as from July through September 2014, employed classroom action research with Kemmis and Taggard’s model. The finding indicated talking stick method is effective to improve the student’s learning achievement.

Abstract

The application of a literacy culture can have an impact on strengthening the character of elementary school students. A literacy culture that is instilled early in elementary school can continuously form good character in elementary school children. This study aims to determine the impact of literacy culture on the responsible character of students in the 21st century. The research study was conducted using a quantitative approach using the ex post facto method. The population in this study were 87 students from SD Negeri Bawakareang I Makassar City from grades 4, 5 and 6, while the sample consisted of 55 students obtained by random sampling technique. The data collection method used a questionnaire and was analyzed using SPSS 21. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that a literacy culture of 55% was in the very influential category and the character of responsibility was in the very good category with a percentage value of 53. The results of the inferential analysis showed that there was an influence of literacy culture on the character of the participants' responsibilities students in the 21st century by obtaining a value of Sig 0.000 as determined by Sig (0.000) < (0.05) so that H0 is rejected and H1. The implications of this research are (1) Teachers should pay attention to the media used as teaching materials; (2) Students who are digitally literate must be motivated to develop their learning outcomes (3) A literacy culture can foster an interest in reading and have an impact on the character of responsibility; (4) For other researchers, they can conduct studies outside the culture of literacy and character of responsibility.

Abstract

Empowering groups of teachers in increasing students' interest in entrepreneurship can provide guidance for students, so that students become interested in entrepreneurship from an early age. Students can develop creativity and entrepreneurial culture, as well as open their minds about future opportunities, be sensitive to community needs, and become skilled problem solvers. The urgency of empowering this group of teachers is that teachers must be able to increase students' entrepreneurial interest so that they are ready to become professional workers full of integrity in the future.

Abstract

The development of creative thinking skills in problem-solving is crucial, especially in mathematics at the elementary school level. This study aims to investigate the relationship between the use of Genially learning media and the creative mathematical thinking abilities of fifth-grade students at SDN Sunter Jaya 03 Pagi. Employing a quantitative approach with a correlational design, the study involved all fifth-grade students as the sample. Data were collected through a creative thinking skills test and a questionnaire analyzing the use of Genially. The results indicate that Genially was engaging for students (84%), but they faced language comprehension difficulties (70%). The creative mathematical thinking test revealed that the fluency indicator had the highest percentage (81.5%), while the originality indicator had the lowest (40.5%). Pearson correlation analysis showed no significant relationship between the use of Genially media and students' creative mathematical thinking abilities, with a significance value of 0.731 and a Pearson Correlation of 0.072. These findings suggest that while Genially may be engaging, it does not significantly enhance creative mathematical thinking on its own. The study implies the need for further guidance from teachers in using Genially media to optimize students' creative potential and enhance their understanding of the learning material. This highlights the importance of integrating instructional support with technological tools in the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development yaitu metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan produk tertentu dan menguji keefektifan metode tersebut. Penelitian ini dikembangkan menggunakan model pengembangkan ADDIE. Menurut Borg and Gall. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan berupa buku cerita bergambar berbasis tema keluargaku. Responden dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli bahasa. Dikarenakan adanya pandemi covid-1, uji coba pengguna hanya dapat dilaksanakan pada uji coba one to one yang terdiri dari tiga peserta didik kelas I sekolah dasar yang berdomisili dekat dengan peneliti. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara,  observasi, dan kuisioner. Pada tahap uji ahli materi, buku cerita bergambar memperoleh nilai 92,5% dan termasuk dalam kategori Sangat Baik (SB). Pada tahap uji ahli bahasa, buku cerita bergambar termasuk dalam kategori Sangat Baik (SB) dengan nilai 90%. Sedangkan pada tahap uji ahli media, buku cerita bergambar  termasuk dalam kategori Sangat Baik (SB) dengan nilai 83,3%. Dari ketiga uji ahli tersebut, jika diakumulasikan buku cerita bergambar memperoleh rata-rata nilai 88,6% dan termasuk dalam kategori Sangat Baik (SB) dengan rentang skor 75% -100%. Sehingga layak digunakan pada pembelajaran dengan muatan Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan  dan Bahasa Indonesia Tema 4 “Keluargaku” Subtema 4 “Kebersamaan Dalam Keluarga” Kelas I Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi pustaka yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji informasi mengenai pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Word Square untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada muatan pelajaran IPS di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April-Juni 2021. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik analisis data model Miles dan Huberman. Model Miles dan Huberman memiliki empat tahapan yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan sumber data yang telah dianalisis, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Word Square dapat digunakan sebagai metode alternatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada muatan pelajaran IPS di Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of interactive applications in primary education settings, focusing on continuous assessment practices and the overall performance of teaching Science and Social Studies. A descriptive-comparative research methodology was employed in this investigation. The participants comprised fifteen Grade 4 Cambridge students.The findings revealed that the content utilized for ongoing assessment through interactive applications encompassed information on Earth features, human interaction, and plant-based natural resources. A crucial aspect of evaluating fundamental learning competencies predominantly involved describing, identifying, listing, naming, relating, and explaining concepts within the domains of social studies and science. The interactive approaches to continuous assessment received strong endorsement from the respondents, who found the applications engaging and enjoyable, leading to increased motivation, collaboration, and interest, ultimately resulting in improved academic performance. The individual mean scores for each student indicated a comprehensive understanding of Earth features, human interactions, and natural resources (plants). An action plan was proposed to enhance the effectiveness of Lumi Education Apps in fostering interdisciplinary learning in science and social studies. Furthermore, the study recommends that educators explore the expansion of interactive types of ongoing assessment utilizing Lumi Education Apps.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat implementasi multiukultural di SDS Yasporbi 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Karateristik partisipan penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru-guru sebanyak 4 orang di SDS Yasporbi 1 Jakarta Selatan. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara semi terstruktur, dan analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis tematik. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan 4 (empat) tema yaitu Upaya guru untuk implementasi pendidikan multicultural, Perspective kepala sekolah penerapan multikultural; proses kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas multicultural; proses kegiatan ekstrakulikuler. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara umum ke empat partisipan, yaitu guru kelas tinggi, guru kelas rendah, kepala sekolah, guru agama yang memiliki pengalaman yang berbeda didalam pelaksanaan multicultural yang dialami partisipan.

Abstract

This research is about the description of the implementation of multicultural-based learning. The results of this study indicate the implementation of multicultural-based learning in elementary schools of SDN Menteng 03 Pagi South Jakarta, namely 1) learning is carried out, 2) creating a pleasant learning atmosphere, 3) using various learning methods, 4) implementing learning media using laptops and learning facilities according to student needs, 5) showing learning outcomes, 6) establishing cooperation between teachers and parents. Meanwhile, the main factor supporting teachers in order to provide effectiveness of multicultural-based learning is by utilizing facilities that support learning and learning facilities. Then the main factor that makes multicultural-based learning very good is the collaboration between teachers and parents. The research method used is data triangulation, namely teacher respondents, school principals and students.

Abstract

Fenomena kecanduan terhadap game online sudah merambah ke kalangan siswa sekolah dasar yang menyebabkan siswa terfokus pada kegiatan bermain game saja sehingga kegiatan belajar atau hal-hal penting lainnya seringkali terlupakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu hubungan mengenai tingkat kecanduan game online dengan motivasi belajar siswa kelas III di SDN Jagakarsa 07. Pendekatan pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas III SDN Jagakarsa 07, yaitu 81 siswa. Hasil uji prasyarat menunjukkan bahwa data bersifat normal dan linear. Hasil uji korelasi diperoleh nilai pearson correlation antara tingkat kecanduan game online dengan motivasi belajar siswa kelas III SDN Jagakarsa 07 sebesar -0,507 dan nilai p value <0,001 (p < 0,05). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, yang berarti terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara tingkat kecanduan game online dengan motivasi belajar siswa kelas III di SDN Jagakarsa 07. Keinginan untuk bermain game online dapat menggeser fokus anak dari aktivitas belajarnya, mengabaikan tugas-tugasnya, dan bahkan merasa malas untuk belajar
