Abstract

This development research aims to assess the feasibility and responses to a local wisdom-based learning video on addictive substances as a learning resource for prospective junior high school Chemistry teachers. The ADDIE development model (analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate) was used. Data were collected literature study, observation, interviews, and the use of feasibility instruments and response questionnaires. The video was validated by experts in material, language, and media aspects. Response questionnaires were conducted with 1 lecturer, 2 teachers, and 8 university students in a small-scale response questionnaires, and 36 university students in a large-scale response questionnaires. Feasibility results showed the video’s material was 100% feasible, language 94.6%, and media 100%, with an average of 98.2%. The average responses from lecturers and teachers were 100% and 99.2%, respectively, categorized as strongly good. University student responses were 87.6% in the small-scale response questionnaires, increasing to 92.4% in the large-scale response questionnaires, both categorized as strongly good. Therefore, the learning video on addictive substances based on local wisdom is highly suitable as a supporting resource for junior high school Chemistry and received strongly good responses from lecturer and teachers, and university students.

Abstract

In the modern era and with the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, teachers are expected to adopt a different approach to learning by designing IT-based instruction. Education students, as prospective teachers, are expected to utilize technology to design and develop active and engaging learning experiences. This study aims to examine the competency profile of Chemistry Education students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Tanjungpura University, specifically the 2021 cohort, with a total of 45 respondents. The research method used is quantitative descriptive, with participants selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques include a student competency profile questionnaire on IT-based learning design, a 21st-century skills implementation questionnaire, observation sheets of learning module designs, and unstructured interviews. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The results show the percentage scores for each aspect as follows: critical thinking and evaluation – 84%, e-safety – 85%, information, media, and technology skills – 84%, communication and collaboration skills – 89%, and creativity – 88%. Each of these aspects falls into the "Excellent" category, with an average score across all aspects of 86%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the competency profile of Chemistry Education students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tanjungpura University, in designing IT-based learning as prospective teachers is in the “Excellent” category (86%).

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the validity of the SAVI-based basic chemical law e-module and to determine students' responses to the SAVI-based basic chemical law e-module. This study was conducted at SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak, Class XI Chemistry Major. This type of research is Research & Development (R&D), using the ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) with limitations on the development stage. The results of the study indicate that the developed SAVI-based basic chemical law e-module is included in the very feasible and feasible category with validation results from material experts of 97% (Very Valid), validation from language experts of 100% (Very Valid), validation from media experts of 96.13% (Very Valid), the results of the limited response test conducted by 12 students in class XI Chemistry majoring in three assessment aspects are categorized as very good with details of the module display aspect of 93.75% (Very Good), the material presentation aspect of 93.22% (Very Good), and the benefit aspect of 93.22% (Very Good), and the results of the extensive response test conducted by 24 students in class XI Chemistry majoring in the module display aspect showed a score of 93% (Very Good), the material presentation aspect of 93.48%, and the benefit aspect of 94.53% (Very Good). This shows that the SAVI-based basic chemical law e-module is very feasible to use in the learning process.

Abstract

The limited availability of learning media capable of facilitating students’ understanding of abstract concepts in chemical bonding prompted this research. This study aims to determine the validity level of the developed interactive multimedia and to assess teachers’ and students’ responses toward its use. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using a modified ADDIE model, limited to the development stage. The trial subjects consisted of two chemistry teachers and 9 students for the small-scale test, as well as 30 students from grade XI at SMAN 2 Sekadau for the large-scale test.The validation results from experts indicated that the interactive multimedia was highly valid with an average percentage of 94.17%, consisting of 88.33% for the media aspect, 96.25% for the material and language aspects, and 97.92% for the assessment aspect. Student responses reached an average of 90.69% in the small-scale test and 94.53% in the large-scale test, while teacher responses reached 83.07%.The novelty of this research lies in the use of interactive multimedia equipped with a variety of engaging features, such as ice-breaking activities and educational games, which are rarely implemented in chemical bonding learning at the senior high school level. Therefore, the developed interactive multimedia can be used as a learning medium and further tested for its effectiveness.

Abstract

The Talking Chips learning model is a cooperative approach that uses cards as a tool to regulate speaking turns. Meanwhile, the Quiz Team strategy aims to improve group cooperation through fun activities. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the Talking Chips model based on the Quiz Team strategy on students' interest and learning outcomes. The research was conducted with a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method and a post-test only control group design. The study was conducted at SMPN 26 Pontianak City in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year with a sample of two eighth grade classes with equal academic abilities. The experimental class received learning using the Talking Chips model based on the Quiz Team strategy, while the control class used conventional learning. The research instruments consisted of a learning interest questionnaire and a post-test learning outcome test.The results showed that the average learning outcome score of students in the experimental class (68.23) was higher than that of the control class (60.16), with a significant difference based on the Mann-Whitney test (Sig. 0.046). The Effect Size value of learning outcomes was 0.52, indicating that the learning model had a moderate effect on learning outcomes. In addition, in terms of learning interest, the experimental class obtained a “Very High” category with an average of 91.8%, while the control class was in the “Fair” category with an average of 69.4%. The t-test showed a significant difference (Sig. 0.000) with an Effect Size value of 2.02, which means that the learning model has a very large effect on learning interest. This study combines the Talking Chips model with the Quiz Team strategy as a cooperative learning approach that has been proven effective in increasing student interest and learning outcomes simultaneously.

Abstract

This study aims to describe bilingual learning in PAUD Group B in TK Perintis II Arang Limbung, Sungai Raya District. The method used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The subjects of this study were the Head of Pioneer II Kindergarten, class teachers, student behavior, and parents. Data collection techniques use interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques through qualitative analysis. The results showed that every child can develop language naturally. However, language development is also influenced by parents, the environment, and the world of education, especially in bilingual learning, namely Indonesian and English. Students have been taught in two languages and delivered through singing, playing, and dancing. This attracts students to follow the lesson with a feeling of love and joy. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop English learning media so that children's cognitive abilities can be improved. The conclusions of this program study show that the bilingual program in ECCE provides positive results for children's language development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze students' needs for Android-based learning media, especially for the basics of computer operation. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using the research topic of grade VII students of SMP N 8 Jangkang. This research uses the ADDIE learning design model, ADDIE itself is Analysis, Design, Development & Implementation, and Evaluation. It's just that the stage used in this study is only limited to the analysis stage. The instruments used are in the form of questionnaires for student needs and questionnaires for teacher needs. The data obtained in the study were then analyzed using a percentage formula. The results of the analysis show that 68% of the material on the Basics of Computer Operation is an applied subject, so that in the learning process it not only uses theoretical concepts but is also accompanied by practices that require students to be more independent so that learning media is needed so that it can be learned both in the form of e-modules (video, audio) so that it can be learned anywhere using android. The results of the analysis of the needs of 1 Information and Communication Technology teacher and 32 grade VII students showed that 90% of students had difficulty understanding the material. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a need for the development of android-based interactive learning media on the material Basics of Computer Operation.
