Abstract

Pregnant women have the most intense anxiety among vulnerable and high-risk groups during the COVID-19 pandemic. Increased stress hormone levels limit cervical dilatation, resulting in protracted labor due to excessive worry. One of the reasons of Indonesia's high maternal death rate is prolonged labor. This research sought to identify the variables that impact the anxiety of third-trimester pregnant women at the Community Health Center of Kasihan I during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2022. The study strategy used was a cross-sectional survey approach. The sampling strategy used was purposeful sampling, and the sample size was 74 respondents. Using multiple logistic regression, univariate, bivariate, and multivariate data analyses were conducted. The findings demonstrated a correlation between social support and the anxiety of third-trimester pregnant women at the Community Health Center of Kasihan I in 2022 who were anticipating delivery. This research concludes that there is a correlation between the variable of social support and the anxiety of third-trimester pregnant women. Abstract

AbstractWomen who worked outside the house had two different roles that are both demanding. With those two roles, there were time management issues, emotional burden, and pressure to show different behaviour at work and at home. Facing these challenges, working women needed extra energy to prevent physical and emotional fatigue. One of the thing to do was to provide a house assistant to help with some of house chores so women could have more time to handle family and work and in the end could experience optimism. The aim of this research was to find out the simultaneous effect of work-family conflict and the usesage of house assistant toward the level of optimism of working women in Indonesia. Method of this research was quantitative-causal comparative with purposive sampling technique, involving 204 working and married women. Optimism was measured with a scale based on Seligman (2008) with 35 items (range (r) ≥ 0,3) and reliability(α) = 0,956). Work family conflict was measured with a scale based on Greenhaus & Beutell (1985) with 22 items (reliability (α) = 0,912). The result of this research showed the simultaneous influence of work-family conflict and the usage of house assistant to level of optimism of working women in Indonesia (sig. (p) = 0,000); (p) < 0,05) with double regression equation: Y =  147,392 - 0,804 X1 + 0,320 X2. Work-family conflict and usage of house assistant gave a 44.8% contribution on optimism. Beside that, it was also found a partial influence of work family conflict toward optimism ((p) = 0,000 <0,05) but there was no partial influence of usage of house assistant toward optimism ((p)= 0,775 >0,05. Working women with higher level of optimism were those who were married more than 20 years, have equal and more than three children, and had doctor and health practitioner as their professions.

Abstract

Sucrose polyester (SPE) is a carbohydrate ester compound that has diverse functions, from surfactant to low-calorie food products. Sucrose fatty acid ester with the degree of substitution 1-3 can be used as emulsifier in foods and cosmetics. The enzymatic synthesis of sucrose polyesters can be carried out using lipase in organic solvent and contain small amount of water. In this study sucrose esters were synthesized by esterification reaction between sucrose with fatty acids from coconut and palm oil using Candida rugosa lipase in n-hexane. Optimization esterification reaction was carried out for parameters of incubation time, temperature, and the ratio of the substrate. The optimum incubation time was at 18 hours for coconut oil and 12 hours palm oil, the optimum temperature was 30 o C for coconut and palm oil, and the mole ratio of fatty acid to sucrose was 40:1 for coconut oil and 64:1 for palm oil. Esterification products were characterized by FT-IR. The FT-IR spectrum showed the ester bond was formed as indicated by the wave number 1739.79/cm. Esterification products have 2 substitution degrees.

Abstract

Identifying specific tuberculosis (TB) vulnerabilities in populations based on their geographical, demographic, and epidemiological characteristics is anessential yet challenging requirement to help reduce and eliminate TB. Assessment tools that can accurately quantify the risks associated with key factorscould be used to measure TB vulnerability efficiently and indicate the most appropriate range of interventions. This study aimed to develop TB vulnerability assessment tools based on a TB vulnerability assessment conceptual framework developed with Leximancer. Three steps to produce the tools were facetanalysis, interpreting the facet to create a list of questions, and expert judgment to confirm the suitability of the questionnaire. The “everything is data” principlewas used to identify the data sources and build the tools. The data came from multiple primary data sources, with a questionnaire survey and observational form, and secondary data from various governmental statistical departments in Indonesia to collect data related to demography, health indicators, climate, temperature, and air quality. These tools will be optimized at scale next year to evaluate their utility for prioritizing and prescribing health system responses to TB in different communities in Central Java Province.
