Abstract

In education, a marketing strategy is an effort to connect producers, usually schools, with customers or potential customers. The main goal of this strategy is to increase customer satisfaction by understanding customer needs and expectations and producing superior value compared to competitors. Schools must consider internal and external components and the environment that can influence the success of marketing plans. Education marketing helps attract new students and retain old students. Schools can manage and develop effective strategies by using the marketing mix concept (product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, process). Building trust and loyalty also requires strengthening relationships with communities and maintaining educational quality. Educational institutions can adapt to changes and remain competitive in the market by using the right marketing strategies. This research analyzes the marketing strategies implemented by two private schools, SDIT Pelita Khoirul Ummah and SDIT Muhammadiyah Gunung Terang, in Bandar Lampung, in the context of Islamic education. Both schools have high standards in education and management, with professional teachers and adequate facilities. Although SDIT Pelita Khoirul Ummah shows a higher level of customer satisfaction in the tangible and responsiveness aspects, SDIT Muhammadiyah excels in reliability and assurance. Through a qualitative approach, this research reveals how the two schools strive to understand community needs and improve educational services in order to compete in a tight market. The research results show that effective marketing strategies contribute to parental trust and loyalty, as well as growth in student numbers.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relevance and implementation of Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System (UU Sisdiknas) within the context of globalization in Islamic education in Indonesia. Using a critical literature review approach, this research analyzes national and international publications from the last five years to evaluate the relationship between national education policies and global demands. The findings reveal that globalization has significantly influenced the direction of Islamic education policies, particularly in adapting to technological, economic, and socio-cultural developments. Although the UU Sisdiknas provides a legal framework for integrating Islamic education into the national education system, its implementation still faces several challenges, such as the lack of alignment between Islamic spiritual values and global competencies, weak institutional coordination, and limited digital readiness. Therefore, the development of Islamic education policies should be directed toward achieving a balance between spirituality and modernity by emphasizing curriculum innovation, teacher professionalism, and adaptive governance so that Islamic education can remain competitive while preserving its foundational Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze competency-based human resource (HR) planning in educational institutions through a literature review, with a focus on the synchronization between organizational needs and educators' competencies. The method used is a systematic literature review of reputable national and international journal articles published within the last five years that are relevant to the research topic. The findings indicate that competency-based HR planning is a strategic process that emphasizes the alignment between organizational needs and the quality of educators' competencies, which include pedagogical, professional, social, and personal aspects, as well as the ability to adapt to technological developments. The needs of educational organizations for educators' competencies are dynamic, particularly in responding to the demands of digitalization and the improvement of educational quality. The synchronization between organizational needs and educators' competencies is a key factor that must be implemented in an integrated manner through policies, HR management systems, and continuous professional development. However, its implementation still faces various challenges, such as limited resources, competency gaps, and the suboptimal implementation of competency-based HR management systems. Therefore, systematic strategies are required, including strengthening continuous training, leveraging technology, and adopting adaptive and data-driven leadership. In conclusion, integrated and sustainable competency-based HR planning can enhance organizational effectiveness and improve the quality of education.
