Abstract

The phenomenon of career cushioning Gen Z employees' strategies in preparing career alternatives amid job uncertainty has become a global trend, but has not been widely studied in the context of local Indonesian startups. This qualitative research aims to reveal the motivation and impact of career cushioning on Gen Z employee loyalty in a startup company in Makassar City. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 15 Gen Z employees (20-27 years old) and analysis of supporting documents, then thematically analyzed. The results show that career cushioning is driven by external (startup instability, economic pressure) and internal (desire for self-development) factors, with diverse forms such as side hustle, skills training, or personal branding. Its impact on loyalty is dynamic: in companies with a flexible culture, the practice strengthens commitment; conversely, in restrictive environments, it becomes a stepping stone to exit. The study concludes that career cushioning represents a transformation in the meaning of loyalty among Gen Z from traditional compliance to value-based reciprocity. The practical implication is that companies need to adopt a more adaptive HR management model by integrating career cushioning into employee development strategies.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh program pengembangan  sumber daya manusia terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. Tirta Sukses Perkasa Gowa. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah pengembangan sumber daya alam sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah kinerja karyawan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 50 orang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi sederhana dengan menggunakan spss 22 for windows. Hasil penelitian ini yang diperoleh dari uji t menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan antara kedua variable dengan probabilitas sig. sebesar 0,000  dimana nilai ini jauh lebih kecil daripada 0,05. Hal ini berarti bahwa program pengembangan sumber daya manusia mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Dikarenakan nilai signifikan lebih kecil dari taraf kesalahan (0,05). Kesimpulannya adalah program pengembangan sumber daya manusia berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. Tirta Sukses Perkasa Gowa.Kata kunci : Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia, Kinerja KaryawanAbstract. This research is to find out whether there is an influence of human resource deveplopment program on the performance of PT. Tirta Sukses Perkasa Gowa. Employees. The independent variable in this research is human resource deveplopment, while the dependent variable is employee performance. This type of research is quantitative research. The number of respondents used in this research was 50 people. The data analysis technique used in this research is simple linear regression analysis using SPSS 22 for Windows. The results of this research obtained from the t test show a significant influence between the two variables with a probability of sig. of 0.000 where this value is much smaller than 0.05. This means that human resource deveplopment has a significant influence on employee performance. Because the significant value is smaller than the error level (0.05). The conclusion is that human resource deveplopment has a positive and significant effect on the performance of PT. Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh pemberian insentif terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. Bank Syariah Indonesia Cabang Pinrang .Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi pada Bank Syariah Indonesia Cabang Pinrang sebanyak 35 orang pegawai di tahun 2023. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 35 orang, karena seluruh pegawai dijadikan responden atau subyek penelitian. Teknikpengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi linear sederhana dengan menggunakan Statistical Product Servive Solution (SPSS). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang peneliti lakukan di PT. BNI Syariah Indonesia cabang Pinrang  bahwa pemberian insentif berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil perhitungan statistik melalui pengujian hipotesis secara parsial yangmenunjukkan bahwa t hitung > t tabel maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak.Kata Kunci : Insentif, Kinerja Karyawan.Abstract. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of providing incentives on employee performance at PT. Bank Syariah Indonesia Pinrang Branch. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive. The population at Bank Syariah Indonesia Pinrang Branch will be 35 employees in 2023. The number of samples in this study was 35 people, because all employees were used as respondents or research subjects. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis using Statistical Product Service Solution (SPSS). The results of this research show that based on the results of research conducted by researchers at PT. BNI Syariah Indonesia Pinrang branch found that providing incentives had a significant effect on employee performance. This can be seen from the results of statistical calculations through partial hypothesis testing which shows that t count > t table so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.Keywords : Incentives, Employee Performance.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh kepemimpinan terhadap displin kerja di Dinas Perhubungan Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan merupakan penelitian populasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pegawai pada Kantor Dinas Perhubungan Kota Makassar sebanyak 43 orang. Uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dan mendapatkan hasil yaitu: Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji analisis regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan variabel kepemimpinan berpengaruh terhadap displin kerja di Kantor Dinas Perhubungan Kota Makassar. Kata kunci: Kepemimpinan, displin kerjaAbstract: This research is to find out whether there is an influence of leadership on work discipline in the Dinas Perhubungan Kota Makassar. Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the work environment and commitment on employee performance at the Toraja Agribusiness Autonomous Business Unit, Mengkendek District, Tana Toraja Regency. This research approach uses a quantitative approach. The sample used was 75 respondents. Data collection techniques using observation methods, questionnaires, interviews, documentation. The data analysis technique used is test. The data analysis technique used is validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test and multiple linear regression using Statistics and Service Solution (SPSS) version 25 Based on the results of the research that has been conducted, it shows that the work environment variable (X1) and the Commitment variable (X2) simultaneously have no effect on the employee performance variable (Y). Furthermore, the work environment variable (X1) partially has no influence on employee performance with the calculated value of tcount 0.631 < ttable 1.993 and a significant value of 0.530 > 0.05. The commitment variable has an influence on employee performance with the calculated value of tcount 2.072 > ttable 1.993 and a significant value of 0.042 < 0.05. So that employee commitment to the Toraja Agribusiness Autonomous Business Unit has a greater contribution to improving performance compared to the work environment in the context of the agribusiness autonomous business unit.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pemuda Desa Rumbia, Kabupaten Jeneponto dalam memanfaatkan e-commerce dan manajemen pemasaran digital untuk produk UMKM lokal. Melalui metode pelatihan partisipatif yang menggabungkan ceramah interaktif, praktik langsung, dan pendampingan intensif, program ini berhasil meningkatkan signifikan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata post-test sebesar 78% dari baseline 42%, dengan 85% peserta berhasil membuat akun e-commerce dan mempublikasikan produk UMKM. Program ini juga memicu terbentuknya tiga kelompok usaha kolaboratif yang mengembangkan strategi pemasaran untuk produk unggulan desa. Tantangan utama yang teridentifikasi meliputi keterbatasan infrastruktur digital dan kebutuhan akan pendampingan berkelanjutan. Rekomendasi untuk pengembangan program meliputi: (1) ekstensi periode pendampingan, (2) kolaborasi dengan platform e-commerce, dan (3) penguatan kelembagaan melalui pembentukan digital hub desa. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan pelatihan berbasis praktik efektif dalam memberdayakan pemuda desa untuk beradaptasi dengan ekonomi digital.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation and compensation on employee work discipline. This research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach and multiple linear regression analysis. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The population in this study were 44 people, who also became the sample in this study with the sampling technique using saturated sampling. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 26 software, to test the effect of work motivation and compensation variables on work discipline. The results of this study indicate that work motivation and compensation have a positive and significant effect on employee work discipline, partially and simultaneously. This study shows that the better the work motivation and compensation, the more employee discipline increases at the Burau Electronic Source Store.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into recruitment processes has transformed hiring practices, yet its ethical implications remain contested. This phenomenological study investigates job candidates’ lived experiences with AI-driven tools, focusing on perceptions of algorithmic bias and procedural fairness. Through in-depth interviews with 20 participants subjected to AI-powered resume screening, video interviews, and gamified assessments, the study uncovers recurring themes of opacity, demographic disparities, emotional dehumanization, and procedural injustice. Findings reveal that candidates, particularly those from marginalized groups, perceive AI systems as less transparent and more exclusionary than human evaluators, fostering distrust and emotional distress. The research highlights how algorithmic tools often replicate systemic inequities under the guise of neutrality, disproportionately affecting individuals with non-Western names, accents, or non-normative identities. By centering candidate voices, this study advocates for human-centered AI redesign, emphasizing participatory audits, transparency mechanisms, and accountability frameworks. These insights contribute to the discourse on ethical HR technologies, urging policymakers and organizations to prioritize equity and dignity in the automation of recruitment.

Abstract

This study examines employee perceptions of Virtual Reality (VR) training within a Jakarta-based fintech company, focusing on its effectiveness, challenges, and implications for equitable learning. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through participatory observation and semi-structured interviews with 25 employees engaged in a 12-week VR training program. Findings reveal that while VR enhances engagement and practical skill acquisition through immersive simulations, technical barriers, such as hardware discomfort, connectivity issues, and cognitive fatigue, pose significant challenges. Additionally, disparities in technological literacy and resource access underscored equity concerns, particularly among junior and non-technical staff. Despite these hurdles, collaborative VR modules fostered peer learning and motivation, though participants emphasized the irreplaceable value of human interaction in training. The study advocates for human-centered design principles, urging organizations to adopt participatory approaches and hybrid models that integrate VR with traditional mentoring. By addressing infrastructural and inclusivity gaps, fintech companies can harness VR’s potential to create adaptive, equitable training ecosystems in the metaverse era.

Abstract

Businesses and organizations frequently struggle with staff retention. At the Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan, the goal of this study is to determine how career development and internal communication impact employee retention. Using the basic random selection technique, 45 people were chosen as a sample from the 83 government employees that make up the research population. After distributing surveys to gather data, IBM SPSS software was used for a number of statistical analyses. It was discovered that internal communication and career development had a positive and considerable effect on employee retention, both separately and in combination. Internal communication is rated at 1.381, while career development is rated at 0.825. The results of the study show that staff retention at the Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan is impacted by internal communication and career development.
